God's promises are faithful and true

Summary: God's promises are trustworthy because God's character is truthful and faithful. Unlike humans, God does not lie, change or fail to fulfill His promises. We can trust in His promises even when circumstances seem contrary.

It is important to understand that the character of the promises is closely tied to the character of the one who promises. If the one who promises lacks firm character, his promises will not be fulfilled or will be half fulfilled. How different when it comes to God's Promises! Since God's character is truth and faithfulness, likewise His promises are true and faithful. God does not lie, he does not change, he does not change; what He has said He will do, and not only that, but He is POWERFUL to enforce each of His promises on our lives, even if everything seems contrary.

"Let us trust in the promises of God, because He is not a man to lie to, nor a son of man to repent of what he has told us"
