Summary: The story of David bringing the Ark of God back to Jerusalem is a reminder that it's not about the box, but the presence of God that dwells within it. David understood the importance of having God's presence near him as a king and longed for it to be close to him in Jerusalem. Obed-Edom welcomed the Ark of God into his home, and the Holy Spirit felt welcome there, blessing all that he owned. The presence of God radiated out from his home, blessing his extended family, finances, and relationships. If enough people welcome the presence of God into their homes, it can radiate out and eventually bring revival to institutions like government and schools. It begins with our personal relationship with God and our reverence for His presence in our lives.

The speaker is encouraging people to invite the presence of God into their homes and lives. He suggests taking the Ark of God (symbolic of God's presence) and placing it in a prominent place in the home to invite the Spirit of God to dwell there. He encourages listeners to name specific people and areas of their lives where they want God's presence to be felt. The speaker prays for God to fill every aspect of their lives and not to leave them.

Here is one of my favorite stories in the whole bible, and maybe it will tell us something even different tonight, Second Samuel chapter 6 verse 1, the story of David bringing the ark of God back to Jerusalem, do you remember of that story?, David reunited all the chosen ones of Israel, and David got up and left Baalah, Judah, with all the people that he had with him to bring the ark of God from there, and I love this brothers , read this as if you were reading a reader of a novel, because there is more. He does not merely say what the Ark of God is, but if you don't know where he is talking about, if you are going to make a mistake, you are going to make a mistake with another Ark of God, he clarifies what is talking.

He says the Ark of God upon which Jehovah of hosts was called, that dwells between the cherubs, and this was literally. The Ark of God was a box so to speak that the Lord specifically dictated all the details of this Ark to Moses, because perched on this Ark would walk the glory of the Lord, what we call the Shekinah glory of the Lord, and next to each Ark there was a golden cherub, and in that space between the wings of the cherubs dwelt the cloud of Jehovah, and you know the story. This is the same instrument, the same Ark that led the people of Israel in the desert, don't you remember?

Let's jump to verse 5, and David and all the house of Jehovah were dancing with all kinds of beech wood instruments, with harps, psalteries, tambourines, flutes and symbols. When they arrived at the threshing floor of Nacon, Usa stretched out his hand to the Ark of God and held it up, good intentions, because the oxen stumbled, and the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Usa, and he wounded him for that temerity, and he fell dead there in the Ark of God, powerful this instrument even after thousands of years, the power of God's anointing did not diminish at all, and the moment this man touched the Ark of God was so great was the anointing of God, responding to this gesture irreverent, you killed him right now.

Well, and David was saddened, because Jehovah had hurt Usa, and it was that place called Peres-Usa, until today, "And David fearing Jehovah on that day said: how will the Ark of Jehovah come to me? David did not want to bring the Ark of Jehovah to the city of David for himself, and David made David take it to the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite, now imagine it for you. Someone knocks on the door of Obed-Edom, God only knows what he will be doing At that moment, washing the dishes, he opens the door, there is King David, behind him a whole parade of priests and Levites, etc., a cart on which was the Ark of the Lord, and behind that cart there was another cart maybe, and maybe what was left of Usa's body was behind a sheet. problem, our intention was to take the Ark to Jerusalem, and you just killed our friend, will you do us a favor? that one with the Ark for a while, maybe have it in his living room, until we can decide what to do with it, what's up. You might have it on your living room for a while.

And Obed-Edom granted this and opened his home to the Ark of God, and the word says: "And the Ark of the Lord was in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite three months, and the Lord blessed Obed-Edom and all his house. King David was told, saying, The house of Obed-Edom was blessed, and all that it has because of the Ark of God.So David went and brought the Ark of God with joy to the house of Obed-Edom to the city of David." First my brothers, I insist, take the glory of God to your home. Firstly, what does the Lord tell us about this word? David understood that he needed God's presence near him as a king. His longing was to be close to the presence of God, what is happening here?

David in the previous chapters, has just received the crown as King of Israel and Judah, after 32 years of waiting, many times sleeping in the desert or in caves, or where night took him, more than 30 years like that after Saul's promise, he is finally king, as the Lord promised him over Israel and Judah. Not only that, the Lord gave him the happiness and grace to conquer Jerusalem, to get the Jebusites out of there, and before David Jerusalem was not Jerusalem. What did Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, and the holy city as we now know it, was David's conquest of that city, and now he lived in a fortress called the city of David, and he was safe there, and he said, You know what? But I'm missing one thing, where I'm ruling, and where I'm living, I need the presence of God to be close to me.

And brothers, do not think that this was something automatic or for granted, Saul was king for forty years before David and it never occurred to Saul to bring the Ark to where he was, Saul was very happy to govern a city and the ark they had stored in some stores far from him, and for Saul the Ark was merely, it was as if it were a secret weapon, and at a time when Israel was surrounded by their enemies he sent for the Ark of God, as if it were a little box magic to defeat your enemies. First of all my brothers, we have to overcome that mentality, if you have been here with that mentality, and you have treated God looking for him in trouble, you know what? God did not deny his presence in those moments, God accompanied them in battles, in the high majority of cases the presence of God was here, there and got them out of their troubles, but God wants something more with you.

And start with this, and if you're writing something down, write this down: It's not about the box. You know, what the Ark was doing was the presence of God. What made this box special was the idea that the glory of the Lord was on this box. Separate the glory of God from the Ark and what you have is a box, that happened once on purpose. The Lord got so upset as we Puerto Ricans say, he got so angry with Israel that one day in the middle of battle he said, bye, see you pass, he left them there and they marched with their box to battle, and what happened was not nice there, the philistines discovered in a short time, this is a box, their God is not here. Brothers, without the presence of God, the box, look, you are looking for a place to keep the Christmas decorations, you can keep them in that box, you are looking to keep the tools, you can keep them there, the motets that you already You haven't put them on in ten years, you can keep them there, because without the presence of the Lord, it's a box, and you know what? Many things that for us, that box represents our religious symbols, the things that we treasure so much , which is religion, because, well, if we are evangelicals or if we are Pentecostals, if we sing gospel, if we raise our hands, if we speak in tongues, and we can focus, only on the box, and forget about the most important thing that it is the presence of the Lord.

Brother, do you want to worry about something? Worry about the presence of the Lord, worry about the box and worry about the presence of the Lord, both require energy, you cannot spend the same energy worrying about the box and the presence of the Lord, the one who worries about the box is constantly wondering, will the Holy Spirit feel welcome here? Will the environment be prepared in such a way that the Lord feels comfortable here? What does God want for that he feel free in our means?, what has God said, how will the Lord feel to dwell in my heart where I am?. That is enough energy, if you want to worry about something, worry about that, to please the presence of the Lord, to have it close, and that is what he wanted, David wanted the presence of the Lord where he was going to rule over Jerusalem. .

Brothers, I want to share something with you, this church longs for revival, I, for me, for many, this does want a mark that distinguishes the congregation of León de Judá, and not only us, like us there are other crazy people who do not believe that Revival is a work of fiction out there, it is something, I hope to see it, and perhaps I believe that we are already experiencing shadows of a powerful visitation of the Spirit of God, how do we know? How do we know that the Lord is reigning? over Boston as we have asked, that the Lord is ruling over New England? Brothers, I suggest that many times we are looking for signs in the wrong places, we are looking for signs about the State House, perhaps we are looking for signs about the White House, about schools, government institutions, laws, the economy, you know. I also look for it there, I want to see and I long to see the transformation of those institutions, I believe that it will be so.

But first, I think we are looking in the wrong place, before the revival reaches those institutions, the presence of the Lord will have to inhabit our houses, the presence of the Lord will have to invade our homes, and that happened with Obed-Edom They brought him the Ark of God, and he understood something of the power of God and the presence of the Lord, and he welcomed him, and Obed-Edom had something in his heart that pleased God. And in the three months that the Ark of God was in the house of Obed-Edom, the Holy Spirit felt welcome there, in other words, as we Latins say, the Holy Spirit felt in his house. He felt at home.

The Bible does not give us the details of what happened in those three months. What the Bible does tell me is this, and this is my desire for you, I believe that this is the desire of the Holy Spirit for you tonight, take the glory of God to your home, because He desires, as Obed- Edom, bless all his house, translated household, your extended family, your economy, everything he owned, there was not a corner of Obed-Edom that the Lord did not touch, I believe that it was also, I do not believe that this process was also automatic, I believe that this was a gradual invasion, like nuclear radioactivity, I imagine having this box, let's say, the presence of Jehovah, first there in his living room, and the first thing one understands is this, and perhaps Obed- Edom understands this, you do not control the Holy Spirit, it is not your toy, there is a certain reverence, a certain fear of the presence of the Lord even in your house, especially in your house, in your privacy, especially there you walk with a reverence for the presence that dwells there, you insist, you insist on a reverence, for the presence of God who lives there, I imagine a Job getting up at dawn offering sacrifice for his children so that the Spirit of God who dwelt in his home would not be offended, revering the presence of the Lord.

And the radioactivity of that presence rises up and goes into the kitchen and the pantry and where we keep our food, running into the basement, into the oil, into whatever controls our home, putting that radioactivity up, drilling through those walls, there's nothing stopping it. the Spirit of God, entering our bedroom, covering our matrimonial bed, blessing everything that is there, and if that were enough, it does not respect walls, it leaves our house, because when the presence of the Lord dwells in your house, there is no way to stop it or hide it, and it begins to radiate to my neighbor's house, to that whole block, and before long all of Summerville, the city where I live, feels that there is something different because the presence of the Lord dwells at 162 Central Street, they don't know why it is, they don't know why it is, and you will see that this radioactivity begins to change things, it begins to insist certain things on us, it begins to work blessing everything it reaches, your finances, your intimacy with your spouse gue, your economy, your work ethic, the way you communicate with your workers, your relationship with your children, the presence of the Lord covers the cradle of your children, and I'm speaking spiritually, you can be 50 something years old, their children 20, 30 years old, will have children of their own, they will live at the other end of the world, there the radioactivity of the glory of God reaches, blessing our house.

And brothers, shortly, if there are enough Obed-Edoms that appear, if the glory of Jehovah begins to dwell in our houses, the king already knows oh, now it is safe, there is a free field, now we can move the Ark to the city Santa, to the center of government, then we will see the signs that we are asking the Lord for, but it begins with our house. I invite you to stand up for one last intercession, the adorers, the adorer.

My brother, you have heard that phrase, when we say goodbye, Lord, we say goodbye to this place, what is it like?, we say goodbye to this place but not from your presence, I also say amen, but now we are going to pray individually, and with desire, this is a refuge for you, glory to God, but you know, the Holy Spirit already wants to accompany you to your house, I don't know what awaits you there, I don't know what is in your work, I don't know what you expect your reality, how it would change if the Spirit of God lived there, how Dorchester would change if the Spirit of God lived there, how Rocksberry would change if the Spirit of God lived there, how Villa Victoria would change if the Spirit of God lived there, how Cambridge would change if the Spirit of God dwelt there, as Molden would change if the Spirit of God dwelt there.

But that requires someone, that you welcome the Spirit of God, in an active way, in a deliberate way, in an intentional way, let's do that, with your prophetic eyes, I invite you to capture this prophetic image, you you arrive and there is no irreverence in this, the Lord would be delighted if he heard this, put the Ark of God in the trunk of your car, go up to your apartment, take out the Ark of God, put it down where you pray, without asking permission Don't worry, it will bless you all along, it will bless you all along, and it already directs, directs the Spirit of God, give it the place, directs the influence of the Spirit of God, directs the healing of the Spirit of God .

Now receive this prayer, begin to receive these instructions, begin to receive this intervention, about your servants, name your name if necessary, where you want the radioactivity of the glory of God to reach, name children, name brothers, name relatives, Name job managers, name supervisors, you are Obed-Edom tonight, and the Holy Spirit wants to dwell with you, wants to live with you, wants to be with you, inhabiting the spaces of your life, don't leave it here, don't leave it here.

Lord, in the name of Jesus invade our lives, invade our lives, do not ask us to leave you, do not ask us to leave your presence, accompany us Spirit of God, Lord fill the spaces of every home, of every reality, of every life , Lord, let your presence be felt, we open our minds, we open our wallets, we open our work room, Lord, we open our walk, Lord, wherever you want Lord we welcome you, do not stay here, Spirit of God, do not stay here, don't stay here, don't stay here, amen.
