Where the Presence of the Lord is, the demons flee

Clearly the Lord tells me: "Speak to them of My Person, lift Me up" speaking of Jesus Christ "lift Me over the city. I want to cleanse the city, I want to extend My arms." The image of Jesus on the mountain praying for Jerusalem comes to mind right now, I imagine that He was looking towards Jerusalem and praying for that city saying: "Jerusalem, you who stone your prophets, how I wanted to cover you as the chicken covers the chicks and you didn't want to." The Lord wants to cover our city with His shadow, He wants to cover it with His Name.

If cities, if nations, if families, if communities, ethnic groups, neighborhoods invite Jesus Christ to take control and say no to Satan and repudiate the works of the devil the Lord is going to come in and do worksa cleaning that no institution, no other power can do. How many believe that? God wants to bless families, God wants to break the bonds of the devil.

Behind all evil, every work of evil, every addiction, every neurosis, there is a demonic power that wants to do harm in the lives of human beings, and it requires the Son of God who the Bible says came into the world to undo and destroy the works of the devil and the nations need, I believe that it is the time in which God wants entire nations, entire nations to convert to Christ. I believe that the times that God has ahead for this humanity before Christ finally comes in all His Glory to put an end to history there will be a visitation from God that will be like a tsunami, it will be a storm that will cover the Earth and for a moment the glory of God will be seen in the nations.

I feel that way and we have to be preparing for it and announcing that Jesus wants to enter our cities and cleanse them. The poisonous spiders that control this city are going to flee when the power of Christ enters and our part is to sow and prepare that stage for the manifestation of the power of God and I believe that according to us we dare to believe and launch ourselves in faith as we are doing and casting the nets in the Name of the Lord we are going to have a truly supernatural, miraculous harvest and fishing, we have to dare and see that image of Christ.

And I believe that this passage here tells us about that precisely, let me read it with you, chapter 13 Luke verse 10 says that the Lord was teaching in a synagogue on the Sabbath day I am going to expose it like this while I go, I am going to use my own sketch of the same passage. It says that the Lord was teaching in a synagogue on the Sabbath. The first thing I see here is that before that great miracle of Jesus Christ that He is going to do with a very special woman who is oppressed by the devil He was teaching.

Notice: there is an order here of manifestations of the nature of Jesus. First there is His teaching ministry and then there is His ministry of miracles and power. I believe that this is the order that must be followed in the churches and in our lives. First is the Word, first is to instruct the people in the Word of God, in the principles of the Kingdom of God, in the behavioral truths, the spiritual truths that allow a platform for God to work in our communities. We have to teach our children to be fearful Christians.

I applaud the effort that is being made with these university students to instruct them in the Word of the Lord. I don't care how the Word arrives, if it comes through groups meeting like this, the important thing is that they receive the Word, if these young people are going to receive the Word sitting there among them communicating with good direction what does it matter if they do it here or there, the important thing is that that Word reaches.

I believe that the Word of God is the answer to all needs. If the Word of God enters, I say that because there are churches and movements that put even the manifestations of gifts before the Word and everything goes into a kind of sensationalism and spectacle where it is believed that supposed supernatural manifestations have to be fabricated to that people come and the Word of the Lord is neglected.

The Word has to be the basis of our lives. I encourage you brothers to know the Word, to study the Word, these discipleship classes that we have, other resources are very important. Instruct your children in the Word, be consumers of the Word of the Lord because in the Word you will find the answer you need for your life. In the Word of God you will find advice and instructions for your marriage, for how to educate your children, how to manage your finances. When the Word of God richly enters the minds and hearts of people, that Word forcefully pushes and removes everything that is contrary to it.

Physics says that two objects cannot occupy the same space simultaneously. When the Word of the Lord enters the heart and mind of a family everything that is demonic, everything that is contrary, everything that is neurotic has to flee and go so that the Word can fit in. The Lord Jesus Christ said you will know the Truth and the Truth will set you free. Many times when the Word enters your life and your family, there will not be a great spectacular liberation, but the liberation will be given simply by the natural force of the Word entering your life.

I believe that there are many ways for a person to be released, it does not have to be a person lying there on the floor spitting drool from their mouths and their eyes rolling in their sockets. Sometimes deliverance comes simply because a person gives their life to the Lord, says no to the evil in them, believes the Word of the Lord, and the devil has to flee.

Look here this woman. This woman is possessed, she is physically ill. If you read the passage and can put it there while I am speaking, the Lord is teaching in this synagogue, instructing with the Word, and there is a woman there who says "with a spirit of infirmity." She is sick but she is not sick simply biologically, the disease that she has bends her completely with her head looking towards the ground hunched over, she is a terribly bent woman. The word used in Greek is suncuopto, which means that it was as if folded in on itself.

I have seen one or two cases of people walking down the street like this totally hunched over and bent at the waist looking down because their spine has been deformed and they cannot get up. And it's not that those people necessarily had a demonic spirit, this particular woman had a spirit of illness but no one noticed it, it just seemed like a disease. Nowadays they would say that she had osteoporosis for example, brittle and hollow bones that have lost their calcium and therefore did not have the strength to support her, that is the biological part but no, behind it was a demonic disease.

And note something interesting that the Lord frees her but He does not attack the devil. This liberation is not given through a rebuke as occurs for example with the demoniac of Gadarene, which is another passage where there is a man possessed by demons in such a way that he is completely crazy, breaks chains, lives in cemeteries. Sometimes the devil can manifest himself in spectacular ways, but sometimes Satan manifests his work in our lives in very unspectacular ways. Through neurosis, through disease, through generational problems, through sensuality, mental ties, deformations of all kinds, a number of ways, but many times behind it is the work of the devil.

For example, Satan wants to keep entire families in chains, and if you study entire families sociologically, you can see for decades and decades and decades, what happens is that these studies are not normally done, you are in your generation but sometimes you don't know, later One does not know what was behind the grandfather's generation, but if there was someone who could do a long-term longitudinal study in several generations, you could see the repetition of the same things. Divorce, disease, cancer, demonization, incest, ignorance, poverty, curses of all kinds, witchcraft, Santeria, demonic spirits that keep entire generations under the power of the devil.

Sociologists say: oh that's due to issues like lack of money, poverty, lack of education but behind that what? behind that there are often demonic powers that are doing their work.

The fact is that the case of this woman was that she did not seem possessed. I was in church, I was in a synagogue, it says that the Lord was teaching one day as if it were a Sunday and that lady was there bent over in an absolutely spectral, horrifying way. He had been in that condition for 18 years. The Lord calls her: "a daughter of Abraham." At the end of this story if you read it in Luke 13 the Lord says: "And this daughter of Abraham who was oppressed by Satan for 18 years."

She was a daughter of God, perhaps a servant of the Lord, yet oppressed by a demonic spirit. Some people are surprised when it is said that a person can be a Christian and be oppressed. I have met them. I have known baptized people, who love the Lord, who tithe and at one point it is revealed that there is a demonic oppression in their lives. I don't have the time right now to teach you theologically why that is possible but it is possible and we have to make sure that in our lives we are fully healed. For me, the best way to be totally healed and to undo the works of the devil and the authority of Satan in our lives in the most organic and natural way possible is by filling ourselves with the Word of the Lord.

May the Word of the Lord flow richly in our homes, taking time to have our devotionals in the morning praying, praising the Lord, gathering together, serving the Lord, knowing the spiritual principles that govern human life. The Word of God is full of laws, regulations, principles, precepts, commandments that are for the life of nations, communities, human beings, families, and if we dedicate ourselves to studying the Word, there will be no place for Satan.

Because what I was telling them is that the Lord does not enter into controversy with the spirit that is afflicting this woman. Note that in the case of the Gadarene demoniac the Lord has a frontal confrontation with the demons, the demonic powers that are in this man and he takes them out and in a spectacular way they leave, they get into a herd of pigs and they throw themselves down the sea, what a more spectacular thing than that. In this case, the Lord simply addresses the woman and says: woman, you are free. The demons are simply irrelevant in this case because where Christ gives a word of deliverance and life the demons have to flee.

Where the Presence of the Lord is, the demons flee. Where is the adoration of God, where there is a home consecrated to the Lord, where there is a father, a mother praying for their children consecrating their house to the Lord living according to biblical principles of the order of the Kingdom of God, where there is a mother laying hands on their children, parents giving a good example to their men of how to live well by studying the Bible to find the principles of the Word, those houses are going to be blessed and the devil is not going to have a place.

The Bible says that: "the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but powerful in God for the destruction of strongholds." The apostle Paul says that: "The Gospel does not consist in words but in the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes." I believe in the power of the Word.

I tell you brothers it is good, all other things are very important. But the most important thing is that the Word of God fills your life, buy a Bible if you don't have it, don't say that: aw I can't read, I don't understand. Begin, ask the Lord to enlighten you. My mother was not a highly educated woman but when the Gospel entered her life she became a consumer of the Word of the Lord and wisdom filled her spirit. And I have known old ladies like this, brother, that I would sit at their feet at any time rather than sit before one of the wise men of this world, because they have God's blessing and anointing on their lives, they have practical wisdom. They have earned their families, they have earned their homes, they have earned their marriages, they have left grandchildren and great-grandchildren converted to the Lord Jesus Christ because the power of God was in them, because the Word of the Lord worked in them.

And I want to see men like this also in this Congregation. Men, do not leave your wife the task of blessing the home with prayer and leadership. God wants you to be a spiritual leader in your family, in your home. Do not hide behind your wife for the blessing of your home, be your head, not by order and decree, but because you have earned that leadership in your life. Be an example, that your children find you when they get up praying and crying out to the Lord and reading the Word and studying the Word. That you be an example for your wife, lead her, it is important: lead but do it according to the leadership of Jesus. Consume the Word.

Let's not put the cart before the horse. The Word is the basis and I always see that the Lord first taught and then ministered. It is interesting because, for example, in the passage where we see the multiplication of the loaves and fish first, it says that the Lord spent the whole day instructing the people. crowd that came looking for him and says that when night came then the disciples said: now send them away so that they can go home and buy food, and the Lord said: no, give them something to eat. And then it was time to do the miraculous part of multiplying the loaves and fish in an extraordinary way and distributing them, and feeding the multitudes in a supernatural way.

First the Word and then the instruction. I see that the great miracles that the Lord did were done almost incidentally. Miracles were a complement to His teaching ministry. The Lord came to instruct humanity with the heart and the revelation of the Father and then to support and support and support that Word that He preached and to show them that He came from God and that this Word came from God He did miracles and also manifesting His mercy, His love and His grace on people who did not have medicare or social security, nor access to a hospital so He healed them.

The demon-possessed, the lunatic, the neurotic, the paralyzed, the blind, the deaf, the Lord healed them as an additional expression of His grace. I believe that this is the order, God wants our Church to always maintain that balance, Word and supernatural ministry but the base always has to be, I always ask the Father that this pulpit be a source of teaching for the people of God. And wherever you go, don't go after miracles, gentlemen, don't go after charismatic and flashy leaders, don't go after the shiny seven hundred dollar suit and the five hundred dollar tie, go after integrity and the Word of the Lord, good instruction, good teaching for you and your children, that is the basis. That contains all the other nutrients.

And then when the Word is there, supernatural power will also come because the Word includes the supernatural power of God, but we always want this to be an educated people. Brothers and sisters you can have a Church in your own home, you can have a pastor in your own home: it is called the Word of the Lord, eat that Word. If the Word of God lives within you, incarnates in you, manifests itself through you, I dare say that you do not need me nor do you need a Pastor. Now it's good, the pastors are good, you have to congregate, the churches are good, they are necessary, but the Church is not a substitute for a life eating directly from the bush, okay? Eat directly from the bush, climb the tree and lower a fruit of the Word of the Lord, consume it directly.

And when you come to Church, come to offer a great symphony of adoration and ministration to the Lord. Each one of you is a musician and every Sunday we get together to play a symphony that we have already reaped in our week of prayer, fasting, reading the Word, crying out, surrendering to the Lord.

Then I see that the Lord was teaching in the synagogue and he says that there in that synagogue there was a bent-over woman, she was sick, she was deformed. That woman has always been for me a symbol of a humanity oppressed by the devil. There is nothing more graphic to me than an image of this poor woman folded in on herself in that terrible way. Can you imagine a person like that walking all the time looking at the ground, an object of shame, ashamed of his condition? She couldn't raise her head and look at the stars, she couldn't perhaps contemplate her grandchildren or hug them or perhaps even see a sunset because she was always looking towards the ground, towards the earth, towards the lower, the underground.

And that's how the devil wants people to be brothers. The devil wants to bend people's gaze. There are many people who are not necessarily physically hunched over but they are spiritually hunched over, they are always looking down, they are looking towards the earth. They cannot look into eternity, they cannot look into the spirit. There are billionaire people, people who teach in big universities, people who have written dozens of books and are stooped. His kingdom is the kingdom of time, space and history. They are materialists, they are humanists, they do not believe in anything except this Earth, this dimension and for me they are the most miserable people on the whole Earth.

Unless a man cannot see into eternity he is a wretch no matter how far he reaches on this tiny little piece here called Earth. And the devil wants the nations, right now this nation is precisely in that position, every day it bends more and more looking more and more downward. This nation that was born with people who always looked up to the sky, they crossed the seas to come here and establish a God fearing nation but year after year, century after century it has been looking down and today we have leaders in the White House and in many other places people are very highly developed but they are endorsing and establishing demonic laws that what they do is they put their nations more and more in the hole and give room for the devil to do what he wants.

And that is why there are cases like the one that occurred here in Roxbury this Friday afternoon when I was driving, they tell me: did you hear around here in Roxbury there in Dougly Station, I don't know how many young people got on a bus and They killed a young girl I think it was? a girl?. That is the society we live in.

Do you know that I was reading an article in Harvard Magazine this week about prisons here in the United States, it's terrible, for example in the African-American community, I don't know what percentage I don't want to exaggerate but it's a terrible percentage of men in the community who so much we love, our African American community that are incarcerated, it's a percentage of tens of percent, it's incredible. It costs this country billions of dollars to imprison so many people. This nation has more people right now waiting for the sentence, there are about 41,000 people waiting for the death penalty in different prisons in the nation, the prisons are not enough. You have to be releasing the prisoners because they are costing this nation so much.

And what this nation does is just imprison, imprison, imprison people. Addicts can't keep up, that's why they are legalizing marijuana, because they have to put so many people in jail that they better legalize it so they don't have to put so many people in jail. In a while it will be proposed that heroin, cocaine and these things be legalized because they say if we legalize them, maybe we will solve the problem, we are not solving it by putting people in jail. It is a diabolical logic but it is a logic. Since they cannot be healed, they change the go post, the definition of the crime.

Of course they need help and that is why we have to offer the only possible help that is Christ Jesus to those people, I don't see any other help. This nation, on the one hand, develops an incredible amount of technological resources and, on the other hand, the blessing itself goes down the hole and that is why it has a deficit of trillions of dollars because just as money is made, so too is water returned to this nation. As great knowledge develops, the devil continues to serve himself with the big spoon in these nations, why? because the nation is hunched over looking down.

As you look down, you develop a tremendous knowledge of what you see, that little hole to which your gaze is circumscribed is seen so much and with such fixation and so carefully that you know it very well. They know anthropology, sociology, economics, technology, science very well, but that is not what heals the heart, the soul of a man or a tied woman. The only thing that heals is the liberation that comes through a touch from the Creator, from the Spirit in their lives, that is what breaks the ties.

I ask you: let's pray so that every day more and more we can minister to people healing, salvation, liberation. That's why we need to give the Lord time like we did this morning. Sister churches are needed that can manifest the power of Christ as He did in this passage and for that space and time are required. People are required to come to Church without a watch, to take off their watch and put it in their bag when they come to Church, to put it aside.

Why brothers? because it is not that we are going to waste time, it is not that we are going to do anything simply to fill space, but I believe that if God is doing something we have to let Him move and we have to give space to the Lord, let's not come to Church rushed. Let's come to Church having said: you know what? The day belongs to the Lord, I am going to dedicate it to the Lord and as long as God moves and legitimate and biblical things are being done, we are going to give the Lord space, why? Because it is at that time that liberations often take place. It is at that time that people have encounters with the Lord. It is at that time when a family can invite Christ to enter and the devil is defeated and has to flee, and the blessing comes to that family, and then others and others and others come, and liberation occurs in an entire community .

But there is a price to pay. We must say to the Lord: Lord, come and enter our city, enter our communities. In this passage the Lord sees this woman and in Him is the ability to intuit that behind the terrible condition of that woman is not simply a bone that is hollow or destroyed, no, there is a demon. Do you know that demons rejoice in only one thing? it is to destroy and cheapen the dignity of God, the stamp of God in human beings. The grace of God has gone from them and therefore their mind is a twisted mind, it is a psychopathic mind, it is a neurotic mind, it is a mind that enjoys doing harm.

When I walk through the streets of Boston and, for example, Olvany Street, you have stopped there many times waiting to get to the Church and you can see people very similar to this woman. I have seen them there in a macabre dance under the effects of heroin and cocaine dancing in a way, I wonder what that person is seeing while doing that? What the hell are they taking his arms and shoulders and celebrating the destruction of that life? What sexual abuse did that person have when he was a little boy or what abuse of his mother did he see from a boyfriend or how many men passed through his house when he was a child? All this as part of a demonic plot to destroy cities, communities and those powers are in the city, those powers are there and spiritual eyes are needed to be able to discern, an anointed Church is needed.

Here are two very interesting characters. Here is Jesus and there is the principal of the synagogue. A synagogue was like a Jewish Church, it was not the main temple but a local Jewish community where the Word and the Old Testament were studied and people were instructed in the things of God. And note that when the Lord is there incarnating the power that we saw for example last Sunday through his healing of the woman with the issue of blood, the Lord incarnates for me in that case the power of God. He is available there, he can see the world, he can x-ray the needs of the people.

And the Lord intuits. He can see almost bodily a demon bending this woman and laughing macabrely at the torture of that life, shamed, destroyed, deformed. That woman could perhaps have been a dancer, or a poet, or a singer, or a scientist, but there she is bent for eighteen years, completely bent. And the spirit of sickness that she has on her keeps her just like there are spirits of sickness in this city that keep people like this.

So Christ embodies vision, embodies power to see behind the surface, embodies God's authority, embodies love and benevolence. But there is a second character there who is the leader of the synagogue who when the Lord heals this woman and tells her: woman, you are free from your scourge instead of rejoicing for the liberation of a life, he becomes indignant and jealous, and it says so cheaply: hey, six days work is allowed but on the Lord's day work is not allowed, healing is not allowed. Why is he saying that? because in his completely twisted and macabre theology he equates the Lord healing her as if the Lord were working in medicine and then he equates the, who made no effort but the healing action of Jesus to work and with his self-righteous and legalistic lenses, and dead spiritually he accuses Jesus of violating the Sabbath, look at that by healing this woman.

And for me this man embodies a precisely impotent Church. Churches filled with the Holy Spirit and great movements of God in history have always had other Christians attack them. Jhonattan Edwards here in Massachusetts in the 18th century when there was the Great Awakening here in this area of Massachusetts in the 1740s and something there were a number of pastors from the city of Boston who when they saw the manifestations of the power of God, people set free, people falling to the ground under the power of the Lord, people beginning to preach the Gospel who did not have a license to preach it, these pastors became jealous of what God was doing in North Hampton, a town here in Massachusetts and accused these people of violating the protocol of the pastors and illegitimately taking their position when it was simply what happens when the Lord distributes His Power they all become ministers.

When the Lord is present, God activates the gifts that are in every Christian. The Bible has been created to make you and me instruments of the Lord's Grace wherever we go. Every Christian is a minister, every Christian is an agent of the Kingdom of God. When we want to turn the pastorate into a guild and a union that if you don't belong to the union you can't do anything, that's from the devil too.

I believe that this man was as crooked as the woman herself that the Lord healed. And it represents a Church where the power of God is not, where the vision is not, where the love of neighbor is not, where everything is theology, religion and system, institution. We do not want to be that type of Church, we want a compassionate, loving Church that sees in a crooked person, a homosexual who arrives with all his deformations and all his bad habits and all his mannerisms, sees a man one day who can be a servant of God. A woman who has had a terrible and sensual past, who can see a housewife, or see a university professor, a counselor, a mother who blesses her children.

A young man with his pants below his buttocks or whatever his name is when you see a man of God well dressed with a blessed family studying and let him feel whatever he is, nothing is going to hit you, Christ is more than powerful for clean, bless it and declare the Grace of the Lord, pray for them. We are going to bless you, we are going to say: come here, there is the Grace of the Lord.

We are going to make a free Church, this man was a prisoner of the system, of cheap theology, of false order and the Lord Jesus Christ said: Saturday is for the works of the Lord to be manifested and He accused him and said: hypocrite. Do you know brother? a Church is needed that speaks the truth, I believe that sometimes the churches sin in being too gentile, today there is an epidemic of false gentileness in the churches that do not want to tell them things, to bread bread and wine wine, no they want to speak the Truth of God, they do not want to preach the Word as it has to be preached, they do not want to call sin sin, sin must be denounced in any form, be it false religiosity or open and obvious sin, but churches are needed that speak to the people the truth of God, that shine a bright light on sin and disease but also with love and mercy, that they see the evil in people but also that they see the power to bring out the good that is in them.

Churches are needed that break out of the box and do God's work in weird, creative, unexpected, unusual ways like the Lord did. It's Saturday, amen! The Bible says that on Saturday is when the work of God is done, well, let's heal this woman. Look and see how He tells him: If your ox falls into a hole, good hypocrite, you are not going to look for three friends even if it is Saturday and you are going to get it out of there, and this daughter of God is not worth more than a ox? She is a daughter of Abraham, right?

Many times we brothers, right? We don't understand what a life is worth. That person there lying on the floor drooling stinking has the soul and the seal of God in his spirit. That person touched by the Lord can be incorporated and can become a person as God designed him to be. Never only see the outside of a person see the potential of God within him, let's minister to people. Do not give up, value each person you see and minister to them and talk to them, and announce them, and bring them to Church, invest time in them, give them effort because there is something good in that person.

This community is full of people that God wants to use and like the Samaritan woman we saw a while back though she had a dubious life but she became an evangelist and brought her entire village to Jesus Christ. I see each person who converts, I see an evangelist because after three or four years in the Gospel we no longer know anyone other than other evangelicals who speak the same language as us, and we kind of don't have the capacity to reach other but new people, all your family, all your friends need Christ and can draw them to the Lord, they are fresh, they are full of potential. And they can be some evangelists who tell you: look what God did for me He can do it for you too and that enthusiasm can be contagious so bring them, bring them, invite them.

And you brothers, as you get to know the Lord, accepting Christ, give your life to the Lord and then look for others, invite others to also become evangelists.

The Lord freed this woman and look how she has blessed the nations, today two thousand years later we are talking about her because she had compassionate eyes to see what she could do. He did not see the devil riding on her, degenerating her; he saw the beauty that was in that woman, a daughter of Abraham. We have to prophesy to people, we have to prophesy to those rebellious and unlovable children, prophesy to them: you are going to be a servant of God, I declare the Grace of God over your life.

Our families, we have to believe that God has a purpose for them. I love this city of Boston and I believe that God has the best for it. That South End so hostile to us and to the values of the Gospel, I declare that Christ loves it and that he has good purposes for that homosexual community and that God is going to bring them. I declare that God is going to give us power to minister to them and to heal them. That we are going to be able to speak to them about love and they are going to see the love of God in us and that God is going to give us the authority to minister to them in the Power of the Holy Spirit.

And I believe that the Lord is going to place all these addicts and all this disoriented youth in our hands so that we can take care of them and minister to them and He is going to tell us: take care of them as the Good Samaritan said about this man who had been beaten by the thieves, said: take care of me until I return, take care of me and when I return I will pay you everything you spent. And likewise the Holy Spirit tells us: Lion of Judah take care of these people, minister to them, preach the Gospel to them, disciple them, strive to bring them, invest time in them. Disciple and heal them, restore them because the devil has beaten them, he has beaten them. Those thieves of souls have found them in the middle of the road and have thrown them to the ground, and have left them bleeding and destroyed, but I want you to heal them and take care of them.

And I'm going to pay you. I am going to bless your family, I am going to bless your Church, I am going to prosper you, I am going to give you the desires of your heart, I am going to give you a name, I am going to make you fathers and mothers of multitudes, My gifts will run through of you and you are going to see My Glory and you are going to be happy but attend to them, love them. Don't steal the wool from the sheep for yourselves, no, take care of the sheep. There are many churches that are preying on the sheep, they are abusing them, they are exploiting them. The Lord wants generous churches, compassionate churches, hospital churches, healing churches, generous churches, churches that sympathize with people, churches and ministers whose only desire is to see people stand up.

Families unified, youth functioning, people healed, restored. God is going to use these churches greatly, churches that love and heal and restore and are shelters for people. Churches of integrity, churches of love, churches of compassion, churches of vision that can see the Grace and potentiality of God in all people, even in all their deformations, I say amen to that vision of God for us.

We are going to stand up and again ask the Lord to make us people with eyes that can X-ray the city and see the evil that is hidden and that we can declare the Word of God with authority. We are going to pay the price, we are going to sanctify ourselves, we are going to be filled with the Grace of the Lord, we are going to cry out more, we are going to fast more, we are going to stay up more awake. When you wake up at night, take three minutes of that sleeplessness and pray to the Lord and cry out to the Lord. Bless the city, bless your family. Use those sleepless hours to do something extraordinary. While you are there in your dream, half a dream invite the Lord into your house, invite the Lord into the city, become an intercessor, an antenna, a lightning rod on which the power and grace of God fall and you you can transfer it to others.

O Lord: do Your work. Father, make us radioactive, make us agents of transformation, Lord, make us people radically committed to Your Kingdom, make us, Lord, an exemplary people. Make us, Lord, a people of pilgrims and foreigners who walk the streets of the city with a single desire in mind, which is to bring souls to the knowledge of Jesus, teach us how to be Your Father Church. Teach us how to honor the Name of Jesus, teach us how to establish the model that You have in Your Word Lord and preserve us from corruption, preserve us from evil, preserve us from the attacks of the devil. Keep us whole and clean, and healthy and with eyes of love to love souls Lord, to know that each soul is something precious, it is a treasure that You place in our hands and that we have to care for and value them.

They are Yours, they are Your sheep, they are Your property, they are Your treasures and we have to take care of them Lord, teach us how to be a hospital for this city, for this community and we will give You all the honor, all the Glory. There are bent women and bent men in Boston's Government House and City Hall, there are bent women and men in the South End Father, there are bent women in Roxbury and there are bent men in Dorchester. There are bent families in Jamaica Plain Father, there are bent families in Washington but You are mighty. Spirit of Christ, Spirit of power, Spirit that no spirit can resist, we invite you to take control of the city and establish Your benevolent Kingdom, Lord, over this nation, over this community.

We deliver you to New England, we say: Thy Will be done as on Earth as it is in heaven. Your Kingdom come, Lord, and establish yourself over this nation, over this community, and all the glory and all the honor will be for You. Thank you, thank you Spirit of God.
