Summary: The TV show "Diary of a Vampire" has a rule that vampires can't enter a house without permission. This is like sin trying to enter our temple, which is our body, and we have the power to allow or deny it. We must remember that all sins have consequences and we should strive for holiness. We must take care of our temple's door and ask God for wisdom to make good decisions. Appearances can be deceiving, so we must be discerning.
They are showing on television a series that has become very popular, especially among young people, it is called "Diary of a vampire" and among the characteristics of the vampire characters there is one that has caught my attention: No vampire can cross the threshold of the front door of a house without the owner's authorization. This is significant when we consider that vampires have always been demonic creatures, although now they are trying to create "good vampires", which is just one more spawn of the human mind, as imperfect as vampires themselves are.
We are the temple of the Living God. We are the temple of his Holy Spirit. We were sanctified by the precious blood of His beloved Son. Every temple has a door and we are the ones who allow or deny entry.
Sin is like the vampires in history, he tries to enter our temple and it is up to us to allow his entrance or not. Sometimes sins come with beautiful faces, things that are appetizing for the flesh, however, we must bear in mind that we are not living in the flesh, but in the spirit and that that spirit that guides us to all truth is constantly dealing with us and He convicts us when we commit a transgression.
To console ourselves we try to convince ourselves that sins can be great or small. It is not like that, in the end they all have the same measure and they all have consequences for our life. The enemy wants us to think that "peccadillos" exist, especially when it comes to our Holiness, there are only capital letters, because we are trying to imitate a Holy God, not a "vampire" and that should be very clear in our minds and in our hearts.
Let's take good care of the door of our temple, because when a “vampire” settles in, it is more than difficult to expel him, because he begins to become powerful and diminish our will until it is consumed. We thank God who gave us free will, but beware, this freedom of decision is a risk when it is not used properly, so we need to ask God for a lot of wisdom to be able to handle it.
Let's not be fooled, appearances can be deceiving. Let us know how to discover the stone under the appearance of a diamond.
