When God is present, but we don't see him

Second Kings in chapter 6, beginning with verse 8, tells us the story of the prophet Elisha, a man evidently greatly used by God. God used Elisha in miracles of resurrection, miracles of knowledge, miracles like taking an ax that had fallen in the water and making it float, water that was bitter and poisoned, purifying it through a symbolic act of throwing salt, miracles of uttering a prophetic word that worked on reality, as when he said, “This time tomorrow, − in the midst of an incredible famine, − this time tomorrow there will be food, at a ridiculously low price,” and there was no way it would be. would give But the word he will utter in faith changed the circumstances and forced that prophecy to be given in some way and it was so in an easy way for God, as things always are.

God used Elisha in many ways. And in this passage we are told that God also used it to warn Israel when there were plots against them and when armed bands were going to leave from Syria and God gave Elisha revelation and that way the king of Israel could take care of himself. and to ambush those armed bands that came as terrorist groups to do specific damage somewhere in the people of Israel. Because? Because there was the prophet of God who received revelation from God and he knew how to move and how to neutralize those works of the enemy.

And it occurs to me that there we have an idea of what many times we need in our lives for God to bring revelation to our lives. Because Syria and these armies are often symbols of enemy powers, demonic powers that want to do harm in our lives. Just as the people of God in Scripture, in the Old Testament, were always at war against these enemy powers that were symbols of demonic persecution, so too in our lives we are continually fighting principalities, against powers in our lives.

It is not that we go around seeing demons even in the soup, as many people do. I have a headache, the devil is attacking me. My stomach hurts, it wasn't that you ate too much and you should take an alka seltzer, it would help, or a diet. But there are times in our life if we are in spiritual warfare and the Bible says be sober and watchful because your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

That was not said by Yiye Ávila, the writer Pedro says it. It is true, we are continually fighting against armed gangs that want to harm our lives and that are organizing terrorist movements to enter our marriage, our children, our finances, our health, our human relationships, our jobs, our housing, our sleep, our emotional state and who want to destabilize our lives and do damage and havoc.

By the way, how many are in a hurry and have to leave immediately? Do you have time to listen to this teaching? Give me a little while to develop it well, without worrying too much, because if the Lord wants to give you something, well, receive it, it's worth it.

The world is full of evil spirits, like germs. To me the demons are like germs. Right now through your nostrils and your mouth millions of germs are coming in and millions of germs are coming out. Did you know that? This air is tainted with germs right now. However, here we are quietly enjoying some time, but the world is impure by nature. However, there are continually within us cells and processes that are battling those germs and you are essentially healthy, you don't have to worry about those germs because your body is going to war against them. There are times when the invasion is very strong, an infection comes, a cold comes, a strong disease comes, the origin of which is often some type of infection and some type of invasion.

And so are the demons, I believe, that no one has ever counted the demonic population in the world, but it is probably millions upon millions. And they are everywhere, maybe there are some here right now smoking a cigarette, sitting in one of these seats. The Lord rebuke him. And why not? if you get close to the throne of God you can be anywhere, brothers. That doesn't keep me up at night. I walk through the streets, I lie down to sleep and I see someone, I turn around and say good night, I'll see you tomorrow. We don't have to be afraid of demons, the world is a fallen world and is populated by spirits.

If we have good spiritual health we can counteract it, but we do have to understand that the enemy is always around, trying to harm your life and it is good and it is necessary that you first stay spiritually healthy. That is why we always have to have our spiritual temperature high, we have to read the word, listen to good praise, keep our mind nourished by the word of the Lord, gather together, have good conversations instead of constantly texting on the phone, that edify us And in that way stay strong to neutralize the enemy's attacks.

However, sometimes attacks will come to our life. God warns me many times when moments of attack come in my life. He generally does it through dreams and I know that at that time I have to put myself into action again and strengthen myself because something is coming, the enemy is plotting something. And many times through dreams God speaks to me and through dreams I even process demonic situations as well. And God frees me from many things.

The fact is that this can happen in our lives, with those armed bands from Syria they came and wanted to do harm and a revelation from God was required to come to an anointed man, and that man, that woman can be you in your life . That you discern what the enemy is trying to do, ask the Lord for wisdom, discernment. Do not simply assume that you are dealing with it is simply a purely psychological, emotional, circumstantial matter, but on many occasions when you must ask the Lord for conviction, clarity and make war, rebuke, fast, direct yourself against the powers that They are trying to do damage to your life and repel and counter that with declarations of grace from the Lord in your life, bind those powers, declare the lordship of Christ over your life, call on the blood of Christ, the power of Christ, the name of Jesus.

We have weapons in our mouths with which we can neutralize the works of the devil. How many believe that? Amen. The power to counteract the initiatives of the enemy is in our mouth, in our spirit, and sometimes God will want to inform us and give us intelligence in the military sense of the word, as he gave Elisha.

And notice how interesting that God did not send rays of fire to destroy the enemy, but rather warned the king where the enemy was going to be so that then he could cover those gaps and make war against those powers. God doesn't do everything for us, you know? Many times God will inform us and then we have to fight the battle. Don't go where the Lord, oh, the Lord is giving me the devil. Free me from him. No. Talk to the enemy directly. Lead with the words and authority that God has given you. Use your mouth, use the authority of the children of God.

The Bible says that we put on the whole armor of God because the enemy wants to do... our fight, it says, is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, powers of the enemy, authorities in heavenly places, rulers of industry of darkness in this world. And that is why we have to use that armor of God, that armor that includes faith, includes the word of God, includes the invocation of the truths of the Gospel, includes keeping our head with the helmet of salvation, our mind covered by the principles of the word of the Lord.

These are the tool that God gives us to counteract. And God says, hey, don't ask me to free you from the devil, fight him directly. I have given you the power, I have given you the authority, I have given you the word, I have given you the resources, I have given you the armor, use it in my name. Like when the little boys come to their father, 'Dad, so-and-so is abusing me at school,' and the father says, “No, take care of him, fight for him,” because otherwise they're going to be beating the little boy all the time. But learn to defend yourself.

God is a very strong God and wants to make warriors out of us. He calls us, use your power, use what I have given you. I am going to warn you, I am going to give you wisdom, I am going to give you intelligence, I am going to give you the resources, but you have to fight.

In spiritual warfare, one of the most important things is that you understand that God is not going to do all the work for you. If you don't take part, they will always be hitting you on the back. And God is going to be there saying, "Well, until you learn." "How long, sir?" "Until you learn, fool, to use what I have given you." He wears the armor of the spirit and that is why there are so many people in the church so beaten by the devil, they are always in the same situation that you met him 10 years, 15 years ago, but they are not doing what they have to do. They're not getting their act together, they're not living a life, filling themselves up.

The Christian life is a life, brothers, for warriors, it is for athletes of the spirit. The Christian life is not a walk through a flowery garden, it is a fight against powers that are going to be against us until the day we die, and it requires that we put on our armor anew every day, that we look for new ones. strength in the Lord, in the things that he has given us, that we clothe ourselves in the power of the Lord and in the power of his strength.

There is a part that we have to do in our life. Tonight I was going to talk to you about the passage where James talks about the word and being doers of the word and not just hearers. It is one of the most important things in the fight against the enemy, is to apply the word to ourselves, let the word destroy us and remake us again, reconfigure us. Submitting ourselves to the word of the Lord, brothers, is not simply a lot of jumping and a lot of show, it is letting the word cut and remake you and submitting to the fight of the word in your life. That will give you authority and that will cover you, it will be a cover over your head. The enemy will not have that much power.

Now, the devil can attack a righteous person, but it becomes much more difficult for him if that righteous person is walking in the justice of the Lord. these are different weapons, different resources that God wants us to use to stay healthy. When the enemy sends his armed bands to Israel, to our land, to our life, we have to be prepared to receive wisdom from the Lord through a dream, through a revelation from God, through a message, through a word from someone with authority, through something that comes at the moment and God tells us, "Look, this is what I want you to do."

As I was here right now, I already had everything prepared but the Lord gives me discernment and I have to believe that what I am receiving at that moment is not a suggestion from my flesh, but that it is... and you saw, I had to go down because I didn't I found the blessed passage. I had to look for the concordance in that Bible, which is better than the one I have up here. It is that I have so much material that I need two Bibles to be able to preach.

You have to discern in the moment and then let… and so God is always trying to inform us. The thing is, God gives Elisha wisdom, informs the king, and then the king of Syria is finally frustrated and says, “What's going on? It seems that these people have an incredible intelligence service. How is it that these people know exactly every time I send an armed gang, where they have to wait for me?

And there is a person there who tells him, “Mr. King, what happens is that in Israel there is a guy named Elisha who is better than the CIA and is better than the FBI. This man continually receives revelation from God and reports to the king.”

Brothers, how good it is when there are churches, when there are congregations, when there are individuals who are filled with the power of God and can receive wisdom from God and share it with others. It is what we have to ask the Lord more and more, that we can move and live in that supernatural power of God to know what God is saying and at what moment and that we can share that revelation with others.

So when the king discovers that Elisha is the source of his problem, he sends an armed gang to imprison Elisha and neutralize him. He says in verse 14:

“…Then the king sent horsemen and chariots and a great army there, who came by night and besieged the city to trap Elisha. And when the servant of the man of God rose early in the morning, he came out, and behold, the army that had the city besieged with horsemen and chariots..."

Sometimes, brothers, our life can be surrounded by people on horseback, carts, great demonic powers that want to harm our life and a conspiracy is established against our well-being, our stability. We can do one of two things in those moments, Elisha's servant is a type of one of the ways that we can react to crises. The type of believer who does not have insight into the spirit world does not have the anointing of God.

Many times we are going through situations in our lives and when problems come, what we do is that we panic, we get depressed, we stop praying, we stop crying out to the Lord, we stop looking for heaven's resources. If you are going through a difficult situation in your life right now, I advise you, do not turn your back on the devil, do not let your guard down, do not stop congregating, do not stop seeking the Lord. On the contrary, it is time for you to put on all your armor and then fight with more, serve more, assist more, give more, glorify more, worship more, congregate more, seek more of the Lord. in your life instead of falling your spirits. That is the time to go to the Lord and cry out.

Bring your complaint to the Lord. Present your need to the Lord. Complain before the Lord. Ask the Lord questions. He is willing to listen to you. He is not frightened by your cry, your crying, your scream, on the contrary, the Lord is pleased that we come before him and bring our tears, our need before him.

So this man when he sees that great army around him he panics and says, “Oh, my Lord, what shall we do?” he is only looking in the physical field, only in the circumstantial field and that is the problem many times, we do not have glasses that we can put on and see in the other dimension what is happening in the spiritual world and then only we see the problem, we see the difficult situation, the obstacle that is happening. And it's how we prayed.

I was preaching this morning at a pastors' meeting and God gave me a word for these servants and servants of the Lord. I would tell them that many times when we look around the world right now, as you prayed Fanny, one sees that the devil has loosed and this nation is ruled by a bunch of fools and crazy people who have no sense of the reason, of what is convenient for the well-being of this nation. Unfortunately, I believe that politicians, beginning with our President, have lost their minds.

That is why the Bible says that God gave them to a failed mind, a failed mind, a failed mind, a mind with a computer that has gone crazy, so that they produce things that are not convenient, it says, that are not convenient. And this country is producing truly crazy laws that militate against the well-being of our children just like you prayed. Schools have become places of danger instead of places of refuge and possibility for our children. And the schools are being governed by crazy laws that militate against the emotional, mental and spiritual health of our children, and have become nests of demons.

Behind all that is precisely that, the demonic, satanic, spiritual movement. I told him, if one were to look… and my preaching was based on Psalm 2 where the psalmist talks about… and one day I am going to bring that message here to the church, maybe very soon. The psalmist talks about why the nations riot and they say we are going to take off the yoke of God, we are going to break his chains, we are going to free ourselves from this sullen old man who wants to spoil our party. And the Bible says that God will laugh at them and then attack them with his anger. Because he has said, my Son I have anointed him and he is the owner of the earth, he is the owner of all nations.

So, I told them that we have to understand that, that sometimes we only look at the circumstances. Right now this swarm of evil, this flood of filth that has invaded our nation, and if we just go by what we see, we're going to get depressed and discouraged and maybe even join with the enemy to that it does not harm us, as is happening with so many churches, which are going after filthy doctrines to see if people come to their church, a crazy doctrine because heresy has also penetrated into the heart of the church.

But I told him that what we have to look at is the other reality, the reality of a God who thousands of years ago wrote that psalm for our benefit, so that we read it and understand that evil can never prevail against the laws that God has written in history and that men can rebel against God's law for a while but sooner or later those sandcastles come collapsing and falling apart because God has said, no one will be able to free themselves from my lordship. The story has to go where I take it and I let men for a while do what they want and think they are freed from me, but I laugh at them and then I rule them with an iron scepter, as it says, and I shatter the nations with the power of my righteousness.

So I told the pastors, we have to be looking at that dimension, not the dimension of what is happening now, because that is going to change at any moment, and it has to change, because God is not going to allow it. The Bible has said that the gates of hell will not prevail against the children of God, against his church. So we have to be looking at the true reality, the intimate reality, the hidden reality of God who is always moving behind the scenes to get his way, despite all the plots and all the madness, all the nonsense of men.

And so it is also in the spiritual world. In this case, Elisha's servant only saw what was around him, the physical circumstance, this number of powerful men and chariots and armies and swords, and he was filled with panic. Because when you only see your problem, your need, your situation and you are not consuming good food so that your eyes can also, and your spirit can instinctively discern the other dimension, that when the water is reaching your neck, something inside you he says, but don't worry, I'm with you. The fire will not burn you, the rivers will not flood you because I am with you, I will bring you forward.

When you are filled with that grace, you can listen to the voice of God, you can listen to the advice of God. I ask you tonight renew your strength. If you are going through a difficult situation tonight, do not listen to the devil's whisper that he is saying, I am in power, I am going to do what I want with you. The devil is defeated in your life. The grace of God is more powerful than all the power of the enemy. No matter what you are going through, arm yourself with strength. Do not look at the reality of the devil, do not look at the storm that rages around you, do not listen to the wind, like Peter, walking on the water, when he stopped looking at Christ and turned his gaze to what was happening around him, he began to sink immediately.

When the disciples saw the storm raging around them and did not look at the Christ sleeping confidently inside his boat, they panicked and doubted the Lord's mercy. the Lord just stood up, looked at the storm and said, peace, calm down, and the storm immediately became like a mirror. Because the Lord was inside the boat and sometimes the Lord lets the winds roar and the boat looks like it is going to sink to test our faith and to teach us, no, I am with you, I will be with you every day until the end of the world. I don't fall asleep or drowse. Those who trust in the Lord will not be disappointed, they will not be ashamed.

God never allows the enemy to have his way in our lives. No matter what you are going through in your life, always tell yourself, there is a solution, there is a way out, there is an answer, there is a victory, there is a provision behind my fight. Believe it in the name of the Lord, declare it with your mouth, confess it, affirm it in your heart, arm yourself with new strength, gird your loins to wage spiritual warfare and to push back those host of evil that want to do harm in your life, and the Lord will give you victory. It doesn't matter what you're going through. Listen to me. No matter what you are going through, with God you are the majority in any situation in your life.

This man could only see, again, it is a symbol of a church, of a Christian who can only see what is happening at the moment. But Elisha tells him, “Don't be afraid,” verse 16, “because there are more who are with us than are with them.” Underline that. The Bible says that he who is in us is more powerful than he who is in the world. More numerous are the angels that are around you than the demons that want to harm your life. Believe it in the name of the Lord. More powerful are the promises of God than any lie of the devil that wants to wrap your life. Believe it in the name of the Lord.

The power of God is always x plus 1, x your need, your problem, your crisis, your situation, your sin, your limitation, the power of God is always greater. Where sin abounds, grace abounds says the word of the Lord. Where there is a big crisis, God's solution is super big. And if the crisis gets bigger, the power of God gets bigger. God has no limits. It all depends on you and your ability to believe.

And Elisha tells him, "Hey, strengthen yourself, those who are with us are bigger and more numerous than those who are with them." And this man will have said, but my lord is crazy, he doesn't see all this army, where are the soldiers of the king of Israel? Where is the great army that is going to get us out of this bind? And then Elisha prayed and said, "I pray, Lord, open his eyes so he can see."

I ask the Lord tonight, if you are going through a difficult situation in your life, I ask the Lord right now to open your eyes, that you go out tonight knowing that you know that God is involved in your business and that if he is allowing the storm to last a little longer than you would like, it is because there is some need, some reason in some situation that he wants you to overcome first and he is going to glorify himself in what you are going through.

But there is another power that is in your favor. And what we need is to see, to ask the Lord to give us x-ray eyes that we can see behind the superficial and external reality and see the reality of God that is in our life. Because, brothers, that is what many times - knows that if you are filled with fear, if your perception of life, of the world, of the situation you are going through is a limited, material, failed perception, the perception that you you have and the confession that you make is what has the power to perpetuate what you are going through.

Many times all that is required is for our understanding to change for our situation to change as well. Notice that, it is your perception that governs the intensity and duration of your problem. That is why a great part of the Christian's struggle is the renewal of the mind, the renewal of the understanding and the change of perspective. As your perspective changes, so does your reality. The perspective itself, the analytical lens through which you look at the reality that you are living, has an active power in itself, it has the power to perpetuate, to increase, to strengthen what you are living.

If your mind changes, your reality also changes. You don't even have to say a word, if your mind changes that change of mind will make it possible for the power of God to run through your life. It is all the mind.

You remember the case of the centurion that he sent to ask the Lord to heal his servant who is very sick and the Lord agreed because this man is an honest and good and noble man, even though he is a Roman centurion. And the Lord says, "Okay, amen, I'm going to go to your house, I'm going to heal your servant," and this man kind of for a moment it's like the Holy Spirit illuminates him and he says, "Lord, wait a minute, did you know? I am a centurion," that is, a captain or a major in the army was the equivalent of a centurion, he ruled 100 men, he was an officer over 100 men, and he says, "Lord, look, I am an officer and I know what which is authority, I send my men to do something and they do it. I give a word, I'm not there forcing and pushing them, I tell him, do this and he goes and does that. And I tell him not to do that, and he doesn't. My word is all that governs. So you have authority, it is not necessary for you to go to my house, Lord."

He said, "No, man, don't bother, just say the word, you are a man of authority, say the word and everything will be resolved." And the Lord was amazed and said, “Wow, I have never seen a faith nor in Israel have I seen a faith like this pagan Roman, soldier.” And he told him, “Amen, look, if your faith allows you to do so, I better avoid the taxi that I have to take and the money that I had to pay to go there.”

And the word says that at that very moment, God knows how many miles away, his servant was instantly healed. If this man had not had a change of perception and understanding, the Lord would have had to go there. The man would have been healed but less economically. But as this man's perspective gave him to believe that the Lord was powerful so that with a word that he sent to do the work, that was enough and the man was instantly healed.

Our perception, our understanding makes possible either a very laborious job and a long and arduous and difficult process, or an economical and easy process. That is why the demons you do not have to be fighting with them sometimes or be warring with them, nor be suffering with them, a demon simply flees when you know that the power of God is in you and that it has no power to stay inside your life Everything is in your understanding.

Why does the Apostle Paul say that I can go to a banquet where all the food has been offered to the devil and I thank the Lord, I bless it, I neutralize any bird that is inside and I eat it with all the pleasure in the world. Paul says, what are demons? It's no big deal. Christ is everything. So I eat in the name of the Lord, sometimes I go to a Thai restaurant over there, to a Chinese restaurant and there's a tremendous Buddha with a big belly in front to receive me, you know what? I say, I rebuke you in the name of Jesus, I go in, I eat my good Chinese food, I go home perfectly happy, and I thank God.

Now if a Buddha, oh, I'm leaving here, where will there be a Chinese restaurant that doesn't have a Buddha. I will never eat Chinese food. If your perception gives you to believe, bless the Lord and participate.

Now Pablo says, look, if you are a finicky person and when you see something, don't eat it, because then you are eating with fear and that is dangerous, because you are afraid of the devil, the devil is going to catch you. The devil thrives on our fear, our ignorance, our lack of divine perspective. When you are filled with the divine perspective, when your mind is renewed, transformed, when you know that the power of God is overwhelmingly greater than the power of the devil, you don't even need to fight the enemy, because you preemptively neutralize it.

I tell him, Lord, increase my faith so that my faith neutralizes all evil and that I don't even have to be battling. To the extent that our faith is partial, to that extent we have to be struggling and we all have partial faith. But when you are filled with the power of God, the perspective of God, the divine understanding, the understanding of the word, you can see into the spiritual world and your perception, your understanding of the secrets of God neutralizes and you are always powerful in your life.

Right now if your faith gives you you can undo that depression, undo that compulsiveness in your mind, right now in the name of Jesus, tell that depression, that anxiety, that misunderstanding, you are leaving, you have no power, you have no reality, my reality is the reality that God has declared over my life. I do not admit any legitimacy to you in my life. Right now in an instant, you can avoid a number of sessions with the psychiatrist, right now in the name of the Lord.

Tell the Lord, Father, I am renewed in you. My mind, my understanding, these thoughts have no reality, I put them aside. When you are with an obsession in your life, do so, simply put it aside in the name of the Lord. Just keep walking in the power of God, that's all. Make some sign in your life.

I have my signals that I do in my mind, my heart when I need to get rid of a thought, a fear, something I don't like, simply in the name of the Lord, that's all. Renew your mind, renew your understanding because that renewal and that full awareness that God is with you, that the power of God is over your life, is all you need right now. That is the way to make war in your mental life.

The enemy wants to fill us with bad thoughts, compulsive, repetitive, obsessive, harmful thoughts and they will come, what you have to do is simply throw them aside, separate them. They are going to come from time to time, that is your biology, that is your body deceiving you, it is your nervous system that does not follow the word of God and until you die you will be fighting with it, but when it comes, put it to work. just one side and move on. They are madness of the mind and body, they have no reality in God.

Do not be afraid. Elisha then says to him, “Lord, open his eyes, open his perspective, change his mind so that he sees.” It says that then Jehovah opened the eyes of the servant and looked, and behold, the mountain was full of horsemen and chariots of fire around Elisha.

Brothers, that reality was there at all times, the only difference was that he did not see it and when the Lord allows his eyes to see what Elisha, a man of faith, of anointing, of power sees, he can also see, “Wow, I'm not alone after all. The situation was not as difficult as I thought, it was not so desperate, the power of God is around me, the grace of the Lord.”

And when that perspective changes then Elisha speaks, "Lord, smite them with blindness." Oh, I ask the Lord, oh, Father, give us that word of authority to undo the powers of the devil, to drive away the works of Satan in our lives. Pronounce the word, declare insistently until those powers are subject to the word and the purpose of the Lord.

The Lord struck them with blindness and then what seemed like a hopeless situation, with no solution, became. Many times God will change you from being a victim to being a hero and to being in control, from being controlled to being in control, from being a victim to being victorious, because at the moment Elisha blindly wounds, his word blindly wounds these men and Elisha He leads them like tame kittens to the very center of City Hall, in the middle, surrounded by moment. This armed band, as blind in their understanding, is meekly led to the very center of Israel and there is the king of Israel waiting with his soldiers and they are captured.

And that is what God does in our life, that is what the Lord can do in your life when your perspective changes, when you can have the authority and perspective of God. The change in the situation is so radical that the king says to Elisha, “what do I do? I kill them, I execute them all?” Elisha says, “No, man, forgive them, send them back, give them food, and humiliate them by sending them back. If you captured them they are already expired, don't kill them. An army does not kill captives."

That is to say, in this case the great authority that he has is so great that he can forgive and give grace and not only kill, what he gives himself is a luxury. Because it is so, when God gives you victory he gives it to you superabundantly in your life. God gives you food for the whole crowd to eat and there are 12 baskets full left over. When God does the work, he makes it complete and overwhelming. Believe that God has something for your life tonight. If God has given me that word for you, receive it in the name of the Lord.

Stand up right now and arm yourself with faith in your life right now, confess, I want to do it too right now. The power of God is in you and it is in me, your situation has a solution, your need has an answer, visualize what you are facing right now, your battle, the army, the armed band that has come against your life and believe the Lord Right now, believe that God has the power to neutralize any evil. Through this word that I have declared, I believe that God can work miracles in the lives of his children, liberations, provisions, healings, in the name of Jesus, Father, use this word as a conduit of your power and we send your grace, Lord, right now to the life of your servant, your sons and your daughters, Lord.

We arm ourselves with new strength, new vision, new perspective, new encouragement, hope, joy, celebration. Oh, Lord, we get rid of that cold and wet mantle that the devil wants to throw on our backs, Lord. We clear the clouds so that the sun of your justice and your good will flood our minds Lord, in the name of Jesus.
