Summary: The speaker reflects on Psalm 23 and verse 6, which says that goodness and mercy will follow us all our lives. The speaker believes that God uses different beings and entities, such as angels and Jesus, to accompany us on our journey. The speaker also mentions the importance of wisdom and intelligence as path helpers, found in Proverbs chapter 4 and chapter 8. Finally, the speaker emphasizes the role of the Spirit of God as an important way helper, who intercedes for us in our weaknesses and reveals to us the things that God has already granted for our lives.
The Holy Spirit is always with us and helps us in our weaknesses. God has already granted us his promises according to his will for our lives. We should be aware of God's continuous presence in our lives and move according to that promise. We should not let fear dominate us but have the conviction that God is seeking to fulfill his promises in us. We should be still and calm and know that God is with us. We should trust and believe in God's word and be renewed with hope. We should rest peacefully in God and ask for his direction and revelation. We bless each other with God's joy, strength, and victory. We pray and thank God in Jesus' name. Amen.
Lord, I thank you for this opportunity that you allow me to share this word that you have put in my heart. Lord, again as I always tell you, it is my wish, Lord, that this meditation and the words that come out of my mouth serve as inspiration. to each one of my brothers and sisters Lord, and, You know the place, the journey in life in which each one of them find themselves now, and my request is that You speak to them in these moments Lord, and that This brief meditation that I am going to share will encourage you, serve as an input, as a stimulus to your lives, whether you are here or those who are watching us on the internet Lord, there in your homes, wherever you are Father, may this word reach your heart, I ask you in the name of Jesus, amen.
Look my brothers I was meditating these days that I have been to several funerals, what things I got inspiration from a funeral, look at that, that's good, but something good always comes out of a funeral, don't believe it, but one of the key passages, One of the key texts that is almost always read or received at a funeral is which one, guess what it is, Psalm 23, gentlemen, Psalm 23, one of the most frequently spoken Psalms at a funeral. But what, at one of these funerals two weeks ago, when we were reading like this, I got stuck on verse 6 of Psalm 23, and verse 6, if you can put verse 6, is the verse that says, to the one to two and three, look how verse 6 says, it says: "certainly good and mercy will follow me all the days of my life". stop there. Good and mercy will follow me all the days of my life.
So I felt inspired to talk to him about assistants on the road, assistants on our journey, and if we start to look at the Bible, as they say from cover to cover, in the Bible there are different assistants, resources, people, beings, that God uses entities that God uses, to accompany his chosen ones, his chosen ones throughout the journeys in which God himself has placed them. I also found a truth about this in Psalm 34, verse 7, which is another Psalm that is read a lot at funerals, and it is the Psalm that says: "the angel of Jehovah encamps around those who fear him and defends them ".
Psalm 91 verse 11 also says: "for he will command his angels, concerning you to guard you in all your ways. I think we can say that we believe in angels, right? Many of us can say that we have been taught that we have a little guardian angel out there somewhere, some of us have a legion of angels guarding us because we go astray in different ways and we need more than one, than two that can cover us and protect us, but some of us are fine with one with two And I like to think that, and you know that even Hollywood has been able to capture this in a movie, of how there are angels that appear at the moment and save a person, and it is rather illustrating the things that are already in the Bible.
I have known stories of, I remember I knew a story of a lady in Puerto Rico who was going to be robbed by some boys and the lady became enraged and said, the angel of the Lord camps around me, one of those very well Pentecostal women, He came out screaming like that, and the only thing the lady remembers is that suddenly those boys ran out and said, what is that, what is that, and the boys ran off, but the lady was left stunned as it were because she didn't He saw but the boys did see something. So I think that statement, this big man suddenly revealed himself, I don't know if he had wings or not with a drawn sword, ready to break the heads of those three boys or something like that, but those boys saw something after the statement made by that lady, because she was alone there was no one else around.
So I believe that these beings, those angels are part of our journey, part of our walk, and God puts them there to take care of us, there is a joke that even in the car those angels are with us but if you go more than 70 miles The angels and God get out of the car and you're on your own, so you have to be careful not to go over 70 miles, okay? (laughs).
Another verse that makes me think about this is Jesus himself, when Jesus in Matthew 28, who is giving the great commission to his disciples, comes the moment where He tells them, "and teach everyone to observe all the things that I I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you always until the end of the world." Jesus himself promised his presence in the midst of our lives. So Jesus himself has arranged himself as that guardian angel, that being that is watching over us, that covers us when we leave our houses in a car and suddenly -pan- the car ends with the commas on top and one after comes out like what happened to me, something happened there, something is there covering us. And I faithfully believe that there are those assistants who are covering us, but there are also those other assistants that we often cannot perceive, because they are so subtle, they are like, we are not even aware of them, but they are there.
And one of them is the one we read about in Psalm 93, surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life. Look, it's like the bodyguards we have from God. They are two bodyguards who are there, we don't know, we don't feel them, because when we talk about mercy our mind quickly begins to moralize things and we get very philosophical about what good means, what it means mercy, and we can become poets, but the point is that they are agents of God, they are qualities, it is part of the characteristics of God that God allows them and places them there by our side, to accompany us at all times, in all the things that we are.
Why the good? How many times have we had that little voice that spoke to us like, "psh, hey, don't get in there", "psh hey, what you said wasn't right", "psh, hey, get your hands off of there", like I do that. That little voice is good, it is the voice of God, through his spirit that is there giving us those promises, those signs like, hey, be aware, it is not that one is going crazy and oh, I have a little voice that tells me something, ah, no no, I believe that this is the voice of God through good, and not only good, but through mercy, look how many of us need mercy in our lives.
I am sure that when I walk out that door I am going to need God's mercy on me. I mean, it's not that I'm so bad, but I'm sure that I'm going to need God's mercy. When you get home you are going to need God's mercy in some form or another. And it's not that I'm prophesying wrong, but when you get home, who knows what you're going to find there, maybe everything you experienced here is going to go down the toilet, and you're going to need the mercy of God at that moment when you enter through the threshold of the door of your house. Goodness and mercy show God's desire to be able to bless his own based on his promises for our lives.
Two other very special path helpers are in Proverbs chapter 4, I want to read this to you, Proverbs chapter 4, beginning in verse 5, I think this is where many of us will identify with this part. Proverbs chapter 4 verse 5 says: "acquire wisdom, acquire intelligence, do not forget or depart from the reasons of my mouth, do not leave her and she will keep you", he is talking about wisdom, "acquire wisdom, and above all your positions acquire intelligence, exalt her and she will exalt you, she will honor you when you have embraced her, grace will adorn your head, crown of beauty will give you.
Look at another verse, Proverbs 8, Proverbs 8, it also talks about wisdom, like those assistants on the way, Proverbs chapter 8 verse 1 says: "Does not wisdom cry out, and intelligence give her voice? In the heights next to the road, at the crossroads of the sidewalks he stops", were we not just talking about people who feel that they are at a crossroads, on a crossroad? "At the crossroads of the sidewalks, in the place of the gates, at the entrance of the city, at the entrance of the gates, wisdom and intelligence give voices saying, oh men, and I include women too, to you I cry out, I direct my voice to their children, to the children of men, understand oh simple discretion and you, jm, fools, hehe, enter sanity. Hear because I will speak excellent things and I will open my lips for right things, because my mouth speak truth, and wickedness abhors my lips."
What's more, I'm going to tell you so you know that in Proverbs wisdom knows who it's talking about? I'm going to give you a secret, go ahead and see where I am... ok. Verse 22, right there. Look who he is talking about, I want you to imagine who he is talking about, when he talks about wisdom, he says: "Jehovah possessed me in the beginning, from old before his works", he is talking before the creation, " Eternally I had the principality from the beginning before the earth, before the depths were I was begotten, before the fountains of many waters were, before the mountains were formed, before the hills I had already been begotten, I had not The earth was still made, nor the fields, nor the beginning of the dust of the world, when I formed the heavens, there I was, when I traced the circle on the face of the abyss, there I was also, when I affirmed the heavens above, when I affirmed the sources from the abyss, when the sea established its statute so that the waters would not transgress its commandment, when it established the foundations of the earth, with Him I was ordering everything, and it was His delight from day to day having solace before Him at all times. Who do you think all this is talking about, Jesus? Wisdom embodies the person of Jesus.
I dream that we can have a better road assistant than Jesus himself, his wisdom, his intelligence, his goodness, his mercy, his strength, his protection, his discernment, look my brothers, why am I bringing this message today, maybe you already You have the idea there, but there is one more agent that God uses, that is found in Romans chapter 8 verse 26, first Corinthians 2: from 9 to 12, and one of those helpers, one of those most important way helpers, is nothing more and nothing less than the Spirit of God, who helps us in our weakness by interceding before God for us. How many of you have run out of words trying to express something before God, which is like you have already exhausted the Spanish dictionary, the English dictionary, the Portuguese dictionary, the Russian dictionary, the Chinese dictionary, you've already spent them all and you're still speechless. When that time comes, you have a helper along the way, and that is the Spirit of God interceding for you.
And look at how that passage says: "And in the same way the Spirit helps us in our weakness, since we do not know what we have to ask as is convenient, but the Spirit of God intercedes for us with unspeakable groans, but he who searches the hearts because according to the will of God, intercede for the saints, for the chosen ones, those who have been set apart for God" who are each one of us. The first passage of Corinthians 2, is also very beautiful and I want to read it, look how it says, beginning in verse 9: "But as it is written, things that eye has not seen and ear has not heard, nor have they entered the heart of man , are those that God has prepared for those who love him". But God revealed them to us by the Spirit, because the Spirit, who says: "searches everything, even the depths of God, for who among men knows the things of man except the spirit of man that is in Him, so neither has anyone known the things of God except the Spirit of God, and we have not received the spirit of man but the Spirit of God, so that we may know what God has given us" what? "granted". It is not that God is thinking about it yet, it is not that you have to ask it for Him then after thinking hm, geez I give it to you yes or no, what He has already granted. But not granted according to his will, it is granted according to His will for your life. That Spirit of God knows the secrets that are in the heart of God, and he wants us to know those that are in his heart.
So look, when you are walking through your life and you encounter the different challenges that life can bring you, think about this, you have many resources that are assisting you in your walk, and you can think of key people that God puts around them, that is beautiful, that is precious, it is beautiful to have the body of Christ, how God can help us with the advice of other people around us, but above that are the assistants who They come directly from God, there are those who protect us, and there are those we do not know but those voices are there, goodness, mercy, wisdom, intelligence, gifts that come from God, which are enclosed in the person of Jesus, and that Jesus himself has promised to walk with us, so see if there is something that I can finish saying today, it is the following, I cannot deny the truth of the continuous presence of God in our midst, I cannot deny it.
Because I say this because I know that it is in Him to fulfill his promise of a continuous presence in us, it is in Him to do that. The question is, are we aware of that continuous presence of God in our lives? ask yourself. You are living when you make your decisions, when you do something, say something, think something, you are acting under the awareness that hm, there is someone who is with me, who is watching, who is monitoring all the things that I do, listen to me, it's not for nothing but that scares me sometimes, but fear should not dominate, what should dominate is the conviction that there is an almighty God who is seeking to fulfill his promises in you, and that he is going to use anything for that to happen.
We then have to settle in that truth, and move according to that promise of God in our lives. We are going to stand up and we are going to pray.
Thank you Jesus. Father, I thank you tonight for the beautiful way that we have been able to enjoy in your presence Lord, the prayers that have been raised before you Lord, whether they have already been said or that have come from the depths of our hearts and still those who have needed the assistance of the Spirit, to be able to communicate them before you, because many times we do not know how to pray God, but Father, look, we have been exposed to this word, and I have shared it with my brothers and sisters trusting and believing Lord that this word is not going to return empty, but that it is going to fulfill the purpose for which it has been sent.
Help us to be always aware Lord that You are always with us Jesus, that we do not necessarily have to experience a current in our body to know that You are with us Lord if not rather, You want us to live with the conviction, the conviction continuous that You are there, that You are working that You are walking with us, and that even in those moments of silence Lord, silence does not imply absence of You, it is the mere fact that You are only there waiting to fulfill your time, your purpose, your word in us. Help us Lord not to get carried away by anxiety, not to despair Lord, to always be able to keep confident and calm in you Lord. You yourself tell us to be still and calm and know that I am God. So Father if that word gets to somebody tonight, I say amen to that word, so be it, that we can be still, and know that You are the God of our lives so that You can do so much more in our lives than we that we can think
So Father bless each one of my brothers and sisters tonight Jesus, I declare upon each of them your blessing, your strength, your steadfastness Jesus, I declare a sense of hope in their hearts Lord that, if there have been circumstances that they have stolen their hope Lord, right now, right now, I declare that hope renewed double to triple Jesus, that they can leave here with their eyes illuminated Lord, with their heart widened my God, knowing that You are with them that You you walk with them, that you give them wisdom Lord that you fill them with intelligence, to know how to fulfill all the responsibilities or face all the challenges that they may come before their lives. Allow us that when we leave here we can feel the presence and company of goodness and mercy, that they go with us every day Jesus. And that above all things Your presence itself Lord, affirm our hearts.
Father that even tonight when we go to our beds to sleep Jesus, oh dad may that bed take the shape of your hand Lord, and I declare it so Jesus, that those people who perhaps have not been able to rest due to some anxiety, right now I declare that when they arrive at their house, that house will be full of your peace, it will be full of your shalome, You yourself will cleanse the air, Jesus, of anything that prevents your children from resting peacefully tonight in you. And Father that through that rest, that dream You speak and reveal yourself to their lives. Dad, if I beg you, speak clearly to the hearts of your sons and daughters, who are desperately, longing for a word of direction, a word of revelation from you. I bless your sons and daughters tonight, and upon each of them I declare your joy, I declare your strength, I declare your victory. Thank you Jesus for tonight, thank you for this moment. Let's bring our lives to you. In the name of your son Jesus we pray and thank you. Amen Lord Jesus, amen amen, thank you God.
