Summary: The culture of postmodernity can unbalance Christians and mold them to principles that go against God's teachings. We need to renew our minds and reject the garbage that the world offers us. Impure thoughts come to our minds, but we must identify the thoughts that come from God and turn them into personal virtue. The Bible fills us with wisdom and teachings that make us better and better, and God wants purity of thoughts from his children. Let us be filled with Christ and cast off double standards.

The culture of postmodernity and its postulates, not only about the truth, but about many other aspects of life, tends to unbalance us and tries to mold Christians to principles that in principle, we must reject. The day to day sometimes prevents us from having real moments of healthy meditation and thinking about the good over any other thought. Computers and its offerings, cheap literature and addiction to the messy love romance that worldly television offers, can become real obstacles to our spiritual growth and so that the thoughts that come from God are not the ones that prevail in our mind. , often captivated, that is, enslaved to the residues of secularity.

God calls us to renew our minds and not saturate it with the garbage that the world offers us wrapped in gift paper and that generates as the only result, thoughts that have nothing to do with virtue. Of course it is difficult! Or has God said that the Christian life is a walk on an unobstructed highway?

I imagine that one of the things the Lord has to hate the most is double standards. That of walking with two faces, one to please the world and the other to try to ingratiate ourselves with Him, is not a matter of games for the God who wants us to fill our minds with Him. The truth is that impure thoughts often come to our minds. , unworthy, we fill ourselves with a vain, intellectual knowledge; We fall into the trap of believing that we are invulnerable to contamination and we allow ourselves to be seduced by the multicolored roulette of a game that inevitably leads to the death of the most precious thing we have to offer to God: our heart.

God's Word is the key. Socrates once said: Only knowledge that makes us better is useful.

And what makes us better is the Word of God. If we let the garbage of the world enter our minds, we will inevitably become garbage as well. The Christian is called to define and identify the thoughts that come from the Lord and turn them into personal virtue, that is, integrity, dignity, goodness and honesty. God can do it for each one of us, but first we must know how to listen to his loving and authoritative voice.

The Bible makes us better. Filling us with his wisdom and his teachings not only makes us winners, but men and women, sons and daughters of God, better and better, because the Bible contains the mind of God and God wants purity of thoughts from his children then turn into action.

Dear brothers and sisters, let us be filled with Christ! His love fertilizes the wonder of a mind full of everything that comes from Him, that is, of everything good, of what is worthy of his fatherhood. Let us cast off the double standards that make us Christians from time to time and dilute us with the beautiful, desirable, and thirsty joy of filling our minds with the one and only God.

May He bless you!
