Summary: The speaker reflects on the promise of God's presence in Matthew 28:20, where Jesus says, "And behold, I am with you always until the end of the world." He emphasizes the importance of remembering that God is with us every day, in every situation, and that this is a hallmark of Christianity. The speaker also draws on other Bible verses, such as Isaiah 41:10 and 43:2, to emphasize God's promise to be with us through trials and challenges. He encourages listeners to cultivate the sense of God's presence in their lives, as it can give them strength and encouragement to face anything in life.
The author discusses how one can lose the sense of God's presence in their lives when they become too focused on the worries of life. They emphasize the importance of cultivating the sense of God's presence and seeking Him every day, not just on Sundays. The author shares a personal story about how their mother's strong belief in God's presence allowed her to undertake seemingly impossible tasks and come out victorious. They also highlight how God is with us in our daily lives and blesses everything we do when we have faith in Him. The author encourages readers to cultivate a sense of God's active blessing in their lives and environments.
God is with us in our daily tasks, when we serve Him, in life's problems, and in our efforts to overcome. We should cultivate an active sense of God's presence, and remember that He is always with us. When we face difficult situations, we should hold onto the promises of God and trust in His presence. We should not fear or be intimidated when undertaking new things, as God goes before us and is with us always.
Believe that God is with you and have no fear. Cultivate the awareness of God's presence and undertake great things in life with confidence. Don't let difficulties or the devil's obstacles prevent you from entering into God's blessings. Hold on to Christ Jesus, seek Him, and be faithful to Him. The Lord is with you every day, in every situation of your life. Cultivate the sense of His presence and walk in that confidence. Thank God for His presence and bless Him. Leave with your battery charged with the presence of the Lord.
To the word of the Lord in Chapter 28 of Matthew, verse 20. There is a very simple verse, some well-known words of the Lord. The second part of that verse 20 of Matthew 28 says: "...and behold, I am with you always until the end of the world..."
How many can say amen to that? I want you to say with me, and here I am with you every day, every day, until the end of the world. Amen. That word is for you, my brother, my sister this morning and I want that concept of God who is with us, God with us, to be recorded.
Again, looking for a topic for my presentation this morning, my meditation this morning, that text that I just read with you quickly crossed my mind like a bolt of lightning. And behold, I am with you every day until the end of the world.
That's the word for you, my brothers, and for me this morning. That is the word of the Lord, the promise of the Lord. Receive it now in the name of Jesus. The Lord says to you, individual and says to you, Lion of Judah congregation, behold, I am with you every day until the end of the world.
The Lord wants us to know that he is with us, that his company does not leave us and that his eye, his eyes are on you, they are on your children, he is on your body itself, he is on the organs of your body, it is about your finances, it is about your work, it is about your aspirations, it is in the midst of your struggles, it is in the midst of the persistent issues of your life, the gaze of the Lord, the presence of the Lord is with you.
And he wants you to remember that. If this morning you feel a little afflicted, doubtful, sad, overwhelmed, with worries, perhaps with financial difficulties, you feel doubts about your future in this country, or you have concerns about your children or your family in Latin America or in Africa or In Europe, wherever you come from, the Lord tells you this morning, behold, I am with you, every day until the end of the world.
That is a wonderful passage, the truth is that when I began to meditate on it and say, well, how do I approach that text, how do I get the benefit of the text. There are so many ways as one begins to meditate on it.
The first thing that strikes me about the text is simply that contrast, that complementation between every day and the end of the world. Every day it reminds me of the everyday, the daily, Monday, tomorrow, when you return to your work, the Lord tells you, I am with you on Monday morning, and on Tuesday too, and on Wednesday too. When you are in the factory or in the nursing home where you work, or in the restaurant where you wash dishes or serve or cook, or in the office, or in the business, or wherever in school, where you are studying, the Lord says, I am with you, I walk with you, I am there in your business. I am there in the classroom with you. I am in the office while you struggle with duties and responsibilities. I'm in the truck when you drive on the highway, I'm with you every day and until the end of the world.
That's a pretty lofty concept, isn't it? Because every day is daily living. You get up and have a coffee and eat a piece of bread or cereal, whatever, and go to work, but also this idea of the end of the world when the story stops. The Lord says, I am with you there too, and I will be with you in the interim, at all times I am with you.
And brothers, we have to make ourselves aware every day of that fact, that the Lord Jesus Christ is with us every day. That is the source of our power, that is the source of our hope and our vitality. It is the fact of knowing that God is with us, when we go out, when we come in. I believe that this is one of the great differences of the Christian, is that we have this idea of a present God, an immediate God, a personal God, a God who knows me, a God who has formed me in my mother's womb. .
It says that God formed the internal organs of our being and embryo saw your eyes, says the Bible, the Lord has been there since before the conception of our life, the Lord already knew who we were and is with us, accompanies us at all times. And that idea of the immediate God, the personal God, the present God is a hallmark of Christianity, of the Gospel, that personal God that I can pray to if I have a headache, or if I have cancer, he is with me. Be it for something small, be it for something big, be it to take me on time to a medical or work appointment because there is a blockage on 93, I can appeal to my God and he will not say, no, that request is not qualify because it is not important enough. The God we have is a God for every day, he is a God for every situation.
And there are many texts that came to mind then and I began to break down this idea of God who is with us. I want, that preposition, with, I want to emphasize it this morning. This idea of God with me, God with you and the implications of the fact that God is with us, is with me, what practical implications does that have for life.
Look, for example, one of the first things, in the very book of Matthew, Gospel according to Saint Matthew in Chapter 1, the very nature of Jesus Christ is to be with us. What name was given to him, one of the names of Jesus is which? Emmanuel, and what does the name Emmanuel mean? God with us, 1:23 Matthew:
“.... and you shall call his name Emmanuel which translated is God with us....”
By the way, remember that I I was saying about Jesus Christ God as one of the great doctrines, that I am going to be visiting from time to time those great doctrines of Scripture, that there are groups called Christians who deny the deity of Jesus Christ. Look here how Jesus is called, God with us. What a clearer expression of the divinity of Jesus than that. When Christ was born the fact more than ever that God is with us became a reality, his very name reflects his deity, but even more and practical for us, it reflects the fact that he is.
That is, the incarnation itself, the phenomenon of the incarnation, the coming of God and his making as a man, suggests that fact that he is with us. That is its very nature, that is in its essence. It is not being there in heaven separated from history and from man, from nature. The beautiful thing about God is that he is deeply involved with history. He is not nature, there are theologies or religions that speak of the immanence of God in the sense that God is the stone, God is the animal, God is the water or the sky or the moon, no, God is not those things , but it is in them. Do you get me? God created them and is eminently involved, involved in the world that he has created, continuously and that the Lord reminded his disciples when he was going to ascend and ready to finish his earthly ministry, resurrected, ready to be taken and taken to heaven , he said, and behold, I am with you always until the end of the world.
And that's a reminder that he left them. And we're going to see in a moment why he chose that particular moment to remind them that he was going to be with them, with the disciples and therefore he is also with us.
Another passage also occurs to me where the Lord tells the disciples, hey, be glad that I am leaving because until then I was with you, but now I am going to be with you. See if the presence of God is deep in the lives of your children, who is not only with you but is within you so that they will not escape there in a sudden stop that you gave in the 93 or a too fast start and that he stays behind, no, he is inside you so where you go he has to go with you too. The Lord is in you and therefore he is with you wherever you go. Say amen in Jesus name.
There are so many precious passages like this. I came up with Isaiah 41, a verse that I have here written in my own hand, that I believe I have told you before and I do have it here in my Bible continuously. Isaiah 41, verse 10 says, "do not fear for I am with you." "....Do not fear because I am with you, do not faint because I am your God who strives for you, I will always help you, I will always support you with the right hand of my justice...." Amen.
What a beautiful promise from the Lord, isn't it? It's like God knows that just telling me, I'm with you, that's enough. If God is with me I don't need anything else, let me tell you. It's like God says, look, if I'm with you, don't worry if I'm going to help you, if I'm not going to help you, if I'm going to give you, if I'm not going to give you. I am with you, you have everything you need. The mere presence of God in our lives already means that we have everything we need for the demands of existence, for the challenges of life.
And that is the great inheritance of the Son of God, the fact that as a result that we have Christ in our hearts, that we have Christ as our savior, he is with us, he is. One thing goes with the other, if you are a child of God, God is with you and you should never doubt that.
Look at verse 1 of Isaiah 43, it's more like the very beginning of Isaiah 43. It's nice to have your Bible because you can keep going, right? Although we also have the help of the Internet here, but it says:
“Now thus says Jehovah, your creator – see, since God is your creator, that has a very serious implication about that in relation to God – your creator, oh Jacob and your maker, oh Israel, do not fear because I redeemed you, I gave you a name, you are mine. He says, when you pass through the waters I will be with you...." Glory to the name of the Lord.
When you go through the waters, that's when you go through the anguish, the waters are, you know when the water is reaching the neck, I was thinking where is the lifeguard to get me out of here what as soon as possible. When there are problems in life, when there are worries, when the rent has to be paid and the check hasn't arrived yet, and there's too much month for the money you have left and you don't know where the answer will come from.
When you pass through the waters, the Lord says, don't worry, I'll be with you. I will be with you and if the rivers will not drown you when the strong tribulations come so that the current will drag you away, and it will carry you away and it seems that there is no hope anymore, and it says, don't worry, the rivers won't they will sink you, they will not drown you.
When you go through the fire, you will not burn, when the test is already red hot in your life and you have already been declared without hope and that there is no solution for you, the Lord says, do not you shall not burn, nor shall the flame burn in you, for I, Jehovah, your God, the Holy One of Israel, am your savior. Glory to the name of the Lord.
I'll be with you. That is the promise of the children of God. There is a passage that also says, I don't have it with me but it says, and this is the inheritance, this is the inheritance of the children of God. The fact that God is with us. So if you are a son of God, a daughter of God, if you are in Christ Jesus, if you have Christ as the mediator of your life, if you are connected to the divine Internet, God is with you. You don't have to worry if he's here or not, he's with you and that, my brother, my sister should give you encouragement to undertake anything in life. The fact that we always cultivate the sense of God's presence.
Do you know that there are times when one gets so involved in the worries of life that one kind of loses a bit of the sense of God's presence, yes or no? It's like sometimes one spends some time and stops praying, and stops seeking the face of God and the worries of life, work and struggles come, we get into projects and situations, and sometimes times of illness also come. or economic difficulties or whatever, and our search for God, those practices that keep us going, kind of wanes a bit. Because you have to cultivate the sense of God's presence, brothers, that does not come automatically. Let me tell you that this goes away in an instant, in two or three days if you do not seek God, the mind is the most treacherous thing in the world, sensitivity towards the Lord becomes dusty and covers itself with a layer of dust and that does not allow electricity, that there be a connection with divine cables. And then you kind of drop a little bit in your sense of God's presence.
What do you have to do at that moment? You know what? Fasting there or taking off for three, four hours to seek more fully from the Lord, stay in a room, tell the boys to eat a can of ravioli or whatever, but today I'm going to look for the face of the Lord and I am going to fill myself again with the presence, I am going to charge the batteries, I am going to remember that God is with me.
Because when one is aware that the presence of God is with us, that is what gives us encouragement. That is why the Christian life cannot be lived from Sunday to Sunday depending on a quick load there on Sunday by steam. One has to be looking for his blessing every day, brothers. One has to be revisiting the presence of God because that connection with the presence of God in our lives, that is what gives us encouragement and courage to undertake the things of life. Cultivate the sense of God's presence, that God is with me and then since he is with me, I can undertake in the name of the Lord everything I want, everything I need in life, be it a new business, a future marriage, a career, a move, whatever, you have to make sure.
What did the Hebrews say to Moses? Make sure that God goes with us, that God is with you. And I think it was Moses himself who said, if you don't go with us, don't take us out of here. We have to know that God goes with us wherever we go and we have to cultivate that. God wants you to know that he is with you because if you know that he is with you it is like you having two bodyguards there 6 foot 8 behind you. You know that you can undertake anything because you have a backup there. Likewise, you have one that measures more than 6 with 8, it measures the extension of the universe, which is infinite. And he is with you, he wants to be used in your favor.
I remember, I thought about that and I remember my mother who was a woman who lived seized with the sense of the presence of God in her life and that is why I believe how she knew that God was with her, my The most pleasant and inspiring memories of her are of things that she undertook that seemed impossible that a woman like her, who had not done great studies and was a humble, simple woman, could undertake, and yet she undertook them and God always brought her out with victory. Because she had that certainty that God was with her and then she dared to do crazy things.
I was remembering once this morning in the Dominican Republic an aunt of mine who had given birth and you know all those things about Hispanic families, she was not married to this man and she had a daughter, a baby who She is already a married woman and all this, many years ago, and this man, she took the girl to the Dominican Republic where this man, the girl's father, was in a field there in the Dominican Republic, and left her for a little time with him in that field. He could not come here to the United States and she returned to the United States, she got sick here and the man finally said that he was not going to release the girl, and he had her hidden in a field in the Dominican Republic and had said in in a very clear and very threatening way that nobody dared to take that girl from him because he was not going to give her up.
And my mother went to the Dominican Republic and everyone warned her, Toñita, don't go there because they are dangerous people there, and that family controls all that field where the girl is. A place far from the city, very far from the city. And my mom was there getting up rather than people said and with a lot of fear because my aunt couldn't, she wasn't in a position to be able to do anything about it and my mom almost returned from the Dominican Republic to the United States without seeing the girl or do nothing about it. But a couple of days before she returned from the Dominican Republic, God put in her heart that she wanted to go to that field and she was going to speak to this man, and she felt that the Lord had something that he was going to do in that intervention. .
And my mother asked my brother-in-law that we call him Pucho, his name is Juan Ramón, but we call him Pucho by nickname, and she said, Pucho, take me to the field because I want to talk to that man. And Pucho told her, Doña Toñita, you know that these people are dangerous people, it's a very isolated field there and that man is not an easy thing and I don't want to go there to run a risk like that. But my mother insisted and Pucho finally agreed and went with her with fear and trembling to that remote field in the Dominican Republic. And there my mother arrived with Pucho, according to what she told me the story, and he always backed up all the details, they arrived at nightfall in that remote field there in the Dominican Republic and there they found their way, they arrived at the place where this man lived who did not see them. received with a very friendly face, by the way. And my mom sat down with this man and since God had always given her a special grace, that he could mix firmness with kindness and meekness, and my mom reasoned with this man and among other things she said, look, this girl she is an American citizen so don't mess with the American government, they can do anything and this and that. But he also told her that this girl in that field did not have much of a future, but that in the United States with her mother she could have a future and that she should do what was right as a father for that girl.
The case was, brothers, that at the end of the day, already dark, my mother returned with that girl to Santo Domingo and was able to bring her to the United States to be reunited with her mother. And I remember that whenever that story was told, Pucho said in astonishment, look, I never saw anything like that, I would never have dared to go to that place like Doña Toñita, I told her, she dared.
What was it that gave my mother that strength? It was the sense that God was with her. And just as she did that feat, she did many others in her life and I believe that one of the legacies that she left us as a family was precisely that sense that God is with us and that therefore no matter how serious Whatever the problem, however great the struggle, however difficult the challenge, we can undertake great things because God is with us. With our God we can do feats, brothers.
If a simple woman like her, with relatively little education, was not a spiritual genius, did not have theological studies, had no money, she could do so many things that blessed so many people, you can do much more, even . If you cultivate the sense of God's presence in your life, if you feel that God is with you, that he is there as a powerful giant, as the word of God says, that he supports you, that he walks with you, when you go out from your house in that cold of December or February here in Boston the Lord goes with you to your workplace. He is with you in your struggles and in your tribulations.
There are five things that I am going to relate quickly in which God is with us and that we must always keep in mind. First of all, I've already pointed this out and I'm just going to isolate and reinforce it a little bit. God is with you in daily living, in the daily tasks of life, in the day to day stuff of life, in normal, daily, simple, customary affairs, I don't know how to say it more clearly, simply in the simplicity of life . God is not with us only in the great crises, in the great tribulations and in the great struggles, God is with us simply when we go in and out, when we are in conversation, when we are earning our Friday check, when we are cooking for the children or dealing with the paperwork of the profession. The Lord is with us, there in that daily moment, boring, simple, without much splendor, God is with you, strengthening and filling you.
I thought of Joseph, look in Genesis, Chapter 39, how Joseph was benefited by the presence of God in his life. You know that Joseph was a man who went through great tribulations and struggles, he was sold by his brothers, God was with him from the beginning, God had a purpose for Joseph's life and God was with Joseph. His brothers sold him because, let me tell you, the presence of God with you does not say, it does not imply that you will not go through problems and tribulations. We're clear on that, right? It says when you go through the fire, you won't get burned. It is not that if you are going to go through the fire or that you are not going to go through the fire, no, when you go through, when you go through the waters you will not be drowned.
And Joseph, God was with him since he was a child but he was sold by his brothers, however in Genesis 39, verse 2 it says:
“... but the Lord was with Joseph. ..”
You see, there may be struggles in your life, reversals, persecutions, people may turn against you, but you always have to say no, but Jehovah is with me more. And that should give you strength to pick yourself up again and instead of being there like a fallen and dead little flower, you get up again, and say, I'm going to keep going, I'm going to continue the battle. Because? Because God is with me.
Then, look at this: “... and he was a prosperous man and was in the house of his master, the Egyptian, and his master saw that the Lord was with him and that all that he did the Lord did him. he made it prosper in his hand....”
Everything he did, there I see everyday life. Everything that José undertook, if they sent him to buy something, came with two bags instead of one, which was what was expected. Because? Because God was with him. If I put him to cook a meal, that meal tasted tasty because God was with him. If he put him to manage his money, the money magically multiplied and yielded because God was with him. Then, brothers, look what happened:
“.... so Joseph found grace in his eyes and he served him and he made him steward of his house and delivered into his power all that he had and it came to pass that From the moment he gave him the charge of his house and all that he had, the Lord blessed the house of the Egyptian because of Joseph and the blessing of the Lord was on all that he had, both at home and in the field..." < /p>
And this man, not very slow or lazy, left everything he had in the hands of José. Because? Because he knew that if God was with Joseph and Joseph was involved in something, then God was going to be in that something.
See? And that is something that I have always believed, brothers, you know what? This nation is blessed because children of God are in it. We are yeast of the earth, we are salt of the earth, we are light of the world. Where we go, the presence of God goes with us. Remember that you have the right to believe that God is blessing your neighborhood because you are in it, because God's presence is with you. God bless your job because you are in that job.
I believe that even we would cultivate that sense of God's active blessing more because I am a child of God and because I am touching the environment where I move, God would move with more power over us. What happens is that many times we do not cultivate that active sense of the presence of God with its implications of prosperity, blessing, fruit for our environments. I believe that this neighborhood has been blessed, among other things, because the Lion of Judah came to it 10 years ago. And I believe that the general community to which we belong with our different nationalities and cultures is being blessed because children of God who go to this congregation and to other Christian congregations are in those places blessing with their presence.
Now, I believe that we have to cultivate, because many people do not cultivate that sense of God's presence and that is why God does not move. You see, one has to be aware of the presence of God and one has to cultivate it because that then gives one more power, it is not that God is not there if you are not aware of it, but the presence of God moves with more power when you cultivate the sense of God's presence. Ask every day for what it is to seek God, seek the word of the Lord, seek prayer time so that your awareness that God is with you is renewed. I try never to ascend to this platform without being charged with the sense of God's presence with me. I couldn't minister just coming up here like it's a routine on a daily basis. That scares me, brothers, one has to minister with security and awareness, God is with me at this moment. God is going to open the way for me, God is going to open the way for me, God is going to give me the word, God is going to give me the anointing that I need.
And so at work, wherever you are, every day remember the Lord is with you in the daily things of life, your work, your struggle with your children, in all things, God is with you .
And God was with Joseph and therefore God prospered him. People notice when a person has the touch of God, the grace of God in their life. So, God is with us in everyday tasks but God is also with us when we serve him, in Christian service God is with us. God calls us to testify to others of Jesus Christ, many of us are serving in our congregation as teachers, as children's instructors, as hujieres, in praise, in different ministries. The Lord has wanted us to know that when we serve the Lord there is a special anointing that rests on us We do not serve the Lord in human forces, that is not enough. It is the anointing of God, that is why the Lord Jesus Christ told the disciples, do not leave Jerusalem until you are invested with power. And when they receive the Holy Spirit then I will go and you will be my witnesses.
Remember, never try to serve the Lord unless you are filled with the presence of the Lord. Everything you do, be it simple or great, for the Lord always make sure that God is there very present with you and that your mind is aware and your heart of the presence of God, that what you do you undertake with God, in God.
A ministry when it is led by a person who is aware of God's presence in his life and believes that God has called him and who cultivates that awareness of God's presence, is a ministry that will to prosper, be it hujieres, whatever it is, something simple, when a hujier does a job of seating a person, or enters his function on a Sunday morning, he must always be charged with the presence of God and say, Lord , that when my hand touches a person to receive it or talk to someone to give up their seat or whatever, that you be with me too, that you go with me and you cultivate that.
Undertake whatever you do for the service of God, with a heavy awareness that God is with you and that will prosper you and will bless you greatly.
The third category of God's presence with us is that God is with us in life's problems, in life's challenges, in life's difficulties, in the trials that come our way inevitably into existence. God is with us.
Look at Second Chronicle, the life of King Hezekiah is very instructive in this regard. Hezekiah was a man who served the Lord, loved God, was faithful to the Lord, and did many things so that his reign reflected the glory of God. But there came a time in Hezekiah's life that a very powerful king, King Zenakerib invaded the kingdom of Israel and Zenakerib came with all his army and surrounded Jerusalem and this king boasted that none of the gods of the other nations they had confronted his army, they had been able to protect none of those nations. And he mocked the Hebrews because Hezekiah had said that they will worship no other God but Jehovah alone. And he threw that in Hezekiah's face as he surrounded his city.
And Hezekiah encouraged the people of Israel to trust in their God. and look here it says in verse 5, Second Chronicles 32:6 says:
“... and he set captains of war over the people and assembled them in the square of the gate of the city and He spoke to their hearts...."
That is, Hezekiah speaks to the hearts of his people so that they do not allow themselves to be intimidated by this great problem that is upon them, this powerful king that is surrounding Israel and that there seems to be no way they can beat him.
It says, verse 7 “ ... he spoke to their hearts and said to them, be strong and courageous, do not fear or be afraid of the king of Assyria nor of all the multitude that comes with him....”
See, that is the Thing, when you know that the presence of God is with you, that should give you encouragement, courage, confidence to face the difficult situations of life. says:
"... because there is more with us than with him, with him is the arm of meat..."
Many people only have human resources, money , influence, position, human intelligence.
“...with him is the arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to help us and fight our battles....”
Hallelujah! ".... more with us is God, our God to help us fight our battles..."
My brother, when you find yourself in difficult situations, one of the things that the crisis will to want to do in your life is to erase your awareness of the presence of God and that you focus on the crisis and focus on the problem and on the struggle and on the difficulty and that you stop trusting in the Lord, that you get discouraged, that you falter in prayer, in serving the Lord, in reading the word and you have to tell yourself, no, it's true, I'm going through a problem, the situation is difficult, but God is with me and I'm going to cheer up and I'm going to undertake the task, I'm going to move on, I'm going to keep trusting.
He says that when the people heard this encouragement that Hezekiah gave them, they had confidence in the words of Hezekiah, king of Judah. And do you know what finally happened? The Bible says that miraculously, mysteriously, an angel of the Lord walked through the camp of King Zenakerib, several books say so, not only the book of Second Chronicles but I think the book of Isaiah also mentions it, the angel of Jehovah destroyed everything Zenakerib's army, because Zenakerib took so much pride in insulting the Lord and I think that's what caused God to attack him and kill him with one, it says that when Zenakerib returned to his land in shame because his army had been destroyed, two of his sons killed him while he was worshiping his God in the temple.
Because when you mess with the children of the Lord you have serious problems. When the children of the Lord are filled with the presence of God, things happen, as the chorus says. We, brothers, have to fight our battles with the awareness of the presence of the Lord. let us not be intimidated by life's problems, let us fight with the awareness that God is with us.
Two more things, we have seen that God is with us in daily tasks, when we serve the Lord, when we have a problem and I also believe that there are times when not only a problem comes, but it comes as a a time of trouble, it's like a bad spell, I think that's what it's called, a streak of trouble that comes our way, a gale of those that leaves all the locusts, those insects on top of the ground and they start to eat the land and we don't know how to get rid of it. Almost a season of trouble comes and we go through weeks and months and the sun does not rise.
It's like these days that the rain has been there continuously, falling day after day. And that is how it happens in the life of the child of God, sometimes times of lack come, times of difficulties, I know that for some of us these times of recession and difficulty have been painful, some of us have lost houses or have had difficulties in different ways. financial types, jobs have been lost, there have been dry times, and in those long times one also kind of declines. In fact, the Apostle Paul talks about when the bad day comes, remember? When the time of affliction comes to life.
Brothers, you know what? That is the time for you to remember that God has not left your life. He said, I'm with you every day until the end of the world, he didn't put asterisks there, just in case, if I'm in a good mood, no, he said, every day until the end of the world. Sometimes the sun you can't see, but you know the sun is there, it's just covered by the clouds. Sometimes life will prevent you from feeling and seeing the presence of God, but you have to know, no, God is there.
And when this streak of difficulty ends I will be, as the Apostle Paul says, standing firm, having passed the bad day, having armored myself with the armor of God. There are times when when the wind comes what we have to do is close the windows, put a 4 x 8 on each window or on the door and let the wind roar and the storm come and when the sun rises, we open the door again and we went out and celebrated again.
There are times when the only thing you can do, my brother, my sister, is grit your teeth and say, God is with me and hold you there until the storm passes, get into the basement of the presence God, make sure you take a good Bible and read there while the wind roars around your house, stay in there until the bad weather passes. Hold on to everything that God has told you, all the promises that he has given you, repeat them, pray to them, confess them and when the devil gets tired of throwing stones at your house, the Lord will say, ok, it's over, you have to go, my servant, my servant has been faithful, now comes the blessing. Because God blesses the children of God when they are faithful to the Lord.
When we go through difficulties, marital problems, struggles with children, and we pray and pray and pray and like the widow we insist to the just God to do us justice, and God says, because you have believed in me, you have remained, I bless you now and I give you much more than what you lost.
So important, brothers, when the bad day comes, when the spells of difficulty come, hold on tooth and nail to the promises of the Lord. He says I am with you every day until the end of the world.
And finally, God is with us also in our efforts to overcome. I have put it that way, our efforts to overcome, when we want to do something not only defensively, fighting something bad, but when we are going to start something good in our lives. When we are going to undertake a job that is going to demand more of us, or we are going to a study program and we do not feel comfortable, that we perhaps do not have the skills that are required, or when we are going to open a business. A sister this morning gave me a card from her new business and the business is Emmanuel, precisely. I said, ah, that is precisely what I am going to preach about. Well, that sister I could tell her, look at that name, she believes that God is telling you, God is with you in that business that you are undertaking. God blesses you and you can believe, God is with me in this business that I am going to undertake.
It is so important, brothers, that when we undertake new things, we know that God is with us. I leave you with one last passage, Deuteronomy 31, verses 6 to 8 where the people of God are ready to enter the promised land, a great path opens before them, a great new era of their lives. They have been in the desert for 40 years, now something very big awaits them there, very good, it is a radical change of life for the nation but they also have people who are going to fight against them and who are going to want to prevent them from entering into that inheritance that the Lord has given them. And look how Moses speaks to Joshua and the people, because they are going to undertake something great, good, noble, beautiful, full of future and promise and:
“... Moses called Joshua and He said to him in the presence of all Israel, be strong and courageous because you will enter with this people to the land that the Lord swore to their fathers that he would give them, and you will make them inherit it. It says here, in verse 8, and the Lord goes before you, he will be with you, he will not leave you or forsake you, do not fear or be intimidated....”
I like that, brothers “.. .do not fear or be intimidated…” Hallelujah!
“...don't be afraid or intimidated.” Tell your brother who is next to you, do not fear or be intimidated. Okay. Also brothers, it is a double warning and a double call. Don't fear or even be afraid. Okay. Don't be intimidated.
That is, brothers, in the heart of the child of God there is not even, there should not be room for even a pinch of doubt or fear. We have to undertake our things. The word says that in God everything is yes and amen. And we have to understand that this God who is with us allows us, brothers, to undertake great things in life.
I tell those who are struggling with a vice, with a difficulty in their lives, do not fear or be intimidated, God can give you victory. A person who is trying to lose weight, do not fear or be intimidated, God is with you. A person who is considering a study program, do not fear or be intimidated, God is with you. A person who is contemplating a life change of some kind, do not fear or be intimidated. Someone who is going through a difficulty at this time in their life, a financial problem, whatever, work, housing, do not fear or be intimidated because God is with you. He goes ahead of you. Believe it in the name of the Lord this morning. Hallelujah!
Let's fill ourselves with that awareness of God's presence. Stand up in the name of Jesus and believe, whatever it is, I don't know what is in front of you, what land you have in front of you. There is a river in the middle, a Jordan River that prevents you from entering that promised land. The devil many times throws things in our path so that we don't enter into everything that God has, and God is saying to you, look, don't be afraid of that swollen river that is ahead of you because I have power to open that river so that you pass dry Those shoes you bought are not going to get wet. I am going to make sure that a drop of water falls on them, you are going to pass dry to enter the blessing that I have for you. Believe it in the name of Jesus this morning.
Fill yourself with the sense of the presence of the God who is with you. God is with me. If God is with us, who is against us, says the word of the Lord. Hallelujah!. O people of God, believe that God is with you. The mere fact that you are a child of God through Christ Jesus already guarantees you the company of the Lord. You may have your difficulties, there may be inconsistencies in your life, but look, I want to tell you that as long as you hold on to Christ Jesus, the Lord will not leave you or forsake you.
If it were a matter of perfection, I believe that none of us could aspire to the presence of God, this is the Lord's fidelity, not our fidelity. Everything is that we believe in the Christ who has called us and who has told us, I am with you every day until the end of the world.
When you go out through that door, you are going out to battle with the giants, you are going to return to your daily situation, say within yourself, the Lord is with me every day. God is with me. When I arrive at my business, my office, my house, the restaurant dining room, where the dishes are washed, or whatever, say, here the Lord enters with me, here the presence of God enters this place because I I am a son of God, a daughter of God and the presence of the Lord goes with me.
Son of God, fill yourself with that security this morning, cultivate it right there in your spirit, say, Lord, thank you because you are with me. I receive the touch of your presence this morning, I receive renewal for my strength even if I have difficulties, even if I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil because you will be with me. Hallelujah! You will be with me, holy is the name of the Lord. Thank you Jesus. We adore you.
God is with you. Have no fear; you must dare to undertake great things in the name of the Lord. You must dare to look at the future with great hope and great confidence because the Lord has said; I am with you every day until the end of time. I will be with you in the fire, I will be with you in the storm, I will be with you when the waters threaten to overwhelm you, I will be with you in the midst of difficulty when the enemy comes to you like a wall , that cannot be resisted. The Lord says I am with you, and the fact that the Lord is with you, means that nothing can stand against you, nothing can prevail against you, not even yourself, not even the difficulties in your life, not even the inconsistencies in your life, not even the defects in your character can stand between you and the blessing of the Lord. Now, you must hold on to the Jesus Christ, you must be faithful to him, you must seek him, you must make sure that you are aware of the fact that he is your Lord, he is your savior, and you must confront any situation with that certainty that God is with you and that he walks with you every day of the week in every situation of your life. Do cultivate that sense of the presence of the Lord and walk in that confidence, walk in that vitality that comes from knowing that the Lord of the universe is with you, so I bless you in the name of Jesus Christ this morning.
I bless you in the name of Jesus. Confess that Christ is with you this morning, confess it, thank you, Lord. Thank you, because you are with me, thank you because you are with me. Thank you because your presence follows me. Hallelujah! I bless this town, father, and I ask you to fill it with the sense of your presence. Praised be the name of Jesus. Glory to the name of Jesus. Thank my Lord. we bless you Praise the name of the Lord. Before leaving here cultivate the presence of God, leave your battery charged with the presence of the Lord. We love you, Father, we bless you, Lord. Thank you Jesus Christ, thank you, thank you, Lord. We adore you, we bless you. Praised be the name of Jesus. Amen.
