In the book of Esther, we see the story of a Jewish woman named Esther who becomes queen of Persia and is faced with a difficult decision when her people are threatened with genocide by an evil man named Haman. Esther seeks God's wisdom and guidance, and through fasting, prayer, and intercession, she devises a plan to save her people. She shows us the importance of seeking God's strategies and waiting on His timing, rather than acting impulsively and in our own flesh. We should always seek to manifest the fruit of the Spirit in difficult situations and trust in God's faithfulness to provide for us.
The story of Esther and Mordecai teaches us about obedience, teamwork, and using the resources God has given us to fulfill our purpose and destiny. We must embrace our identity in God, seek to obey Him, and be willing to get out of our comfort zone to fulfill His will. By doing so, we can impact not only our own lives but also the lives of future generations. Let us pray for wisdom and resources from heaven to navigate difficult times and fulfill our God-given purpose.
I pray for my brothers in the name of the Lord, asking for wisdom and resources in difficult times. I thank God for their gifts and ask that they continue to flourish for His glory. Thank you, God, for everything you've done and will continue to do in our lives. Amen.

Never stop fixing your eyes on the Lord, because, always at some point, even though you think He is taking a long time, at some point what you have longed for and what you need will arrive.
Always know as we told the young ladies yesterday that none of us is an accident, it was not simply because our parents got together one day and as a result we are here.
Each of us has a purpose, unique, special, a destiny in the Lord.
And sometimes when we lose sight of that purpose, and we don't have that conviction that we have an identity, that God has given us a new identity, we are not today what we were before, once the Lord comes into our lives he gives us a new position, a new identity according to the riches in glory, that is, the standard is not something small, it is according to the riches in glory, to the spiritual resources that are in heaven for each one of us, so When you feel in those moments of weakness, like you lose focus, that confusion comes to your mind, always remember who you are, and what resources you have.
And on this day we are going to meditate on the book of Esther, the story of Esther, on the word in the old testament, when we were here in the time of praise, Avi our daughter told Caleb to bless me, Ima that is so she calls me, she's going to preach a sermon today, so please bless her, and Caleb came over to me and whispered in my ear, "Ima, God bless your salmon."
So I hope that today you eat the salmon that is prepared before the table (laughs).
The book of Esther, as I said, is in the old testament, it is between Nehemias and Job, it is a short book, there are only 10 chapters, so if you turn the pages too quickly the book will go away, but it is a treasure, like We would say a hidden treasure that shouldn't be so hidden, I encourage you, obviously in the time we have, well one can only touch certain principles and part of the story, but I encourage you to search, to read it, it is very easy to read, I don't know how in less than an hour, you have already read it and with enough attention, so I encourage you to read it for the benefit of your own lives and to be able to edify others and draw lessons from it.
Yesterday, as the sisters who sang that song so beautifully said, we were a fairly large group of young women here, about 90 young women between the ages of 12 and 18, and what a precious time.
And one sees how in an activity like this, when one declares the word of God through singing, where there is an atmosphere charged with the love of the Lord, with a work team that knows what it has to do, that knows that it has to demonstrate love, affection through all his expression of his work, for the people who are going to come invited to the party, where the word of God is preached with anointing, so many things that happened here, we saw the transformation process in the young women After a little while, at first, of course, they arrive like this a little bit, they feel uncomfortable, many of them don't know this place, because they are from other churches, they didn't know anyone else, because they come with a certain discomfort, a natural truth that everyone we passed, and maybe they don't know what this is about, what's going to happen, my mom brought me here, I'm not sure that this is the place where I wanted to be, I preferred to be sleeping, all those things that even adults we think sometimes
But the point is that we saw when they were receiving from the Lord, what beauty, and the Lord did marvelous things, we saw broken hearts, I believe that the young women acquired a new determination for their lives, not to make certain mistakes, to honor God in many ways in their lives, and the Spirit softened, softened, to the point that the activity lasted until 2 o'clock, and they didn't want to leave, we almost had to turn off the lights, because they began to talk to each other, to talk, they I saw, there was an atmosphere of joy that was not there from the beginning, it was something that through what they received, they also received that impartation.
And part of what happened here, obviously we know that the presence of the Lord was in this place in a very special way, but a good measure was what each person who worked here yesterday imparted to those young women.
It was so, so, so beautiful for me to see young women that many of them busy with many things, study, work, who gave their time to be here, and minister to the lives of these young women, and that was, I mean, they understood, I have to set aside time to dedicate to this generation that is beginning to rise up, and how beautiful when the people of God unite and give the gifts they have in themselves.
And obviously Esther, yesterday a town was not saved from a genocide as Esther achieved through her collaboration with God, but one does not know that it was planted there, beautiful for the lives of those young women, so all of us who were here, in a In this sense we continue to fulfill Esther's legacy, and that is what each of us has to do in his life.
But again, let's go back to Esther then, we know, Esther, her name means Star, Esther lived 2,500 years ago in the Persian empire, it was a huge empire, 127 provinces stretching from India to Ethiopia, a vast expanse of land covering this empire had
And Esther was a simple young woman, from the town, Jewish, whose ancestors had perhaps been exiled to the Persian empire, to Babylon specifically, and she was orphaned, we don't know at what age, but she was orphaned by father and mother, and then Mordecai that he was possibly an older cousin, I imagine, he adopted her, he was her adoptive father.
So this book is about the lives of these two characters, and how they found themselves making a life or death decision, where that was what was in the balance, life or death, not of one person but of an entire people. .
Interestingly, in this book the name of God is not specifically mentioned, but we see through it, if you read the story, you see how God is there present in everything, moving the pieces, linking one thing to another, performing miracles, bringing unexpected results in a situation of great crisis, and that is how it is often in our lives, it does not happen many times that they are inside the hole and you think that God is absent, sometimes we believe, we pray, and we believe like that our prayer does not go up from the roof, and we ask, but God, what are you doing? God is acting, even though we cannot put our finger on exactly what he is doing, God is acting.
So it is the story of these two people, Mordecai and Esther, Mordecai Esther's adoptive father, and what happens at that moment, the book begins with some great celebrations, where I imagine that everything that should not be given was given, some celebrations of many many days, that King Ahasuerus was sponsoring in different parts of the province, and in one last of these celebrations, this king, Ahasuerus, sends a eunuch to look for the queen, to exhibit her, basically, so that all the princes that he had there in his court would see how beautiful, how wonderful Queen Vashti was.
What's up, Vashti seems to have read feminist books, already at that time, and she said no, I'm not going there, maybe she didn't like that, and she resisted, she decided not to go, which obviously led to a point, to that the king take, under the advice of his other princes, remove Vashti, uncrown her, they took her crown, she was no longer queen, and she no longer had the option of appearing before the king or being called by the king, and then What was happening, there is no longer a queen, Queen Vashti is no longer there, so there is a void, and the king wanted to have his queen, and they basically call what we would call a beauty contest, where he asks that different rulers present, bring to court the most beautiful women, obviously virgin women, the most beautiful, for him to choose among them.
And so she comes to court.
A fascinating story, I think there are many soap operas or whatever it is called, novels in Spanish that remain small with this fascinating story, so I encourage you to continue reading it.
So she comes to the palace because of her beauty, that's the reason she's there, because of her beauty, and she found herself competing with many other women for the title of queen, women who were equally beautiful, we see in the book in Esther 2:17, look what happened: it says that "The king loved Esther more than all women, and she found grace and kindness before him, and he put the crown on her head and made her queen instead of Vashti ".
One may think that it was her physical beauty that motivated the king, but there were beautiful women there, in that place too, I think it was the inner beauty, the spiritual beauty that Esther projected, immediately distinguished her, because she did not only the king showed favor towards her, before even those who attended to the women, who took them through the process to appear before the king, had already shown preference towards her, so she had something that distinguished her, there was a beauty, a depth of spirit that distinguished her, and it is very interesting that it says here that, in that verse that she found grace and benevolence before the king, and the historians of that time, Ahasuerus was not the most benevolent person and that he gave the greatest grace and love, he was a bloodthirsty, cruel, womanizing man, he was, imagine all the bad attributes you can think of, there you have them in the life of that man, and yet it says here that she found grace and benevolence, she She aroused something in this very bad king, because there was something inside her that motivated him to do that.
And it is that we know that even the most rabid lion, when God says calm down, be still, and he wants to change it, that can still happen.
So Ahasuerus believed that it was he who was choosing Esther, but we know that God had chosen Esther for that purpose a long time ago.
And what happens when she is barely adjusting to her life as queen, terrible news comes to her through Mordecai.
Haman, who is the prime minister of King Ahasuerus, an extremely evil name, too, who hates Mordecai and reason, notice why he hates Mordecai, as a son of Israel who honors God, he did not give him tribute to no man, and since Aman was prime minister he demanded, and I think the law also stipulated it, that he had that every time he passed by a place, those around them had to show homage to him as a sign of honor, and humiliate themselves in front of Haman, and what happens, Mordecai resisted that, and that enraged Haman in such a way that he plotted, not only to kill Mordecai, to eliminate him from the picture, because that made him lose sleep, but he also plotted kill all the Jewish people, imagine that, we are talking about many many people that this man wanted to eliminate from the face of the earth, only because he did not feel honored by Mordecai.
And so he meets with King Ahasuerus and they plot, he manipulates in a way, he talks about this people without even mentioning that they were the Jewish people, he talks about this people and asks the king for permission to eliminate these people who were supposedly doing harm. to the kingdom, and that's how it happens like who doesn't want the thing, and they cast lots in Hebrew, luck is the word pur, which later you will understand why I'm mentioning it, and they cast lots and determine in what month exactly, I think that if I remember correctly it was about 11 months later, this massacre of the Jews was going to take place, and they send letters, edicts, throughout the kingdom, the 127 provinces, declaring that all the citizens of the kingdom have every right to eliminate any person of Jewish extraction who was in those provinces, imagine that, that you are very calm, imagine that you receive the news that, in El Salvador, that they are going to kill let's say that you are of Salvadoran extraction, that they are going to to kill their Salvadoran brothers in El Salvador, in Mexico, in the United States, in many places, that would make anyone's heart sad, and one would want to do something to resolve that, because that was the news that Mordecai also received, the lots were cast and they determined that these lives would be eliminated, and look at verse 4:3 of the book of Esther, it says that "all the Jewish people had great mourning, fasting, weeping, and lamentation" before the imminent genocide, because they could not even defend themselves nor prepare to defend himself, it was a sure kill from Haman.
And this is happening outside, and Esther was in her palace, in her luxuries, in her opulence, she did not have daily, daily contact with her people because she was already removed from that, it was not that she did not care, she did care a lot, but her life was already very different, to the point that in the palace itself they did not talk about these things, she was not aware of what was happening, with the imminent slaughter of her people, and it is through Mordecai, she sends a servant to talk to Mordecai, who Mordecai tells her what is happening.
And we are going to read that, that would be a portion that we can read, in chapter 4, we go to verses 7 to 17, Esther 4, 7 to 17, and it says like this: "and Mordecai declared everything that had happened to Esther , and he gave him news of the silver that Haman had said he would weigh for the king's treasuries in exchange for the destruction of the Jews, he also gave him the copy of the decree that had been given in Zusa, which was where they lived, so that were destroyed, so that he would show Esther and declare it to her, and commission her to go before the king to plead with him and to intercede before him for his people."
So the servant receives this very organized information from Mordecai, gives her even the edict, look, show her so she can see what is happening.
Atak, who was the servant, came and told Esther the words of Mordecai.
Then Esther told Atak to tell Mordecai, "All the king's servants and the people of the king's provinces know that any man who enters the king's inner court to see the king without being called, there is only one law regarding He must die, except for the one to whom the king will extend the golden scepter, who will live, and I have not been called to see the king these 30 days."
So she agrees with Mordecai, Mordecai, I can't do that, we are talking about my head, that is, if I go in front of the king, he can decide to kill me, not spare my life.
And they told Mordecai the words of Esther, then Mordecai told them to respond to Esther, those are the words of life, of confrontation and of life at the same time that Mordecai gives her, and says: "do not think that you will escape in the house of the king more than any other Jew, because if you are absolutely silent at this time, respite and liberation will come from somewhere else for the Jews, but you and your father's house will perish", and the famous phrase, "and who knows if for this hour you have come to the kingdom."
The words inspired by God.
You think you are there for a reason, but who knows, if this is why you came to the kingdom.
And Esther said to answer Mordecai, "Go and assemble all the Jews who are in Zusa, and fast for me, and do not eat or drink for three days, night and day, I also with my maidens will fast likewise, and then I will go in to see the king, even if it is not according to the law, and if I perish, let me perish."
So Mordecai went and did according to all that Esther commanded him. What a fascinating dialogue right? there's a lot to cut there.
It doesn't happen every day that a simple woman, a simple man like Esther and Mordecai, come to be in a position of such influence, and with such a terrible drama on her shoulders, where we said a moment ago that it was a drama of life or death, and in the midst of that desperate situation, Esther did not despair, she chose not to despair, she trusted in the faithfulness of her God.
And God provided everything necessary, early on, for her to be able to exercise effective leadership at that time.
And then she verified what she already knew, it was not my beauty that brought me here, but that I came to fulfill a sovereign purpose, I am here in the kingdom for this hour, that was confirmed to her.
And we see through the story, and I encourage you to read it again, how God showed power toward her by giving her a special, well-needed measure, the full, abundant measure, of wisdom, of courage, and of discernment, and to that? in order to free his people from an enemy as terrible as Haman.
I know that many of us sometimes find ourselves in very difficult situations, perhaps they are not life or death situations like the ones Esther and her people were in, but other difficult situations that tend to make us desperate, to make us lose focus on what we are doing. God, and how God can help us and that He is more than strong to help us, and that we can do everything in Him.
And when those moments come, when they are ahead of us, we have to remember that we have the mind of Christ, that He has all the wisdom and all the resources for us.
The word encourages us to ask for wisdom, it says that everyone who asks for wisdom who says that God is going to withhold it?, no, God is going to give it and he is going to give it abundantly.
God loves to be asked for wisdom.
And that was what Esther did at that moment.
She listed, notice in verse 16 it says to "go, assemble all the Jews who are in Zusa and fast for me."
And she says that she was also going to do the same and tells her exactly how long, three days and three nights, for everyone to fast, and she doesn't mention the word prayer, but we presume, we assume, that she also included the word prayer, she He asks you that, that is, he uses weapons, not weapons of the enemy but the weapons of God, he immediately calls what? to fasting, prayer, intercession of the people over her.
And that is often what we have to do, once again she did not lose focus immediately to make a decision, to hide, to flee, to do nothing, to be terrified, but rather, the first thing she thinks is, what weapons do I have? At my hand, I don't have many earthly things like that, but I have at my hand the weapons of fasting, prayer and intercession, and what happens, that it gets stronger, three days later already strengthened by the effect of that, the strategies come , God gives him some spiritual strategies, tells him what he has to do to defeat the enemy of his people, to establish a counterattack, against the evil strategies that Haman has.
And it is then that she enters before the king, without being called, and again the king extends his scepter before her and sees her with grace, opens the doors of her heart and allows her to enter him, that is, he spared her life, she was doing something for which her life could be condemned, and when the king saw her, she once again obtained grace before his eyes and was able to enter the presence of the king again, and was able to set out in her plan of salvation through him. town.
And we see in the story that Esther looked for the opportune moment, she devised, the strategy that God gave her was to invite the king to two banquets and to also invite the enemy, Haman to those two banquets, and who does not like to go to a banquet right? so she invited them for that.
And at the second banquet she unmasked Haman, she declared to the king the evil plan that Haman had against her people.
Until that moment the king did not know that she was a Jew because Mordecai had instructed him, do not reveal that you are a Jew, and she very obediently, was a woman who held on, I think that is why God blessed her so much, because she knew how to hold on to his adoptive father, as well as later we see that Mordecai also subjected himself to her and followed the strategies that she determined.
If you want someone to submit to you, show yourself first what subjection is, God blesses when we have a spirit of subjection, God blesses that and brings peace to the environments because of it.
And then we see in the story that after the second banquet, the same king ordered Haman to be executed, so Haman, this evil man who had it in his mind to destroy Mordecai, was precisely executed on the same gallows that he had prepared to kill Mordecai. Mordecai, it is one of those totally unexpected things, Haman had built this gallows with the intention of hanging Mordecai there, and it was he himself, the same one who ordered the gallows to be built, he was the one who died, in it by order of King Azuero, a A man who was in a place of prominence, where it was not seen that he could be removed from there, ended up being hanged, again because God intervened in the life of this town and gave Esther the exact addresses.
When moments like this come in our life, difficult moments, we have to search for fasting, prayer, ask the Lord for strategies, ask Him for strategies, not despair, not lose focus, never use the enemy's weapons.
You know that many times when difficult situations come into our lives, we take, we lose focus, we make the wrong decisions and many times what happens is that a spiral begins, things start to turn out worse and worse, because we are not moving in wisdom of the Lord, and that happens to us in small family situations, in large family situations, in marriage situations, at work, in all places, in the church, in the ministries, these things happen, that there is a difficult situation , and we act impulsively, we act in our own flesh, with our own weapons, and we forget to find out what the Lord wants us to do, what strategies he wants, because many times the strategies that He gives us, we have to kill our own flesh before and that is difficult, dying to self is very difficult, it is a lifelong process, and when we have urgent situations sometimes it becomes difficult for us and we act in the flesh, but I believe that it is he example that Esther gives us with her life is precisely to seek first what God wants, develop spiritual strategies, and then do.
Once we already have God's plan, move on in faith.
In the word we see an example of a situation where this did not happen, they remember Abraham and Sara, what happened, God's promise came that he was going to have offspring, but the years passed, months did not pass, years passed , tens of years, until Sara says but nothing is happening, could it be that the Lord forgot that He promised us this? And then he presents his servant Hagar to Abraham and the servant remains in a state, and there we see all the problems that have happened for generations due to a bad decision, because she acted, did not wait on the Lord, did not wait for the strategies of the Lord, she did not wait for the Lord's time, she went ahead, she acted impulsively, after waiting, yes, we must give her credit for that, she waited a long time, but she did not know how to continue waiting on the Lord, and that is why she made such a terrible mistake .
And in life we make bad decisions and then begins that spiral of bad consequences from which it is even more difficult to get up.
So when evil comes, a test in our lives, we are going to see what I have to do, what weapons God would use, I act immediately or I wait, what does God want me to do, how can I manifest the fruit of the Spirit in this situation, I leave let my flesh work or work the fruit of the Spirit in me, the Spirit of the Lord in me.
They are everyday questions, with small things, like when someone gives us a bad pass on the highway that I do, I speed up and I honk and tell them that they are going to die, or I wait calmly and say come on, God bless brother, have a good day, that is, what are we going to do, we are always in our life, life even though we are children of God, we are believers, there are always difficult situations in our lives, it bothers me when I I hear someone say to a new believer, come to Christ and everything will be fine for you, that is not true, it is not true that everything will be fine for us, but it is true that when trials come, difficulties come from God He is going to give us the wisdom to resolve things so that He, to Him be the glory and that He is pleased with us, and we at the same time are blessed more and more.
That is what the word promises us, not that everything will go well for us, that is not true, many people sell that gospel and when things go wrong, do you know the first thing they say? Those are liars, they told me that everything was going to be fine for me, however, everything is going wrong for me, so let's never say that to someone, with the complexity that the gospel brings in itself.
An example of this, how we can act impulsively, once a sister told me that she was in a divorce period, I don't know how they had been married for 10 years, and God told her, she is a prophetic woman, a woman of God , and told her that her marriage was going to be restored, and gave her the specific strategies that she had to wait a while, she was giving a considerable time like a year, before treating each other again as friends, and re-establishing a relationship relationship together, to remarry, the thing is that it happened, impulsively, she fell back into the relationship with him, she did not wait, she did not wait for the changes that God wanted to make in her life and in his life, and that was it failed, it was damaged forever, there had already been some good signs that things were changing and could be restored, however she knows that by disobedience she thwarted God's plan.
So this is a small example, I know that in our lives there are many examples of how we stray from God's perfect plan due to impulsiveness, because we think that we know more than God, that is what happens to us, it is disbelief. We do not believe God, and we think that we know more than Him, and that cannot be.
One thing that impresses me about Esther's life is that she knew how to work as a team with others, we see that she called this fast first, and we see how she worked with Mordecai as a team, that they made a wonderful team, I spoke a little while ago from the subjection, she was able to work so well with Mordecai because in good times she had developed a good relationship with him, a relationship of respect, of love, it was a mutual relationship of respect and love, of subjection, and we see in the story how she submits to Mordecai's instruction, and how Mordecai later follows her instructions, that is, he submits to her, that is so important, and that teamwork can be achieved when you develop harmonious relationships in your daily life, that is so important, when we have harmonious relationships at home, in families, at church, at work, everything becomes so easy, it really becomes easy, because it is much easier in a moment of need c With what resources I count and we unite, to strategize together and to support each other.
Obviously Esther was a very young woman, Mordecai was a man possibly older than her, I don't know how long but older than her, a stable man, he thought very well, upright, a man of his word, and he helped her in this Such a difficult process, he did confront her, but it was like an anchor for her, the stability that he brought her in her life, helped her to think well, to focus on what she had to do and do the right thing.
So that, we can be that influence in the lives of others, be like anchors for them.
I don't know if you have seen in families when everyone gets upset, one person or many more are always needed to provide that emotional, spiritual stability, to declare the word as it is, to help situations improve and be resolved, to the best not at the moment, but they don't get worse, at least they don't get worse, because the problem with crises is that when we act in a crisis manner, in times of crisis, with our minds in crisis, the crisis goes growing more and more, and Mordecai was a stabilizing force in Esther's life, God willing that we be like that too, be stabilizing forces in the lives of others.
We have had situations in the church, in the family, where a difficult situation occurs, what a blessing it is to sit at the table, in the room wherever, sit with others close to us, work as a team with them and resolve situations, pray together, give us words of comfort, let the other know look I'm here for you.
This does not happen overnight, this is something that we have to cultivate throughout our lives, that is, we always keep that in mind, that God blesses, where there is harmony, God blesses, so it is It is very important to establish a sense of teamwork wherever we are.
As a result of all this, Esther returns, risks her life again, and asks the king to go one step further, asks him to sign an edict allowing the Jews to defend themselves, until that moment they knew that the slaughter was coming. an appointed time, the day the lots were cast for it to happen.
Then one step further, one more strategy that God gave was again to present yourself before the king, and ask him to sign an edict that is like a contraindication to the edict that had been declared before.
And we see here how everything was mobilized, Esther used the resources that she had at hand, she and Mordecai worked in unity, and she discovered resources, wisdom that she did not know she had inside.
That happens to us sometimes, we think no, I can't do that, if I were in the situation that my sister is in, I couldn't do that, but what happens when the time comes, if we have cultivated a perfect heart for him? Lord, there we discover that we do have the weapons of the Lord within us and we have gifts that the Lord wants to discover.
Once I heard a story about two little seeds that were in the earth, and one of them asks the other that you are going to be a seed, and the other tells her, well, I am going to break the earth, my roots are going to break the earth, my roots are going to break the earth and they are going to come out very deep, the roots in the earth, and I am going to grow like a big tree and I am going to give fruit to all.
And he asks him and you are going to be a seed, nothing I'm going to stay here, that's very risky, I don't know what's down there, I don't know what's up there, so I'm going to stay here calmly without Do nothing.
Do you know what happened? One good day, a hungry chicken arrived on the land and who did it grab? he grabbed the little seed and ate it, not risking it.
So you know that you have many things inside of you, take risks, take risks to do what God wants, grow, take root, there are things unknown to us, but if God commands you to do it, if God is calling you to do it , do it in the name of the Lord.
We see through history that Mordecai and Esther saw a need, joined the pain of the people, and wanted to be obedient to the Lord, they were obedient.
They used the resources that God had given them, and that is why they were able to bring salvation to the people.
They got out of their comfort zone, they got out of that zone and they put their lives at risk.
Many times we are going to have to stretch a little more and get out of our comfort zone.
And God rewarded his efforts in a great way, first the people were saved, and second, even Mordecai, who was just an ordinary Jewish citizen, you know that he ended up occupying the place of prime minister that Haman occupied, imagine what an unexpected end that was in the life of Mordecai, who could have imagined it.
So, the liberation of the people was achieved, not only was the decree for the people to defend themselves, but she, Esther, was able to make another decree, another edict, and this is a celebratory edict, in verse 9 :22 says that "they commemorated the days of purin as days in which the Jews had peace from their enemies, and as the month in which sadness was changed to joy, and mourning into a good day, that they make them days of banquet and joy , to send portions each to his neighbor, and gifts to the poor.
How beautiful, something that, there was a death edict on them, and later it became a celebration edict, those are the slurry festivals, it is the festival of luck, that to this day, 2005 years later, the town A Jew celebrates them, and as part of the celebration they read the complete book of Esther, and I know that it is so because I have a Jewish friend, and I asked her if it was true that this was done to this day and she told me that yes, that until today the book of Esther is still read, commemorating what she Esther in faith and obedience and what Mordecai did together for the liberation of the Jewish people.
And one of the things that they say there, in verse 18 later, is that these days would be remembered and celebrated by all generations, so to this day, 2005 years later, that is still celebrated, by all generations.
In other words, Esther and Mordecai did something that we are still hearing about today, the day that we are hearing about it on May 1st, and that slurry celebration is still celebrated today.
And for me it is revolutionary to understand, and it seems to me something so beautiful that God can use my efforts, that my efforts today in the Lord, the platform of faith, of action that I do today, has transcendence for generations, that is, not only not for today but for generations.
And I want to read you to finish the verse in Isaiah 44: 3 to 5, which says like this, it says: "because I will pour water on the thirsty land, and rivers on the dry land, I will pour out my Spirit on your generation, and my blessing on your offspring , and they will spring up among the grass like willows by the banks of the waters."
What a beautiful promise for us.
You want God to spill water on your dry land, don't you? We all do.
Do you want me to spill rivers on your arid land? And that He pours out His Spirit on your generation and your offspring? right yes? we all want that, that for me is an impressive verse, that is what I want, that the Lord not only renew my life, but that what I do today will have an impact for generations.
So for one to achieve that, what we have to do, going back to the life of Esther and Mordecai, we have to embrace our purpose and our destiny in God, right, understand what our position is, understand that God has brought us into this world with a purpose, none of us is an accident, born at the wrong time or in the wrong place, exactly where God wanted us to be, we all have God's purpose and God's destiny in our spiritual DNA.
Well, then we are going to move within that identity, we are going to seek to obey the Lord in everything, in the call that he gives us, to do it, to go further, to stretch ourselves, to risk many times, I hope that many of you do not have to give his life to save the lives of others, but if that is what it costs, the missionaries, the missionaries today, that is what they do in terrible places, I read their stories and I bless them and I say, how is it possible that someone is willing with so much love to give his life for people they still don't know, who are still of a different race than them, but that's what God does, when we move further, when we get out of our comfort zone like Esther and Mordecai there God meets us on that path and gives us everything we need for the purpose He has for our lives.
I bless you and I declare that this is going to be the case in the life of each one of you. Imagine that each one of you risked like this, that you were willing to fulfill the will of God one hundred percent, what a revolution, Boston would revolutionize, Massachusetts would the same, the nation, the nations, so we are going to have that attitude of obedience, of seeking the resources of heaven.
And rather we're going to end with a prayer and we have sacrament in a moment, maybe we can do the song during sacrament, the last one, ok, I know we've gone a bit too far, let me declare a word of blessing on you and on my life, Lord thank you for the word that you have declared on this day, Lord thank you for the lives of so many biblical characters who inspire us and impact our lives to do your will.
Lord, I bless my brothers in your name and I declare that it will be the same in their lives, that you are going to give them the wisdom and resources from heaven that are necessary in difficult times.
Father, I declare that before making impulsive decisions they will be able to appear before you, seek your resources, fast, seek your direction, so that every solution to their problems, every strategy, is a blessing, a solution to the situation, saves the situation truly and first of all bring glory and honor to you Lord.
Thank you for my brothers Lord, thank you for the beautiful gifts that You have placed in each one, may those gifts flourish more and more every day for your glory.
Thank you Father, we bless you and we thank you for everything you have done on this day and for what you will continue to do in our lives. Thank you my Father, amen.
