Summary: The perspective from which you interpret events in your life determines their power and effect on you. Seeing things from a biblical perspective and adopting a positive, optimistic narrative of life can lead to a healthier, more creative life. It's important to write down your visions and goals, and to see events in your life as potentially redemptive and purposeful. Even difficult moments can be opportunities for growth and spiritual development. An example of this is Jacob's dream in Genesis 28, where he was in an uncertain place in his life, but God appeared to him and gave him a vision of a bright future.
In Genesis, Jacob has a dream in which God tells him that he will inherit the land and his offspring will be like the dust of the earth. God assures him that he is with him and will not leave him until he has fulfilled his promise. Jacob awakens and realizes that God is present in that place and fears it is the gate of heaven. The perspective with which we interpret events in our life is important in navigating the storms of life. Joseph's story illustrates that God uses difficult situations to position us for his purposes. Joseph realizes that God used his brothers' actions to bring him to a position of power to save his family. Joseph's response shows that he understands God's sovereignty and plan.
Joseph tells his brothers that he was sent to Egypt by God to preserve their lives during the famine. He reminds them that they did not send him, but it was God's plan all along. The perspective we have on our circumstances determines our reaction and effect on our lives. As Christians, we must trust that everything that happens in our lives is for our good and God's glory. We must look for the hidden gold in our trials and live hopeful lives. We have the resources of heaven in our favor and can face any situation with joy and confidence in God's faithfulness.
Continue with our meditation on what are those spiritual principles contained in the word of the Lord. We have been talking in this series about how to live healthy lives, live healing lives, how to transform ourselves from our wounds, sufferings, sufferings, tragedies, limitations, losses, what principles are contained in the word of the Lord so that in this sometimes valley of tears that is life, we can live healthy lives, smiling, blessing others, giving to others, healing our own wounds, so that we can be healers of others and process every day all the struggles and challenges that come into our lives.
And we've discussed different principles. In these last two Sundays we have been talking about the importance of visualizing in mind the positive scenarios that God has for us, how to use our creative imagination, the power to see God's bright future, the power to create positive images and visions. , and write them, record them, greet them, prophesy them, declare them, align our lives according to those specific visions we have of what we believe God wants us to be and do.
You have to define the beautiful scenes of God. You have to think about them, you have to focus on them and in fact, discussing with the deacons this past week I went back to the sermon that I preached in December of 2013, which was that sermon on consolidation. And on the following Sunday in January I preached another sermon continuing that theme and outlined some 7, 8 specific goals within that theme of consolidation, and reading it to the deacons I realized that at least 6 or 7, perhaps missing one, I thought that we still had not worked well, but the vast majority of the goals, within the vision of consolidating, strengthening, consolidating the church in its different aspects of life, we had reached almost all goals or we had advanced a lot and we were able to celebrate that .
One of them was, for example, learning to use the 3 buildings as a single unit and how to move within that... and how to consolidate the use of the 3 buildings. And at the time I had no idea about the connector, but look now how the connector has helped, you walk through and you're in the other building in no time. And we've been learning how to use our physical plant as a single unit, how to distribute what, where to have what, where to do things and all of this. Now on November 7, the sisters, the women, are going to use this sanctuary, they are going to use the original sanctuary, they are going to use the room upstairs on the 4th floor, they are going to use the basement of the original sanctuary, and we have learned to use those more different parts of the building.
If we are going to put it later... learn to function again... that was not it, then later... embellish and give the final touches to the sanctuary, chairs, the ceiling of the 4th floor, decoration, etc. Well, there you see some of those things that we have done and also later… The idea was how to use the 3 buildings as a single unit, among others, because you can see the goals there. Number 10. Learn to function in the light of two sanctuaries and 3 buildings with two main services in English and Spanish, and develop the mechanics of how to do this.
I say that because it is important for one to write the visions, write things down, establish the goals that lead to the realization of the greater vision and this you have to do in your life. That is one way of your living a creative life, a deliberate life, a purposeful life. Write down your visions, listen within yourself, visualize the scenario that you want for your marriage, for your children, for your personal life, etc.
And now I want to talk about another point, another fundamental principle for a positive and creative life. And it's more like it's an idea that you should always have in your mind, and it is this, according to or according to how you frame the events of your life that determines the power and effect that those events will have on you.
Again, according to how you visualize, or rather, from the perspective from which you interpret things happen in your life, if you can interpret it in the light of God's purpose, in the light of a positive redemptive idea, that will determine what happens in your life with respect to that event.
In other words, if something that happens in your life you see as another indication that you are not worth anything, that the world is unfair, that the world is bad, that God does not love you, people are bad and there is no possible solution to your problem or that nothing good can come out of what has happened to you, that you have already failed, that everything is over, or perhaps you can look at it in a way that says, you know what? I believe that God has some purpose in this. If God has allowed it, it is for some reason and I am going to ask God to give me wisdom to know what he is up to, and I am going to wait until I see what God is doing in my life, for that God has allowed this.
If you think, you know what? Okay, I'm on trial, yes, I've had a loss, but in the name of the Lord I'm going to turn this into gold to move on. God is going to get me out of this test, I am going to be strengthened through it. I have gone through worse things before and God has brought me forward, why not now. If you, when a difficult moment comes in your life, go into your arms, throw yourself to death, stop praying, stop seeking the Lord, stop reading the word, stop coming to church, stop serving, what what's happening? The devil got away with it. And your attitude becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Because if you said, this is for death, it will be for death.
Now, if you say, no, in the name of the Lord I can be victorious. The Lord has said that he will be with me wherever I go. And then you put your batteries together and gird your loins and begin to pray and fast and acclaim and seek the Lord, God is going to give you the answer, and you will see that what seemed like a tragedy without possible redemption turns out to be the moment of God's visitation in your life. Amen.
How many of us have seen that moments that we thought were destruction were the key moment to move on in the Lord? Sometimes a marriage crisis can be what brings you to the ways of the Lord and what seemed like something terrible and deadly, one day you look back and say, wow, that was the beginning of my spiritual birth. A financial defeat can be the beginning of a man to stop trusting himself so much and start trusting in God and humble himself before God, and that totally changes his life. How many has not happened like this?
So, what I want to say, brothers, is that nothing that happens in your life has an absolute value, it is relative, it depends on what perspective you adopt, how you see it, how you live it. If you think that you are alone in the universe and that there is nothing around you and that you are there to fend for yourself, then you are going to have a miserable life and your struggles are going to have to be fought by yourself. But if you believe that you are surrounded by a company of angels, that the Holy Spirit is with you, that you have your spiritual family around you that prays for you, that changes your perspective of how you see things. Amen.
So, it's important, what I want to say is that one of the things that allows people to be healthy in the world is when they adopt a biblical perspective, when they see things in the light of God's word, when they throw set aside negative, destructive, pessimistic thought patterns, and embrace an optimistic – to use that word – narrative about life because God is with us.
When tragedies and problems come into your life and when you look at the things that sadden you, the goals not achieved in the past, the disappointments in life, the things you didn't achieve, it all depends on how you look at it. If you see it as wow, I missed the bus and another one doesn't come back, forget that it's going to destroy you, it's going to shoot you. But if you see, no, wait, God has something better for me, something good can come out of this. So you see it that way and everything changes.
I would tell the brothers, I don't know if it was in this service or the other, or if it was at a wedding, there are so many places where one speaks, that one doesn't know who they said it to, but I would tell them, something so simple everyday life like a little while ago I was going to meet a brother who invited me to eat at a restaurant in Cambridge and it was rush hour, around 6:00 in the afternoon and I went there through an area of the Gallery Mall, and I was going to look for a parking lot, there was nothing anywhere, that over there is a monster, and it was too far to park in GalerĂa Mall itself, but for now, as one sometimes does, and I saw a space of cloudscape that it happened to me, or I passed it, and I did like that and took a ride as a New York taxi driver, in u, listen to me it was as if the devil was seeing that space there. A man who was in front precisely takes the blessed space and takes it right there when I'm almost ready to turn and put the wheel into the space. I said, what the hell, this guy seems to have prayed better than me this morning.
The case was that I said, well, since I'm in this direction I'm going to continue. I continued a little more towards the restaurant where I was going and turned left and there were about 4 parking spaces right next to the blessed restaurant. I stood there like a general and walked about 4 little steps and entered the restaurant. The Lord had a better parking lot for me. If I take that one I have to walk about a block and a half and it was actually raining, the Lord said, my son, I don't want you to get wet, I'm going to put you here near the parking lot.
Sometimes that is how it happens in life, that sometimes something happens, you lose something, an option that you longed for is closed to you, a job that was the one you wanted and that was the one that was going to change your life, but God had something better for you. But if you get depressed in the moment and start cursing God and say, you see that this life is worthless, God doesn't love me, God doesn't care about me, then by interpreting the event of your life in a destructive way , negative, many times you close the opportunity for God to do what he wants to do in your life. Because you never know what God is… this world is too complex and God is looking 20 steps ahead of you and you are only sometimes looking 2 or 3 steps ahead of you and that is why it is so important to take God's perspective on life. experience of your life.
I was thinking of a passage that I wanted to use as a starting point, but I already got into the sermon anyway. It's in Genesis chapter 28, verses 10 through 17. It's a sad moment in the life of Jacob, the great man of God, this patriarch. And Jacob has had a very big failure in his life, he deceived his brother Esau. You know the story, Esau was furious with him because he stole his birthright, a trick he played on him. Esau wants to kill him. Jacob flees with what he can and at night, fleeing, he throws himself to sleep in a solitary space, on a mountain, and there he has a dream. He says in verse 11:
“…And he got to a certain place… – a certain place is anywhere, he got to a place, he was tired and he said, you know what? Here I am going to jump. But that certain place that seemed to have nothing to recommend it or make it exceptional, was not anywhere, and so he had a dream there. He lay down in that place and dreamed and saw a ladder that was leaning on the ground and its end touched the sky and it says that there were angels that descended and ascended that ladder and the Lord gave a revelation to Jacob.
This failed man, exiled, running from his brother, running from his family, an uncertain future ahead of him. He has no money, he has no future, he doesn't know what he is going to do with his life. God appears to him in that place, which is a certain place, which does not seem to have anything supernatural. And there the Lord says to him, “I am Jehovah, the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac, the land on which you are lying I will give to you and to your descendants. Your offspring will be like the dust of the earth. You will stretch out to the west, to the east, to the north, and to the south, and all the families of the earth will be blessed in you and in your seed.”
Wow! God says that to a failed man, who has lost everything, who is without a family, who is without money, who believes that his future is completely closed, but God has a different perspective of what he is experiencing. God knows that he is just beginning his career and that all this is part of a plan that he already has from the beginning of the world, and he is involved in that experience, but he does not have the divine perspective. He is there on that stone sleeping there with his head on that earth and God is in heaven, because he is seeing everything in front of him, he is even seeing the future, centuries and centuries later.
And God tells him, look, this is the perspective that I have of what is happening to you. You are there for a purpose, this is a moment, I have stopped you here for a moment to tell you what you are going to be. Your failure is not failure. Your loss is not loss. Your exile is not exile. Your misery is not misery. Your dead end is a 17 lane, endless avenue that is ahead of you. You think you are barren, you have millions of lives in your spiritual womb. God had a different perspective. He couldn't see her at the time, he didn't know what he was doing.
He says, "I am with you, I will keep you wherever you go and I will bring you back to this earth, because I will not leave you until I have done what I have told you..."
Wow! When God has a purpose in our life, no one can take it away from us. I will not leave you until I have done what I have told you. But what captivates me about all this, one of the things is the way that if Jacob could see the events of that moment in his life in the light of what God has in hand, everything would change. He would be happy, he would be laughing in his sleep. But he doesn't know the plans, the complexities of what he is experiencing.
So, it says in verse 16: “… and Jacob awoke from his sleep and said – here is the key – Surely the Lord is in this place and I did not know it. And he was afraid and said, how terrible is this place. It is nothing other than the house of God and the gate of heaven.”
Focus on those two ideas. Certainly Jehovah is in this place and I did not know it. Brother, perhaps you are going through a situation right now in your life, or have gone through situations in your life, that God is there in that situation and you don't know it, you just think, this is another place like any other, a certain place of human life, but God is involved in that moment of your life and God is with you and is living and has good purposes for you. He tells you in 5 years you won't remember this, on the contrary, you're going to laugh at how I got a victory out of what seemed like a total defeat. And I am with you and I am going to help you, I will not leave you, I will not forsake you, I will be with you wherever you go. Live that moment with hope in your heart because I have good purposes for you. Amen.
And he says, "how terrible is this place, it is nothing other than the house of God and the gate of heaven." Look, sometimes the terrible thing about your situation is nothing more than the door of heaven, that's where God wants you to enter to reach the totality of what he has for you. Sometimes the gates of heaven are very difficult, very terrible, they inspire terror in us. God has a great sense of humor and sometimes I think that he provides very ironic situations to get us into the blessing and what we see is simply something horrible in front of us, but the presence of God is there.
And that is why it is so important that when we are experiencing any situation in life we stop, before arriving at a decisively negative conclusion about what is happening to us, say, but wait, what if God is seeing it in a different way? different?
That is the factual origin of Habakkuk, chapter 2, which I used last Sunday as a starting point for meditation on vision, because Habakkuk had seen all the destruction of his people and had seen how those enemy nations had killed his people. He had seen so much horror in the land of Israel, and Habakkuk said, “Lord, I cannot explain this in light of your redemptive purpose with your people, why do you bring me in to see so much suffering and destruction?” and that's where it says in chapter 2, it says that then he said, "Well, I'll be on my guard to see what they will say to me regarding my complaint, and what I have to answer before the Lord." And God spoke to him and said, "Write the vision," etc. And God explained to him what was happening.
So many times when we are going through tribulations and difficulties, brothers, the first thing you should do, before starting to kick and protest and complain to God, first stop, stop for a moment and say, "Lord, how do you want us to I see what is happening to me? What purpose do you have in this? What are you doing in my life? How does this situation reflect early in your writing? May I interpret this in light of your sovereign purpose?
Because remember that God is not so interested in your comfort as in your holiness. God is not interested so much that you enjoy life and that everything goes well for you, as that you become a powerful man or woman in the Lord, who reflects the image of Christ. And if you have to go through tribulations to train you, he will do it. I have learned that, that God is not forming a parasite, no, God is forming a man of war, a woman of war, a prophetess, a teacher, a counselor, a poet, and that sometimes requires strong treatment in us .
Never think that only good things are those that speak of the presence of God. Sometimes the terrible things are the ones that speak of God's presence in your life. God is in the house of mourning many times, not only in the place of joy. And that is why you cannot say, ah, this is good, it gives me joy, it suits me, I like it, it flatters me, therefore God is here. no, sometimes you have to say, you know what? This is terrible, it is the worst thing that has happened to me for that reason I believe that God is here and then start looking for the presence of God in that and look towards the redemptive future that God has for you.
So, that principle of how you frame and the perspective with which you interpret the events of your life will help how you navigate the storms of life and if those storms leave you like a castaway lying there on the shore destroyed and exhausted, or if they leave you fresh, better than ever, having lost a few pounds and stronger than ever to run the race of faith. It all depends on how you look, how you interpret the things that happen in your life.
José is a very illustrative case in this regard. Again, Joseph has a dream, a vision, God tells him, "Look, the day will come when your brothers and your parents will bow down before you." José is only 14, 17 years old, the youngest of all the brothers, his brothers are strong, hardworking and involved in the fields. He, a puny, dreamy little boy, and God tells him, "They're going to bow down, they're going to revere you." And he shares his dream and there it is unleashed. That's why he says, declares the vision.
When you declare the vision that God has placed in your heart many times, the outcome of it begins there. He declares to his brothers and I also want to say, be careful who you declare your visions to because many times they will want to destroy you. His brothers are furious, “How come we are going to bow down before you? You're crazy, boy." They are filled with anger and envy, they sell it to Egypt and José thinks, that's where my life ended. But there was beginning his life. God was taking him to Egypt to position him and then God goes to work all around Joseph, because God is a strategic thinker. There was something that had to mature in Pharaoh's heart and other geopolitical events that had to take place in Egypt and he puts Joseph to season first, over low heat, with a little stir-fry, he adds it so that the meat seasons well and take the juice – It's not that I'm hungry, I had a good breakfast, just in case.
But he puts him in Potiphar's house, where he thrives for a while, and Joseph says, oh, God is with me. Potiphar's wife slanders him, oh, God left me. He puts him in jail, oh God he left me. In jail they put him to work and supervise, oh God is with me. Then they forget about him and finally God works with Pharaoh and the time comes, they take him out of jail.
You know the story, José becomes the vice president of the entire nation in charge of a huge public project and his brothers who sold it now there is a famine in the region where they live. They have forgotten about him, perhaps 15 years have passed, nobody knows, José was perhaps 30 years old, it was a long time. It seems that it was a few days but no. Joseph spent many years in Egypt, seasoning the original vision with much bitterness.
Have you ever eaten a piece of raw garlic? I don't know, but it tastes like hell. Yes or no? The garlic must be cooked well and the pepper, absorb two or three grains of pepper in your nose so that you can see what it does to you. But all these seasonings together, that's why you have to fry things, so that they release their flavor. If you eat it raw that is terrible, that is why many times the nutrients of our life God puts them to season over low heat before using them. Write that down for me so I don't forget.
He knows that when God wants to give you something he puts it on a slow fire and sometimes we get impatient. You are taking too much, what is God doing? He forgot. I tell you from my own experience, but sometimes you have to go little by little. The nutrients in our final meal, which is us, have to simmer until they can give everything they have inside. At first they are bitter and offensive to the taste, but they are necessary to produce something tasty in our lives.
And then when over there now there is famine in the land of Canaan, on the other hand there is famine in Egypt, there are geopolitical events that God has been preparing, the heart of Pharaoh, a series of things, and finally everything comes together, the brothers come of José and when José reveals himself to them, they are afraid that José is going to kill them because he is going to take revenge on them. They sold it to some merchants in Egypt.
But look how Joseph now, in light of what God has done in those 15-odd years, or whatever, understanding the trajectory that he's been through, he knows now that no, they had to sell him, that they did him a favor by selling it, because now look at his position where he is. Not only is it a very exceptional position.
By the way, I just put a few things so that you can read it in the meantime if you can. One day what we want is a good projector so that you can read that there in high definition, not the rickety projector we have, where sometimes one says, what is it? Is it Chinese, is it Japanese, Spanish or what? But that will come, don't worry, with the help of the Lord. Those are some inspiring images, which I said, put them out there while we're talking about these things.
So, José tells his brothers, chapter 45, see 4 to 8. The brothers think, José is going to cut off our heads, but he says no, José understands now. No, look, everything that happened to me, the fact that you sold me, the fact that you slandered me, the fact that I ended up in jail, that was God's plan to take me to this moment of glory and to be able to save his life. you and my family, and now I understand that what God did was not because you… No, he used you to bless me and to bless you and my family too.
So, look how Joseph answers them, 45:4 Genesis, says:
“…Then Joseph said to his brothers, “Come near me now,” and they came near, and he said, “I am Joseph, your brother, the one you sold into Egypt. Now don't be sad..."
Hey, can you say that to someone who has hurt you in your life? The groom who left you at the altar when you were getting married, the lawyer who betrayed you when you bought the house and told you, “No, get into it because you can afford it,” and then you ended up losing the house. You can forgive him and you can say to him one day, when you see him on the street and he gets in the car as soon as possible, and you touch him, “Don't worry, it's okay, I forgive you. Don't be sad. Do not be ashamed. Don't worry, God used that to bless me in another way."
Joseph comforts them and tells them, "... do not be saddened, or regret having sold me here, - and I have always liked this - because God sent me ahead of you to preserve life."
It was not for death, it was not for tragedy, it was not for glorifying the devil. It was not for the devil. No, it was for the preservation of life.
"...and you did not send me, God sent me ahead of you..."
He sent me as a herald, as a messenger of life and blessing, he sent me as a missionary to prepare the way. And you know that Egypt was the matrix that God used for 300 years so that there, in Egypt, the people of God would become a nation. God is an incredible thinker. He prepared Abraham hundreds of years before to run the earth and mark it, then he prepared a personal drama with Joseph, and then he prepared Egypt so that for 300 years this nation would go from being a family, Jacob and his sons and their wives, and to be a people of a million or more souls. And when the people were ready then God sends Moses and prepares Moses, which was also another very interesting drama. And when everything is ready he also says to Moses, "Now take my people out of Egypt because they have grown enough and now send them to the land that I have prepared for them."
Listen, it's that God is doing things and nobody knows what God is cooking right now at this moment, for example, in human history. That's why I told you some time ago, let's not worry about what we see, there are people who are trembling, depressed, not wanting to have children because of this cruel and bad world. Look, if you get sad and timid, the devil will eat you. Live a powerful life.
The church of Christ does not leave this world until Christ comes. The church of Christ is not going to disappear from this world. God has purposes and God is doing things in the world and it seems like right now the world is falling apart but this world has been here for thousands and thousands of years and will continue until God says. You have to live life in the light of God, the movements of God.
So, God does all these things and Joseph tells them, "Don't worry, God has sent me here, for there have already been two years of famine in the middle of the land and there are still 5 years left, in which there will be neither plowing nor harvesting." . God sent me ahead of you - verse 7 - to preserve your posterity on earth, and to give you life through a great deliverance. Therefore, you did not send me here, but God, who has made me the father of Pharaoh and lord of all his house and ruler over all the land of Egypt.” Glory to the Lord.
This man who seemed like everything... stuck in a hole, in a well, trembling with cold and terror, a young man, and he did not know that he was living a drama that millennia later a congregation of Latinos would be in Roxbury, Massachusetts speaking of the. Hallelujah!
Who knows if the next José is there among you? And God is doing something to prepare you for something great that God has for your life. It could be you, a young man who is there, a dreamer, someone who is living a drama right now, eating a cable, as we say in the country, suffering something, a betrayal, an illness, perhaps on Friday the doctor told you that you have cancer or that you have diabetes and that you are going to have to take medicine your whole life. I don't know what is happening in your life, but how are you going to see that in light of God's redemptive plan?
You have the option to say, you know what? This from the Gospel this is a hoax, I convert and then they tell me that I have diabetes. I convert and the bride leaves me. I convert and the engine of the car burns out and now I have to pay a thousand dollars to buy another car or buy another engine, or whatever.
That is one way of looking at things, throw a tantrum and start protesting against God. Or you can say, let me stop this for a moment here. Lord, talk to me, tell me what you want me to do. How do you want me to interpret what has happened to me? What do you have in your hands? I know that you are my provider, I know that you cannot do anything wrong by definition, because everything you do is good. You don't sin, you don't lie, you don't explode, you don't oppress, you don't voluntarily make man sad. So what are you doing in my life? Teach me to see through your eyes.
My brother, there are many more things that we could… maybe I will continue next Sunday, but there is a lot here that we can get out of this idea. Your perspective will determine your life, the interpretative lenses with which you see the events of your life, will determine the effect they have. If you see them in a redemptive, positive, hopeful way, in the light of God's love and his constant presence in your life, even when you don't see it or don't feel it, that will allow you a happy man, a happy woman, the trials, difficulties, and yes, you will be walking a little limping because your leg or hip hurts or whatever, but there will be a smile in your heart and on your mouth and you will be able to praise the Lord and you will be able to look forward with hope and you will perhaps even reserve to comfort another.
Because I have seen people who are going through great tribulations and when you go to comfort them, you come out comforted. Because? Because they are seeing things in a different way. And it's not born overnight, it's not something you learn, it's a skill, a virtue that takes years to cultivate and adopt, until it becomes part of your framework and your resources and your arsenal of weapons that you use to fight with everything that life throws at you.
But we have to ask the Lord, Lord, help me to always take the divine perspective and to say to you, Father, talk to me, what are you doing right now? I want to see in the light of your promise and your control of the universe. There are so many passages that remind us of that truth, to those who love God all things work together for good, he says. This is to those who are called according to his purpose.
For me that is a frame of reference for all the things that happen in my life. God has said that to those who love everything helps for good. This has happened to me, it doesn't seem good but in the long run it has to work for the better, so I'm going to start looking for what the mathematics is and how I get the answer I need from this.
You have to assume that everything that happens in your life is by definition good. There are no dead ends in the life of a child of God. There are no unredeemable tragedies in the life of a man, a woman, who has believed in Christ Jesus and who has the resources of heaven in his favor. There is always something good that will come out of whatever situation you are going through in your life. Start looking for the hidden gold, you will find it and then you will be a happy person, even in the midst of trials.
You may be sad but you will be happy because the joy of the Christian is not a superficial joy, it is not the joy of the disco, it is the joy of the martyr who is going to cut off his head but he knows that the moment they cut it off he will enter the presence of his God. It is the presence of the one who knows that this slight momentary tribulation produces in us an ever more excellent and eternal weight of glory. That light tribulations are the way to the heavy joy of the child of God. May you accept that truth this morning, receive it in the name of the Lord now.
Let's stand up for a moment. Welcome the mysterious works of God in your life and promise yourself that you will never throw in the towel, you will never hang up your gloves, you will never turn your back on the devil, you will never regret what was not given, what that you did not receive, what they did not tell you, what they did not love you, the things that did not come to you, stop regretting the past. Look towards the glorious future that God has. See your past in light of God's glorious future. See your present in the light of what God is doing and what he will do. Amen, because God is a faithful God and when he commits himself to one of his children, he never leaves him.
The devil is roaring around you and you know that you have 20 thousand angels that will not allow a single one of those demons to touch you because God is with you, like a powerful giant.
Father, help me to believe what I am saying, Lord. Help each of us to absorb this truth and turn it into blood of our blood, bone of our bone, substance of our being. Help us to believe in these things with all our hearts and to live hopeful lives. May hope be the hallmark of our life because you are real, and you are in the midst, Lord, of our life.
Father, I ask that if someone has come this morning discouraged, hopeless, with some burden in their life, with something that they think has passed too long and they still have not received the answer, that this morning you make hope sprout in them . Take us out of here with new joy in our hearts, with new hope, Father.
Thank you because everything that has happened in my life and in the lives of my brothers has been for the best and until the day you come looking for us, we are safe in your beautiful and powerful hands. We praise you. Thank you for your presence, thank you for your word, thank you because you have taken the edge off death, there is no longer a grave that can hold us in this world, Father.
Thank you for Christ Jesus who paid the price on the cross. We adore you, Lord. Thank you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
