Summary: The speaker talks about the excitement of having new things and how it brings a different sensation to the soul. He encourages people to seek new things in their lives, especially in their relationship with God. He cites verses from Isaiah and Ezekiel that talk about God doing new things in people's lives, such as giving them a new heart and spirit. He also emphasizes the importance of putting on the new man and practicing the fruit of the spirit. The speaker challenges the church to show the world a creative God who does new things in our lives every day.
The word of the Lord promises that those who lay hands on the sick will recover, but sometimes people end up even sicker. Instead, we should focus on experiencing the newness of the Lord every day. Our God is inexhaustible and has prepared new things for us that we cannot even imagine. We must have faith and trust in Him, knowing that He has already made all things new. We should meditate deeply on this truth and pursue these new things with joy and hope. May we leave this place with the conviction that God has already done these new things for us, and may we put on our new selves every day. Amen.
Today is the day, this is the time for new things. How many like new things? When we don't have enough for the new car, we reluctantly buy a used car and look at it everywhere. When we are sure we take the car, but the part that we did not look at was spoiled. New things bring different sensations to the soul. Some of us who came to this country to experience the newness of living in another culture, some of us had to wear used pants that were given to us. How many had to live that? Don't say amen so you won't be ashamed.
How many had to wear that shirt that the neighbor wore for how many years, and he gave it to you because in winter he saw you wearing a short-sleeved shirt, and he told you, you can't walk like this here. But when we were able to have our first new pants, we were able to buy our first shirt, it doesn't matter if it was at Kmart or somewhere like that or at Target, or at some Dollar Store, they also sell clothes there. Salvation Army, also sometimes new things arrive.
What a different feeling to have used something new. We always thank the Lord for the experiences he makes us live. But today I want to take you through this concept of new things. We live in a world where the new has relevance. Nobody sells you a used car on TV, everyone tries to get you to buy a new car. All the things that are new to you make you live better experiences. Somehow we don't complain about having something new, even when we don't know how to use it. Today was the iphone 5 coming out, today? Yesterday, these days came out. It's new, pass it on to me, it'll stay new for the rest of your life. I wouldn't use it at all, I have no idea how to turn it on. It's new.
Interesting that even in the new things of life in Christ, we must open this manual and read this manual every day to know how to use the new things that the Lord gives us. Thank you Lord for the filling of the Holy Spirit and we believe that that was all, and the next day we would be walking in the third heaven.
What's more, as Pablo I think he reached the third heaven, Pablo arrived, up to the fourth, we would encourage ourselves to reach it. We are satisfied with the emotional experience and we do not start reading the instruction manual to take advantage of that new thing.
Do you have your ipad? How many have their ipad? I want to tell you that I congratulate those who have an iPad, if they know how to use it. I see my son every day and hug him and tell him, thank you for teaching me. My son is two years old. It handles my wife's ipad amazingly. Well, they say it's designed for children, so that children understand. That must be why even the Lord said, you have to be like a child for you to have an ipad.
Do not forget today the Lord has new things. Isaiah chapter 42, verse 9, I want you to keep this verse in your mind. Isaiah chapter 43 verse 19 and Isaiah chapter 48 verse 6. Three expressions, three words that appear in each of these verses that make this concept of new things interesting. Isaiah chapter 42, verse 9 says so, in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Here is not the one who wrote the other day on the internet and says, Pastor, why do you say everything in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit? That was a comment on a sermon I gave.
“…Behold, the first things are fulfilled and I am announcing new things before they come to light. I will make them known to you…”
Wow! Verse 19 of chapter 43:
“…I announce, behold, I do a new thing will soon come to light. You will not know it again, I will open paths in the desert, if someone is going through the desert today is the day that the Lord is going to do something new, and rivers in solitude… − Does anyone feel alone? Has anyone felt isolated? Today rivers will rise that will bring accompaniment, that will bring companionship - says verse 20, ... the beasts of the field will honor me, the jackals and the ostrich chicks because I will give water in the desert, rivers in solitude, for my people to drink, my chosen…”
How many are chosen of the Lord? I chose you, says Jeremiah, the prophet says, when the Lord speaks he says, I chose you, I gave you my name, it is you.
So you are not just anything, you are the chosen people of the Lord. In fact, your name is no longer Norma, nor Juanita, nor María, nor Pedro, nor Juan, your name is mine and mine, those are the names. The Lord made you of it. You are his property. He paid the price on Calvary's cross. Do you know what for? To give you new things, so that in the midst of the desert you begin to flourish, so that in the midst of a dry season you begin to bear pleasant fruit, so that in the midst of sadness the joy of the Lord is your strength.
Chapter 48, verse 6:
“…You heard and saw everything and you will not announce it. Now then, I have made you hear new and hidden things that you did not know..."
Are you ready to receive new things? In a time where we need the freshness of the Holy Spirit, we need to understand that every day the Lord brings a new desire to our lives. I do not understand how the Lord's church or some who call themselves the Lord's church, can have concepts of Monday I do not like. How many like Monday? Wow! This is a wonderful church.
If on Monday I wake up in a tremendous mood. At 5 in the morning I have to be up. How many like Friday? And the most spiritual, what day do you like? On Sunday. It is necessary that we experience the constant and daily renewal of the Holy Spirit in our lives. The Lord is causing us each day to seek the new that each day brings to us.
The Gospel says let's not worry, let's not worry about tomorrow, each day brings its own novelty, its own eagerness, even for the children of the Lord, no day is the same, no day is alike. Every day is different and every day is better, because your closeness with the Lord is deeper every day.
We need a church that shows the newness of the Lord daily in our lives. If yesterday you said 10 ugly words, today you should have said 9 out of obligation. And tomorrow there will be 8. If you thought badly yesterday 10 times, today you thought badly 9 times. What's more, you should no longer think badly.
We need a church that rises up to expose the world that our God is not a God of routines, that our Lord is not a God of coincidences, that our Lord is not a God of banal repetitions, but is a God that is creative. I love reading the story of creation, God is a creative God, he made something new every day, every day.
And each day that passed the previous creation was complemented by the new creation of the next day. I don't know if you are interested in the new things of the Lord, or if you are submerged in a religious position. You are here because you do not want to be in a parish. Or he's here because he doesn't want to be in the kingdom hall. He's here because he doesn't want to be in the Mormon church, he likes everything better here. They all sing beautifully, play beautifully. There are television cameras.
In one of those, the cameraman focuses on it and goes out into the world and becomes famous with that image. I don't know what motivated your heart in this, but today it is time for us to understand that the only one who can be noticed through us is the Lord through the Holy Spirit, in our lives, so that every day let us project new things that he has prepared for us.
Today the Lord is telling you, get out of your routine, get out of your boredom, get out of your religiousness, I have new things, I announce them to you now, you are going to see them, you are going to live them, you are going to experience them, today I'm telling you, so you don't say that the one with the cards in the corner did it.
When you read the accounts of these three chapters that I gave you, there is something in common besides this thing that he announces new things to us, he does new things for us, and also motivates us to hear that he has told us that he will do new things. . Do you know what is common in these stories? What he says, so that you don't tell anyone or tell your children that the gods of those others did it, because I don't share my glory with anyone. God does not make riddles, God tells you, I am going to give it to you, believe it and you will see it.
It says that faith comes by hearing, and hearing the word of God. So let's listen to the new things that the Lord has prepared for us. In Ezekiel chapter 36, verses 26 and 27, he says:
“…I will give you – how many have new hearts? No, not much amen. − … I will give you a new heart and I will put a new spirit within you…”
Have you experienced that in your life? Notice, let's go to Second Corinthians 5:17,
“…So if anyone is in Christ – what is he? How many did the Lord make new? How many did the Lord make new creatures? To how many of us have the old things passed away definitively? − …. I will give you a new heart and I will put a new spirit within you and I will remove from your flesh the heart of stone and I will give you a heart of flesh… − verse 27 − … when we begin to live with a new heart and a new spirit and I will put inside you… − what? Are you convinced of that? How many have the spirit of the Lord within their lives? How many have the spirit of the Lord in their lives? −… and I will make you walk in my statutes and keep my precepts and put them into practice…”
So there can no longer be a Christian with symptoms of defeat. There cannot be a Christian with symptoms of being a loser, with symptoms of complaints, there cannot be a child of the Lord who has experienced new things and who has the spirit of the Lord in his life, and experiences things that are not of the Lord. Today's challenge is for each one of us to understand that each day the mercies of the Lord are new in us.
Every day the Lord wants us to understand that his power works for new things in us. Are you struggling with something? Believe, believe, the Lord has told you, I will do new things, I already announced them to you, I let you listen to them, you have already seen the first things that I did, am I not going to be able to do the others?
Everyone who is willing to live experiences of new things must be clothed with the new man. In Ephesians chapter 4, verse 24, that we must be a man clothed anew, created according to God, it says that we must put off, strip off the old man...
How many want to get rid of the old one? Of the old man. Of the old woman. No, that part of the old man talks about universalism so no one gets offended. We must be clothed with the new man, we must be clothed with Christ, removing from us every attitude, every sinful habit that offends the renewing plan, the plan of new life that God has for us. We must put on Christ. Putting on Christ leads me to think about the fruit of the spirit.
In Galatians, chapter 5, verse 22:
“…But the fruit of the spirit is love…”
No one who does not have Christ can love, no one who is not dressed in Christ can love. Says,
“…But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance…”
No one who is not clothed with the new man can practice these things. It is the challenge of a church that every day shows a creator God. It is not only having it as a concept, we have the logos in our head, the word in our head, we must make life, let it be a constant motto, let it flow through us, when you open your mouth let the word of life come out.
The word of the Lord says that they will lay hands on the sick and they will recover. I don't know what happens lately many end up even sicker. What new things we are delivering. I imagine Peter, Peter's shadow could not do anything, but since Peter was clothed with Christ, with glory, when his shadow passed through the streets, he says that there were signs, there were healings, there were miracles.
You know, a church that preaches and preaches new things is talking about a living God, a real God that nothing is impossible for him, that he can do everything, the one who created the heavens and the earth, the one who created nature, I don't care what science says, I don't care if some believe they come from the monkey, I don't. although sometimes I wake up with a face that sometimes I doubt.
Every day we can rejoice in the newness of the Lord. Tomorrow you have a challenge, ask the Lord what is new that he has for you. Tomorrow you have a challenge, even when you leave here, you tell the Lord, what is the new thing you are going to bring for me? Do you have Christ in your life? If you have been born again, if you have given your heart to Jesus then you must experience the newness of the Lord. Every day. This God that we have is inexhaustible.
I always fight with this concept, we were taught the concept of God, in this area of the world, this concept of God has to do with the Greek concept, that almost mystical God, that almost very distant God. We must understand that the God we know, the one we speak of, the one who really makes new things, is the creator, the almighty, the sovereign, the Lord, the one who created even those who thought of the Greek God. The one who wrote of the Greek God, the God of us created.
What new things are you experiencing? At this moment, a biblical text comes to my mind that says, things that the eye has not seen, that neither the ear has heard, nor the heart of man, are those that God has prepared, he has already prepared them for what they love him.
So don't worry about what you haven't seen. After faith, the certainty of what is expected, the conviction of what is not seen. Revelation chapter 21, verse 5:
“… And he who was seated on the throne said, behold, I make all things new and he said to me, write because these words are faithful and true… − verse 6 − ….and he said to me, it is done…”
That's it. do you think so? do you think so? Do you believe it? That's it. Raise your hand and say, Lord, give me what you prepared because it is done. Let's stand up.
Let's give a round of applause to the Lord. Give the Lord a round of applause. And we are going to close our eyes because the Lord has already planted in us the seed of the new. Put him there on the altar, put him there on the throne, tell him, Lord, thank you. Lord God almighty, we honor and declare that you are God, that there is nothing that compares to you. You are the giver of life, the creator of all things, you are the one who makes your mercies new every morning. You are the one who gives us new opportunities.
Lord, here is a town that is thirsty for new things. Here is a people, Lord, who is thirsty for the experience of your spirit every day, Lord. Lord, impart a new anointing every day on each of my brothers. Lord, may you anoint his life to speak, to declare, to unleash, to decree that we live as a church, Lord, who experiences your eagerness every day, Lord, with joy, with joy, with hope.
And that each one of my brothers, Lord, can see even in their deepest desires that the new thing that you have prepared for them you have already done, you have already done, Lord, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
One more minute, I'm going to ask you for one more minute. I understand very clearly that God has spoken directly into our lives today, at least a very direct word has come to me. And Lord, my prayer is that we don't take this word too lightly, Lord, but that we can meditate deeply on what you just told us, Lord.
The implications of this word, you have already done. It is a reality, so enough of living in the perspective of the little, the perspective of the mediocre, open your eyes to what God has already done. Listen well, no more complaints, no more excuses, move to that dimension where everything is already done. Open your ear to what I have already said. Sow in your heart the reality of those things that I have already done for you, for yours. chase them. Pursue them and you will find them, day after day, a new glimpse for you, so that you can enjoy those beautiful, precious, abundant things that I have made for you, the Lord tells you, the Lord tells us.
Thank you Jesus, from the depths of our being, thank you for this word, Lord, a word comes at its time, Lord, seasoned as only you can do it. So, Lord, we are leaving here now, from this place, with the conviction that you have already done these new things, it is a matter of us now to delve into it. Help us to get rid of that old man and day after day put on that new man, that new woman that you already have, that you have already declared for us.
Take us safely, Lord, to our homes, so that even during our rest at night this word can continue to echo in our minds, in our spirit, in our hearts, and that tomorrow, Lord, if you allow it. , when a new day begins, let a new way of seeing life begin, Lord, the life that you have already given us, in the name of Jesus. Amen, Lord, amen, amen, brothers and sisters, may the Lord bless you, the Lord keep you.
