Summary: The speaker reflects on the hallmarks of Christmas, including the fact that it happened during a time of distress and supernatural revelation, and that it fulfilled prophecies. Christmas represents God's time with us and the beginning of a new life. The speaker encourages listeners to remember these aspects of Christmas and to recognize that even in difficult times, God can transform our situations and make the impossible possible. The speaker concludes with a prayer and a call to offer our lives to God in worship.
May we keep a sense of awe and appreciation for the mystery of the incarnation each day, and may we be blessed in the name of Jesus.
Whenever we think of Christmas time, one thinks: Wow, Christmas! That it is not going to be a routine message like this. I don't want it to sound monotonous: here is another Christmas message. But yes, I can't help but think about those aspects that are crucial to what makes Christmas what it is. They are those aspects that we cannot look beyond, but we have to pay attention to because although they are aspects that were experienced at a time, in a season that was a long time ago, with everything, and these are points that can speak a lot to us. us today. And there are six things -at least- that I managed to identify that I want to communicate with you today.
What are those hallmarks of Christmas?
Number 1: Christmas happened at a time of much distress. It was a time when death was in the air, it was a time where many mothers and fathers mourned the loss of their children, part of the Christmas story in the Book of Matthew [Matthew, Chapter 2] tells us that King Herod At that time, when he found out that there was a King who was to be born among the people of Israel, he felt frightened of losing his power and that is why he ordered the elimination of all children 2 years of age and under to see if he could seek to eliminate to that King who was to be born. And in particular he was looking to eliminate Jesus.
So one of the things that I can highlight is that: that Christmas happens in a time of great anguish. But despite that anguish wonderful things happened. It was those difficult situations that became a seedbed for God's blessing.
Another aspect that I can mention is that Christmas time was a time of supernatural revelation. It was at Christmas time that there was a greater manifestation of angels, whether they were seen live and in full color or through dreams. An angel who manifested himself to Mary and let her know that she was going to conceive the Son of God. There was the angel who spoke to Joseph and told him not to get away from Mary but to be with her. That same angel was the one who sent Joseph to leave Israel to protect Jesus so that he would not be eliminated.
It was this supernatural manifestation that appeared to the Shepherds in the fields while they were herding the sheep. Those angels were the ones who communicated that message to the Shepherds that there was a King who was to be born and that they had to go and adore him. A time of supernatural revelation.
On the other hand, I can also say that it was a time of the fulfillment of prophecies. Words that prophets like Isaiah and Jeremiah had spoken centuries ago were fulfilled at the moment of Jesus' birth. Words that perhaps in the minds of many had been forgotten, Christmas time was bringing them back to memory. There was a word that was being fulfilled in the midst of that time and of the people who were testifying to it.
In the same way, Christmas time can be said to be Emmanuel's time. And by this I mean that it was God's time in us. It was the time where God manifested himself in the flesh to his chosen people, it was the time where God decided to intervene once again in the history of humanity to change things. It was not God's time for them, but it was God's time with them.
From that, Christmas also becomes the time where the impossible becomes possible. It was when the angel told Mary: "Mary, for you, this is impossible, but nothing is impossible for God." Christmas brings that gift that what for men seemed like it would never happen, God was telling people: “It is time for this to happen. It is time for my plans to begin to be fulfilled in the midst of my people”.
And finally, my brothers, the sixth aspect that I want to mention. It is the most important of all, I am going to remind you right now, and it is that Christmas is the beginning of a new life. It was the time where a new hope, where a new light shone in the midst of the darkness of humanity. It was the moment where every man, every woman, every child, every young man had the opportunity to start his life over.
So I go back and repeat so you don't forget: What were those aspects of Christmas? Number 1: a time of trouble - this is the first. I have a good student there. But from that time of anguish the following emerged: a time of supernatural revelation, some prophecies were being fulfilled, a time where God was being with each one of us, a time where the impossible was becoming possible. And a time where a new life was beginning.
When you walk out those doors, I want you to remember these six things. Because they are principles that apply to us today. There is no one here in this room or there on the Internet where you see us, there is no one who can be exempted from these principles, each of us in one way or another, are experiencing moments of anguish, pain, persecution. Life is hard. Jesus himself said it: "In the world you will have affliction, but believe in me, for I have overcome the world."
Moreover, Jesus himself uses those afflictions -as we have well learned in this church- for our benefits. God uses those distressing situations and transforms them into gifts to bless our lives. He uses those experiences to fulfill the promises He has given over your life. There are prophecies that have been declared in the air and that are beginning to be fulfilled in the midst of each one of us.
There are words that have come out of the mouth of God that although we are not aware of it but are addressed to us. But if they come out with the intention of God's heart, they will be fulfilled in our midst. It is those words that will cause us to become a new time where God becomes present and tangible in our midst. We begin to live a new time of Emmanuel. Every day that we leave our house or that we enter it, or that we go to sleep or get up, becomes an Emmanuel because God is with us.
God is with us. He walks with you, eats with you, sleeps with you, laughs with you, cries with you, thinks with you, walks at your pace and also moves you at His pace.
Emmanuel: God with us. And because God is with us, my brothers, it becomes a time where the impossible is going to become possible. Say it again to yourself: The impossible becomes possible.
Again: The impossible becomes possible. That is Christmas. Because Jesus wants to do what seems impossible to us, He wants to make it possible in you. You see your situation, your circumstance and you can say: this is impossible, I cannot overcome this. And God is telling you: 'Don't worry, I'm going to make it possible because I'm Emmanuel. I'm with you. I make it possible. It's not you, it's Me'.
Hallelujah!
And because God wants to make the impossible possible in us, He brings the hope of a new life to each one of us. It is the desire of the heart of God. God came into this world to give abundant life to each one of us. He wants to give us an abundant life. What if perhaps, you are looking around you and what you see are ashes, God wants to turn those ashes into a dance, a dance of joy and joy in you.
God wants to give you a joy that surpasses any circumstance. God wants to give you wisdom so you know how to take each of your steps. God does not want you to live with just one emotion, with a tickle in your heart that makes you jump or something, God wants that emotion to become a deep conviction that transforms your entire environment; change the paradigms of your life, change your way of speaking, your way of thinking, your way of relating to others, your way of managing your money or the material goods you have, the way you take care of your body: the health of your body
God wants to transform all of that. He wants to give you a new life, He wants to make an Emmanuel in you, He wants to transform the impossible into possible so that his Glory can be manifested in you.
So what are we going to do this Christmas? Are we going to sit by the little tree and sing Christmas carols with our family? Let's do it, it's nice. Are we going to give him gifts to each other? That is pretty. But the best gift that I want you to take with you tonight is for you to think about the connection between each of these points.
Christmas is beautiful, the season is beautiful. It gives one a joy, but it does not take away from the reality in which we are living. The tests will continue there. Diseases will continue to come out even though we rebuke them in the name of Jesus.
But look, the same thing that I just said, look at that as the seedbed from which God will draw a blessing for your life. Look, I'm telling you, it's going to be the time where the words that He has decreed about you are going to begin to come true. Perhaps you have seen many that have been fulfilled to this day. But new words are going to be fulfilled in the midst of your life. You are going to see that it is going to be Emanuel's time in your life, you are going to see that it is God's time in you.
It is not God's time for you, it is God's time in you, with you. You are going to be able to experience it in such a tangible and palpable way and that is why you are going to begin to see how the impossible is going to begin to turn into possible things.
What before seemed like a giant, because of that Emanuel will become a cockroach that you will be able to step on and that is why you will see that the door to a new life will open. There's Christmas in a nutshell. The new life we receive in Christ Jesus.
My brother, my sister, you who are listening to me tonight, I want to encourage you. Make this Christmas something special. Don't let the routine of life overwhelm you and sink you. See if maybe you have to do like José and María who had to escape their situations for a moment. See if you have to take a break-phew. Salt!
But rest assured that God will bring you again. And when God brings you back, get ready for that supernatural revelation, those angels that are going to show up in your life who might not have feathered wings, maybe they'll have a Red Socks beanie, if you see one with the yankees cap don't mind them that's the other one. But angels may manifest in different ways in your life.
Supernatural things are going to happen. I believe so. Supernatural things that will confirm the word of God in your life, that will make God an Emmanuel, a real and tangible presence in you. That you are going to see that the impossible is going to become possible and that the opportunity for a new life is going to arise from you, it will arise in you and from you to others.
We are going to stand up and we are going to pray.
Lord Jesus to you we give you the glory and honor. Thanks for your word. Your word that is alive and real. Lord we have declared it in faith. We have declared this word with authority because we know that it comes from you Jesus and from you to our hearts.
Your wish is that we can experience your life. May we see those new things that You want to do in us. You want to turn our impossible into the possible, You want to be that Emmanuel God, You want to be with us, You want to do supernatural things in our lives even despite the persecutions we may suffer. You use that to bring Your blessing to us.
So Lord, we send this word to your people, those who are here, those who are far away. We send this word Lord. To you be glory and honor. To you be glory and honor for all centuries and all ages.
Amen Lord Jesus and Amen my God.
Hallelujah. Thanks God. Thank you Lord Jesus. Thank you.
'All the glory, honor and honor
All the glory, honor and honor'
Quickly tell the Lord where you are tell him:
I want to raise my hands
I want to raise my voice
Offering you my life
In Holiness and Love.
Father, only to You I offer
My life and my heart.
And I prostrate myself in your presence
In worship. Son of God
Get all the glory today
The honor and honour.
Son of God
Get all the glory today
The honor and honour.
All the glory, honor and honor"
Yes, Father, receive all the Glory, all the honor, all the honor because you sacrificed so much through your Son Jesus Christ. You delivered what You love most so that today we can experience moments like the one we have experienced, Lord. We feel that the skies are thinning and we can penetrate into your presence, Lord.
Thank you Lord because through Christ Jesus we have that bridge that allows us to have access to your throne of mercy. Always allow us Lord to be attentive and aware of what that sacrifice meant.
We thank you, Lord, for the mystery of the incarnation. The contradictions into which your Son entered, the sufferings, the internal conflicts, the sufferings, his humanity, his deity so that we could have access to You and enter into communion with You, Lord.
We adore you, we bless you, we thank you because today we can celebrate Christmas with joy in our hearts. We can celebrate the fact of being reconciled creatures with the Father. Thank you for making us inhabitants of this wonderful mystery.
Always maintain a sense of wonder, of mystery, and help us each day to be aware of the cost and drama of the incarnation.
We bless you, Lord. We bless your people, we bless our lives these days. Help us stay focused on what is truly worth. we bless you Return us to our homes with Your blessing, Father.
Thank my Lord. In the name of Jesus. Brothers and sisters blessings. Forward in the Lord.
