How many are prepared to receive the word of the Lord, now? Haggai, the book of Haggai. It is a tiny book that is there, it is the third to last book of the Old Testament. Then comes Zacarias, and then Malachi, if I'm not mistaken. Haggai, the penultimate book of the Old Testament. Let's go to Chapter 1.

The Lord has been speaking to me about this book and the other two books that follow it and I want to share with you something this morning that has to do in part with the time that we are living in scarcity and economic difficulties.

I want to share with you some thoughts from Chapter 1, I encourage you to read the whole book, it's only three Chapters I think, two Chapters. I'm going to read from Chapter 1.

It says: “…In the second year of King Darius in the sixth month, on the first day of the month, the word of Jehovah came through the prophet Haggai… - that word came to two people, two officials -…one was called Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, who was governor of Judah, and the word also came to Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, who was the high priest, saying, Thus has the LORD of hosts spoken, saying, This people says the time has not yet come, the time for the house of the LORD be rebuilt..." – that is what the people were saying and God is paraphrasing what the people of Israel are saying out there.

“…the time has not come for the house of the Lord to be rebuilt. Then the word of Jehovah came through Haggai the prophet saying, Is it time for you to live in your paneled houses and this house is deserted?..."

What house was the Lord referring to? To the deserted house, his house, his temple. “…for thus says the LORD of hosts, meditate well on your ways, you sow much and gather little, you eat and are not satisfied, you drink and are not satisfied, you dress and are not warm. And he who works for wages receives his wages on deaf ears. Thus says the Lord of hosts, meditate on your ways… - he tells them a second time, meditate on your ways -…. Go up to the mountain and bring wood and rebuild the house and I will put my will in it and I will be glorified, says the Lord. You search a lot... - here the Lord emphasizes what the problem is -... you search a lot and find little, in whom you lock yourself at home and I will dissipate it in a breath. Because? says the LORD of hosts. Because when my house is deserted and each one of you runs to his own house, that is why the heavens stopped the rain on you and the earth stopped its fruits, and I called drought on this land, on the mountains, on the wheat , on wine, on oil, on all that the earth produces, on men, on beasts, on all the work of hands..."

Look how detailed is the Lord's description of what is really happening, behind an economy that is not working as it should. Then he says:

“…and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Jehoshaphat, the high priest, and all the rest of the people, heard the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet as the LORD their God had sent him, and they feared the people before the LORD…”

There is the solution to the problem. What was the reaction of the people instead of hardening their hearts? They listened and adjusted their hearts to the Lord's message through his prophet.

“….Then Haggai, sent by the Lord, spoke by command of the Lord to the people, saying, I am with you, says the Lord, and the Lord awakened the spirit of Zerubbabel, son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua, son of Jehoshaphat , the high priest, and the spirit of all the rest of the people, and they came and worked in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God, on the 24th day of the sixth month in the second year of King Darius…”

Lord, we deliver this reading and this meditation to you and we ask that your Holy Spirit guide and bless us, Lord, at this moment as we meditate on your word. Yes, this text has been part of my meditation these days. About three years ago God activated the words of this book in my heart about things to come and matters of the future. Haggai is a very prophetic book, not only because it is written by a prophet but also because it has parts that talk about times far beyond the times in which the prophet himself preached. In some moments the prophet Haggai, perhaps without knowing what he was saying or really seeing, went back to the coming of the Lord and this text sometimes seems to introduce us without telling us when one thing ends and the other begins in a prophetic vision for the last time.

But the time that concerns Haggai is a time in which the people of Israel have just returned, not long ago, from captivity in Babylon. God had exiled the Hebrew people for their sins and their idolatry and had taken them captive to Babylon and had kept them there for 70 years, God had said that the people were going to be in captivity and had prophesied it through the book of Daniel. And the people were in captivity all that time, and as the end of that time was drawing near, God moved the heart of King Darius originally, and King Cyrus before that, to begin to allow the Jewish people to return from captivity. to his land again. And of course, before the captivity the temple had been destroyed, the Hebrews had resisted the Babylonian empire and it had been ordered that the temple, that beautiful one that had been built by Solomon, was completely destroyed. When the Jews returned to Jerusalem there was no temple and they had to start again to rebuild the temple.

How interesting that today in the 21st century there is no temple again in Israel. The temple was destroyed in the year 70 after Christ by Roman troops in another resistance on the part of the Jewish people, a rebellion, and the Roman empire ordered that temple to be destroyed again. And since then in the last two thousand years the Jews have not had a temple.

By the way, if you go to Jerusalem, as I have had the grace to go, what is today above the temple complex is an Arab mosque, which is, they call it the mosque of the golden dome, it is marvelous, beautiful . I've been there. You cannot enter it because only Arabs and Muslims can enter, but it is an architectural beauty and it is immense and today the entire area where the Solomonic temple was is now governed and guarded by Muslim authorities, even within Jerusalem, Look, that area the Jewish authorities cannot enter there. They have entered once or twice and they have thrown stones at them and all that, they have done it as if to establish their… but even within Jerusalem itself, and within Israel, in that area the Jews cannot enter.

Do you know what they do? They love it, I don't know why I'm saying this but it must be important. The Jews worship below, where the wall is, the old wall, which they know was where the Solomonic temple was. And do you know what that wall is called? The wall of lamentations. I have been there too. It is a very moving place. There are 24 hours a day the Jews praying and crying out and lamenting that their temple has not yet been rebuilt. And they want to rebuild their temple, but now it's unbuilt.

And I personally believe that these books of Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi have to do with the rebuilding of the temple thousands of years ago, but they also have a prophetic dimension that goes back to present times in which the Judaic temple is also expected to it will be rebuilt again.

I tell you, brothers, the day you see the Jewish temple being rebuilt, make a reservation in a very tall building and wait for the Lord to come at any moment to take away your church, because the doors will be very close to opening. for the second coming of Jesus Christ.

But oh my God, someone told me, turn off your cell phone brother, that's mine, imagine, the pastor giving a bad example. We all sin and by the way, someone told me, Anita came last Sunday, pastor, tell people to turn off cell phones. I told her, of course, Anita, I'm going to tell you. Now I tell you. All of this was coldly calculated. I put it there to make it sound like that, to remind me to turn off our cell phones. I don't know who that reckless man is, but I'm going to talk to him so he gets out of here. Listen to me, you have to catch the most dramatic moment to interrupt.

The fact is, brothers, that I believe that God is speaking to the church at this time about the reconstruction of the Jewish temple and let me tell you something here that I shouldn't even say. I believe that we, this church, which is now involved in a construction project for their temple, brothers, I feel that there are like distant parallels there with respect to the construction of our temple. The church of Jesus Christ needs to be rebuilding temples at this time as a sign that the devil has wanted to destroy the testimony of God's people but he will not be able to do it. The devil has wanted to supplant himself and put himself on top of those places where a temple dedicated to the true God should go and the church of Jesus Christ has to resist that and has to be rebuilding and building its temples.

Here in Boston, in this city, where there is a now subdued testimony of the church, this nation, this area of New England was the cradle of the Gospel, here the first Puritans and pilgrims arrived in Plymouth, to establish what was to be the most powerful nation on earth, a nation that for centuries was founded on biblical values and now that has disappeared. And today many of the New England churches are occupied by doctrines of demons, Unitarianism and a host of other things where the word of God is not being preached and there are people who should sit and listen to the word of God shepherding people and not They know the true God. And I say this humbly. God knows my heart. I don't feel better than them but the truth is the truth.

There are temples in New England that have been taken over by heretical doctrine and by people who do not know the God of the word of God, and that is why those churches are dying and we must ask the Lord, Father, to blow so that those temples can return to be taken up again by the spirit of God and that again, from those pulpits, the word once given to the saints sounds again.

But there is something that God wants his temples rebuilt or built, brothers. And these are not the best times to be building temples. Look what it says here, the Lord calls his prophet, Haggai, to prophesy to the high priest and the governor, that is, to the civil authority, through the governor, and to the religious authority, through the high priest. And so that these two men who are authority over the people receive the word of God on behalf of all the people who have to receive that word, and the Lord tells them, tell those people that the people are saying, the people are saying , the time has not yet come, the time for the house of Jehovah to be rebuilt.

It's saying, what people are saying is that it's not the right time, it's not the right time. Let me say something, brothers, first of all, look, there is no ideal time to give to the Lord, nor to build the house of the Lord. There are always going to be problems, there are always going to be gaps, I don't think any of us here can say, you know what? wow, my credit score is so good and my bank account is so full and crammed with money, that I have to start giving to the Lord because it's the only way I can free myself a little bit of all the money I have. How many can say that's your problem to talk to you after the service immediately and ask you for a loan or something?

I think everyone, you know what? Giving to the Lord has to be a matter of principle and faith, of spiritual discipline, it is the only way, because the flesh and the devil will never let you be generous towards God. And someone who has to make a resolution, one has to start fighting and fighting with the Bible until the problem is resolved and one is convinced that giving to the Lord is good and is a blessing and that it rains, shines or shines Whether I like it or not, I am going to be generous with the Lord, I am going to make sure that your house is full and blessed and that you have everything you need for your needs and your ministries.

A lot of people say, oh, the time hasn't come, I'm going to wait for the lottery to hit me, I'm playing the lottery and praying that the Lord gives me a good ticket and that when I hit it, then I'll start giving Mr. You know what, brothers? The time will never come.

You have to give to God by faith, it is a matter of faith. It is a matter of whether I believe or I do not believe and this is either a lie or it is the truth and what God says and promises will be fulfilled in my life if I am faithful to him, and that the more the circumstances around me become say negative, I'm going to believe the Lord and I'm going to throw those pesos in the devil's face to make him upset, I'm going to give it to the Lord in the name of Jesus.

And that prophetic anointing of the people of God breaks the yoke. The Hebrew people, this Jewish people, look, this is long and perhaps from what I see I'm going to have to take another sermon to finish this. It seems that there are two or three who are happy that it is so. You know brothers, that word of Haggai has a tail because about 18 years before that word of Haggai came to the Jewish people the Hebrews had begun to build their temple, they had faithfully begun to build and had begun to lay the foundations of the temple. But do you know what happened? Opposition came and if you want, go back with me a moment, to the book of Ezra, another of those hidden books in the Bible. Next to Neemiah, Ezra and Neemiah are sister books as well because they speak of the return of God's people to Jerusalem after the captivity.

These books, Ezra and Neemias, though quite distant in space from Haggai, are nearly contemporaneous. Ezra and Neemiah are a little bit before Haggai was written, remember that, the new brothers in the word. Just because one book is physically far from another does not mean that in terms of time, it is equally far away. Ezra and Neemias were written more for less at a time, a little before Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi.

And look here at the history of what has happened. When God tells Haggai, go and preach to the people and prophesy to them, what is happening is that the people, after starting the construction of the temple, difficulties arose and they became frightened and stopped the work. And almost 20 years passed without the work continuing, and that's when God sends the prophet Haggai and Zechariah to prophesy and he tells them, prophesy to the people and tell them what is happening here, why have you stopped the work and you are saying that the time has not yet come. Let's see when the time comes, let's see.

And meanwhile you are building your houses and you are paneling them and you are putting mahogany on the walls, and you are buying $600 windows, and you say that my house has not yet come to work on it. And that is the context. Look at Ezra, this is interesting, what has happened because what happened, and it is instructive, this spiritual process is very illuminating. That is why the Bible is written, brothers.

Why does God write the Bible and give it to us? It's because as we read these events of scripture that happen hundreds and even thousands of years ago, we can extract, we can take out from them principles that are not limited to time or space. They are applicable to our own time and our own experience, so it's not really important what happened ultimately in the past, what is important is the principles that are contained in that narrative that we can apply to our times. So when we go back to Ezra, chapter 4, we can see some principles there, how to act in times of crisis and opposition.

Here in Ezra chapter 4 we see what happens when God's people faithfully begin to build the temple, because the temple was important to them, worship, and they were chastened. They had suffered a lot because of their forgetfulness of the temple and now they want to build their temple, and look what happens. It says, Chapter 4, they begin to build the temple and it says that:

“…hearing the enemies of Judah and Benjamin that those who had come from captivity were building the temple of Jehovah, the God of Israel, they came to Zerubbabel, the same Zerubbabel to whom Haggai prophesies, to the governor, and to the heads of fathers' houses, and they said, we will build with you because like you we seek your God and to him we will offer sacrifice of days, etc….”

They come hypocritically to tell them, let us work with you to build the temple, but what they wanted was to spy. In addition, they were impious who did not have the same vision that the Hebrews had and then the people of Israel answer them, in verse 3:

"...it is not convenient for us to build a house for our God with you, but we alone will build it for the Lord, the God of Israel, as King Cyrus, king of Persia, commanded us..."

They have a good desire and say, no, let us build the house of the Lord. Brethren, the things of God must be done by the people of God…. I ask the Lord, Father, bless your people, prosper your children so that we do not have to go to the financial authorities abroad to pay them twice, three times what the temple costs in interest, to build your house . Your house should have people who could give the money to build your temple. And God wants to bless his people, God wants to prosper.

I hope with the help of the Lord that as the years go by, if Christ has not yet come, León de Judá will be filled with people prosperous by God, who are faithful to the Lord, who give to the Lord and that their prosperous and blessed children can give to the Lord for any need to advance the Kingdom of God. That is our desire, that this community be prosperous and blessed because God is a God of blessing and that the people of God be filled with all provision so that nothing is lacking in the house of the Lord and we ourselves can do God's work and not having to be giving our money, God's money to the wicked and the unconverted, because we can do it ourselves.

So, but what happens? Like these people, look, when God's people try to do something, brothers, the devil gets upset and always puts up opposition. When there is something that is going to bless the Kingdom of God, I assure you that they immediately activate some little devil that is sleeping over there and tell him, throw yourself on top of that Christian and make life impossible for him so that he does not advance.

A sister told me not long ago, I am serving the Lord and ever since I tried to serve the Lord at once, opposition came to me. I told him, that is the best indication that you are on God's ways correctly. Because when we want to serve God right away the devil begins to wag his tail, annoyed, and a struggle comes to see if you are going to give up. And what one has to do, as the writer of Ephesians says, Chapter 6, what do we have to do? Stand firm and put on the armor of God, he says, so that having passed the bad day we are firm and having finished everything we are firm.

This is a time to put on the full armor of God and to fill yourself with the word of God. This is a time for you and I to be more than ever into eating the Bible at its best. Crying and fasting so that the Lord strengthens our emotions, our minds because these are difficult times and we have to be planted in the word of the Lord to fight.

Look, what happens when times of difficulty come, of crisis. What you have to do is cover yourself with the blessing and the word of God and let the windows roar, and the hurricane passes and then when everything has passed you open the window again and the birds are singing and you come back again to normal life.

But the devil is always going to attack us, when we want to do something for God, look, the opposition comes and if you don't know how to fight in the spirit they will pass over you. That is why the people of God have to be understood in the art of spiritual warfare and the prophetic word of God.

The construction of that sanctuary that we want to do there would be for me to take all the plans right now and close them and order them to be kept in a bank vault and say, I'm going to wait for all this to happen before thinking about the construction of a temple. This is the worst time for us to be, it is not the time as it says, here in Haggai, it is not the time and one could say, it is not the time to continue with the construction.

However, we have a clock that is ticking on behalf of the government here, the city and the state, which obliges us to continue with the plan to build this sanctuary. At some point we're going to talk a little more about that. Because that's what I'm telling you, I believe that this is involved in this. We're living in prophetic times, brethren, and I could right now if I were a wise man, I'd say, let's stop this, but you know what? There are times when you have to be crazy in the Lord, and you have to be prophetic, and you have to say, even if it is not the best time, even if there is difficulty, we are going to believe that God is going to do a miracle, and God is going to bless His town.

You know what? when Haggai preaches to the people of God we are going to rebuild the temple, there is an economic crisis in the town, there is an economic crisis and that is why people are saying, the time has not come to build the temple. And the Lord is telling you, you say that the temple has not arrived but I see things differently. Meditate on your ways and understand well why what is happening is happening rather.

And then there was opposition from these people and they wrote a letter to the king accusing the Jews of building the temple without authority. You know what? they have not obtained the permits so cancel the construction. They write to King Artaxerxes, I think he is, or one of those kings, it doesn't matter what his name is, but they wrote him a letter, interestingly, when Neemias tried to build the wall, the same thing happened too, opposition came. The opponents wrote a letter to the king.

They say, then, look, verse 4:4, “…the people of the land intimidated the people of Judah and terrified them so that they would not build, they also bribed the advisers against them to frustrate their purposes, all the time of Cyrus, king of Persia, and until the reign of Darius, king of Persia. In the reign of Ahasuerus, at the beginning of his reign they wrote accusations against the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem, they sent a letter from Jerusalem to Persia to tell the king, do not allow these people to build the temple..."

Because? Look at the accusation they make against him, then look at those Chapters, but in verse 16 Chapter 4 it says, “…we make it known to the king that if this city is rebuilt and its walls raised, the region beyond the river, that is, Jerusalem and Israel will not be yours…”

You know what's up, brothers? That the devil knows that when the church stands up and begins to establish its presence in the city with glorious temples and powerful worship, the devil knows that that city is no longer going to be his, that the neighborhoods are going to start to be blessed, people are going to start converting, the blessing is going to come, the demons are going to have to give up their grip.

And that's why at this time when I believe that God wants to restore New England and put his flag back in New England the devil is struggling and resisting because he doesn't want there to be a revival in New England. And only through spiritual warfare will this region be reconquered for Christ. The Lord says that when you want to plunder a strong man's house, unless you bind him first you cannot plunder his house. And the devil is not going to let go of what he has, the devil is going to struggle and try to prevent the things of God from being done.

The Lord Jesus Christ said, the kingdom of heaven, since the times of John the Baptist, the kingdom of heaven advances with force and the mighty take it by force. It is the only way, the Kingdom of God always advances in war mode because the devil never wants the Kingdom of God to advance, because the Kingdom of God is against him, against his illegitimate occupation on earth. And when the Kingdom of God advances, it is fighting against the empire of Satan, and that is why no one believes that they are going to do something significant for God unless it is first with a struggle. Now, never wrestle directly with the devil, wrestle through the word of God, through the principles of God and with the weapons of the Gospel, through the word of God.

But these people knew and told the king, if they erect their temple they will become strong and they will no longer serve you, and that is what the enemy knows and does not want the people of God to become stronger and occupy land and that it get strong and that it have its physical plant and that it grow and that it have... Satan does not want this church to grow. Satan does not want this church to have a larger place so that more people can come, that we can do more things. He wants a tiny church, squeezed into a 20 by 20 space, people there sitting on top of each other praising the Lord, as I see, sometimes so many little churches.

Near our house there is a beautiful Brazilian church, they are people who love the Lord, I always see them painting the little piece that they have rented and they do everything they can and I always see them with something new that they are doing, every time I pass by What happens is that I am a bully, I always look to see what they are doing when I am turning to go to our house, I can always be there and I look around to see what they are doing. It is a beautiful church but they have a rented temple and recently they put it there our street became only for residents and all the spaces where they could park, now they can no longer park, the church has diminished a lot. And I say, wow, what that little church needs is a good temple, where they can worship the Lord and serve the Lord, and you know what? unfortunately this city and this region is full of dead, empty temples, with one or two people there scared, stuck, dying and a word watered down, diluted and asking that the people be fed and that there be growth.

Because the devil does not want the churches alive, enlivened, filled with the Holy Spirit to have their temples. And there are a lot of temples in New England today that don't have the word of God and I pray to the Lord, Lord, do something, a massive redistribution because the churches need their places to strengthen their people. I thank the Lord for the blessing that we have, two buildings, every time I take people to the new building there, their jaws drop. Those businessmen who gave Samuel the two thousand dollars, or to the academic resource center, I took them there, three or four of them, brothers, their astonishment, at what this little church has been able to do there, their jaws dropped. . And now they want to bring others so that we can show them the temple, what we have done here. We have made these two buildings freehand, fighting with Satan and with circumstances. If we had waited until everything was fine and things were rosy, we never would have done anything.

Because it is that God must be glorified when things are not going well for you. Those are the times for the people of God to grow up and do what they have to do, brothers. And that is where one truly learns to trust in the Lord, that God is faithful, that God gets us out of trouble, that when lack comes we can always say, I will lack nothing because the Lord is with me in the valley of the shadow of death. I will not fear.

When the tests come is when the people of God should paint their mouths more well and put blush on their cheeks and go ahead and celebrate the Lord. It is not time to get depressed, brothers, it is not time to be crying there as if we did not have an almighty God.

The people of God allowed themselves to be intimidated, they sent the letters and the king himself gave the order to stop the work. 18 years passed and the town flattened there without building the temple. And look what happens, let's go to verse 23, then verse 24 says:

“…. Then the work of the house of God that was in Jerusalem ceased and was suspended until the second year of the reign of Darius, king of Persia....", which is when our story begins in the book of Haggai, a long tour, but there we arrived but we have learned a couple of things along the way. right yes? This is the word of God, it is very beautiful.

So look what happens in Chapter 5, right there from Ezra still. How beautiful is the Lord, how one thing is combined with the other, because we are reading history, we are not reading fairy tales. Chapter 5, Ezra says.

“.. Haggai and Zechariah the son of Ido prophesied…” now we are where we were in Haggai, “…both prophets to the Jews who were in Judah and in Jerusalem in the name of the God of Israel who was over them. Then Zerubbabel arose..."

Remember Zerubbabel? A name difficult not to remember, "... the son of Shealtiel and Joshua, the son of Jehozadat, and they began to rebuild the house of God that was in Jerusalem and with them the prophets of God who helped them..."

How nice. And you know what? I've already decided, I'm going to finish in about 7, 8 minutes, say glory to God everyone. And I will continue next Sunday if God allows me, because this is beautiful, this is very beautiful, everything that God has for us there. But, I believe that what God is telling us is precisely that, do not be intimidated. Tell your brother over there, don't be intimidated. Tell him like that, don't be intimidated.

Do not fear. Don't be afraid. Don't let yourself be intimidating, do not be intimidating.

Do not be intimidated when problems come, difficulties. If God has put something in your heart, conceive a dream for the Lord and do not be intimidated. Do not let the enemy, do not let the devil, do not let circumstances, do not let people and their gossip, who do not know the Lord, intimidate you and take away the gaze of God who has told you, I am faithful , I will be with you wherever you go. Do not fear, just strive and be brave because I will be with you, I have given you all the land that the soles of your feet tread on, says the Lord.

That is the word of God, brothers, for those who believe. Then it ceased and they listened to the word of the Lord. He then says in verse 5:3, “… at that time Tatnai, governor of the other side of the river, and Setarboznais, his companion, came to them and they said to him thus, Who has given you orders to build this house and erect these walls?

Notice how interesting. They started building and said, you know what? Despite the king's order, we are going to start building, and we'll deal with it when the time comes. You have to be bold in the Lord sometimes. I'm not saying that they break, that they break the law, but in this case they did it like that. There was an 18-year-old order issued by another king that said, they can't keep building. When the word of God and the prophetic word of God came, they were filled with, because you have to believe the Lord, the word of God breaks structures. When you receive a word from God, go to the bank with it, because that word is a magic key that opens the door of God's mercy and blessing. And they said, if God has told us this, we are going to launch ourselves in the name of the Lord.

All that I say to the Lord, Father, is your will that this temple be built, because if it is your will, no matter what happens, it will be built. The only thing that matters in your life is that God has spoken to you. If God has spoken to you, throw yourself on the dragons, whatever it is and keep going because the Lord is with you. God is going to open doors for you, you don't know how but he is going to do it. Throw yourself in the name of the Lord.

If God has spoken the word to you, if you're sure of the word that God has given you and you're sure that you're acting within the spirit of God and his will, go for it. Don't be afraid, don't be intimidating. Whatever comes out of the mouth of the Lord, you can go to the bank with it. You can believe that you'll be blessed. It doesn't matter how difficult the circumstances are, it doesn't matter how adverse the situation around you, how many people you have in opposition, you just go, keep walking in the name of the Lord and let your faith break through the mountain. You'll come to the other side. We have to believe in the word of the Lord.

In this case they had the opposition of the king of Persia himself, and they began to build. Sure, what happened? Again they denounced them, they asked who has given you the order to build this house and raise these walls, verse 3. “….they also asked, what are the names of the men who make this building….” Wow, that scares anyone.

“…but the eyes of God were on the elders of the Jews…”

When you are doing the will of the Lord, brothers, the eyes of the Lord are upon you, and God's blessing will come sooner or later. We do not live by emotions, we live by what has come out of the mouth of God, that God has declared, the principles of the word of God. We have to live according to principles. Brothers, it is time for the people of God to learn to live according to the word of God, God's radar, God's map, not what their mind or emotions tell them. God wants to raise up a strong people, that is why sometimes he allows the giants to come and persecute us so that we learn what war is. I always say, Lord, help me to be in your will so that I can receive the wisdom that I need to continue doing your will and prosper in the midst of difficulty.

God gave the Jews wisdom and they sent a letter saying, Cyrus, who is an authority in Persia, decades ago gave an order for this temple to be built. Search the records, search the legal records of Persia and you're going to find that letter there. And if that letter is there, that letter has superiority over the current order, that letter is a legal document, and you are committed to letting us build our temple.

Wow. Glory to the Lord. Brethren, you know, God wants these authorities, we are saying, oh these authorities are not believers. Look, these kings were some of the most bloodthirsty in all of history and God put those kings to bless the people of God to build his temple, and he tells them to pray for us, just in case.

God wants one day for the church, brothers, to have that authority, for governors and kings, and presidents to truly, not ceremonially, ask Christians to pray for them, to bless them. That king, says verse 11, “….and by me an order is given that anyone who alters this decree must have a piece of wood pulled out of his house and hanged on it.
