It's time to use our weapons

I greet in a big way the brothers who listen to us from different places on the Internet, brother Guerino, in Rome, Italy, who called me this morning, our brother Hugo, Michelo in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and also Carmen Ianichello in Grotaminarda, Merino, Italy, who called and said brother, I want a special prayer.

How many know that God listens to prayer, brothers? This afternoon I am going to invite you all to open your hearts because I believe that this message is a message that God has been dealing with my life for some days. We have been in the discipleship class, and also the growing list of men of God, feeling this need for power, brothers, to prepare ourselves.

How many know that the church is in revival? Not all, not all are convinced. Maybe I should say it in English, how many know that the church is in revival? How healthy are we in resvello? No Italian.

Yes, brethren, believe it or not the church is in revival. I said believe it or not the church is in revival. Christ is still the same, yesterday, today and forever. He still heals, he still saves, he's still on the throne, brethren. And there is power in his name, if you believe it give a loud round of applause to the King of kings and Lord of Lords. Now yes, it is felt that someone is convinced that Christ is here, and when he is present wonderful things happen.

Now I do feel, I was surprised, brothers. I was starting to feel brother Pastor Omar, he maybe I needed to preach in English.

But I'm going to try, brothers, pray for me, I forget Spanish, I forget Italian, even English. So, I am going to try, brothers, to preach in Spanish.

Second Corinthians, Chapter 10, verse 3 and brothers, for those who were there in the morning, you will forgive me because I am going to preach the same message with the same verses but I guarantee that it will turn out the same, because every time I preach, Sometimes God guides me and I greet our pastor, Sister Mercedes, who is also here this morning. Does everyone already have Second Corinthians, 10:3-7? Some well-known Scriptures of our great Apostle Saint Paul. When you have it, say amen, brothers. Says:

“…. Although we walk in the flesh, we do not fight according to the flesh because the weapons... - everyone says the weapons - of our militia are not carnal, but what does it say? Again brothers, like we had breakfast, what are they? … so that? ….In God for the destruction of strongholds…”

Again, “…because the weapons of our militia are not carnal, but what?... amen. It says, "... knocking down arguments and all haughtiness that rises against knowledge... - everyone say the knowledge of God -... and taking captive every thought to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is perfect, they will go things according to appearance if anyone is persuaded in himself, that he belongs to Christ, he also thinks for himself, that as he belongs to Christ, so we also belong to whom?... amen.”

I believe, brothers, that the church has reached a dimension and we are seeing it, there is revival all over the world, and for the revival to be effective, we can be successful, we always need to remember that the church is a militant church, I said militant, because we are here on earth militarizing. One day we will be in heaven but for today the Lord has us here on earth walking, marching like an army in order, militating, conquering land, taking it away, destroying this fortress and gaining territory for the Kingdom of God. And in this battle, in this spiritual warfare there is a need for the church to take a position and know its weapons, we have many weapons unfortunately some still do not know how to use the weapons that God has given us and sometimes God has given us different weapons for different battles , because God's purpose is for us to be a victorious church.

If you believe it, give Christ a round of applause. God has not called you to defeat, God has not called you to be in conflict. God has not called you to lose the battle. He has called you to be more than conqueror, for his love and his mercy. If you believe it, give glory to the one who saved you.

So, it's time to use our weapons. I think we are seeing that we are in a dimension where there are struggles, there are tests, there are things that are coming against us that sometimes we do not understand why, and this human mind sometimes would like, brothers, to react humanely, but we can understand that our battle is not a carnal battle.

The Bible says that we do not fight against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers that roam in the air. Unfortunately, there is a major crisis, brothers, a major crisis where the believer sometimes loses strength, loses his position as a child of God and one of the great tricks of the enemy of our souls, to make you feel that you are alone, that God already it is not with you, that you cannot, and sometimes brothers, there comes defeat, confusion, what is not clear.

How many of you have felt like this that you are sometimes confused? Raise your hand those who are sincere. There's no one confused this morning, right? That is the Latino pride that everything is fine, how are you? Fine, but inside the heart we are crying. But thank God that God sees beyond the appearance, he sees the heart. How many say glory to God for it?

So, this major crisis, brothers, sometimes it is because we do not know what we have or we have forgotten what God has given us and we have a warehouse, a warehouse, a huge arsenal of weapons that sometimes we do not use as we should and each army has air weapons, ground weapons, water weapons. There are different ones, now there are lasers, missiles, nuclear weapons, there are bombs, there is dynamite, now it is no longer just a battle, let's say, there are many justified or profound, internal weapons that some of us don't even know about.

Now there are planes that fly alone, they don't need a human pilot, there are planes that control them in another way, with sensors. But thank God that the Christian also has his spiritual weapons. Someone say glory to God for these weapons. And I am going to mention a few although we would need several sermons for each of these weapons.

What would we say about the first weapon that is the word of God. How many love the word of God? This word that is a two-edged sword, this word that is the hammer that breaks the stone, this word that is the bread of life, this word that is the water of life, this word that is a consuming fire, this word has power. How many believe him give him glory for his word. And I could, brothers, preach several series on this, because the word is something powerful and you have to learn to use the word.

The second weapon is faith. What did we say about faith, this is an atomic bomb that moves mountains. Let's see, ask your brother if he moved a mountain this morning. I wish it wasn't the wife, right there is power in faith. How many know that there is power in faith, brothers? I said there is power in faith. Faith moves mountains. Unfortunately faith sometimes we don't know how to use it. It's no use having faith if you don't use it, brother. And you don't need a lot of faith, the Bible says that a grain of mustard, some want a bucket, a truck of faith, a truck, a bus, but thank God that the Lord says, you don't need a lot, just a little but use it, believe it, and he manifests himself, he honors the faith of his children.

The Lord took him, he saw many things, he saw the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, he left Lot and he saw many things. And then in his old age God gave him a promise, that he was going to give him a son. And his wife was old and she laughed, even by the way Isaac means, laugh because Sara didn't believe. I'm very old, I can't, but what God gives and promises, he fulfills. If you believe it, say amen.

But after he gave him the son, he asked him to sacrifice his son. How interesting this. He says that God told him, I want you to sacrifice your son and I will take you to a mountain, he did not give him the name of the mountain, I will show you where it will be. Walk three days, I see the number 3 for the tiolocos or theologians, the number 3 again. Three days on the road, imagine, Abraham knew that he was going to sacrifice his son. He was walking knowing that God had asked him for something profound. I believe that if God asks this of us, I would have already handed in the towel. I say, no sir, I'm not going. I'm staying, I'm sick and a thousand excuses. But imagine yourself walking with Isaac, walking, not like us, I think I was going to cry, Lord, why, why me, why did you choose me. You gave it to me and sometimes we reason with God as if God, but I know that Abraham was safe, because he says that his servants were going with him but when they arrived at the place that God showed him, and what did he say to them? Me and my son are going to go upstairs and we are going to come back.

What tremendous faith and then Isaac tells him, dad, where is the sacrifice. Here comes faith, brothers, it is a powerful weapon. What did Abraham tell him? Jehovah will provide. Jehovah will provide, but he said it before he went up the mountain because he knew that God even if he sacrificed his son, even if his son was burned there on the altar and there was ashes from that ashes God could raise him up and put him back in his hands. That is faith, that is a powerful weapon.

It's easy to cry victory after the battle is over. It's like one person said, we are tremendous, we had already won, I knew we were going to win. But what's up, why didn't they say anything before? It's easy, brothers, sometimes to talk but it's hard to believe. But that's a powerful weapon, and we'll talk about that another day.

What would we say about prayer? How many know that God hears prayer? How many prayed this morning? In the morning light. Said a brother who pastored a church, brother, I pray every night, I fall asleep and pray with the angels. I hope they don't pray that way here.

Prayer is a powerful weapon. Much prayer, much power. How many know that prayer has power, brothers? And prayer together with the word and faith, more powerful. And the other day we will talk about prayer.

Now, here's something that we don't like or this meat doesn't like, fasting. Everyone say fast. Fasting. How many like to fast, brothers? It is not noticeable. We are quite full. But sometimes this meat needs fasting. How many know that fasting is important, brothers? On one occasion the disciples wanted to cast out some demons and the Lord told them, this gender only with what? There are some situations that we are going to need fasting and prayer. And another day we will talk about it.

Worship and praise. How many rejoiced with the young people singing, brothers? I was already forgetting brothers, luckily I was 50, I was already beginning to dance and jump because adoration is powerful, let's love. How many rejoiced with praise, could feel the presence of God? Praise brings power, it brings joy. It says that the joy of the Lord is our strength. And praise is more powerful when you are in the midst of a struggle and a trial and you can sing, you can glorify God knowing that God is going to answer your request. Somebody give glory to God. It is a powerful martyrdom, an atomic bomb when you praise God and you cannot, there is no reason to praise God.

The next number 6 is a powerful weapon, the name of Jesus. Somebody say Jesus. Do you know what they are saying? The name of Jesus means God saves. On one occasion, you know, I was a missionary in Italy, this morning I gave testimony, each person who visited me in Italy, one thing he wanted first of all was for me to take him to Saint Peter's, the basilica, in Rome, we would go there and for true, brothers, for so many years that we went, they already knew us because we took a lot of people and in one of those tours that we went a man came and asked me, a very studious man asked me, he knew that we were missionaries and that we preached the Gospel and he told me, I want to ask you a question: why do you always pray in the name of Jesus? And brothers, you know, he already began to speak to me theologically, that sophrology, in the study of salvation, and that this branch and he already gave me a good explanation and then the Lord told me, ask him if he knows what the name means of the Jesus. And I said, excuse me, what does the name of Jesus mean? He was a little amazed and I said, well, the Bible says that it means God saves. He stayed with me and said, no, well, we pray to María and I told her well, it's that… and I gave the brothers homework in the morning, I'm going to give them the same, look to see what the name María means, and without no offense to the Marias because God blesses the Marias. But the name Mary has a meaning and the name Jesus also has a meaning that it is God saves. And that is why the Bible says over there in Ephesians, and in Philippians that he has given him a name that is above every name and every tongue will confess that he is Lord. And it also says in Acts that there is no other name given to men by which we can be saved. The name of Jesus has power. I said that the name of Jesus has power to heal, to liberate, to give new strength. That name has power, that name can change your life, that name can give you new strength. But how many of us know how to use that name.

The last weapon that I want to mention this morning, I say this afternoon, I am still on my way, the blood of Jesus. Number 7 that I want to mention and it is the one that I want to focus on for a few minutes. The blood of Jesus is a weapon many times we don't talk much anymore because we have already received salvation but in these days the Lord has been showing me, and if we want to enter a dimension of revival we have to return to the cross. I said we have to go back to the cross, to Jesus' sacrifice for us.

In First Peter 1:18 and 19 he says, "...you know that you were rescued from your vain way of life which you received from your fathers, not with corruptible things like gold or silver, 19 says, but with blood precious of Christ as of a lamb without blemish and without spot..."

The enemy of our souls, he does not want you to understand, or have the knowledge of what is the blood of Christ that was shed on the cross. And in the study of sophrology you realize that there is a need to understand this so that no one is going to take away the position that you have as a child of God. That is the problem that some walk away from God because they do not understand their position as children of God.

And I would like, brothers, as I say if you, I will try to be short but precise to the point, I will get to the point. In the Old Testament we see there in Chapter 3 of Genesis, you can read with the second task, you can read the whole Chapter and you have to find the meaning of Mary and in Chapter 3 you are going to realize that something that happened when God created the first Adam and Eve, and they sinned even though they blame the woman, that Eve convinced Adam but Adam also ate of that fruit and disobeyed, and the Bible says that they found themselves naked and moved away, they hid. Sin makes man hide from God, move away, they moved away, they wanted to hide. And another interesting thing that they did, it says, they made covers with fig leaves, they made tunics, they wanted to cover themselves with tree leaves. That the human element, they wanted with their own strength to cover themselves from the shame they felt. Sin makes you walk away from God.

But we see there in the same Chapter that God made tunics of skin and there we see that this skin came from some little animals that had to shed blood and the Bible tells us that without shedding blood there is no remission or forgiveness of sins. We see there the first one, in Genesis, that there was bloodshed and God did not want them to cover themselves with fig leaves but he brought the skins and made them tunics. It says there that Jehovah made them those robes and covered them with those robes. And later you can read that word of separation or hide that the word death which means separation. We also see it in Romans 6:23 where it says, because the wages of sin is separation, separation from whom? From God, more, what does he say? But the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. How many knows that there is eternal life in Christ Jesus? Give it a round of applause if you have received that eternal life. To his name glory and honor for that precious salvation.

Now, that word death, sin separates us, we die if we commit sin but the blood of Christ says that it brings us closer to God and we are going to talk a little about this. Let's also see there in Exodus, Chapter 12 in verse 7 before the people left Egypt, after the plagues, the last plague of the death of the firstborn humans and animals, God told them in Chapter 12, verse 7, taking some of the blood and they will put it on the two posts and on the lintel of the houses where they will eat it, speaking of the lamb that they were going to kill without spot and without blemish. And then it says 13, Exodus 12:13, the blood oh will be a sign in the houses where you are, I will see the blood and I will pass by before you and there will be no death, there will be no plague of mortality in you when it wounds the land of Egypt.

There we see that the blood was a sign of protection from death. How many know that the blood of Christ protects them from death? Now, we must learn to use this blood in our lives. The devil is a thief, how many knew that the devil is a thief, brothers? John 10:10 says that the thief does not come except for what? Steal or rob, kill and destroy….

Say it with me, steal, kill and destroy, but he says, and I have not come so that you may have life and you may have life in what? Galore. The devil wants to steal or steal, he wants to kill and he wants to destroy, that is the devil's job. And unfortunately sometimes the church is not prepared, the believers are not prepared when the devil comes to steal the petitions. How many know that the devil wants to steal your health? How many sick are there this afternoon? Be honest, how many know that Christ can heal you? It touched my heart, I was praying for an old man in the first service, an old man I met at the hospital where I work, we didn't even know he came here, but my wife attended him, we talked to him. It turns out that he is from Peru, an old man who takes the bus and has two or three hours to come to the service here, and he has to leave, he comes to the service early and then he goes to the bus where he lives. And brothers, I met him and he has been struggling with his eyesight and this morning he came forward and we prayed for him and as soon as he saw my daughter he said, and God healed me. That is faith, brothers. When someone can proclaim with their heart that Christ has healed them. How many knows that there is power in the blood of Christ for healing? He washed away our diseases.

So the devil wants to steal your health, he wants to kill you, destroy you by attacking your health, your body. There are chronic diseases but thank God that there is also power in the name of Jesus to heal those diseases. Christ heals. If you believe it, give a round of applause to the one who healed you and to the one who is going to heal you. He is your healer, Jehovah Rafa, he is your healer and your savior. Someone said glory to God. Somebody shout glory to God.

Marriage brothers, there you go. How many God does not want to destroy marriage? Raise your hands those who know this. Believe it or not, the devil is behind all marriages, and not just those of young people, old people also fall in love. But the Lord wants us to understand that the blood of Christ can protect our brotherly marriage. Sometimes we do not understand what is happening in our marriage but we need to learn to defend ourselves when the devil wants to steal our marriage, he wants to kill and destroy us but thank God that Christ wants to unite and help marriages. How many say amen? If you have your… right there, give him a little hug, give him a little kiss and say thank you to God for you. They look good, like this hugging. Mine is over there, my Paloma is over there, but she knows that I love her very much, but I have to tell her. There go the marriages. How many know that it is necessary, brothers, that the blood of Christ protect marriages? Because, brothers, the devil walks like a roaring lion and sometimes brothers, he wants to steal that love that we have.

An old man told me once and this is just in brackets, an 80-year-old old man told me, look, I want to tell you something, pastor. There at work, I already worked, that's why sometimes we have to learn to become retired because my brother worked, for almost 80 years and he says that there was a woman there of about 40, he says, a girl of about 40 and a pastor brother I'll go to to say something, God put her in my path. He had already forgotten about the 50-year-old lady that she was, that she had put up with him for 50 years and I said, no, brother, don't let the devil get in there. God did not put it on you, it is the other who wants to steal those years of happiness that God has given you. Be careful, brothers, the devil is after your marriage. Somebody say, glory to God. Someone say, the blood of Christ protect my marriage.

Next, the family. We are seeing a rebellion of children against parents. Last Sunday they talked about the restoration. God bless those who have small children, he said in the morning, in Italy they say bambino picolo, why picolo. Bambino grande o groso, why groso. That is to say, when children are small there are small problems, but when they grow up there are also big problems. And sometimes brothers, the children already want to tell them, my mother used to say, when the ducks shoot the shotgun, when Gilberto wanted to tell him more than necessary. My mom was a short woman but full of the Holy Spirit. When she said something, if we are three big men, bigger than me, my brothers, but when she said, I dedicated you to God, you have to honor me because the word of God says. And brothers, we got off.

But there is a rebellion, how many have seen that there is a rebellion in some young people? Not all, God bless the youth who are seeking God, but there is a rebellion in the world. How many have seen these people who rebel? He was telling me the other day, I looked where I work, and a young girl of about 15 years old arrived and she was wearing everything, earrings everywhere, she was wearing earrings on her feet, on her…., she was about 10, there was no more space, and everywhere and brought up to a large circle here, it looked like a bull, a cow, but she... there you go brothers? And out of curiosity, professionalism, I told him, oh, that looks nice, very nice. And then he told me, you don't want, let me tell you something, just like a man he spoke, but it was very small but a loud voice came out. You know, what I have all these, … all these piercings, you want to see some more? I said, no, no, wait a minute. And he tells me, because I'm a rebellious letting the world know and I can take pain. And I said to myself, how sad. And the mother was on one side and she said, I am not going to mention her name due to regulations, but the mother said, why don't you be quiet. And he told his mom, shut up, mom!

And I felt in my heart, brothers, I said, if that was me, I would have raised my teeth far away. But there is rebellion, brothers. How many say amen? Some are laughing but some are struggling with their children. They yell at them sometimes. Now our children want to tell us, it makes me laugh because sometimes they want to tell us, my son Gilberto tells me, because he is my driver, dad, you don't know how to drive. I mean, son, I have more years than you have of driving life. I even drive with my eyes closed. And he says, dad, that's why I need to be the one to drive. And he wants a Mercedes A Class to drive me around.

But it is that children sometimes, brothers, do not understand that it is the devil who wants to rob them of the blessing of honoring their parents. I am going to tell you something: there is a blessing, I am here because a mother and a father instilled in me. My mother says, when I was in her womb, she prayed for me, she wanted to dedicate my three brothers to me, they are pastors, because she dedicated them to God. And brothers, he also disciplined us and now, time out. It's a better method, no, you don't have to discipline. But the Bible talks about washing those other messages. But I'm already leaving. And some young people are watching with eyes of rebellion.

We talk about finances. Everyone say finance. Everyone say blessing to finances. How many want more blessing in finances? We must also apply the blood in our finances, we are about to embark on a large construction project, but I want to tell you something, if we learn to put the blood of Christ in our finances, in the aspect of knowledge, of understanding, the devil wants to rob me, he wants destroy what God has given me, but when I apply the blood of Christ to my finances there will be a blessing, brothers. How many believe this with all their hearts?

I was telling you this morning and my wife was not present, she was in discipleship and I dared to say this, and I am going to have to say it now if she is present, because she is going to hear it on the Internet anyway. But I was saying these days, as you know, we came from California, from San Diego, an area where there is no cold. It's 70 degrees there most of the year. Brother Greg knows that area a little there. San Diego is beautiful, we were fine there, God had blessed us. God had given us a very prosperous church, by the way, we were happy.

But God brought us here to support my daughter in her studies and siblings, well, we came like who says, we sold everything, we got into the cars, I told the brothers that I bought her a convertible Mustang, a GT Ford Mustang to my daughter when she graduated high school, the San Diego-style convertible. Very happy, there we came from California with our convertibles. And brothers, the first snow that fell, the neighbor came and told me, those cars don't work here and I came with a... those big ones, brothers, tires, 20” wheels, but it was rear-wheel drive. It was also useless…. And then my son had a Toyota also with rear-wheel drive, a troque, and the old man came, the old man by the way respectfully told me, those cars are no good here, they're for California. Get rid of them. And well, we already had to sell. We arrived with 3 cars, we sold them, and he told me, buy a Landrover. I went there and bought a Landrover of those that can go straight up and thank God that car was a blessing because everyone got stuck, I learned that you need a good snowmobile.

But what I want to say is that sometimes we lose all hope in our finances, God we were renting… our idea was to come support Adriana, she graduated, she went to medical school, and we returned to sunny California, here we come . But God in his plans told us, it is what you want but I have another blessing for you. And brothers, well we are going to be two years old and last month we were able to buy our house here, because our first house, my daughter and my wife prayed and we want if we go we want a house. But I told them, there is a crisis, right now we cannot.

And sometimes, brothers, finances are an area where the devil steals a lot of blessings from us. And my wife with a lot of faith said, women are tremendous, brothers, when they use faith it is something tremendous. But God can help us, honey, and then when they call you honey, forget it, we melt. Ok, right. And I told her, well, and she says, I want a single family home, I mean, Carmen, you're not in California, everyone here is multifamily, apartments, everyone lives. It is that here is the city. And she told me, but I want a single family home with two bathrooms, Sister Mercedes, I didn't want a bathroom, I wanted two bathrooms. And with 4, a room for each, an office for you. Sometimes we get cracked but thank God that the blood of Christ has power. There is, I don't know how it happened but when I least remembered I already had a 4-bedroom house, with two bathrooms, with a basement and 5 family rooms, with a fence even for the dog, because they want a dog too. How many know that God blesses finances? I said that God blesses finances.

O God gave me the new house, we moved on the first of October and like a good lady, said honey, we already have a new house now new furniture. But the bag is very bad, honey, Carmen. What are we going to do? I believe that God can help us. Women become powerful when they want something. How good is this. And well, I told her, look, there is a crisis, honey, we just moved, there are many needs. And me, brothers, trying to get rid of the parchi but, well, God bless that one day the furniture arrived, and not just the kitchen, first it was just a dining room set, because when we least agreed there are new couches, there are new sofas , there is a desk, there is a dining room set and everything is new because they did not want anything used because God makes new things, he says.

Then, brothers, the children are also learning to use faith. And apply the blood of Christ because my son Aaron told me, the youngest but the biggest, let's see Aaron stand up, look this is my child, that is my baby. He is 15 years old and is already playing Barcity football for…. High. They are going to see him, they are already recruiting him at Boston College, in North Carolina and one day he will not go to work anymore. But God bless Aarón and my other son Giliberto who is working, by the way. They said, dad, mom got the furniture, we have furniture, we have everything, I want a big screen, one of those plasma TVs, with…. And playstation, and wifi. And well, brothers, thank God, he told me, dad I have a little money, well to make a long story short, we already have a new house, new furniture, new television, new furniture and brothers, I told my wife, the person who sold us the furniture there in the furniture store told us, there is a crisis, Mr. Sabano, why don't you stop, buy one thing at a time. But my wife says, I know that God is going to help us. He has always helped us. That is when you are sure of your position, the world says something, but Christ has given you faith and hope.

Some husbands are looking at me badly. They say, why is he preaching like this. Because women are going to ask for new furniture. But no, brothers, it is not the furniture, it is the faith, the security, the position of the son of God and the blood of Christ has bought us. The Lord says that he has redeemed us, he has rescued us. When we talk about the blood of Jesus there are three very important words. Say it with me, the first is propitiation. say it. One more time. The second is the atonement. And the third is redemption.

Let's see say, propitiation, which means that the Lord has reconciled, has paid, has stopped anger. Listen to me well, the blood of Christ has redeemed us in such a way that sin separates us from God but the blood has stopped the wrath of God and says that the word atonement means to erase guilt through a sacrifice. So it means that we were condemned to death but through the blood of Christ we passed from death to life. And now that we are in life we have certain privileges, God has redeemed us, he has rescued us.
