Summary: The passage from Second Kings in chapter 6 beginning with verse 24 is a prophetic Word for our times. It is a story of faith and disbelief, where Israel is under siege and experiencing a terrible famine. The King of Israel is impotent and the citizens are disoriented, revealing a moral and spiritual confusion that exists in the nation. The Church of Jesus Christ needs to be a prophetic voice to the authorities of our cities and nations, using the little point of justice that is in their hearts to speak to them about true spirituality. There are many people in the world who love people, love justice, and love God, but they are disoriented and need to hear the true Word of the Lord.
In this passage, we see the story of Elisha and the famine in Samaria. The famine was so severe that people were resorting to cannibalism. However, Elisha prophesied that the famine would end the next day and that food would become cheap and abundant. Many people, including the king's servant, were skeptical of this prophecy, but it came true. The passage shows the power of faith and the ability of God to change situations in an instant, even when they seem impossible. The author also believes that God will bring a sudden and powerful move of the Holy Spirit to transform the world and combat issues like homosexuality and corruption. The author encourages the reader to pray, purify themselves, and prepare for this move.
The speaker believes in a God who can do the impossible and encourages listeners to trust in God's will and purpose. He acknowledges the challenges of holding onto beliefs that go against the norms of society and religion but urges listeners to stand firm and seek God with passion and appetite. The story of the four leprous men who discover the abandoned Syrian camp shows that those who have died to human appetite and rejected by society can be blessed by God. The speaker encourages listeners to spread the good news and maintain faith in God's power to change situations overnight, even when it seems impossible. He believes that God will bring about great changes and a harvest of souls before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
God has the power to do miraculous things, as seen in the story of Elisha and the Syrian army. When God speaks, the physical world aligns with the spiritual world. Unbelief can lead to judgment, as seen in the story of the prince who doubted Elisha's prophetic word. We need to prepare ourselves and our lives as containers for the visitation of the power of God. We declare by faith that the situation is already changing and the Glory of the Lord is moving.
The Lord placed in my heart in a very, very specific way this passage from Second Kings in chapter 6 beginning with verse 24. And I felt from the Lord that I was not only preaching a teaching passage but that it was actually a prophetic Word. for our times.
I have preached on this passage in times before but I feel like there is an urgency in this time to proclaim it and when I did, preparing it for the internet and for the many, many people who see us in different countries and you will also be able to see it there too in Dios Habla Hoy, you go to our page and there is a section specifically that says Dios Habla Hoy, you can actually subscribe if you haven't signed up for this tremendous, tremendous Ministry.
Ah, well I want you to listen to it and in reality I am declaring it to the air and declaring a prophetic Word because we believe that when we declare the Words in the power and authority of the Lord and we declare it as coming directly from God in faith that Word The prophetic power has the power to make changes in the air, to make changes, to effect changes in time and space, in the now and here, and to effect changes in the very levers of society and the very structures of culture and government and all other aspects of our social and political life.
And in that spirit I want to share with you this Word of the Lord. In verse 24 I am not going to read it because it is a very long chapter, this narrative goes from verse 24 of chapter 6 to chapter 7 at the end of chapter 7. But I am going to narrate it and maybe I will take some readings from it as we go forward. So, Father, we ask that Your Grace descend upon us and that Your Spirit be very present in this Word that You asked us to declare, that our spirits be pierced, pierced by that Word, penetrated deeply, Lord, and we believe in faith that You have to use this Word so that Your Will be done Lord and Your movements are unleashed, Your powerful movement in this nation, in this state. Thank you Lord in Jesus Name amen and amen.
This is a story of faith and disbelief. We see both extremes manifested here. Great faith in the Lord to believe God at a time that God is capable of doing extraordinary things and impossible for human understanding and also great disbelief of people who only look at the now, the here, the surrounding reality and are not capable of go back further to the divine vision and to what God declares with His Word. And the story deals with an episode in the life of the prophet Elisha where there is a moment of great crisis in the life of the nation of Israel.
Israel had divided after the death of King Solomon into two kingdoms; the Kingdom of Judah which was also called the Southern Kingdom many times led by pious kings but also sometimes by impious kings and the nation of Israel which was also called the nation of the Northern Kingdom which had almost a series of impious, unbelieving monarchs , sinful, separated from God and characterized by much sin and much distance from the Lord.
The capital of the Kingdom of Israel, the Northern Kingdom and it can be a little confusing because both were originally Israel but later it became the Northern Kingdom and its capital was Samaria and Samaria by its very existence was already a disobedience to the Lord, because the Lord had already declared a long time ago that that city should not be rebuilt, however Samaria was a somewhat ambiguous city about the things of God.
And so we see here a situation where Samaria, the capital of Israel, is besieged by an enemy army, the army of Syria under King Benadad and the invasion of this kingdom. And remember something and that is that God sent His punishment from time to time on Israel and on Judah. And these attacks by enemy powers were many times a way for God to discipline His People and return them to the knowledge of Him; Sometimes God allows things to happen in the nations that are negative, but not because God simply wants to cause damage in people's lives, because He is hurt by the suffering of people, simply because God in His mercy often wants to break people. people of their pride, their arrogance, their self-sufficiency so that in their brokenness and despair they look to Him.
It is like here in the United States, every time there is a great terrorist attack or a great natural cataclysm, the nation always turns again towards God but it lasts very little, they return again towards the same self-sufficiency. And here we have that Israel is right now under the siege of a very powerful nation and they have surrounded Samaria, no one can enter, no one can leave, weeks and weeks have passed and there is a terrible famine within that city.
And it is a hunger that says that the head of a donkey was sold, imagine, the head of a donkey was sold for 80 pieces of silver, an exorbitant amount, and a quarter of pigeon dung for 5 pieces of silver. These people had been reduced to eating unclean things and even paying for them. How awful isn't it? when human beings move away from God it is like we return to being like animals. And God wants to give us abundance, he wants to give us blessing. God does not want our cities right now to be suffering from all the things we see.
God doesn't want young men killing in cities like Roxbury or our girls having children prematurely or our children being disoriented and being thrown into jails and families falling apart like this nation is doing and our youth are not studying and waste the great resources that are right now in the schools, God does not want that but when a city, when a nation abandons its God comes judgment; attacks from nature are coming.
We have seen how tornadoes are hitting many parts of the United States even here in Massachusetts where tornadoes have hardly ever been seen they are being seen here as well. We've seen this terrible terrorist attack here in Boston. It is not that God sends those things, but when God's cover is lifted from a family, from a nation because God is not being sought as God wants, then who has more power and who then has authority and influence? Satan who only knows how to kill, steal and destroy.
So we see here that Samaria is besieged, a terrible famine runs in this city and it gives us here a scene of how terrible that famine was apart from the fact that unclean things were expensive for people to be able to eat something, it tells us here that the King of Israel, Joram was called this King was passing through the street and a woman from the city wall said to him: King save us! and the King declares his impotence, he says to her: woman, where am I going to save you from? If I don't even have enough to save my own life, how am I going to save you?
And then this woman tells her a truly macabre story and tells her that she made a deal with her friend that they were both going to eat their children, one and the other that the first day, the first time they were going to eat the son of one of them and later they were going to eat the child of the other but the second mother later it seems that she regretted it and thought about it and said: well we already ate so I'm not going to give you my son.
Terrible right? It sounds funny but the truth is that it was a truly horrifying situation. What is interesting is that this woman believes that she should appeal to the King so that "justice" be done to her, in quotes, by committing an act of cannibalism and that also indicates, I believe, the state of moral and spiritual confusion in which the people were, that It did not occur to this woman that she appealed to the authority of the nation to allow them to carry out an act of cannibalism against a child and a son, it was like something that should be intervened by justice, that also reveals something else. and it is the degree of moral disorientation that existed in Israel.
As I believe we see in our times also where mothers kill their children in the womb, where maternal affection has sometimes been abandoned; where women and men commit terribly immoral and offensive acts to God and not only commit them but are offended against those who tell them: no, that's not from God, even maybe they will say it but we have reached that point of moral disorientation also because it is what happens when nations turn away from God and above all I believe that also when governmental authorities, spiritual authorities stop seeking the Lord intimately and receive revelation from God and their hearts turn towards other gods.
Then he says: the town is disoriented. And this King, King Joram of Israel, exemplifies a judicial, political and spiritual authority because the kings were also spiritual authorities in Israel, an authority that has lost its orientation and that finds itself as impotent as its citizens too; because when the King is asked for this supposed help he says: hey, where am I going to save you from? says, he answers. From the barn, from the winery? I don't have what to give you, he thought she was going to ask him just for some food.
The authority was as impotent as the citizens and today I believe that the same thing also happens. Our authorities in our cities, our nations do not know what to do and how to deal with the crises that have come to a large extent, I believe, as a consequence of abandoning the Word of the Lord. And this man says, there is an interesting scene there in that passage and it is that when he passed through the wall the people saw the silicon, verse 30 that he was wearing inside his body. The King was covered with silicon, it was a rough material that was used when there was mourning and a person was in mourning, as if crying out to God in some way because silicon was put on as a sign of pain and also as an appeal to God.
And it is interesting that this King, despite the fact that he is a quite impious king, as there is also a note of tenderness and fear of God, but he is completely disoriented and that is what I also see, that many of our government authorities are not people. bad, they are people who have a truly fearful heart towards God but are completely disoriented and believe that they are doing good by legislating laws that are truly harmful and that what they do is take away the mercy and love of God from their nations and from your cities.
So this is the situation and I believe that there is a note of hope in that silicon, in the presence of silicon in the body of this King, despite his impiety. I believe that today the Church of Jesus Christ has to be believing that God has called us in some way to be a prophetic voice to the authorities of our cities and our nations and use that little point of justice that is in the hearts of legislators and the rulers for one day when the Lord visits His Church to speak to those people also about true spirituality.
I can not suppress. This very morning I had an interesting conversation while we waited to march to the podium, to the platform with a person who has played a priestly role, an important role in a denomination of these very secular denominations, very secular, very far from the Word of God; they are far removed actually, a denomination in my apostate opinion. And this person with such a tender heart, such a love of people and a thirst and hunger for justice was talking about how he had left his ministerial job for reasons of disillusionment rather and now finds himself working a secular job.
But the sad thing is that while this person was talking to me and I wow, I was saying to myself: if she knew what I believe she wouldn't be so nice to me because I represent precisely many of the things that her denomination and her beliefs exemplify; I represent that conservative side that doesn't affirm homosexuals even though we love them, the conservative side that believes that the Bible is the Word of God and that we have to take it with us and that the protection for our lives and for our nations is there. in following the commandments of the Lord.
And it made me sad because I couldn't talk to him about these things, but there are so many people like that, brothers in the world who love people, love justice, love God, but they are also totally disoriented and people are needed to announce them, to tell them speak the true Word of the Lord. At that moment I know that telling her that would have been opening a swarm of things, it was not the moment we were getting on; I almost told him: look, I represent what you don't appreciate so much and if you want to have a conversation with me I'm willing to do it at some point.
But there's a lot of that. I am waiting, the Lord I know that he is going to give us the opportunity at some point and God is already doing it, God is doing it and I believe that this time is coming and that is why this passage is so important, because there is many people are disoriented right now and what we see later is required and that is why I say: God takes his time. God has His moments for Him to do what He is going to do in this nation and we are patiently waiting for the Lord's time.
But when this king realizes the terrible situation that these women exemplify, he is filled with anger and indignation, and does he know who this man will be angry with? against Elisha the prophet of God. And it says in verse 31: "And the King said: so do God to me and add to me if the head of Elisha son of Zafat remains on him today" why is the King angry? because the King knows that there is a connection between what is happening in Israel today and that man of God.
He knows that Elisha is a conduit of divine judgment and that Elisha has in some way been instrumental in declaring what is currently happening in that nation. But how interesting that this man instead of repenting what he does is that he conceives in his heart a murderous desire to cut off the head of the prophet of God. And that also happens many times in our times, that many of these secularized people who have turned away from the Lord, instead of repenting when we talk about seeking God and repenting and giving their lives to God and their institutions to the Lord and return to the paths of truth, they become angry with God and then they complain that the Church has no mercy, that the Church is denouncing their sin, and how a merciful God allows these sufferings to occur in the nations.
And this man wants to kill Elisha. And it's interesting I say: wow look at least in this case the authorities knew there was power even though the power they saw manifested was not the power they loved. I say that today we are worse than in this case because today we have a Church that in reality people do not believe that there is power in it to do these things; people just think we're a bunch of self-righteous people who want to shove the stuff of religion down their throats but they don't really recognize that we have power.
And I believe that we also have to ask the Lord: Lord, give us power to Your Church, that one day such power may come in the midst of Your Church that even if it is, people will be afraid of the Church. Do you remember the story of a time when the prophet Samuel came to anoint the one who would be the new King of Israel, David and the elders of the city when Samuel came and entered the city they approached him and said: "Are you coming in peace or do you come in war? do you come to do us harm or do you come to do us good?" they are afraid of this man filled with the Holy Spirit.
I believe that we have to ask the Lord: Lord, fill Your Church with that power, with that prophetic authority that descends on Your Church. The only thing that can change these nations is the manifestation of God's power and we have to keep crying out to the Lord and seeking that power, sanctifying our lives.
So we see here that Elisha is sitting in his house verse 32 and with him it says: "The elders of the city were sitting and the King sent a messenger to him." How nice it is to see the elders of the city come to the house of the prophet of God. That is what is needed, a powerful Church that summons the elders of the cities, who come to the Church to seek advice. I believe that these elders of the city, these civil and religious authorities of the city were there because they were seeking advice and they were seeking the warmth of God with the prophet of God.
And I believe that a time is coming, brothers, in which God is going to give the Church such power and authority that the authorities of cities and nations are going to turn to us to find a solution and to seek advice in times of need. And I believe that that time is drawing near and that is why I am declaring this Word, I believe that I declare it in a prophetic way.
I am not only declaring it but I am prophesying it because I believe that the time is very close in which the judgments of God will manifest themselves in extraordinary ways over the nations and also the power of God over the Church and the prophetic move of God in the Church of Jesus Christ and the authorities are going to come to seek from us healing and wisdom for the crises that are going to come. Because financial crises are going to come, not only like the ones we saw 4 or 5 years ago but worse, even bigger crises are coming.
I very much believe that that passage from Hebrews where it says that: "Behold, God will shake the very foundations of the nations and everything that can be removed will be removed" says the Lord, that time is already close to us. At that time the Church of Jesus Christ is going to have such a great visitation of the power of God that the Church is going to be searched for and we have to prepare ourselves for those times, we have to sanctify our lives; we have to give ourselves more to the Lord, we have to be crying out more for the power of God in our lives, we have to be cleaning ourselves individually, collectively as a Congregation consecrating our lives to the Lord, consecrating our time to the Lord, consecrating our minds and our emotions to the Lord , cleaning ourselves as much as possible so that the oil of the Lord can descend on His People and He can do what He wants to do.
Then we see Elisha and Elisha realizes that this messenger of death is coming around to announce that the King wants to cut off his head and then Elisha moved by the power of the Holy Spirit; Imagine that situation where there are weeks and weeks of terrible hunger, there is nothing, there is nothing left to eat in the whole city and in all the surroundings you cannot go out or come in. And the Spirit of the Lord takes Elisha and Elisha in the power of the Holy Spirit says: "Tomorrow at this time" it is as if he were saying: a pound of beef is going to cost 25 cents and a pound of rice is going to cost 5 cents The pound.
And it had to be something from God because there was no way physically speaking that this could happen, only the Word of God in the heart of the prophet could bring something like that because they didn't have planes that could come from another country and bring food, they couldn't plant or raise animals that did not exist, how was this problem going to be solved?
And here is the essence I believe of this because, the other day before going to the studio there to record this message, this series of meditations I had nothing to preach frankly, I had just come out of some things these days that one comes out of one thing leads to another and I had to go directly there to the studio and I asked the Lord: Father, give me a Word so that I could stand there and preach and it wasn't one or two, it was like six segments that I had to preach.
I put my hands on the Bible when I was in the office and I tell you that a very clear image arose in my heart; I didn't know how to put it together when it came out, but then I formulated and clarified it, and it was this idea that the Lord was going to give an immense harvest at some point, that it wouldn't take long, that God was going to do something.
I have always believed that and there are other prophetic passages that I have always seen that, in this time of God's move in history, I believe, brothers, that the transformation that is going to take place in this nation is not a matter of fighting a lot there in Congress how it has taken so many years and so many months this issue of immigration, for example, or going to protest at the State House and exhausting ourselves there going week after week and these people who don't have to do anything anymore when we're tired wait a little while and after three months they come back again and raise their filth again until we get tired.
I believe brothers that what God is going to do if he is going to do it, it will be something listen to me so that when you see it remember this is going to be something sudden, it is going to be something fast. It is going to be such a powerful move of the Holy Spirit combined with such great pressure on the nations and on the governments that this plague that we are seeing of homosexuality, of corruption, of a Church that every day becomes more apostate, that is going to be something. I'm going to say that it's going to be a change overnight, it's something sudden. It is something very powerful and for that it will require a very great movement of the power of God.
There is a part that we can do: pray, cry out, purify ourselves, prepare ourselves, but there is a part that is in the exclusive hands of God and at the right moment He will release it, He has His time for that and we are waiting for that time of the visitation from God But brother God can change things in an instant.
Today it would seem and again it hurts my soul to speak in this sense of homosexuals; It's not that I'm obsessed, but when I look at what's happening, when I look at the Boy Scouts, how many know what the Boy Scouts are? When we see that the Boy Scouts of this nation have decided to support homosexuality, that happened this week. A society that has prided itself through almost a century of being an organization of Christian origins and of teaching children to be moral and honorable people and not to be carried away by external influences but to be moral leaders and they are doing exactly the opposite currently giving up before the social pressure that exists and then declare themselves in favor of homosexuality.
I think something is wrong and one would think: well this is already uncontainable, we have already lost that fight and if one sees it from a human perspective we have lost the fight of faith and spirit in this nation. Recently, a study by the Fiu Foundation, I believe, stated that the number of citizens in this nation who do not consider themselves Christians, who do not consider themselves religious, of any religion, has increased a lot.
So one would think that it is like we see here in Samaria. There is a situation so difficult, so closed, so penetrating that one wonders where the solution is going to come from? The solution is no longer going to come from human processes, listen to me. But God can change it in an instant, God is going to change it in an instant. When the power of God begins to move, I believe that this plague, this infection that is spreading throughout the world will yield to the Will of the Lord and to the supernatural movement of the Holy Spirit.
Because when Elisha declares that tomorrow this is going to change radically and that tomorrow what seems impossible is going to give him a leader, a prince says that: "The King esteemed him so much that he leaned on his arm" that was a sign of great esteem and great preference when a king chose a person to lean on the arm of a character in a procession, in a walk, that indicated his closeness to the King. This prince was so close to the King that the King leaned on his arm and this prince when he listens, there he is in that meeting, when he hears Elisha's prophecy he practically laughs out loud and says: "Where is he going to come from now? that? If God now made windows in the sky, would this be possible."
See why I say this is a story of great faith and great disbelief? Elisha represents faith, faith that God can move mountains, faith that God can change your situation in an instant. The faith that no matter how difficult your life is, God can change it in a moment.
Brothers, I believe in that God. I believe in a God who knows nothing of the impossible and less than difficult, everything in Him is yes and amen. Our only thing is to determine if we are in the Will of God or not, if we are touching the heart of God, if we are flowing in accordance with His purposes and His move. If we are in the Will of God, God will do what he has to do.
And brothers, that is why I remain in my position of what I believe in the Spirit and I am not going to compromise, I am not going to change my conviction. Because I believe that if you honor God, God honors you. We don't have to be like I was saying recently, changing one thing and the other to see if people come and come to Church and if they think we're nice and good and affirmative and all the things that, we sometimes believe that pleasing the Men, we are going to bring them to God. No.
People are going to come to a Church that is attached to the Lord and that stands firm in what God has declared, no matter how it seems that we are going to be left alone, but if we honor the Lord, He will honor us. Because God can change things. I believe that this is what we have to do, God is testing us. He is telling us: Do you believe enough? while the enemy is tightening the siege more and more and it seems that he is already going to penetrate through the gates of the city, do you still dare to believe me a little and hold on a little longer until I come and break with My Power and do what I want to do?
Because it is not easy, brothers, I tell you, I move in those circles where there are people that I appreciate, that I love, who do not believe as I believe, and there are many distinguished people that one would like their respect for, and one knows that if they know sometimes what one believes, I'm sharing this last night so that you understand the agony when one moves in the secular world out there or in the broader religious world the agony one feels to believe what we believe.
Yesterday we were at a wedding, officiating at that wedding and we were sitting at that table and a beautiful couple, a beautiful young North American couple had a beautiful conversation and I invited them to come to church but in my heart I said: I wonder if they knew the things that one believes here, the things that one practices if they would be willing to come. I invited them and Gloria I hope they come but the truth is that many times that happens.
That person I was talking to this morning told me, she was telling me about a course she took with Erwin Villafañe and Harvey Cocks, a great theologian about the Holy Spirit at Harvard divinity schools who don't believe in electric light despite that they are a school of divinity. And she said: When I heard Doctor Villafañe's teaching about the Holy Spirit, I began to visit Afro-American churches filled with the Spirit and he didn't want to tell me that completely because as a liberal he finally doesn't want to criticize minorities, but what he wanted to tell me it is that when she went to those churches she did not find what she was looking for, of course because she wanted liberal churches like her but there is a price to pay for the power of the Holy Spirit.
People who are empowered by the Holy Spirit are not preaching these secularist humanist doctrines of error, there is a price to be paid for the power of God to move. So these people want the power of God but they also want their liberalism and their humanism and the two things do not go together. So a lot of people, there are a lot of people out there, they want to feel the Holy Spirit, they want this grace that there is from God, but when they come looking and see what is really a God-fearing Church that preaches the Gospel and practices the things that the Holy Spirit say: no, we don't want that.
And one has to say: no, I'm going to entrench myself here, I'm going to stay here, I'm going to put down roots in this and if I perish, I perish, but you know what? that the Lord does the work. If you stand firm God changes your situation whatever your situation is; be your family situation, marriage, a child, finances, health. Mira cry out to the Lord, stand in what God has declared, desperately seek the glory of God and believe that the Lord is capable of doing the impossible and changing your situation overnight.
And that is what God is looking for a people who desperately believe the Lord and pay the price. I invite you brothers, let's not be mediocre Christians, let's not be lukewarm Christians; Let's not be Sunday Christians, excuse me for throwing that bucket of cold water on you there. Come to Church at other times of the week my brothers, seek God, take a discipleship class, come on Wednesday to pray, come to a vigil and stay a while. Get out of the ordinary, get out of the ditch, out of Sunday. Seek God with clamor, with appetite, with passion and let us become people with the desire that the Ark of God come and descend on our homes, our churches.
Because when God is present things change overnight and what seems impossible God makes it possible. The thing to do is make sure that we have that antenna of the Spirit of God. And look: When Elisha gives the Word that tomorrow things are going to change resoundingly, the Spirit of the Lord begins to move instantly and then the camera changes from Elisha's house where the elders are to four leprous men talking among themselves, four men who They have nothing to lose because they are miserable men, rejected by society, people don't want to know about them, they don't want to be near them, filthy people.
And these men as hungry as the rest of the people in the city say: Guess what? We have nothing to lose, we are going to die anyway. If we stay in here we die, why don't we go to where the Syrians are? The worst thing they can do to us is cut off our heads and we die faster but who knows, if they have mercy on us they give us something to eat.
And then they leave the city and go to the Syrian camp, I imagine thinking: They are going to cut off our heads. And what happens there? that when they arrive they find that the Syrian camp is completely abandoned. All the Syrian soldiers were ordered to run because God had sent a noise that seemed like an immense army was coming against them and they thought: This is that the King of Israel has hired a foreign army and they are coming to kill and destroy us and the noise was so great than they thought: This is a terrible, immense thing.
And they left everything. They left horses, they left clothes, they left enough food for an entire army and they ran off leaving all that spoil behind. And when these four men arrive they discover that there is an abundance of everything. What do these four men represent? I think they represent people who have died to all human appetite, rejected people. A Church like this, where the educated and educated people, liberal in power, denigrate many of the things that occur in this place, but we are working on it and I believe that these are the people to whom God is going to give the revelation of the firstfruits of the crops, discovering what God is doing.
Unless you, if you are involved in the world and in your vanity and yours is a career, and make money and a lot of work and buy the house and have the big retirement account when you finish God will pass you by . Now if you are a person who says: you know what? I have nothing to lose, if I die I may die but I am going to serve the Lord, I am going to honor the Lord, I want my life to count for the Lord and for His Kingdom, God is going to honor you and it will put you where you will be able to enjoy that harvest.
And then these four men arrive, they see all this and they say that they immediately filled themselves with food, imagine, they helped themselves with the big spoon and then they took clothes and dresses and hid them. I imagine that these men from now on were rich people because surely they did not tell anyone what they had done that part, they first knew, and you know what? that God blesses not only spiritually but that God also prospers a people who believe in him.
So these men are eating for the moment and I think one still had a chicken thigh in his mouth and said: Wait, this is a day to share good news, we are here eating and drinking and taking everything, if the people out there know that we didn't tell them what's happening, they're really going to cut off our heads, so we're going to break the news to them too, we're going to share the good news about what's happening.
He says that then they said to each other: "We are not doing well today is a day of good news and we are silent and if we wait until dawn our wickedness will catch up with us; let's go, now let's go in and tell the news in the King's house." Brother, we are a people called to spread the good news, we are a people called to share what God has given us, we have an incredible message that no one else has that Christ has broken the back of the devil and his principalities and powers and that in Christ Jesus the man, the woman finds eternal life, salvation, wisdom, restoration, transformation for her needs. We have to share that good news.
So these men return to the city, they tell the King and the city guards what is happening and listen to me that's why I tell you this is a story of great faith and great disbelief because he knows what the King thinks, this man disoriented who does not know what the power of God is when he hears that the entire Syrian army has escaped and fled and that they have left everything there and that there is food and clothing and horses and everything, the King of Israel says: wait, this is a trap they are setting for us.
That is because the Syrian army has hidden somewhere and when we open the doors and get out they will fall on us then and they will destroy us. When there is no faith, brothers, when there is disbelief in man, listen to me; when God wants to bless you and you are so far from experiencing the power of God and God is looking almost in front of you and you don't recognize him. When you are already so trained by the problems of life, the blows and the defeats that there is no longer the capacity in you to believe that God can move powerfully in your favor, never lose faith. Ask the Lord to maintain the ability to believe the Lord for great things.
God can change your situation overnight, believe it. And I believe in the Name of Jesus that God is going to do it in our time and I am going to see it and you are going to see it, great changes in this nation and in the nations of the world, a great harvest of souls is coming, says the Lord . Great transformations before the Second Coming of the Son of God for the last time on Earth there will be a great visitation of the Power of God over the nations and the Church of Jesus Christ will be the instrument that God will use to make that happen. great move of the Holy Spirit.
God is going to use His prophets, His apostles to bring about those changes and God is going to change things overnight even if it seems impossible. And there is going to be an incredulous and apostate Church that is going to deny and say: These crazy evangelicals, these crazy Pentecostals dare to believe that this is so and this is more complex; I read books that say that from so-called religious experts, but I believe that God can and will do it.
And listen to me how easy it was, how easy it was. Who would have thought of it, who would have thought of the things of God. The Bible says that the madness of God is wiser than the wisdom of men. Look how easy the solution was; there was food there on the other side only it was in the hands of the enemy and all that had to be done was simply for the enemy to flee under the power and influence of God for that food to pass into the hands of God's people. Let us ask the Lord to pass the resources of the wicked one day into the hands of the people of God so that the Church does not have to be begging, does not have to be serving herself there as with a dropper.
May God open the windows of heaven and send resources down upon His Church so that His Church can do the assignments, the great things that God wants them to do at this time. God had the solution, only that it could not occur to anyone that it could happen in such an easy way, but what made the difference was the intervention of the power of God, because no one could do what God did to produce an artificial sound in a while where there were no electronic speakers or anything that could reproduce that and God reproduced the sound of an enemy people coming to attack the Syrian army.
And then he says that exactly that day happened, two things happened that day and that's it. Two very interesting things happened: the first was that the food was sold exactly as Elisha said it was going to be sold. It says: "Then the people went out" verse 16 "and plundered the camp of the Syrians and sold a seah of fine flour for a cycle and two seahs of barley for a cycle according to the Word of Jehovah." That was the first.
And you know that I don't think people set the prices, I think there was a group of civil servants, government people who said: well, how much are we going to sell all this food for? well it's okay let's sell flour at such a price and sell barley at such a price. I think those people did not know what Elisha had said but what they determined about the price of these things was exactly what Elisha said would be charged, because when God gives the Word the physical world aligns with the spiritual world. It only takes the Word of God and I believe that we are declaring the Word of the Lord right now.
Not only that, but Elisha when this incredulous man, this prince said: Hey, if God opened the window of heaven it wouldn't even be possible and Elisha said: you know what? you will see it but you will not enjoy it. Another prophetic Word, judgment because where there is unbelief brother if you doubt God when God wants to move be careful, you are saddening the Holy Spirit and there is judgment too. Let us not be found unbelieving when God demands great faith. Lack of faith for a living God is a terrible offense. When God tells you to move you better move.
So what happened? look how the prophetic Word was fulfilled, the judgment of Elisha. When these people, when the people ran out of the city gates to go to where the food and provision was, the King maybe to direct the traffic or to be there in some way honoring this man, he put the dignitary this , he put it at the gate of the city and the people when he ran ran over him and ran over him and killed him, he saw the blessing but he did not enjoy it exactly as Elisha had said. When the Lord speaks things are fulfilled brothers.
When the prophetic Word of God sounds, the world lines up, runs. The atoms run, the spirits run, the human processes run to align themselves with what God has declared and then we see the result of this great prophetic Word. And I believe, brother, that we are in those times, we are going to continue waiting on the Lord, we are going to pay the price. If we have to suffer a little, let's suffer, God is going to do the work, don't worry. I want to prepare and you also want to prepare.
We are going to prepare the containers of the Lord's grace, that building is that. That sanctuary is one of those elements, that building, the other. These are containers for the Glory of God, the English Ministry is for that. The Anglican service that I know some of you have a little doubt about is a container for the Glory of God. The programs that we are preparing, the leaders that we are preparing, the times when we come and pray and cry out, the moments that we are cleansing ourselves and consecrating ourselves to the Lord, consecrating our marriage, our homes, tightening our lives with prayer those are ways that we prepare the place for the visitation of the power of God.
Don't stay behind. We are going to consecrate ourselves and give our lives to the Lord and we are going to believe that a great visitation of the power of God is coming. The situation will change overnight. Say with me: The situation is going to change overnight. God is going to do it in Jesus' Name, we believe it. Moreover, we declare by faith that it is already changing, that the Glory of the Lord is already beginning to move, we declare it so in the name of Jesus.
