Some time ago the Lord focused Psalm 2 on me. But the psalmist says: "Why do the nations riot and the people think vain things?" On a world scale, the peoples, the people think vain things.

And he describes in more detail, he says: "The kings of the earth will rise up, and princes will consult together" against whom? "against the Lord and against his anointed." "Saying: let's break his bonds and cast off his ropes" in other words: we are going to free ourselves from that hateful yoke, from that authority of God over our lives, from the Word of God, we are going to free ourselves from all that.

Now, what was God's reaction to this rebellious act of humanity? It says: "He who dwells in the heavens will laugh, the Lord will mock them." It is like the Lord contemplating from His Throne this humanity that believes that it can free itself from the authority of God says: Look at these madmen, what do they think? how ridiculous, they never will. Because? because the law of God is inscribed in our very genetic code, the law of God is inscribed in the neurobiology of human beings, right? we can never escape the authority and spiritual laws that God has established.

Man can think that he can free himself, for example, that he can manipulate his sexuality or his neurology, and science has reached very high levels, but you know what? God has written laws in us that can never be broken. A woman can never escape the fact that she is the one giving birth and that there are certain rhythms. A man will never be able to escape from his anatomy nor from the fact that there is testosterone in him that governs certain aspects of his life, that is inscribed. Even in our own spirit the law of God is inscribed there and to rebel against it is ridiculous, and that is why it says: God laughs at them.

We live in a time when humanity thinks that they can free themselves from the laws that God has established because their level of scientific-technological sophistication is so great that they think that they can break the ties that God has established, and God's first reaction is: Wow but how ridiculous, how dare they! he laughs first, and then his second reaction is a bit sinister, he says: "Then he will speak to them in his anger and trouble them with his wrath."

God's second reaction is outrage: How dare you reject me? and the judgment of God is a part. Many people don't want to talk about the God of justice and the God of judgment but God has a sinister aspect too, and when we offend His glory there are consequences.

When nations rebel against the Lordship of God, there are dire negative consequences. The Bible records a time similar to this that the psalmist describes at the very beginning of humanity when Babel, when he says that men reached a point of development, knowledge and wisdom so great that they said: we are going to build a tower well tall as a memorial to our human greatness. And evidently that effort to glorify humanity offended God because you can never glorify man without taking away and stealing glory from God.

We always have to remember that we are mere creatures and that God is our creator. Every human achievement has to be preceded and conditioned by a recognition that Jehovah is the Creator of all the Earth and that we have to give glory to Him, none of us deserves glory. The psalmist says: "Not to us the glory but to You alone."

And what happened when men wanted to build a tower as a memorial to their greatness? The law of God inscribed in us, inscribed in the world, inscribed in the very structures of society begins to react and the rules come, the plagues come, the commotions come, the civil wars come, the emotional and spiritual disease comes, the decay of the structures of society, financial crises, because God has inscribed His law and there are consequences.

The serious consequence of that first attack against the Lordship of God was the confusion of languages and something that we do not understand exactly how it occurred but it disrupted and created confusion in the world. Then the Lord mocks them and says: "But I have set my King on Zion, my holy mountain. She has never hidden her desire to use her influence to advance her gay gospel. And the terrible thing is that when we Christians want to use, or not only Christians but, there are many people who are not necessarily religious but have conservative values of the family and other things, historical traditional values of this nation, when they want to let people feel his voice is immediately intended to gag them, intimidate them.

What happened to this woman when she neutralized those signatures autocratically, unfairly, a group of Pastors helped by a Christian agency sued the city of Houston to show that this had been unfair, illegal. And when they did this, the mayor of Houston then ordered that the Pastors, some Houston Pastors, have to turn in their sermons that they had preached in the last few weeks, imagine that, to scrutinize them and if not prosecute them because they had allegedly violated laws of separation of state and Church, something that was so.

The Lord already warned us a long time ago. What preserves a church is the Word, what preserves a society is the Word of God preached with love but also with clarity.

It is not enough to simply come to Church to jump, to sing, to adore, to cry if you are not obeying the Word of the Lord and living what the Word of God says. Why are so many families turning away from the Gospel after living the Christian life as children? I believe that it is partly because there has not been a spirituality vital and healthy enough that could be transferred, because we always minister from the excess that is in us.

If you only have enough spirit for yourself and your own needs you will not be able to have something to share with others. I invite you brothers: do not miss the opportunity, do not miss the privilege of living the Christian life authentically, genuinely, do not miss that privilege, that great joy, do not waste it. That is where you experience the beauty of the Gospel when truly God can come close to us and bless us, and heal our wounds, and talk to us, and give us instructions for daily life and for our ministries, the problems that we face. I invite you, I invite you to truly be the people of God because it is needed at this time, this city needs communities based on the Word of the Lord, on all the Word, communities I am not only saying truth but also mercy, love , of forgiveness, of confession of sin, of honesty, of forgiving each other, of loving each other and of forgiving the world as well. A broken people, a people who have the wounds of Christ on their own body as Paul said, I also carry the marks of Christ on me. We too have to be bled dry.

Do you know in part why what is happening today is happening and this civil rights thing is being used? because in this nation Christians also enslaved blacks centuries ago and also discriminated. While they went to their churches the Sunday after they forbade them to sit with them on the bus or eat with them in a public place and they hung them with sticks in the southern fields, and afterwards they called themselves Christians.

And today there is a connection because today the issue of civil rights is also being used right now to enslave churches, because the price must be paid, the price is always paid, brother, what man sows will also blind. God does not compromise with anyone, if His Church sins it also has to pay, no.

We have to be people of love, mercy, goodness, but also people of Truth and clarity. We have to absorb the entire Gospel, the entire Gospel, the Old Testament and the New Testament, Christ and Paul, Peter and James, all together because it is the same Holy Spirit. We have to be a people of the Word, we have to study the Word, we have to read the Word, we have to consume it, we have to live it, brothers.

But I assure you that for me the most glorious times of the Church are ahead. I am not afraid of the future, it is more: we are constructing buildings and renovating for the coming revival because I know that large spaces are going to be needed for the crowds to come and receive the Word of God. That's why I tell you: let's get ready, let's invest because revival is coming, the rain is coming, God's visitation is coming.

The churches that remain in the Word of the Lord are going to be blessed, they are going to be in demand. Many wounded pilgrims are going to come to them to receive the Word and healing, and we have to prepare ourselves for what is coming because I know that the Lord has His agenda and that He is preparing something precious, that is why we cannot give up our weapons, we have to prepare ourselves for the visitation of God.

Let's raise our heads. No one is depressed by what is happening. I don't feel depressed at all because of what is happening in this nation, on the contrary I feel expectant: wow Lord, what are you going to do? and I am preparing myself as much as possible both personally and my Church and the spaces of this Congregation, and the doctrine of this Church so that we are prepared to be the people of God in this nation.
