Summary: In Numbers, Chapter 12, Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses, their brother, who had been placed in authority over Israel by God. They questioned his authority and why he had taken a non-Israelite wife. God takes rebellion against authority seriously and blesses meekness and humility. God spoke directly to Moses and saw him as faithful in all His house. Miriam was instantly covered in leprosy as a result of her rebellion, and Moses interceded for her. The Bible emphasizes the importance of authority, including the authority of parents. The sermon stresses the need to submit to authority and live under it.
The universe and the spiritual world are governed by the principle of authority, and all sin and tragedy in the world are born of rebellion and disobedience. The physical world, including the planets and the human body, is governed by physical laws that are authoritative. The spiritual world, including angels and demons, is also governed by hierarchies and levels of authority. Rebellion against authority is exalted in modern culture, but submission to authority is necessary for a harmonious society and for the church to function properly. All evil in the world comes from acts of rebellion and disobedience, including the rebellion of Lucifer, the origins of Satan.
The sermon discusses the importance of submitting to authority, as rebellion and disobedience lead to corruption and harm in human life. Even imperfect authorities should be respected, and any issues should be addressed through dialogue and meekness. The sermon emphasizes the beauty of submission to authority and encourages the congregation to live according to God's principles.
Numbers, Chapter 12 and I want to speak so that you take the passage, the text that I want to interpret. I want to talk about authority, about life under authority, and this sermon is a continuation of last Sunday's sermon on obedience. You can actually see, you see the connection.
Many times one preaches things and half of the sermon remains, because one does not want to be excessive in what one is going to preach, but in reality this is a continuation of the message that I carried out last Sunday. So it is very tied to the concept of obedience and I title this message 'submission to authority'.
'Submission to authority', that's what I want to speak about this morning and the concept of authority, of spiritual authority and we need to need and flow, and live under authority.
This idea that we must live, move, and live under authority. It seems a rather subtle concept but I hope I can make it clearer through this message and it is precisely what I propose.
Numbers, Chapter 12 says there: “... Miriam and Aaron, Aaron was the brother of Moses, by the way and Maria was his sister too. They were brothers of Moses. “... Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses, look there at the beginning of the violation of an authority. Moses had been placed in authority over Israel and although Miriam and Aaron were Moses' brothers there was his spiritual authority, which God had assigned to him.
Then, “...they spoke against Moses because of the Hussite woman who had taken ...because he had taken a Hussite woman. What is a Hussite woman? Well, it is a tribe that was not Israelite. Imagine the Hebrews are in the desert, they have left Egypt, they are in their 40 years of pilgrimage in the desert and Moses marries a woman who is not from the tribe of Israel, she is from another tribe. I don't know if it's from the Husa tribe, and that's why they call it Hussite. The fact is that we are not sure, I am not sure if Moses had committed a sin with that. It doesn't seem like that. God had prohibited the Israelites from marrying pagan people, but the comments that I have read indicate that there is division. The commentators are not sure about it. Some say no, that what he did was not bad at all. Others say that possibly he forced things a little there by taking a woman who was not from the tribe of Israel.
The case was that there is an action here, perhaps a little doubtful that lends itself to questioning, perhaps Aaron and Maria was offended that he didn't marry one of the tribe of Israel, they were upset by that, maybe they thought, hey, he should set an example, he is the leader and he should marry a woman from Israel so as not to set a bad example. And I take a moment to talk about this because it seems that there was a little bit of doubt about it, but even so, look at what happens, what he does is even more dramatic, this need to live under authority, to respect the authorities that God has constituted, because this is important, I want to develop that clearly.
“...and then they said, 'Only through Moses has Jehovah spoken, has he not also spoken through us?...”
In other words what are they saying here? They're saying, hey, he's not the only one God uses, God can use us too. They are questioning, they are saying that this man is subverting authority, this man is monopolizing authority and we also have God's anointing, we also have the Holy Spirit, why can't we also do things in Israel. What happens many times? We question, I believe very much in the priesthood of each believer, brothers, every day more, I believe that the Holy Spirit uses his people, the smallest has the anointing of God. Furthermore, I believe that the health of a church depends on the people being given the authority to speak, minister, evangelize, preach, teach, and that pastors are blessed to the extent that we share authority with others. How many can say amen to that? Every day I am more and more convinced of that.
But I think that the problem here was not so much that principle, it was the heart of Miriam and Aaron, there was a bit of rebellion in them. They know that Israel was a rebellious people. Look up the word servis, which means neck, horse, horse's neck, in the concordance and you will see how many times God calls Israel a people of hard servis, that is, hard neck, it does not allow itself to be turned anywhere, they have it right hard, no one can subdue it. And in the course of the history of Israel in the desert many times when the Hebrews rebelled against Moses, they rebelled against God, against the authority of Moses and God above all, with disastrous, terrible consequences. And this is one of the cases, which, as I tell you, I could have chosen many other cases like this, because the entire Bible is full of this concept of subjecting ourselves to superior authorities.
Again, I want to clarify that a lot, I want to qualify it a lot because this is a very sensitive matter.
“...Then they said, 'Only through Moses has Jehovah spoken, has he not also spoken through us? - and what happened? It says,-... and Jehovah heard it... in other words, God noticed that rebellious attitude of Aaron and Miriam and took note of it. God, brothers, let me tell you something where there is a rebellious heart, where there is a heart not subject to authority, where there is a heart raging against authority, be it civil authority, police, political or civil government, be it fathers and mothers, a child vis a vis his father and his mother, be a worker vis a vis the authority of the people who are in authority over them in a workplace, be it the wife with respect to her husband, or the husband who abuses his authority, wherever there is a violation of the concept of authority because the husband has to submit to God, yes or no? And if the husband is violating, if he is abusing his authority, then he is violating the authority that is over him, which is the authority of God and of the word. You see? If the authority is something that goes from top to bottom, descending. Everyone is under authority, I was looking for a passage in Scripture that says just that, even over the king there is one above him. You see? The only one who has no authority over him is who? God, the Father, because the Son submits to the Father.
and there is a very nice passage that perhaps I will have the opportunity to share with you regarding this, but the authority everyone has an authority and God takes very seriously when a person rebels against that principle of authority.
Then he says, “... Jehovah heard it. Interestingly, it says here in verse 3, and that man Moses was very meek more than all the men that were on earth...”
Why does the Holy Spirit put that there? Because I believe that God blesses meekness and God judges rebellion and arrogance. What's more, I believe that no one can be a true leader and here we all have a little room, to the extent that we submit to authority and are meek, the more meek and humble, the more God can use us. Meekness is blessed, meekness, humility, subjection God looks at it in a very positive way. I want to get ahead of the sermon so I'm going to leave it there but I'm going to come back to that point. I think the meekness of Moses is pointed out here because it contrasts with the rebelliousness and arrogance of Aaron and Miriam.
God chose Moses for a reason. Now, look at many times the disobedience of the people led Moses to commit things, because sometimes rebellion hurts the leaders. Once we see in Scripture that Moses hit a rock in anger that God had told him simply speak to it, because he was already fed up with the rebellion of the people. And that act of exasperation on the part of Moses, which was led to it by the rebellion of the people, cost Moses not to enter the promised land.
Let us be careful, brothers, not to take our leaders, take our authorities to a point of exasperation. Just as those of us in authority, let's be careful not to exasperate those who are under our authority. The Bible says, parents, do not exasperate your children. You see that this is a chain, it is a circle where everyone has their part to play in holding on to something or someone.
The fact is that Moses was a meek and humble man of heart and God saw that with benevolence and with complacency. Then it says here:
“...then Jehovah said to Moses, Aaron and Miriam, you three go out to the tent of meeting, he called the three to chapter, Moses said, come, and Aaron and Miriam come here, report to yourselves the three. Let's go outside, I want to talk to you.
“... and the three of them came out, verse 5, then Jehovah descended in the pillar of the cloud....., rather his spirit descended, not perhaps his voice, his presence, it is not that God got off with some thugs there to talk to them, no. That is, they heard the voice of God, they heard the spirit of God.
“... and he stood at the door of the tabernacle and called Aaron and Miriam and they both went out and he said to them, now hear my words.. .”
When God tells you so you better pay attention right? "...now hear my words, when there is a prophet of the Lord among you I will appear to him in a vision, in a dream I will speak with him.."
in other words, I am going to speak to him indirectly in a vision, or in a dream , "...not so with my servant Moses, who is faithful in all my house, face to face I will speak with him and clearly not by figure..."
In other words, this man that you have there, to I speak directly to this man, I respect him so much and value his leadership so much that I speak to him face to face. Don't ask me to fully explain why I can't conceive of God speaking to him, but the Bible says that Moses was in the very presence of God and saw God when this happened to him, but it says that he only saw their backs. I believe that when God says here, face to face, he means in other words I speak directly to him. I don't have to go through a dream in your psyche, in your mind, or a symbolic vision. No, I speak to him clearly, directly with words understandable to him.
“...and he will see the appearance of Jehovah. Why, then, were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?...."
In other words, given the value that I assign to this man, to this leader, why did you not have respect and they began to talk behind their backs.
“..then the anger of the Lord was kindled against them and he left and the cloud moved away from the tabernacle. And behold, Mary was leprous like snow..." Instantly Mary became totally leprous, she covered herself with leprosy.
Now don't ask me why poor Mary was the only one who paid the price for this, and not also Aaron, the poor women always. I think that... that's why many times people have difficulty interpreting the word of God and assign other types of values to the Bible in order to explain it according to their own schemes.
I believe that Mary was the leader, I suspect that this is why God judged her, not because she was a woman but because she was Mary. Why do I think that? First, because it is the one that remains and God is very clear and very fair in things. But how interesting that in the Chapter it says, Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses. Why perhaps he would not have said Aaron and Miriam better? Aaron had much more authority than Miriam, he was a priest. I suspect that Maria had something to do with this and was perhaps the instigator of all this. Again, not because she was a woman but because in that case she was the one who carried the....and she carried..
She says, when God departs she was completely covered in leprosy. “.... And Aaron said to Moses, ah, my Lord, do not put this sin on us now because we have acted foolishly and we have sinned. Don't be left now like the one who is stillborn who, when leaving his mother's womb, has already half-consumed her flesh. Then Moses cried out to Jehovah saying, I pray, O God, that you heal her now...”
Look here at the goodness of Moses, instead of saying, well, let it happen to him. Sometimes you kind of want to say an imprecatory psalm there and shoot people who harass you, right? But no, no, Moses goes and Moses did that several times. Moses interceded for the people several times in which God was going to destroy them for their rebellion and Moses, Lord, don't do it, please, give him one more chance, etc. and here it says:
“Moses goes and cries, says, I pray, O God, heal her now, and Jehovah answered Moses, for if father had spit in his face, would he not be ashamed for seven days? Be kicked out of the camp for 7 days and then return to the congregation…”
Why? Because a person with leprosy could never be among the people, they were cast out. Then he said, if she had offended her father, and her father had spit on her... these are, remember brothers, we are talking about biblical schemes. One of the things that impresses me from the Scriptures is from Genesis to Revelation, this idea of authority, the authority of the parents for example. It's one of the things that, well, I'm getting a little ahead of myself but, brothers, let me tell you, God breeds in me every day a sense of weight on the young generation and their lack of respect for their parents. And I believe that God's judgment is on that generation unless they do not repent of their attitude towards their parents.
And if you allow me to speak as a prophet at this moment, I speak to you like this, because part of what I have to say is in a prophetic spirit as I did last Sunday as well. And I believe that the heart of God is offended with this generation for its lack of respect for the father and mother. And if they want to be healed, they will have to learn to submit to their fathers and mothers. The first parent is the Heavenly Father and from there on down. This is a terrible thing I'm saying, I ask the Lord to search my heart and spare me from speaking a single word in this sermon that is with some kind of root of bitterness, but I know what I'm talking about. And I'm preaching this sermon in the same spirit that I preached last Sunday because I know that God has a thing for these things and that in order for God to use his church and God to bless the nations, we first have to settle the matter of authority. The curse of this generation and this society is their rebellion, their inability to submit to anything and their questioning of all things that have to do with authority.
Then God tells Moses, well, if she had offended to her father and her father had spit on her, wouldn't she have to be ashamed for 7 days out of the congregation? So I'm going to listen to you, but she's going to be a leper for 7 days. And then he will return to the congregation. Maria was thrown out of the camp for 7 days and the people did not move forward until Maria joined them. She put up with the Hebrew people.
They know that they were walking around in the desert, they would stop, go to another place and so on. They had to put up with 7 days while poor Mary was out there healing herself and after 7 days God healed her and then, in discipline, then he brought her back into communion with her people.
“.. and then the people He left Acerot and camped in the desert of Paran..."
You see the seriousness, brothers, of subjection to authority. But I want to elaborate on this a bit more. Now, first point I want to make here: the universe is governed by principles of authority. The physical world, the cosmos, the planets, the seas, matter itself is governed by principles of authority. The human body is governed by the principle of authority. This is called the physical laws, the laws of biology, of chemistry, of physics, but it is the same, it is authority.
Look at Psalm 104, so that you understand this because it is something new, this idea that the universe itself is governed by authoritative principles. I want to go from the physical to other aspects. Look at what Psalm 104 says, beginning in verse 5, he says, speaking of God, he founded the earth on its foundations, it will never be moved with the abyss as you covered it with clothing, on the mountains were the waters, at your rebuke they fled, at the sound of your thunder they hastened.
The psalmist is anthropomorphizing, it is a simile, a comparison of nature as if it were a man, subjecting himself to the authority of whoever creates it.
At your rebuke they fled , at the sound of your thunder they rushed, look at what verse 8 says here, this is the most important and 9, they climbed the mountains, descended the valleys to the place that you founded them, you put an end to them which they will not cross or return to cover the earth.
God set terms for them, He set boundaries for the sea, for the valleys and He tells them, you have to stick to what I establish for you, to the laws to which I subject and submit you.
You see, the planets revolve around their orbits, because there is a law, which is called the law of gravity that holds the planets to an elliptical motion, not circular. The planets want to get out and fly but the attraction of other things, other bodies, keeps them and that wanting to get out, and the attraction makes them turn continuously, interestingly.
But the physical universe is governed by laws, authority that God has established. Now, the spiritual world, my second point, is also governed by the principle of authority. In Scripture we see that there are angels, archangels, seraphim, the Bible speaks of an elder, 24 elders before the throne of God, the Bible speaks of principalities and powers, there are rulers of darkness. The demon world has different levels. There are extremely powerful demons that rule nations, regions, cities, there are other demons that are simply demons of evil, very localized and very small and sometimes even stupid and stupid, but they are demons too and have their own specialty. But there are demons that rule over large numbers of other demons.
What are they called, when Christ is asked, demons to those who are on the altar, what is your name? Legion says because we are many. A Roman legion was a group that played by very, very well run rules. So the spiritual world is governed by hierarchies, levels of authority. The Lord Jesus Christ himself says that he is subject to the Father. Christ says, I do nothing if not what I hear from my Father. and the Lord was always subject and is subject to the Father.
Look at what First Corinthians says, Chapter 15, I am now speaking of the spiritual world, I spoke of the physical world, now I want to speak of the spiritual world that is also governed by principles of authority. Chapter 15, verse 22, says
"... because as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive, but each one in his due order, God is a God of order, Christ, the firstfruits, then those who belong to Christ at his coming, then the end, when he hands over the kingdom to God and Father, when he has abolished all dominion, all authority and power..."
In other words, God is not going to rest in his redemptive work until the smallest and greatest demon are subject to his authority, until all presidents acknowledge that he is God, until all nations submit to his feet, until matter itself that is in rebellion with God, hold on to God too. Everything, until every principle of authority, every thought is not taken captive to the Father, God will not rest, he will not be calm.
So it says here, “,.... and the last enemy that will be destroyed it is death, says 27, because he subjected all things under his feet and when he says that all things have been subjected to him, he clearly excepts the one who subjected all things to him. In other words, God gets out of that chain of authority because he is the one who subjects all things.
Look at what verse 28 says, a beautiful verse, it says, “...but after all things are subject to him then also the Son himself will submit to the one who subjected all things to him so that God may be all in all...”
What a precious passage. When the Lord has done his executive work of submitting everything under his lordship, then he will take his crown and hand it over to the Father and say, you reign now, I have already done my part, and now I submit to you too. What a beautiful image.
Brothers, why? Because the principle of authority is something very, very powerful and reigns and that is why one knows how to function according to the principles that govern the universe and the spiritual world is so important and in many ways people have forgotten this generation teach their children, this society has forgotten to teach submission to authority, quite the opposite, today, the idea of questioning authority is exalted. Yes or no? Every so often I'm driving around on the highway and I bump into one of those car posters, it says, question authority, question authority. Today, that is more what is preached, questioning authority. Today it is seen as a virtue and as a sign of sophistication and strength and emotional vigor to question authority, yes or no? Go to any university in the United States and you will see that the principle of questioning authority is something that is continually emphasized. In schools, questioning authority is emphasized and that is why many times when our children arrive home, how can we expect them to submit to their parents.
Do you know something, brothers? That through the centuries cultures have depended on an entire system of reinforcement so that children are subject to parents. Unfortunately today, there are a few small groups of entities that preach subjection to parental authority and generally we are fighting against a whole cultural system that undoes with our feet what we try to do with our hands. So that is why it is so difficult many times, because before the whole system cooperated, the son heard the same thing at school, in church, on the street, in the neighborhood, in the community media that there was, everything said, respect others. your father, honor your fathers. Children's literature, adult literature, everything emphasized that principle, respect for authority. That has changed radically, especially here in the United States and later with all its sequel, in Europe, especially since the 1960s, with all this rebellion and rebellion that came to spread in modern culture.
The rebellion has come to exalt as a governing principle of society. And our children drink that milk. One of the things I appreciate about the Catholic church is its understanding of authority. They may have many errors and many things, but there is a concept of authority that I believe has allowed this institution to exist for two thousand years. There is respect for the authority of the priest, the bishop, the cardinal, the pope and I have seen that a person who is a good Catholic is generally a good evangelical, even better evangelical because they learn what the principle is of authority.
Many times in the churches, Protestantism, with its exaltation of the priesthood of each believer, has thrown away the baby with the dirty water, as we say, and has gone behind simply questioning, dividing, everyone has authority, each church is an authority for itself, nobody respects anyone, there is no direction in the church and we are all like each one went their own way, we are scattered.
And let me tell you something, listen to it whether you want to believe it or not, I know that God is not going to do anything like he wants to do on this earth until the church of Jesus Christ unites in authority, until the church does not flow under principles of apostolic authority. I don't know how that's going to happen, but it's going to have to happen, because that's the only way God can work through his people. A church speaking one thing under determined authority and directed and blessed and illuminated by God, and the people have to submit. Churches have to hold themselves to spiritual authority.
And again, I do qualify that a lot and I will at some point, but again, I don't get ahead of a lot of things. This is deep, as I speak I realize that it would take a couple of sermons perhaps to elucidate all this, but I am giving you something very important, I am giving you spiritual steak, brothers, not because it is me but because it is the word of God that he says so.
If you listen to him, you will be blessed, if you rebel against what I am telling you, you will be prosecuted, I tell you with all the affection and love of a father. my heart, God knows, there is nothing bitter in what I am saying at this moment, but a great desire to bless each one of you and my own life as well.
So, this is important, how beautiful, the son is subject to the father after taking what was rebellious against God and delivers it to the Father and he then gets into the package too and is subject and greets the Father.
The universe is governed by the principle of authority, the spiritual world is governed by the principle of authority, third, all the sin and tragedy in the world are born of rebellion and disobedience. All your headaches, brothers, the collision that you suffered there when you were going to park that hit the steel column in front of you, the trip that occurred at night when you were walking in the dark with the big toe, all this is due to a sin that happened thousands of years ago. All the evil in the world comes from acts of rebellion and disobedience.
The first, do you know what it is? You will say, Adam and Eve, do you know which one was the first before that? who knows how many thousands of years before, when Lucifer, Lucifer, the most powerful and greatest archangel that God had created rebelled against his creator.
Go with me for a moment to Isaiah 14, am I still boring you, brothers? Ok, let's go to Isaiah Chapter 14, beginning with verse 12. These are very important things, I don't know if I'm going to finish it all, but it's okay, I'm going to work on what I can and we'll see if God allows me to go further. .
Isaiah Chapter 14, verse 12. Many scholars of Scripture, with a lot of spiritual understanding, assure that this passage definitely refers to Satan, to the origins of the devil himself. look at what it says here, Chapter 14, verse 12:
“...As you fell from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning - there is no man to whom this can refer - .... you were cut by earth, you who weakened the nations, you who said in your heart, I will ascend to heaven on high next to the stars of God, I will lift up my throne and on the mountain of testimony I will sit on the sides of the north on the heights of the I will ascend clouds and be like the Most High, but you are brought down to Sheol, on the sides of the abyss. Those who see you will lean towards you, they will contemplate you saying, is this the man who made the earth tremble, who turned kingdoms upside down, who made the world like a desert, who devastated its cities, who never opened jail for his prisoners? ?
The passage is long, and there are other complementary passages to this one in the Scriptures that speak clearly of that wonderful being who rebels against his creator, wants to be equal to him and God demolishes him and throws him down. And that rebellious being that God casts down drags other angels with him as well, says the Scripture because we do not have all the drama clearly elaborated in the Bible but we do know a little here and there, that some rebellion was harassed by that exalted creature that God created and that these are the demons that today do so much harm to humanity, those preternatural beings that contaminate the world and human life with their wickedness and with their corrupt and damaged nature due to their distance from God and then transfer their corruption to the humanity when they touch it, manipulate it, tempt it, make it stumble because they have evil in them, because they are completely separated from the grace of God.
And that being that God knocks down and demolishes for his arrogance and his desire to subvert the authority of the father, is the being that then whispers to Adam and Eve, who appears in the Garden of Eden and they say, you are believing that gloomy old man who is telling you if you eat from that tree they are going to die. What he wants is to ruin your party, what he doesn't want is for you to have a good time and have a good time, eat and you will see that everything is fine. and Adam and Eve let themselves be guided by what that evil being tells them, they fall, they disobey God and evil comes into the world, sin, death, suffering, separation from God.
You see, my brothers , that rebellion, the violation of that principle of authority is what causes corruption to come into the world. Can you then understand why God looks with so much annoyance, anger, indignation, when he sees rebellion in man, in the individual? Because he knows that all the evil that exists in the cosmos, in human reality, comes from rebellious hearts, from acts of rebellion and disobedience.
So I am clear that this is why God... and remember the passage that I examined last Sunday, Samuel tells Saul, Saul, you don't understand that rebellion against God is like witchcraft, disobedience to the Lord is as if you were committing an act of witchcraft, divination, which is what God hates, one of the most hated, because that principle of rebellion and disobedience has caused so much damage to humanity through the centuries , and that is why we have to continually examine ourselves, brothers.
Lord, is there rebellion in my heart, is there rebellion in my spirit against my authorities? Is there rebellion in my spirit against...? Because we all have authorities, against anything that questions me. See, there are many people who have been psychologically offended by a father who abused them, by a mother who did not give them affection, by an employer who exploited them, a guard who slapped them one day, a neighbor who abused them when children in some way, and they grow up with a sense, there is a root of bitterness in them, they cannot hold on to anyone, they have rebellion in their hearts and so they walk with it and it hurts them.
They cannot hold on to a pastor, you cannot submit to a policeman, you cannot submit to a policeman, to a governor, because in your heart there is a little machine that tells you, no, rebel, question, don't give up. They are operating under a harmful psychological energy that, until it is resolved, is going to make that person stumble continuously.
And that is why it is so important, man, woman, that we always ask ourselves, is there in me any root of bitterness against authority? Because that principle, that energy always causes harm in human life. How many young people, brothers, are in rebellion against their parents, have resentment against their parents? And maybe many times, you know what? the parents have behaved in an inappropriate way or maybe they are just human, because I believe that parents have always been parents and we have always been human through the centuries.
Today, only this thing that if the father is imperfect or the mother is imperfect, well, I don't have to obey him. Look, through thousands of years of existence on earth, the popes have always made mistakes, and they have always done harm because that's the way it is. The Bible says it clearly, that is not enough. Now, of course, if there is sexual abuse, if there is physical abuse and other things definitely, look, son, run away from home. But if it is a father, a well-intentioned mother who is doing everything possible to educate her children makes mistakes, son, bless your father, obey, hold on, because I see many children, still adults who are wandering the earth, who they have not resolved their resentment against their parents and judgment is hanging over their heads.
There is something, there is a mystery. God cannot bless a person who is angry with his father or mother and in rebellion and resentment. Arrange things with your father or mother because it suits you. That is a biblical principle.
Therefore, parents, let us make it as easy as possible for our children to be subjected so that we do not put them in situations where they have to find themselves fighting against a universal principle that is going to cause them harm. I believe that the worst sin that a father or mother can commit is to abuse their children, to exasperate them to the point that their children become rebellious, because they are doubly cursed. It is causing them psychological and emotional wounds and it is turning them against the God they serve who wants, and who says, obey your father, honor your father and your mother and if not... Sorry, it doesn't mean that your forgive you are justifying what they have done to you, but jump out from under that cloud of judgment as soon as you can. Fix things, you don't have to be one hundred percent gone, if your father was not worthy of active honor, or your mother, whatever, that's fine, but at least accept authority, reconcile with them, hold on.< P> The same, let's say in the pastorate, brothers, look through twenty-some years of ministry I have rarely seen a person prosper spiritually in rebellion against his pastor or against his authorities, not because it is me or whoever it is, and again I am not saying this for myself, I assure you brothers, I thank the Lord that I preach this in a church that I love and that I know loves and respects me. There is no issue here, I am not trying to heal myself from something or anything like that, I feel that I have the respect of the vast, vast majority of my brothers. I am speaking purely like this, very neutral, so do not think that it was that my wife did not give me breakfast this morning, and that I am upset, no, no, this is something very general, universal principles that I feel that I am preaching under the God's anointing for your blessing.
There are people who are in struggle, in conflict with their pastors and I am afraid that they do not understand that there is a shadow over their lives. Better, look brother, if you cannot submit to your pastor or respect his spiritual authority, my advice as a spiritual father, look for another church, not for the church or for me, but for you so that you do not live in spiritual conflict and judgment In front of God. With health, go and look for a church where you can feel comfortable and respect your pastor so that God's blessing can flow over your life, because God has called us to peace, not to fight, because it is a spiritual principle.
Now, let me add another thing because these things are so complicated that one would like to have ten mouths to speak at the same time and say them all together. Let me tell you something, the pastors are not perfect, the elderly are not perfect, the spiritual authorities are not perfect, a lot of mistakes are made and I believe that the principle of dialogue with your pastors is important. I benefit from a diaconate that has people that I know I have to walk very well in front of them. They love me, they respect me, but if they have to tell me something they will tell me. I have never looked for people who tell me, yes, yes, yes to everything, on the contrary, I am afraid of that type of person because I know that it is not good for me. I like having people who are prepared to tell me the truth even if it annoys me. And I like in my ecclesiastical government people with authority who are not going to share with me in things that are not correct for my own protection.
So I believe, and brothers, I also believe that a member of the congregation if he sees your pastor doing something that is not due or if you do not agree with something you should feel free to with love, humility and meekness go to your pastor and say, pastor, I see this and this and this. Explain to me what is happening, etc. and I encourage you, brothers, also in the same way, if you want to give me some advice, I will thank you for that advice. If I get upset later, I'll go home, take two aspirin and think about what you told me. If you do, say so and then let the Lord take over and do it. I believe that I know how to listen to the truth and although I wince and it hurts, I listen to it and receive it and hold onto it in the vast majority of cases.
In other words, I am not saying here that we should say yes to it. to everything, do not question authority, look at the pastor as if he were the incarnation of God on earth. No, what I am saying is that we have to abide by this principle of subjection to the authorities, questioning authority should be a measure of last resort, not a first resort as in our time, because there is a blessing in that. I know that time has passed, it has been long, many things, I am barely a third of my message, there are so many things that have to be pulled, so many ends that have to be tied, that I am even afraid of leaving things like that, like a mechanic pulls all the wires out of the car and then has it there and has to close the bonnet.
But, I think they've gotten enough to think about it, and I'm going to take the thread next Sunday, but please the Lord, I am going to ask that the musicians and the brothers of the adoration come here quickly, please the Lord, brothers, begin to work in our hearts about the importance of us flowing in meekness, in obedience, subjection to authorities. Brothers, I guarantee you one thing, that your being a meek and humble person and subject to authority instead of making you a carpet on which people walk, will make you a man, a woman more powerful than the spirit.< P> When a strong man or woman submits to authority by spiritual principle, God blesses them. Brothers, let me tell you, there is nothing more beautiful that I have seen on earth than a young man in all his masculinity, or a young woman in all her feminine beauty, in her intellect, subject to her father and mother, that is the most beautiful thing. what is in the world That immediately evokes my respect and my desire to bless that person. There is nothing more beautiful than a soldier in his uniform and with his medals saluting in front of his superior, that is beautiful.
Authority and submission to authority when displayed in all their beauty is the most beautiful thing there is in the world. Never think that if you submit to authority you are going to be a pimp, a puppet, a person unworthy of respect. On the contrary, a society, a family, a church that is governed by principles of authority where male authority is subject to God, to his word, to the wisdom that comes from God, to the love of Christ to love his wife as himself, loving his children, going out of his way for them, is precious. A woman who submits to a husband who moves under the authority of Christ and his word is beautiful. Children who cling to their parents are beautiful. Some workers who submit to their authorities who are also subject to God's principles of not exploiting the worker, of treating him as a human being, with respect, is beautiful.
And God says, children, move according to principles of authority. Lion of Judah, Lion of Judah congregation, my children, my family, flow according to principles of authority and I will bless you. I will pour blessing on their heads until it abounds, may the Lord bless his people, bless us all and help us live according to principles of spiritual authority. Amen.
Lord bless your holy word. Glory to God. Glory to the Lord. Let's stand up, brothers, let's give glory to God for his word. I hope that this week we can meditate on that and with the Lord's help next Sunday we will continue meditating on these principles that are life, they are life if we apply them. Thank you Father, we hold on to your word Lord. Help us to be humble, meek and simple-hearted people. Help us to understand these principles, Father, and to abide by them. I bless the youth and I bless the parents and I bless this church, Father, and I ask that it be a worthy church, Lord, of your blessing by living according to your principles. Thank you, Jesus, in your name we ask these things. Amen and amen. May the Lord continue to bless you.
