Author
Samuel Acevedo
Summary: The book of Judas is a direct and clear letter that ends with a powerful doxology praising God for keeping us from falling. The author celebrates God for protecting him from unknown things that God did not allow to happen to him. We should trust that God will only allow trials and afflictions for a redemptive purpose and believe that He will keep us from falling. By declaring that our God will keep us from falling, we become indestructible. The end of every person should be a victory end for the glory of God's name.
The book of Judas is a super interesting letter, very straight, very direct in many things. I love the clarity and transparency with which this apostle writes. And this letter reads like this, you know? When I read this letter, I read like an exclamation point. You know the exclamation point, when there is a long stick and a dot. And we are going to read the dot.
It's like it arrives, arrives, arrives, boom, to the point. And the point is that this letter ends with fireworks everywhere, in this doxology. These are, to me, two of perhaps the most precious verses found in the New Testament. Beautiful. Verse 24 and 25. And there is only one Chapter. If you want, chapter 1, there is no Chapter 2. Verse 24 and 25.
What's more, brothers, I recommend if nothing else tonight when you get home, before going to bed, I don't know what your rite is, you take your little bath, maybe you drink your little coffee, your little tea. Do not turn on the small television so that the unction does not go away either. And before going to bed, recite this text and read it to the Lord. Read it to the Lord. Do your thing and tell him: "He who is mighty to be saved without falling." Say “no drop”. And present you without going before his glory with great joy, to the only wise God, our savior, be glory and majesty. Empire and power. Now and for all centuries. Two verses. And one can be preaching these two verses for weeks, but we are going to concentrate on something that the Lord grabbed me, he blessed me so much through that and I have been meditating, it has been such a blessing for me.
It occurs to me that in the first line of this, what is called a doxology. Doxology, which means a praise to the Lord, written, like a poem to God. In this doxology, a song of praise to the Lord, he begins with this statement "He who is mighty to keep us from falling" and I came up with this. Look, the Lord told me Do you know Samuel? The author here is celebrating God in other reasons, for things that have not yet happened to him. Things that haven't happened to you yet. Do you realize? The one who has freed me from falls and trips from which God freed them and only God knows what they are. He loves him for keeping him from unknown things that God did not allow to happen to him.
In other words, he is praising the Lord for a covert protection, a blessing hidden even from him. Things that haven't happened to you yet, that God didn't allow to happen to you. The Lord in his mercy was a shield and kept it. Brethren, tonight we had a very deliberate time. I believe that the manifestation of the Holy Spirit that we receive is the lightness of something like that. Read the Spirit of God. Lighten your heart so that like a heart that has already given its legs to the Lord, you are free to enjoy the full beauty of the Spirit of the Lord. That is why we bring our requests to the Lord. That is why we, that is why he invites us to bring our intentions before the Lord.
But you know, maybe tonight you are very aware of your struggles and your trials and the things that have afflicted you, I suppose. It can be anything from headache size to much more serious things. We bring to the Lord brokennesses that don't go away overnight, chronic brokennesses that take your life. There are all sizes, it afflicts the people of God. And I don't have to remind you, you are very expert in that. But that is only part of his story. That is the part of the story which you can tell. That is the part, if we sat down in Iaho, or in Flower, or in Merengue to have a coffee and I say: "Tell me your story."
Perhaps we can fill the hours when you can tell me about your stumbling blocks, your struggles, your trials, the things you… your burdens. But it is only part of the story. It's half the story. Half of his story. Notice. It's your story, and I tell you tonight that you only know part of it. But one day, when we see God, I loved it. Where are you? Thank you. Thank you. I love that song. I don't know where it came from but you know. By popular claim, bringing it back. Because one day when we see God, he will draw back the veil. He will draw the veil. And it will show us the other part of the story. The word says that on that day, we now see as if it were through a dark mirror, a glass, let's say, cloudy, is what that word means.
But one day, says the word, that we will meet him interestingly. It says with God, we will know him as we have been, as we have been. Acquaintance. In other words, the Lord is going to show you the other half of your journey. Things that are a mystery to you right now. All the things he protected us from without us realizing it. The way he fought for us, protecting us from a vengeful enemy. Brother, I assure you, if the devil had gotten away with his, no matter how arduous his life has been, no matter how agonizing and chronic his trial has been, if the devil got away with his, there will be nothing left of you. If the devil comes out with his, there's nothing left of you. Without that divine stop, without that eternal shield, there would be nothing left. It is his target, his meat is his life right now.
That, for Satan, comes and goes. He is after your soul, after your well-being, he wants to destroy you. But God was there. He was there protecting us, he was there covering us. The word declares that we rest under the wings of the Most High, under his shadow. Unknowingly a thousand fall at our side. Unknown, ten thousand fall to our left. We don't even realize it. Do you realize the pestilence that walks in the dark or the darts that fly by day? You don't realize it. One of these days, the Lord will lift the veil and you will realize how faithful the Lord has been your protector. That compared, brothers, compared to the things that you did experience, you will realize if that was a mere nuisance compared to what would have happened to me if it had not been for the Lord. If it hadn't been for him.
If it hadn't been for his filter, for his shield. The word speaks of walls of fire around us. The word promises that no soul forged against you will prosper. The Lord says so for a reason. And one of these days, the Lord is going to reveal it to you, he will know how it has been known, the way that today, now, God has been your protector and has kept you from falling. Now why does this matter? I give you two reasons, because it's [inaudible] tonight. Apart from a nice meditation that you go home tonight imagining angels around you. With his drawn sword, his roaring teeth, against all those souls and judges who wanted to enter you, look. But the Lord does not allow it. The Lord does not leave him, he loves you too much. It watches over you, it guards you fiercely.
You're gonna know. You're gonna know. You will notice. Why does this matter, my brothers? For two reasons. First. There are things that God has allowed to come into your life. Those trials, those afflictions, those tribulations. If the Lord is our filter, read the book of Job. Why does one or two escape? You know why? You can trust that this God who has kept you from falling, if God allows what he allowed, it is with a redemptive purpose. It will be for the better and not for the worse. There we will meet him. Today you walk by Faith. There we will know the whole story, the reason for that affliction, the reason for that tribulation, the confidence that the Lord has given you, you know? The Lord declares that he, the word promises you that you will not be tempted beyond what you can bear.
I mean, it's a… Look at your afflictions as a compliment from God. Wow, God thinks I can handle this. The Lord believes… because I don't think I can handle this. But God for some reason thinks I have the stuff, I have the wood to deal with this. Well, Lord, for some good it will be because I trust you and you are the one who keeps me from falling. And I know too, do you know, Lord? Your word also promises that everything works for the good for those who love God and are called for his purpose. Some good, some redemptive work, something, some blessing, something in my character will be set in order. Something, somewhere, a facet of God's face I will see through this. I will get out of this process. This is God's car wash, that the Lord is doing an eternal work in me.
It is forming in the man, in the woman that in my heart I know that I am, that he reveals to me that I am. That is the forge, the furnace that separates the gold from the garbage. And what will come out of this will shine. If your God keeps you from falls, and allows X to come into your life, it will be for some blessing. The second reason, my brothers, tonight that I urge you to think about when these things come, declare to the Lord. You have your guarantee that your God will keep you from falling. Brother, when whatever comes, the unexpected, the intolerable, what disappoints you, what reprograms your life, hold on, let those waters pass for a moment. But on his feet he declares "my God will keep me from falling."
In the name of Jesus, no matter what comes, he will not let me fall. He won't let me fall. Come what may, the Lord will sustain me. I can trust that my God will faithfully keep me from every fall. Let's stand up, brothers. Let's go, give the offering before being fired.
Now my brother, I invite you, lower your heads for a moment, we are going to be fired. Brothers, if you, a simple word but quite an important word, and if you pay attention and put it into action, you will be indestructible. Indestructible. Indestructible, my brother. There is no army that Satan or evil can contract. Knows? The gates of hell itself will not [inaudible] against you. Against a soul that knows its God, that knows the work of its God for it.
In the name of Jesus, Father, I declare a blessing on your people. Lord, I declare that their lives are right, that their lives have order, that their trials are for something, Lord, ennoble them, purify them, teacher, make them more like you. Lord, everything that comes from your hand is a blessing. We receive you. Come what may, Father, your people bless you because we follow a God who keeps us from falling. He protects us without stain, without stain, until the day of his glory, and I declare that this will be the end of every man, every woman, every child, every old man, every young person who is here. I declare that their end will be a victory end. I declare that you are his shield, my God, and we can face the day sure that your mercies are new every morning.
And your people may go out of this place to whatever comes in victory for the glory of your name, until we see you in glory and thank you in person, my god. Until that day when the veil will be drawn and we will know your glory in person. Keep us teacher, bless your people, in the name of Jesus.
