Summary: The passage from Luke 24 tells the story of the resurrection of Jesus and how two women who went to visit his tomb found it empty. Two angels appeared to them and asked, "Why do you look for the living among the dead?" The preacher explains that this moment represents the time of faith, when God does something transcendental but it takes time for it to manifest in the realm of time and space. The preacher gives examples of how God works in mysterious ways and sometimes takes time to answer prayers or fulfill promises, but it's important to believe and cooperate with the Holy Spirit. The passage teaches us to trust in God's promises and believe that things will happen in His time.
God sometimes takes time to fulfill his promises, but we must believe in them and live in the promises of the Lord. We must learn to live in the gap between the promise and its fulfillment. The Bible is full of great statements that God has made, and we must believe in them and celebrate them, even if we don't see them fully fulfilled yet. We must submit ourselves to the work of God every day and allow the Holy Spirit to shape us into the image of Jesus.
The speaker talks about the importance of believing in God's promises and working towards making them a reality in our lives. He emphasizes the need to have faith and not be limited by our current circumstances, but to keep fighting until God's promises become a complete reality in our lives. The speaker also encourages us to live in the light of the resurrection and to believe that we are victorious in Christ. He gives examples of people who have overcome limitations and found greatness in their difficulties. The speaker ends by saying that faith is the certainty of what is expected and the conviction of what is not seen.
The speaker emphasizes the importance of faith and believing in God's promises, even when circumstances may not seem favorable. He encourages his audience to keep working towards their dreams, and to not let the struggles of life bring them down. The speaker also expresses a desire for a revival in the city of Boston and for a great harvest of souls. He ends by asking God to make it rain and bring about a resurrection.
Luke chapter 24, the resurrection, and I'm just going to read a couple of verses. Imagine this pair of women, early morning, Sunday, they are depressed and sad because the Lord has been crucified, he has died
, they are not thinking about his resurrection or anything like that, for these women the The death of Jesus is something resounding, unappealable, definitive, and they are simply going to adore the body of the Lord with some aromatic spices, wrap it in the appropriate linens according to the time, fully prepare his body for its permanent stay in a dark cave where He now himself lies hastily placed there after his crucifixion, in these women there is no kind of hope or even suspicion that something transcendental has happened.
And then, we see these women in verse 2, Luke 24, it says that when they arrived at the tomb they found something extraordinary, and that is that they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, it had been removed, a very heavy stone that was rolled on a rail and closed the entrance to the tomb, that was the way people of some importance were buried at that time. Remember that it was not because Jesus was so important on a social level, because he obviously was on a cosmic level, but because they lent him a tomb, and that was already prophetically predicted, it was a tomb that had never been used. Joseph of Arimathea, a very rich man, lent that tomb for the Lord to be buried there.
And then it says that they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, and entering they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus, why? Because the Lord was no longer there, he had risen. It says that it happened that while they were perplexed, hey, I had a heart attack, I would say, "being perplexed, behold, two men with resplendent garments stood next to them", special effects from heaven, they were two angels who approached to them, and they understood that these were supernatural beings. It says that as they were afraid and lowered their faces to the ground in reverence and fear, these two angelic beings told them, and this is where I want you to meditate, this is the central part of my preaching, these two beings asked them: "Why What are you looking for among the dead who lives? He is not here, but he has risen."
But the question that you ask yourself this morning, and we are going to see how that applies to our lives, why do you look for the living among the dead? This passage introduces us to what I call the middle moment of the resurrection. The resurrection of Jesus was already a fact but it had not yet been felt in all its public manifestations, something had happened that would change history forever, but no one had found out about this fact yet, it was simply an ontological reality, but there was no No observer to see it.
And I want to talk about precisely that. When God does things and we still haven't realized that He has done them, we continue to live as if He hadn't done them. When God does transforming things, sometimes in our life, sometimes in history, and He does them sovereignly, and in the spiritual world that is already an undeniable reality, it is a structure of the universe, but still in the world of time and of space, of circumstances, this has not yet become evident, it has not become totally observable and real, and what happens in that intervening time, in the time when God gives his word and it is transmitted to our world and we? we realize it, what happens in that time? That desert time, that time of definition, that time of limbo in a sense, that time is what I want to talk about. That is what I call the time of faith.
Sometimes God does transcendental things, in the realm of his Spirit, of his Kingdom, of eternity, in heaven, sometimes he does transforming things in the world, he operates on reality, but it takes some time for that fact to happen. of God is transmitted to the realm in which we live, the realm of time and space. For example, when Christ rose again, the Bible says that, on the cross, He defeated principalities and powers, took away the devil's dominion over the universe. Already the yoke of slavery in which humanity lived was removed, and the freedom of the human being, of man, was made possible by the resurrection, the Kingdom of God came and dwelt in our midst, in fact when Christ came to Earth already the world had radically changed, there was hope for humanity, things could happen that couldn't happen any other way.
He says that the Kingdom of God is already within and in our midst, however, we know that history still continues with its madness, children still die prematurely, there are still wars, a gallon of gasoline still costs three eighty-nine, and they say that it will reach four dollars, there are still roadblocks on Route 93, there are still exploitations in the world, there is disease, the devil says in the Bible that he still mysteriously has control of this world, but it also says that God has already declared the Kingdom over the world, says that the Kingdom of heaven is advancing, why? Precisely for this reason, there is a time of disconnection and mismatch, between the act of God, in the spiritual realm, and the full manifestation of the consequences of that gesture of God, that action of God in the realm of time and space.
Let me give you an illustration about that as well, for example, when these same transmissions are given here on video, the camera is picking up that image right now as I speak, but there are a few fractions of a second between when that camera picks up my image , although it is tremendously fast, it transmits it through the cords or through the wifi waves, the internet or whatever, and it reaches another place that takes that image and transmits it again through the air, and a brother , a sister in Mexico, in Austria, in Oman or wherever captures that image, has there been a moment, right? The image has already been produced here, but it takes more time and sometimes it takes more time depending on the capabilities of the mechanism to get them to where someone is going to capture them and receive their impact.
And so it is with spiritual realities. God does things, God declares things in the realm of the Spirit, God declared the Kingdom of Heaven but that Kingdom of Heaven is developing and unfolding little by little in the human realm and one day the Bible says that God will say enough wait, and it will transform everything, new heavens, new earth, a new and different creation, Christ will put an end to the madness of history and He will come and settle, and all history will be transformed instantly. Meanwhile we live in that waiting time, and we are part of a conquering force that is redeeming the world, we are preaching the gospel, we are healing the sick, we are declaring the glory of God, we are living as a redeemed and transformed people, say glory to God even if it is to pamper him a little, the glory of God is manifesting in our midst, and we are part of a phenomenon, of a historical process that God is making real, what He said we are helping and fulfilling the Scripture.
So we see this, right?, that many times God does transcendental things, but He takes time for us to become aware of it, we see for example that when Jesus cursed the barren fig tree, you remember that passage, the fig tree had no fruit, the Lord put his hand in, a lot of leaves but no fruit, and the Lord said fruit should never be born of you again, he ordered it to dry up, the disciples continued on their way, in fact that act took place at Easter time, that the Lord was entering Jerusalem, then He entered Jerusalem, that happened in the morning when He was coming from Bethany to enter Jerusalem, there was a distance, then nothing, the fig tree remained apparently very calm, the disciples said It seems that the Lord woke up in a bad mood today, and he did not like the fact that the fig tree had no fruit, the fig tree continued as leafy and green as when the Lord left it, but what happened hours later when they returned from Jerusalem in the late afternoon? they passed another Once there, the disciples were speechless because this fig tree that the Lord had cursed was now dry, withered, why? Because when the Lord gave the word then a process of death was unleashed, it took time, like when you it plucks a branch or a flower, it takes time but in the long run it dries up because it no longer has life in it.
So many times God gives a word but it takes time for that word to be fulfilled in the realm of reality, that is what I call the territory of faith, and we are always living in one way or another in that territory through Throughout our lives, and we are required to understand this, the Lord had done something very powerful, he had resurrected his Son, that tomb was illuminated with a light more powerful than the light that was in the poplar sixty-odd or seventy years ago years ago it illuminated the desert with the first explosion of the atomic bomb that was known in history, that unleashed says that one of the scientists who had something of a poet remembered an image from one of the sacred texts of Hinduism, where there is an explosion, he says It was like the brilliance of a thousand exploding suns, that was the first explosion, I would say that when a light came on, it illuminated that cave and the dead body of Christ trembled and a power stronger than that of an atomic bomb defeated the enemy. The most powerful ego that humanity has known, which is death, lifted up the body of Jesus, and that stone slipped away and the risen Son of God came back to life.
But there was no one to see it, the miracle happened but there was a time until people realized it. Meanwhile they lived in a time of sadness, mourning, disappointment, feeling that God had not done everything he had promised them. So we see that sometimes God does transcendental things in the spiritual realm and takes time for us to perceive it in time and space. Another example of this, sometimes we pray and ask for something and we ask for it with faith, and God hears the prayer, and from his throne comes the word of consent and affirmation of what we say and the Lord says be it done according to your faith But sometimes it takes time for what God has declared to be fulfilled in our life, and then in that waiting time, we have to believe that we have received God's answer.
It will take some time, for example when you pray for a rebellious son, and you say Father, change it for me, transform him, change his heart, and God hears your prayer and says son, according to your faith be it done, and then I believe that in that moment a series of circumstances will be unleashed in the life of that child, God is going to take him through a process, because it is not a doll, it is a being that has its own conscience and has free will, but God will begin a process that will take that son through different situations, circumstances, like the prodigal son, who went far away, how much time has passed, who knows?, but God was working in his life, and God takes him, sometimes that son God has already given the word and the world says yes Lord, and circumstances begin to adjust, people come into the life of their son, they do not know why, to make what God gave possible, years can go by, you you prayed, receive that word, believe it, until the moment of the r believe it, live it, confess it, keep presenting it before God and believe that one day the Lord will give you the fruit of your prayer.
But time can be taken because resurrections can take time to even manifest into reality, someone may be praying for a spouse, someone may be praying for an immigration situation, someone may be praying for a bitter marriage, or for a disease. chronic, but in all these things believe that God is working in your life, confess it, believe it, celebrate it, live, and cooperate with the move of the Holy Spirit in your life, because God has promised it and God will fulfill it. We must take steps of faith in light of what God has affirmed in our lives, and we must cooperate with the works of the Holy Spirit.
So God sometimes does transcendental things but takes time in the realm of time and space. Sometimes we pray for something and God says yes, but it takes time for that miracle to take place, because God works supernaturally through the natural, we see it repeatedly, it is a secret that this passage teaches us, and there is a third way in I believe that these things, these tensions occur, God clearly says that something is going to happen, and God backs it up with repeated promises, and God puts it in your heart, and then also when God says something you have to believe that it is going to happen. happen.
I also think of Abraham that at 75 years of age God told him you are going to be the father of multitudes, your wife is going to conceive, and at 75 years old Sarah had never even given birth, her womb was barren, and several times Throughout the book of Genesis we see that God tells him you're going to have a son, and Abraham kind of gets upset with God and says Lord I'm not seeing, and all I have is this servant who is probably going to inherit everything I have Because I don't have anyone else to inherit, we know the story that Sarah got impatient and told him look Abraham, here's this servant, go over to her to produce a child because I'm not going to produce one at this age, and Abraham neither slow nor lazy obeyed Sarah and joined his wife Agar, and Ishmael was born, we are still paying 3.89 per gallon for that mistake of blessed Abraham there who did not believe God.
Because when God says something you have to believe it, if God says I am going to do something you have to believe, wait and live within God's promise. If God has said I am going to make your life flourish, I have impregnated you with a promise, believe it, and go to the bank and wait for it, because it will certainly come, even if the vision is late, wait for it because it will be fulfilled says Abacuc chapter 2, we have to believe him to the Lord, we have to believe that He is faithful, and while we wait for the moment of the resurrection and on Sunday when we see the tomb open we have to ask and confess, God said it, He is going to fulfill it, God has told me that the path the just is like the dawn until the day is perfect, I am going to believe that my life is going from better to better, I am not going to lose, I am not going to end up in darkness and death and decrepitude, I I am going to flourish, the Bible says the just will grow like the cedar in Lebanon, it says that even in old age they will be fruitful, they will be vigorous and green to announce that Jehovah my strength is upright and full of justice.
You have to believe that, you have to say no, I am getting better every day, I am stronger every day, I am more beautiful every day, I am more appetizing every day, amen? (laughs), you have to believe God's promises, you have to live. And you know that when you believe God and when you live confessing what God has promised in your life, that is a regenerative force, that even regenerates the tissues of your body. I believe that many people do not experience all the vitality of God's promises because they have not cultivated that capacity to empathize with this, to cook themselves in the juices of God's blessing, hear me how well that turned out for me, someone write it to me before I forget .
You have to simmer each day in the blessings of God. That is why you have to read the Word and meditate on it and confess it, you have to visualize yourself stronger every day, more intelligent, wiser, more powerful, with more authority, because the Lord has promised it within you, you have to confess it , you have to believe it, you have to celebrate it and you have to visualize it, that is the secret of the life of faith. Many people do not receive everything that God has promised them because they do not know how to move in that time of waiting, of the full resurrection, and God has told us, he has given us so many promises, that we cannot be slow. There are many people who live, here I am already damaging my perfect sermon, I am making it a sancocho here, the rice and the meat beans I am mixing everything, but many times people make the gospel something that is life and is power and it is experience, and it is relationship, and it turns it into a dead religion, ritual, formalism, and then like the women who go to the grave on resurrection day, they are looking for the dead, what lives, what is alive, and then unfortunately we live in this death of formalism, a religion that has no power, a religion that does not change, that does not transform, a religion that does not give power, a religion that has no explanations for daily life and we move among the dead when Christ has said I want you to live among life because I have come so that you may have life and life in abundance.
And so many people when they go to Church what they do is swim in their depression, swim in their fallen reality, what they want is music that adorns their depression, and happy, pleasant music bothers them, where the body moves, the hands go up, legs jump, and what they want is something that is more in line with their negative perception of the world, I love classical music and I love sublime things, and I love liturgy too, but for now I also like it like that children that were placed here, what a glory, what a blessing, those tambourines, those garments, remind us that God is doing something in our children, that the Christian life is a life of celebration, of power, of action, and God has called us to a life of vitality, God has called us to a dead religion, God has not called us to the formality of death, and he says why do you seek my life, my power in formality, in the stretched, in the fragile What is brittle when I am a God of power, of transformation? Why are you in your fallen reality if I have called you to a reality of blessing and hope, right?
So when God says something in your life, you have to learn to live in the promises of the Lord, and even if you don't see them fully fulfilled, you have to say no, God told me and I believe it, if God said it, I'm going to bank with that word, I know that I can. Then God told the disciples it is necessary for the Son of Man to be harassed, suffer, be crucified and on the third day rise again. They heard that but oh, those are nice promises, but they didn't know that God was perfectly serious when he said that, that's why these women go to the tomb thinking that what's there is a dead body, and the angels tell them: but mensas, don't you remember that the Lord said that he was going to rise again on the third day? Now count Friday, Saturday and Sunday, put it in your head, Sunday. The Lord is not here, do not look among the dead for the one who lives.
Many times the Lord asks the same thing, why are you looking for your reality among the dead? Why are you there crying as if Christ had not risen? God?. So we have to remember those things, that time of misalignment is the territory of faith, while we wait for everything that God has said, and while it runs through time and space, human relationships and the structures of the world, the radioactive word of God disfiguring and reconfiguring everything, according to the Word that He has given, when God says something the universe salutes and launches to execute the Word, when God says be the light the darkness flees and it is the light, when God says be the light luminaries the luminaries are formed, the Big Bang was not an explosion as the myths say, so complex and that it requires as much faith as the story of Genesis that gave birth to the universe, when God says something I imagine that it will have taken time, it occurred In centuries, millennia or an instant, when I get up there I will see the video and then I will tell you with complete certainty how it happened. Amen, amen, we will see it together, we are going to make an auditorium with a giant screen and we are going to see it all, better than the physicists and cosmologists, and the philosophers of the universe, we are going to see it live and in full color, high definition, ultra high definition, amen?
So we have to learn to live in the gap, we have to learn to live in the time of waiting, we have to learn to live in that time when God gives the Word and the Word enters the world, like the light of the stars, there is stars that are so distant that we can now see them through telescopes but that light has been emitted thousands of years ago, the distance it has to travel is so long that we are now perceiving it but that stopped happening thousands of years ago inclusively, and so on it happens, God, give words and it has to come to reality, we have to learn to live with it. We have to believe that God is working, that what He promised has to be fulfilled.
The Bible is full of great statements that God has made. For example, God has promised that new heavens and a new earth are coming, He even gave us a small glimpse of that reality in the Apocalypse, He says it, I am going to create a new world, the world is going to burn, all the skyscrapers, Michelangelo's paintings, all that is going to melt, and I am going to undo it because the very atoms of that creation are going to be released, and He says there are going to be new heavens and a new earth, we have to believe that, while that is being done a reality we have to be waiting for it, celebrating it, enjoying it, amen?
God has declared that we are new creatures in Christ Jesus, we have to believe that and celebrate it. The Word says in Second Corinthians 5:17, "if anyone is in Christ he is a new creature, old things have passed away and, behold, all things are made new", hallelujah, it is a declaration from God. Now, do you know what happens? Many times you look at yourself and you are the same being that was born in your mother's womb, you look in the mirror and you don't seem like such a new creature after all, you Get up in the morning and look in the mirror and scold the image that comes out of the mirror, dim the lights as much as possible so as not to see yourself completely. You have to wait a while for the creams and toothpaste, and the different perfumes and oils to take effect on us, and we don't seem like such new creatures, there are times when we do things in our lives, we make mistakes, we fail, we say things , we think things that remind us that God's declaration that we are new creatures has not yet become a full and total reality in us, we are in progress towards that new creature, but in the mind of God that is a fact, and to God He sees you brand new, a new baby in Christ Jesus, a renewed mind, a heart, and you have to believe that and you have to tell yourself every day, I am that new creature in Christ Jesus.
The Word says we are also seated together with Christ Jesus in heavenly places. However, you see yourself here at 68 North Hampton Street, you look pretty but not pretty enough to be sitting at the right hand of God the Father, you have to believe that there is a reality in your life that if you had sat in a great prominence and you see the world below, you have control like a plane that travels above the storm, you are safe, here you are fighting but God has said, you are also sitting with me, you have power, you have authority , you can fight against darkness, you can give the word of authority, you can war against Satan and his darkness, you do not have to live under the yoke of the devil because God has given you the Word that can rebel against that authority and you can counteract that with your faith. In what comes the full manifestation of that reality, then we have to meanwhile, while we wait for the fullness of that realization, we have to live as if these things were a reality, we have to live in struggle, in struggle, God has said it, I I believe it, I don't fully see it, but I keep struggling with the devil, with the inertia of the universe so that this becomes a reality in my life, and every day I'm going to do it a little more, and I'm fighting, and I want to cooperate with God , I join Him so that this promise, this declaration of God becomes a reality in my life.
And every day you submit a little bit of yourself to the work of God, every day you give yourself a new bath of the Word of God, every day you allow the Holy Spirit to cut a little thing out of you, so that you are more like Christ, every day you give something to the Lord, every day you die a little more so that the life of Jesus is manifested within you, every day you believe, as the apostle Paul says, that the image of Jesus is taking shape within you, you're looking a little more like Jesus.
Again when God says, oh yes, you are a new creature, then the question is good, what should I do with what God has said?, how should I live with what God has said, what changes should be made In light of that statement, in my way of living, in my behavior, what things can I adjust? There are things that you can do, God does not touch you with a magic wand, and for the moment all the wrinkles are gone, and all the problems, and all the contradictions, He says no, I want you to fight too, look what you I command you to make an effort and be brave. One of the things that complicate my life when I read Scripture, and it doesn't let me be simplistic is precisely that, I see God many times saying something like it is a reality, and then calling us to cooperate with Him In the full execution and realization of that reality, God told Joshua, I have given you all the land that the soles of your feet tread upon, he told the Hebrews, that land is yours before you entered the promised land of Canaan, but there were some tribes that measured 6, 7, 8 soccer players waiting for them to cross the Jordan River to get their hands on them.
This land is ours, we have worked it, you are not going to take us out of here, but God said no, that land is yours, but look at the same moment he also tells them, see that I command you and make an effort, and be brave, do not fear or dismay because I will be with you wherever you go, and he told them, never leave that word out of your mouth, live in my commandments, right? So you see how that tense cooperation between what God says, God is the great legislator, the great declarer of powerful realities, that He gives them and launches them through the universe like an astral light that crosses the spaces, and then He says now take it, take that electricity from my Word, and get involved in making it a reality in your life, day after day, with my light you are going to achieve it, make an effort and be brave, God has declared great things in your life, He has said you are going to be successful in your business, you are going to be a man of God, your children are going to be prosperous, you are going to be a great preacher of my Word, you are going to be a writer of hymns, you are going to play that piano better than Mozart, but then you have to find a book, a teacher to teach you, you have to go to discipleship classes, you have to read the Word every day, you have to pray and fast, because God has said something, you grabbed God's electric cable and now you are going to transmit it to the world of time and space.
God does not do everything, there is a part that you have to do between what God has declared and the full realization of that reality in your life, you have to keep yourself in that fight, in that tension, in that nebulous time, like the disciples, instead of them becoming disheartened, discouraged, denying what God had told them, they should have remembered the Word, the Lord said that He was going to suffer, that He was going to be handed over, He was going to be harassed, He was going to be crucified, but he also said that He was going to rise again on the third day, and while the crucifixion occurred on Friday and resurrection Sunday arrived, they should have been more tense, confessing, declaring, instead of having done what they did, throw arms, confess, lower your arms, return to your stinking fish, return to your daily tasks and say, ah, we believed that He was the one sent by God, like those two men on the way to Emmaus who said ah wow, they were returning to jerusalem as a picture of defeat, they returned from Jerusalem after the events of Good Friday, from the crucifixion, and they returned believing that they were returning to defeat, their presidential candidate had lost the elections.
And they were already returning to their houses as if to say well, the party ended, we became pumpkins, like Cinderella, Cinderella, the bells were already ringing at 12, it rang and we returned to our sad reality as Cinderellas, how beautiful that dream was but it was only a dream, and the risen Christ approaches them and joins them on the way, and well he tells them, what are you talking about? it wasn't, oh, oh yes, that's good, that's good, oh look here's a little restaurant, shall we eat something?, but of course, are you going to pay?
And they sit at the table, cooking in their own juice of disappointment, discouragement, sadness, defeat, and the risen Christ is next to them, they cannot see him because he is playing a joke, He is there mischievously looking at them and has put a veil over their eyes, they do not remember and their worldview of defeat is so strong that they cannot access to their minds the idea that this Jesus, they look at him but do not see him, their brain does not process what they are seeing, disbelief is like this many times, sometimes God is doing great things in your life but you do not see it, because you have glasses of depression, negativity, sadness, they have told you that you are worthless, that life is a problem, that people are bad, that they want your destruction, that God is not as faithful as they say over there, that all those pastors are a bunch of hypocrites, and that what they want is your money, and you go to Church, God speaks to you, but not you receive because you have to change your mind, you have to change your mentality, a One of the things that God wants to do is remove the veil from our eyes, that we not live so much in this religious reality, and that we enter into a life of power, and believe God what He has said.
And at one point the Lord takes the bread in his hands in the little restaurant and breaks it, and then he looks at them, and when He breaks that bread, in that gesture so familiar to them that he celebrated it with them the night of the last dinner, their eyes are opened, and they see Jesus, the resurrected Jesus, and their current reality aligns with God's reality, and then they can see his resurrection. I believe that this is what God wants in our lives, that we learn to live in the Word that God has declared every day, do not look at your reality because if you look at your reality the world will pass you by.
Peter received a Word, the Lord when he was in the boat, said to him well, do you have faith? Well jump, walk on the water, and when Peter was able to keep his faith upright, the storm raged around him and he could walk like if the water were this same solid floor on which I am walking, but what does he say, he says that seeing the storm for a moment, the waves perhaps splashed his face, he heard the roar of the sea and saw the lightning and thunder, the he listened, and said in his mind wait, this is impossible, no man has ever done this, maybe God can do it but not me, I am a sinful man, and when he entertained the doubt and looked at the circumstances the Bible says that it began to sink, because when you look at the reality in what the Word of God, sometimes the Word of God will be battling with reality and it will depend on you, because you will be the arbiter of who will win, or your fallen reality or the Word of God, and your faith is what will make the difference. You have to believe what God has said.
The Word says that man should not live on bread but on every word that comes out of the mouth of God, the people of God are a people of faith, we have to learn to believe that while the resurrection becomes a clear reality in our lives, we have to inhabit the terrain of faith, believe God and live as if what God has promised is going to become a reality in us, that is the great struggle and also the great, I would say, dignity and beauty of life Christian, we are heroes, we are warriors, but how should I live in the light of what God has said while that becomes a reality in my life? If Christ has said you are a new creature, for example, what habits and practices should I get rid of my life? Should I accommodate my depression and say these are my hormones, my chemicals that are inside me, I can't do anything anymore, so I'm doomed for the rest of my life to be a depressed person?, or are you going to Say no, I rebel against that, and you fast and pray, and while I have to fight, look at the fight, if in the meantime you have to take a pill, do it but don't settle, keep fighting until that becomes a reality in your life. life, keep believing that tomorrow will be better, keep visualizing God, normalizing your body, don't settle, don't stop fighting.
That's what I tell people, while you battle against the negativity of the world, God will be with you, God will help you. Don't go to sleep, don't leave this world, just saying well, that's my reality, I'm depressed, I'm anxious, I'm mouthy, I'm stubborn, I'm vindictive, I'm violent, I'm a womanizer, I'm whatever, and that's it that's how God made me, that's how I am and you get used to it, no, God has said you are a new creature, live in the light of what Christ has said and keep fighting until that becomes a complete reality in your life, believe him Mr.
There are people who live as if they were victims, and God says you are not a victim, you are victorious, I can do everything in Christ who strengthens me, before all these things you are more than a victor, victor, live according to that victory, don't live saying no, my mom said this, my dad said, he criticized me, people don't like me, men are a bunch of cynics and liars, no, live your life in resurrection positivity and believe what God has said, and keep battling between the moment of the crucifixion and the moment of the resurrection, that is what God wants you to do in your life. Because remember the origin of all this, these women have not even noticed the disciples that Christ has risen, and so they are still living in their depression, in their defeat, in their impotence and they are wondering oh my gosh, who will take away our hope? stone?. And they don't know that an angel already removed the stone and sat on top of the stone, in a resounding sign of victory, amen?
Many times we ask ourselves like this, well, how am I going to go to the university if I don't even have the floor to fill out the application? I don't even know how to drive, I get nervous when I take the guide, sister God tells you take that guidebook and get in there on 93 when the traffic is full, you can do it, you can learn English, you can go to university, you can get your PhD, why not, you can speak several languages, you can learn to play an instrument, you can be a man, a woman filled with the Holy Spirit, you can have a good marriage, you can be financially prosperous, who said you can't do it? There is still time, the just will flourish like the light of dawn, even in old age it will bear fruit, there are no past times for God, for God everything is yes and amen, you have to say I can do everything in Christ Jesus, it does not matter where you are, in what stage, the resurrection is your inheritance, Christ has risen, the Bible says that the mi The same power that raised Christ from the dead dwells within you through the Holy Spirit, you have to celebrate it every day, you have to live as if the resurrection is a reality.
I have learned one thing, that the human being has been endowed with totally incomprehensible capacities, we can win victory over any tragedy, any limitation, any problem, even God in his absolute knowledge will not want to take the sting off of you, to that in the sting itself you find something more beautiful than the very release of the sting, for Him to glorify Himself. I have seen people who, within their difficulties, have been born with physical conditions that have limited their movement, but even within that, even within those limitations, they have found the power of God and have transformed their reality, they have become exemplary, even within the test, a man a woman, can find a basis for greatness, nothing should limit you brother, even the things that limit you in your physical life, God there can find a crack through which to break gaps and enter the promised land of your greatness and your fulfillment.
But you have to believe the Lord, you have to tell him You have promised me this or that, and I don't see it yet, but I am going to continue confessing it and believing it, and I am going to prepare the house. I end with this idea, many times we do not have time because there are many things but the Bible says in Hebrews that faith is the certainty of what is expected, the conviction of what is not seen, that means that many times you are going to having to believe and be sure of something that you are still waiting for, and you will have to be convinced that you still do not see with your eyes, that is faith my brothers, it is not when everything is going well for you and the world applauds your belief and he supports it with the circumstances, it is when you believe beyond what you are seeing, then you are in the field of faith.
And the Bible gives us an example about this of Noah who says that it had never rained and God says prepare an Ark, and Noah had to spend God knows how many years making an Ark with the technology he had at that time, to make an Ark while people laughed at him every day, why are you building a boat if it has never rained, if you are here, how are you going to transport it to the sea on dry land? But the Bible says that Noah believed God and built, working hope against hope every day, a ship for a phenomenon that he had never seen, but he did it in obedience to the Lord, and I made a parallel between that and the fact that that God has told me that a great revival is coming, not only for this church but for the whole Earth. I don't see it and neither do you, on the contrary, the world gets worse every day, and it deteriorates more and more, more famines, more depression, more injustice, but I believe that something is coming, I bet it in my guts , and I say it, because I also believe that this revival is going to touch us, God has said it, like Noah build me an Ark, build me a temple, build me a sanctuary, and one day the Lord says that this sanctuary will come it is going to be minimal so that I am going to make it happen, but build it in faith.
And we are now working every day, tomorrow the work begins again, tomorrow the men arrive to lay bricks, the electrician to lay all the cables, the plumbers doing their pipes, they are already designing the glass to put everything around, the last staircase from the front, all these things, we are working, on Tuesday I will meet with the architect, and the construction company that works with us and other people, to plan, see where we are, as he said last Tuesday and how I will do it on Next Tuesday, we will continue working. God has said something, I want that temple to be built, I have given the word, I have decreed all the resources, I believe it, but as Easter Sunday arrives you and I continue working, quietly, obediently, in faith , we continue giving, and sometimes we wonder, is the pastor crazy or what? real in cooperation with you, amen?. That is living a life of faith.
Do not let the daily struggles and the inertia of the fallen world stop you in the dreams of greatness that God has placed within you, keep working every day, keep striving in faith, keep believing in what God has said, I have not I have called you to live among the dead, I have called you to live among the living, I have called you to life and life in abundance, I have not called you to live in an impoverished, sad reality, you say yes, Lord, thank you , I forgot, but today again I am going to live in the power of the resurrection, keep believing, hoping, celebrating, declaring, stand up now and say thank you Lord, thank you that I am a resurrected creature, I am renewed as Jesus Christ , I also have my own resurrection that I am waiting for, and even if I do not see the total reality to which You have called me, I will continue battling every day.
And when the little devils are waiting for me out there tomorrow morning, I'm going to be ready with my bat in hand to decapitate everything that Christ has declared, every thought that rises up against Jesus, I'm going to knock it down and submit it to the royalty and power and authority of Jesus Christ. Believe it, believe it, every day you have to put on your armor again, every day you have to live again the reality that God has declared, every day you have to say again the resurrection is coming, the resurrection is already real, but meanwhile I see it, I am going to dwell in faith within it. Thank my Lord. Declare with me that you believe what I am saying, ask the Lord for forgiveness for doubts, ask the Lord for forgiveness for defeatism, ask the Lord for forgiveness for questioning his reality, and embrace the reality that God has made dwell within you, and by faith say thank you Lord, I am a warrior, a powerful man, I am a hero, a knight-errant, I have my spear in my hand, I have the power and authority, I have the cards that You have given me to open doors for me wherever I go, I believe that although I have to fight every day, but through those struggles you are making me stronger, more powerful, bolder, wiser, more humble, more capable of channeling your power than run through me, you are hollowing me to fit more of Your anointing inside me, everything that happens in your life God will use, everything that happens in your life, listen to me, God will use it for a sublime purpose, nothing will happen to destroy you nor to defeat you, nor to shame you, all matter that God put in your hands even if it is ignoble, even if it is negative, even if it does not seem to have anything, even if it is a piece of coal, God will turn it into a precious diamond, if your faith lasts until you see it done, believe it in the name of the Lord .
God wants to raise up a people of faith my brothers, God wants to make the city of Boston explode, God wants to raise the dead, God wants the whole world to realize what is happening here, but it requires a people of faith, it requires a people who believe God and are willing to pay the price, God tells you pay the price, live in my promise, live in the reality that I have declared over your life, be consistent, exercise integrity, believe me, and I will do things what eye has not seen nor ear has heard, because those are the things that I have prepared for you. I believe so and I ask the Lord to give me strength not to doubt or turn away from the hand that has been placed on the plow until I see the promise that You have declared over my life fully fulfilled.
Lord, activate Your Word in the midst of Your people, make it rain Lord, make it rain, make your reality rain, make Your rain fall Lord, make Your rain fall Lord, listen, forgive me but I am a little Pentecostal, have you rained that choir? Why don't we ask the Lord to make it rain a little? Play with me a little because God wants to bring a resurrection to this city. Do you know that there was a time when New England was a region where the name of the Lord was expressed with respect everywhere? There is still a sign of this in the monuments and in the buildings of New England, in the universities that today do not accept the Word of God there are still remnants of a time when this city, and this region loved the name of the Lord, and now the devil has turned it into a desert, the world is turned into a desert, wherever one looks, like the desert of the Negeb, before they were lush places, they were gardens, today you go there and they are bushes, and dry, arid, barren land, expanses without a single plant on them, but God says that He will one day make the desert, and I believe it, and I long for the day when this city explodes with a revival, I long for the day when a group of Latinos like us who sometimes look at us with a little suspicion will be the garden of Boston and of New England, and people come here to light their lamps and take them to Maine, and to Vermont, to New Hampster, and to Connecticut, and to Hampton State, and to all parts of the world, because the Lord has made it rain here in our midst.
I want to ask the Lord Father, Your resurrection is like a rebirth of life, the Resurrection of Christ is like the world waking up from a trance, and comes back to life, your promise becomes real in the spring, it is born again, and the ice recedes, and the warmth of life comes to the world again, for a time I believe that the Lord wants to do something marvelous, God wants to make a great harvest of souls, multitudes, nations, governments at the feet of Christ, I believe it, I do not see it but I believe it, and I am going to continue sowing and declaring until that becomes a reality, glory to the name of the Lord, we are going to declare that. Hallelujah, thank you Lord we believe it. May the Lord rain down his Resurrection.
