Message to parents June 17, 2012

He led me to share with you, parents, but also with the whole Church, some verses from Psalm 112, which is the Lord's promise to you man, whether you are a father or not, in biological terms, listen to the Lord's promise: "Blessed is the man who fears the Lord and delights greatly in his commandments" is the man of God foundation, of all prosperity, of all beatitude, of all blessing, is to delight ourselves in a strong and active, dynamic Word, to actively delight ourselves , to find its fruit, from the Word, from the principles of the Lord, not only to come to a church to fulfill a formal, social task, but to come hungry, with an appetite for God, with the desire to pour ourselves out before Him and declare our love.

Knowing that as the Psalmist says, a year in Your house is better than a thousand outside of it, to delight ourselves in the house and the affairs of the Lord, the person, the man who feels this way, and God is bringing many young people to the Church, I rejoice in it, not because the other older men are not equally valuable, but how good it is to see young people, they are starting early to search for God, and they are rectifying their lives, they could be out there doing and undoing but God is playing, here in the House of the Lord, that's good, there's no need to be ashamed of that, bring your party friends here, even if you're hungover from last night's partying bring them, bring them to the House of God don't worry, here we fix them, but delight yourself, delight yourself man, because that will allow you to be a good father, a good husband, be a good friend, be a good partner, a good worker, a good worker.

That Word of the Lord will feed you. He says that there is a promise, he says that his children, his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren, he says his descendants will be powerful on Earth, the generation of the upright will be blessed. Man of God, father, if you are looking to the future to have children, the Lord's promise is that your descendants will be known, your descendants will know the Lord, your descendants will be blessed because a man in the past He extended his mantle to that future generation, your mantle of love for God, delight in the Lord, love for his Word, and that will follow your descendants, perhaps you will not be there to see it, but there is a blessing that will follow them, and you will be looking at them from heaven, and perhaps they will not even know why that blessing came but it will be because a father, a progenitor, an ancestor loved God and served him, and the reverberations of that service and that love for the Lord continued until I get to you, and that's a wonderful thing.

There are times when the blessings spread and we believe that it was something good that we did, no, the blessings came from something that someone behind you did, and who put spiritual money in the bank from which you are benefiting. Brother Medrad gave me a gift recently, he did research about my ancestors, and it was fascinating, that information came to me about my great-great-grandfather, in Puerto Rico, I am Dominican but my family on my grandfather's side were from there, and then I Looking at the photo of my ancestors, one was called Trinidad, another is called Evangelista, and I have a feeling that the fact that my family was Protestant decades and decades ago when there were not so many Evangelicals, it is possible that there was a fear of God there in my parents , and it's still blessing me here, and I hope it's blessing you too.

Because that's how it happens brothers, when we live faithfully before the Lord, when a father, a man, blesses his children, with his blessing and his spiritual coverage, a mother, a grandfather, the blessing says that it passes to the third, fourth generation , there is a part that says that God blesses up to a thousand generations, not even the elephant has a memory as great as the Lord, remember that, what you do will continue to bless your generations, that's why man, what you are starting now perhaps to be a father, perhaps you made a mistake and there is a son out there that was not expected, well that's fine, cover him with your paternity, and nourish yourself with the Word of the Lord, eat the Gospel, let it cultivate you and sculpt you into a in a different way, and then transfer that digested blessing to your children, and make sure that they have a father, that he visits them, that he loves them, that he watches over them, that they do not lack the warmth of a father at any time, the warmth of a dad, no matter what the circumstances have been RCumstances of their birth, you are a father and that is irrevocable, God's blessing will be your good work for your children, and soak us in your blessing and your love for God so that it persecutes them.

Because the Bible says instruct the child in his path and when he is old he will not depart from him, the blessing, the mercy of God, the echo of God, they will follow him wherever he goes, and he will reach him one day, believe in that, lives that father, man of God, and may this Church, may the Church of Jesus Christ model the best values of fatherhood and motherhood as well, amen? We have to be fiercely loyal parents to our children, our wives, our homes, our neighborhoods, and we have to mentor others and tutor other children. Maybe you are not a biological father today, but anyway God wants you to be someone's spiritual father, or someone's spiritual mother, God has a purpose for your life, and that is to discover and protect life, one of the things that the Lord He was talking to me this morning, that's it, excuse me, this is part of the sermon now, I'm giving it here, but I'm going to cut it later.

But remember that, one of the things that God reminded me is that the nature of a man is to be merciful, man I believe, a man who has healthy sexuality by nature is protective, God has made us protectors, God has made us defenders of life, a man who is a predator, an abuser and an oppressor, is living a deformed life, because I believe that he has the heart of God and the healthy masculinity of God is a protector of life, covers, defends, protects He stands in front and provides, and blesses, and takes the food out of his mouth to give it to his wife, to his children, that is a man, he is not the one who walks around like a male planting children left and right, that is what the world teaches you, and the truly healthy man is a man who covers, protects, is merciful, is compassionate, blesses the weak, throws himself on top of the helpless to cover him from the projectile that comes, that is a healthy man and that it is the nature of Jesus.

God wants parents like this, who are covers, protectors of someone, of something, the world needs that example, and if we behave like this, God is going to bless us, he is going to prosper us, he is going to strengthen us, he is going to give us a vigorous, total old age, lucid, joyful, because what we sow in youth later blesses it later, and its blessing continues to reverberate through the generations. There is a blessing for us, we fly on the wings of God, and that is why we do not get tired but we renew our life like the eagle, so that is God's promise for you father on this day, for you man of God that you have been called by nature to be a father, God is committed to you and to each of the homes, we do not have to fear, the future is bright for the children of God, that is God's promise to us this day, do not worry Don't worry, God is in control of yours, God is in control of your family, your economy, the generations ahead of you, that is God's business, He is committed to you and He will fulfill it because He is faithful.

If there is a mother or a father keeping awake in prayer for their children, those prayers will cover their lives wherever they go, and they will be blessed and taken to a safe harbor, sooner or later, even if they rebel, the Lord will bring by his mercy, his goodness, believe it, that is the provision of God, says the Lord because I know the thoughts that I have about you, thoughts of good and not of evil, to give you the end that you expect.
