Does the church have what it takes?

Summary: The passage in Luke 13:10-17 tells the story of a bent-over woman who was healed by Jesus Christ in a synagogue on the Sabbath. The sermon emphasizes the importance of being filled with the Holy Spirit and having a supernatural mindset that allows us to process life events from a spiritual perspective. The speaker notes two types of churches: one that has the power of God and is effective, and one that is weak and lacks what is needed in times of need. The importance of knowing the word of the Lord and having a balanced Christian life is also emphasized, rather than being obsessed with miracles and power alone.

The pastor emphasizes the importance of being filled with the Holy Spirit and having the ability to solve any need that comes along the way. He uses the example of Jesus, who showed compassion, love, knowledge of the word of God and anointing when it was necessary. The pastor then analyzes the story of the woman who was bent over in the synagogue and explains that her illness had a demonic origin. He calls for the church to seek more of the power of God and not settle for just coming to church. The pastor emphasizes the need for an environment of power in the church, where the demons have to reveal themselves, be reprimanded and cast out. He calls for the church to cultivate more of the power of God and to do things the way God wants them to be done.

The speaker emphasizes the need for the church to mature and focus on doing God's work instead of filling schedules or putting on a show. He shares a dream he had about an archer representing Satan demarcating territory, and how the church needs to be a powerful force against the enemy. He encourages the congregation to be part of the new army God is raising up, seeking God's anointing through studying the word, prayer, and fasting. He also emphasizes the importance of painting the blood of Jesus on their doors and declaring their homes and neighborhoods as belonging to the Kingdom of God. Ultimately, the message is about the church's power and responsibility to fight against the forces of evil in the world.

We are asking for the power of God to descend upon us and fill us with the Holy Spirit. We do not want to waste the anointing that God has placed on us. We ask for a double portion of the Holy Spirit and for minds to be renewed and understanding to be opened. We rebuke the evil of the enemy and ask for a fresh spirit and new strength in the name of the Lord.

I invite you to turn, brothers, to Luke, Chapter 13, beginning with verse 10. I don't know how many have ever had the opportunity to read or meditate on the figure of this bent-over woman. The Lord Jesus Christ ministered to women many times, the woman with the issue of blood, the Samaritan woman, healed them, healed their children, for example the widow of Nain who raised her son and many miracles that she did and there are unforgettable figures in writing. This stooped woman whom the Lord heals is one of those very interesting characters.

And I want to share with you from verse 10, Chapter 13, Luke, says: “...Jesus was teaching in a synagogue on the Sabbath day, and there was a woman there who had been 18 years old, she had a spirit of illness and walked bent over. And in no way could it be straightened out. And when Jesus saw her, he called her and said, "Woman, you are free from your disease." And he put his hands on her and she straightened up then – that is, immediately – she was healed. But the principal of the synagogue, angry that Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, told the people, "There are six days in which you must work, in these then come and be healed and not on the Sabbath." Then the Lord answered him and said, 'Hypocrite, each one of you on the Sabbath does not untie his ox or his donkey from the manger and leads it to drink, and this daughter of Abraham whom Satan had tied up for 18 years, did not she should he loosen this band on the Sabbath?’ When he said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed, but all the people rejoiced at all the glorious things he had done.”

The Lord bless his holy word. What a beautiful passage of Scripture. We have been speaking, brothers, in the last few months, as you well know, about the need and in a sense the obligation to be filled with the Holy Spirit. We have shown why it is imperative that we live and move in the Christian life in that power and that filling of the Holy Spirit. I have taken this time because I want, as I have said before, to seal this congregation on the fact that God wants us to live abundant lives, lives filled with the Holy Spirit, not just living with the car almost in there almost coughing to get to the places, but that we live a life fully filled with the power of God.

In previous sermons we have seen that many believers like the Samaritan woman, for example, was I think the last time I preached on the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the life filled with the Holy Spirit, many believers like the woman Samaritan, they enter the Gospel, they are in the faith, but frequently they have not changed their mentality, their vision does not change to a supernatural vision, they continue to conjugate and process the events and aspects of religious life rationally. But the Bible calls us to renew our mind, it calls us to look at life through spiritual eyes, it calls us to process life's events from a supernatural perspective. God wants us to be supernatural beings, that we know how to move comfortably in the area of the spirit and when we have problems, needs, difficulties, illnesses, triumphs in life, that we do not simply look at them from a merely human, natural perspective, but that we can always make the connection of these things that we are living in time and space with aspects of the spirit that our mind can process life in a spiritual way.

That's why we have to renew our minds, we can't just live the Christian life through natural lenses. We are not natural people. The Bible speaks of the natural man and the spiritual man or woman. We have to learn to look with a renewed mind, that mind that the Apostle Paul says in Romans 12, do not conform to this century but be transformed through the renewal of your understanding. The natural Christian, the Christian who comes to church, has a subtle layer of religiosity but no... the supernatural vision has not penetrated his life, he cannot fully use the inheritance that God has bequeathed to him as son of God.

Many Christians live as beggars, beggars when God has made us rich in Christ Jesus. Amen. That is why the Apostle Paul says that he prays that God give us the spirit of wisdom and understanding so that we are able to understand everything that God has given us. How great is the wealth of the inheritance that we have in Christ Jesus and how great is the power that God has caused to dwell in us, he says that it is like the power that raised Christ from the dead.

And you have that power as a child of God within you, and it's important that you learn to use that power and know how to use it properly. We have seen that God wants there to be a transformation of the mind, that we change to a mentality of power and mystery in order to live that effective life that God wants us to live.

Jesus said to his disciples, you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. We cannot do in this world as Christians if we do not have that power from God. Whenever he sent his disciples, he sent them with an endowment of power and gave them power to have authority over demons, over diseases, over life's problems.

A person filled with the Holy Spirit is a person of power and authority and that authority comes as a result of the abundance, of the Lord's grace within us. Whenever there is the filling of the Holy Spirit, there will be manifestations of power. A person who is filled with the Holy Spirit will be a person used by God, it will be impossible for a person who has the power of God from him or her to be useless. Wherever that person goes God is going to be able to use him in some way, but we have to be filled with the power of God.

That is why we have to promote in the people of God the formation of that supernatural mentality that inclines them to seek the accumulation of that power and authority in the Christian experience and that prepares the child of God to receive and recognize that power. Wherever I go, brothers, I realize that this is one of the things that many Christians are missing in this age, where God wants to do great things, God wants to do feats and we live in a world that is tied up and closed and does not we are going to solve the problems of this world with just sermons and apologetics and lots of programs and lots of things, it takes something more powerful to break down the walls of Jericho.

The word says that Jericho was closed, well closed, it was a completely armored city, some walls that some say were about 14 feet wide, 2 chariots with horses could run on top of those walls and a incredible height. And there were the Jews, little ones, and they had to penetrate that city and God gave them a strategy of power and those walls fell because the people of God had the strategy of God, they had the power of God.

This society is closed, closed like the walls of Jericho, and it needs the liberation that only God can give it, it needs more than just human strength and that comes with the power of God.

Now, this text exemplifies for me very clearly all this power dynamic that I'm talking about. And why is it important that we are a powerful church? This text shows me two churches. You know we've been talking lately about the religious mindset and the spiritual mindset. I don't know if you remember that sermon that we used to the Samaritan woman as an example. The Samaritan woman had a degree in religion, she knew the history of her religion, she knew the sacred places of her Samaritan faith, but she did not have a vibrant faith, she had not had a real encounter with the Christ of power. And she did not understand many things because she was blind and needed Christ to set her free and give her a knowledge of what spiritual life truly is. And that is why the Lord told him that those who adore the Lord in spirit and in truth, those are the ones that God wants to truly adore him.

And here in this passage I see in a very eloquent way two types of church, a church where the power of God is and that therefore is effective and does what it has to do, and a church puny, a weak church, a church that does not have what is required in the moment of need.

Now I'm going to show you how I see that, but let's go to the passage itself. We see here the Lord Jesus Christ in a synagogue and the writer Luke says that he was there on the Sabbath and that is very important, very significant, the fact that it was on the Sabbath. Because it is supposed that on the Sabbath, according to the Pharisees, with their very strict and very rigid religion, you could not do any type of work, you could not work in any way. The Pharisees were very, insanely strict about the Sabbath.

And the Lord was there like today, one Sunday for example, preaching the word of God in a synagogue and he says that, I imagine the Lord while he was preaching, there was a woman there in the synagogue who was totally hunched over And I imagine that while the Lord was preaching from time to time his eyes would go to her. I suspect that this woman might not even be able to sit up because her stooped condition was so extreme that she possibly couldn't even do that. and I guess maybe I was standing in a corner embarrassed and the Lord was preaching.

I am going to ask the brothers up there if they can keep order for me, I hear someone, sometimes they do not know that there are people here who are here and that their voices are heard. Thank you.

Well, yes, brothers, and I imagine that the Lord was upset because this woman represented something that was contrary to what he adored, which was life and the quality of life of a person. And I think that he made mental notes about this woman as he was preaching and that since he finished his sermon, he came down from the platform and approached her.

The Bible clearly says here that she did not ask him to heal her but he went to her. And that strikes me about Jesus Christ, the fact that the love of Jesus is so great, where there is need there he flows. And the Lord touched this woman with his power and she was healed.

But let's go back a little bit, before going into the analysis of what he did. Look at something very interesting, I have spoken to you about the importance of power in the Christian life, about the need to be filled with the Holy Spirit, but I have always been intrigued in this passage that the Lord was not there to heal anyone necessarily, he was there to teach. It says that Jesus taught in the synagogue. And I say it's important that we understand that we don't have to be obsessed with miracles. Miracles are important and power is important, but more important than power is us knowing the word of the Lord and knowing how to access the power of God through his word.

The Lord did not have a healing ministry, understand this, the Lord had a ministry of teaching the word of God and in the course of teaching his compassion, his love, his mercy, he extended himself in works health too. But do you know why I say that? Because it is a way of sometimes correcting the excesses that we see in the charismatic Pentecostal world that gives importance to works of power, that many times we focus too much on miracles. And sometimes we forget that there are things that are more important than miracles, such as knowing the word of the Lord, such as having a Christian character that is like the character of Jesus Christ. It is important to live a balanced Christian life, that we balance power and a hunger for power and a desire to see the glory of God as well, with a desire that our lives reflect the character of Jesus Christ.

That is why I always emphasize that a balanced congregation and a balanced Christian is a Christian who knows all the word of God, who knows the call to live an ethical life, a moral life, a life of good relationships. relationships with others, acts of mercy, compassion, tolerance, that we work hard, brothers, also in polishing our character, that our life is in accordance with the word of the Lord. That is very, very important.

Look, sisters, you can sit up front here. Come this way, come here and sit here. The pastor's eye is always around here looking at the... come in, sisters, take a seat up front and thanks to the hujieres for helping you, they came together, I want you to sit together.

Well, yes, brothers, it is very important that our lives reflect that character of Jesus. Because look, we can do many miracles and many things, but in the long run if we do not live a life that reflects the character of Christ, we will be limping and many times the enemy can wreak havoc in our lives. I see that the Lord Jesus Christ always wanted to teach people and his heart was a heart of love, and then when there was a need he extended himself to it, but I believe that many times there are ministries that are characterized both by miracles and by facts of power, but there is not the word of instruction that people often need and sometimes there is even bad doctrine, doctrine that is confusing and then we do not represent the Gospel well and there is not enough credibility for people to believe in the assumptions miracles you see

Now, a people that is living in the order of God and a people that is living in the word of God is a people that is going to be greatly blessed. I believe that the most important thing is that, that we are filled with the Holy Spirit and then, whatever the need that we find along the way, we will be able to solve it. If someone needs comfort, we will give them comfort because we have a word of comfort, if someone needs instruction and advice for practical life, that word of God will flow from us too. And if someone needs a couple of dollars because they need to eat something, then that work of blessing will also come out of our pocket. And if someone needs a prayer for healing, we give them that prayer and we bless them in the name of the Lord. Because? Because the son of God is prepared for any situation. When you are filled with the Holy Spirit you are a source of power and that power takes whatever form it takes.

Whatever is needed you can give to people, that was what characterized the Lord Jesus Christ. In one of his miracles we see him preaching to the crowd all day, day passes and night comes and the disciples say to Jesus Christ, 'Lord, send them away because it is already night and send them to buy food where they can', and the Lord tells them 'no, give him something to eat'. The heart of the Lord had compassion at that moment. He gave them spiritual food, biblical teaching but there was also another physical need for food, the Lord also had power and multiplied the loaves and fish and fed the whole crowd.

Do you see, brother? That is the balance that I love about Jesus, compassion, love, knowledge of the word of God and anointing when it was also necessary. Let's not focus on just one thing, but on the totality of God's revelation. the Lord was teaching in the synagogue, at the moment his eye focuses on a woman in need. This woman does not need teaching, although perhaps she needed it to a certain extent, she did not need food, she perhaps did not need company at that moment, she needed a healing miracle and that is what the Lord gave her. So, that balance for me is a powerful community, it is not a community just miracles, miracles, miracles, but it is a community that has all the anointing of God in all dimensions.

Now let's look at the miracle that the Lord does. This woman says that her condition was extreme, the word used in the original Greek is 'suncuopto' which translates into Spanish bent, and the prefix 'sun' what it means is like together. This woman was closed in on herself, she was so bent that she was hunched over on herself, she was totally one thing, she was bent from the neck down and she was 18 years old in that condition. And I imagine that poor woman coming to that synagogue year after year with her shame walking through the streets of the city and people looked at her with pity, perhaps even disgust, horror to a certain extent, this poor woman was a human spectacle. And she came to that congregation and no one realized, perhaps not even herself, that what she had perhaps went to a chiropractor and they told her, well, your vertebrae are a little weak and you have a lack of calcium and he gave you some pills calcium. But do you know what the problem was in this case of this woman? There was a demon spirit in her.

Look at what the word says here, it is very clear, it says that he had a spirit of illness. And in the ministry of Jesus Christ we sometimes see people who have, for example, the spirit of deaf-mute, or the spirit of muteness, and in this case this woman had a spirit that manifested itself in a very severe curvature. The origin of that particular illness of hers, not all illnesses are obviously of demonic origin, we know that, but that woman's fundamental origin was, there was a spirit.

And I wonder, brothers, are you not curious what this spirit was doing there and why it manifested itself and what is an evil spirit? There are spirits that have a harmful, destructive nature and when they infect a person, they infect him with their evil, they infect him with their specialty, so to speak, demonic. And this spirit, sticking to this woman, bent her body. And I believe that his pleasure was to keep this daughter of God totally helpless and devoid of her humanity as God had designed her, because the spirits only know how to kill, steal and destroy and there was nonetheless the Lord of life, the Lord who had He came so that humanity would have and have abundant life.

And there was a power struggle at that moment and the Lord approached this woman, laid hands on her and says that immediately the woman was straightened up. I was telling the brothers this morning that there are some videos that I want to see when they go to heaven and one of them is this woman when she straightened up completely, what a show that would have been, right? The people had seen her every day enter the synagogue and at the moment this woman was perhaps three feet four feet tall and at the moment the people realized, hey, but she is a very tall woman, she is 5,8 or 6 feet or whatever, because he was able to return to his normal height. His body returned to function as God had designed it.

Meanwhile the devil had her bent over, tied up, unable to enjoy life, unable to look up at the sky. You know, I think that's why it was clearly something demonic. To me this woman represents humanity in its fallen condition. Do you know how men live? Likewise hunched over without being able to look at the sky, always looking at the earth, always looking at time and space, always looking at circumstances, always looking at matter, always looking at their condition and their situation and the devil has his mind blinded so that they cannot look up to God and say, Father, save me, heal me, cleanse me, break my bonds. The devil wants our gaze to always be like this woman's, looking down at the floor and what the devil wants is to humiliate people, steal their dignity, steal their humanity, make them a show in front of others.

Christ has come to undo the works of the devil. Christ has come to set the captive free. Christ has come to straighten the crooked. Christ has come so that the devil knows that he already has news to evict the house in the name of Jesus. This world is currently occupied by demonic powers. Satan is the prince of this world and he has taken authority where he should not have authority and the Kingdom of Heaven has come to notify the demons that he no longer has power over humanity legally speaking.

Now, everyone who accepts the government of the Kingdom of Heaven is a citizen who has power and authority over demons. And you don't have to live your life in torment, you don't have to live your life in bondage, you don't have to live your life in prison, you don't have to live your life under any kind of yoke because the Lord has broken yokes.

And this woman needed a deliverance that only Christ can give her. And what strikes me is this, brothers, that's why I say, the contrast between an impotent church and a powerful church. Look, this woman had been in that synagogue all those years as I was saying, no one had ever realized the origin of her illness, nothing had ever happened there to show that it was a demonic spirit that was inside that woman, there was no there was power to free her from her bondage. And so there are so many Christians and so many churches where we do not have the power to free lives, to regenerate people, so that there are changes. People come to churches and many of us are tied up and struggling with so many things and there is no power to set people free.

That is why I tell you, brothers, we have to seek more and more as a church the power of God. We cannot be satisfied with beautiful services, with very well perfumed people and with good paint on the walls and a lot of gadgets and a lot of good music, if the power of God is not with us, none of these things are useless. We have to ask the Lord, Lord, anoint us more each day, fill us more with the Holy Spirit. That is the great hunger in this time of my life. We do not want to continue playing church, we are fed up with that, brothers, we need to go more and more to the power of God, we want vital lives. And if in your life you are not experiencing that fullness of the Holy Spirit, if your life does not reflect, brother, sister, that fullness, that effectiveness of the Son of God, I encourage you, keep looking for more, do not settle where you are. Study the word of the Lord, pray, fast, consecrate yourself more to the Lord, stick to anointed people, dedicate more time to the Lord, go into a fast and tell the Lord, I will not leave you until you bless me, as Jacob told him to the angel Don't settle for religion, don't settle for just coming to church, don't settle for saying, oh, I'm an evangelical. No, I want to live a vital life, a life filled with the Holy Spirit, a life that overflows with joy, a life that can understand the mysteries of the Gospel. The evangelical church in the United States and throughout the West, because in many other countries God is doing interesting things in Africa, in Asia, in Latin America, there are many people, there are many people who know the power of God. They have their own faults but they know at least the supernatural power of God to some degree. In all the West there is a need to know more about the power of God, we must be preaching the Gospel of power. Because? Because there are churches that are empty, they are weak, there is no authority against the powers of the devil and people come tied up and they also go on with their lives. I believe that when there is an environment of power, the demons have to reveal themselves, they have to come out to be reprimanded and cast out.

Last Sunday in the prayer service that we had in the afternoon, at 4 o'clock they began at 6 o'clock, I had the opportunity to pray for a sister, she comes here to church, she is new to the congregation and there when we were praying with her, because it was a beautiful time, brothers, that was the glory of God last Sunday and there was a lady there and I just went over to pray for her because she was with another sister from the congregation and I didn't recognize her and At the moment we were praying for her, that sister fell to the floor and had been feeling a very strong headache and one of the things that happens when there is an atmosphere of power like the one that was here during prayer time, the power of the enemy. it manifests itself in physical symptoms in people. I have heard of people who feel anger, feel like running away from the church, feel like attacking the pastor, feel hate, a lot of things, it's not them, it's the spirit that is inside them that feels uncomfortable because of the environment. of power where they are. And that woman got up freed from where she was because there was anointing in that environment, there was the power of God. and that is why I say, Lord, help us to cultivate more and more the power of God, that is why our services, as much as possible, have to include a lot of prayer.

This morning we began the service in prayer. We spent about 15, 20 minutes praying and praising freely and when the praise began, the atmosphere was full of God's power. We had such lovely service this afternoon as well. Because? Because you have to take time, because we Christians combine spiritual processes in a different way than the world does. You can complete the entire program that was proposed and nothing happen because that was not what God wanted. God wanted the people to do something else, but since we did not discern what God wanted, well, we completed the program but the liberation that God wants in our lives is not given.

What do we want? Fill the schedule or do things the way God wants them to be done? I think the latter, right? And so that is why the church, we have to go more and more maturing as God's people. the Christian show we have to put aside. People come here many times for a theater, people go to church sometimes to see a performance. No, we come here to do spiritual warfare, we come here to be liberated, we come here to sweat, we come here to shed tears, we come here to shout if we have to, to laugh if we have to, to jump, to raise our hands, to to do the work of God here in favor of this city that needs liberation.

And that's why when we leave here if we have adored the Lord properly, we leave nourished, ready to face whatever comes our way. This synagogue did not have that power except now that Christ was in the midst of it. 18 years old this hunched over woman, one minute in the presence of Jesus and she was completely released. That demon was forced to flee. And we have to ask the Lord, the Father, we do not want to be the synagogue, we want to be the church of Jesus Christ with Christ in the center, Christ doing his works of power, Christ carrying out his work.

And it is important that we see that, brothers, the world like this stooped woman who is an image of the fallen world, the world oppressed by the devil, the world distorted by the enemy, that world needs people with the anointing of God that they lay hands on, pray for them, tell them, you are healed in the name of Jesus. And that is why that church needs to be raised up by the Lord.

I had a dream that I shared with the brothers this morning a few months ago, and I don't think I've shared it here either. A few months ago those dreams that I have had throughout my life that have left me intrigued, have left me with a burden in my spirit knowing that I have received something from God. In that dream I saw an archer, a man with a bow, a warrior take a bow in his hand and take an arrow, draw the bow and shoot an arrow across a field in front of me. I could see the field and I could see at one end this man, a warrior dressed as a warrior with that bow, and he took the arrow and shot it into space. And that arrow traveled through that field, a very long journey and I knew in my spirit that that archer was a demonic personage, he was a representative of hell and that this arrow that he was shooting into the air was shooting to demarcate territory, to mark the territory that belonged to Satan, to the kingdom of hell. And that arrow fell, because of those things of the dream symbols, it's like this archer was at one end and at the other end was the patio of my house. And it was like my backyard had a high fence and the arrow fell a few feet from my backyard. And I knew that in the dream they were telling me, all that territory that that arrow has traveled to where it landed, that belongs to Satan, it belongs to hell, and that territory you are not supposed to touch.

When that arrow landed near the fence in my yard, it wasn't an arrow anymore, it was a golden spear about 8 feet high, very ornate, because the devil is very elegant, so that you know, it is a kingdom of power, it is an evil, psychopathic general, but it is a general but it has a lot of power and a lot of evil dignity. And when that very ornate and very powerful spear fell, I could see through the eyes in my dream, I could see the hole it made, the grass opened up, and I could see the ground open up with the bits of grass where it landed. that spear, stuck like that.

And I took the spear in my hand, ripped it out of the ground and brought it into the patio of my house and laid it on top of it as a sign of defiance and of not recognizing the challenge that was being thrown at me. . Because I understood that if I accepted what was being said to me, it was an implicit defeat. And brothers, Satan has no power, Satan does not have the right, he does not have the legitimacy to occupy the world. He wants us to believe that we are powerless against his power, and if we let ourselves be intimidated, he will do whatever he wants in the world.

Now, at one point I could see how from a height, in that field that had been demarcated by that arrow that had traveled, I saw scenes of people who were walking and entered as in a fight that had between demons themselves, and those people kind of fell into that fight and the demons in their own fight among themselves, hurt this person who had fallen into that evil dynamic. And in my dream I thought, they killed that person because the outrage experienced by those people was so great that it would seem as if they were not going to survive, but no, they left the fight battered and staggering like drunkards and continued walking. And I saw

that like two or three times in quick succession in the dream.

And I understood in the dream that I was being given an image about Satan demarcating territory and saying, this territory is mine. The church should not enter there, there only between me, and that is my territory and if you enter that territory, know that you are going to be making war with me.

And so there are people in this world, like those people I saw in the dream, mistreated by the devil, in this world dominated by Satan what we have is that: people under the yoke of sin, people deformed, people who are being distorted and neurotized by the power of the enemy and only a powerful church, only an anointed church will be able to wage effective war against the powers of the devil. That kingdom of Satan is not just any kingdom, brothers, and when we face that kingdom we have to know that we are going to fight, that we have to have all the anointing of God.

The Lord Jesus Christ said, all power is given to me in heaven and on earth therefore go and preach the Gospel. We cannot go against that enemy force if we do not have God's anointing and we are not well protected, because it is an incarnated fight, brothers, and the most beautiful one is going to receive a few hits, as we say out there, in that fight.

Now, the Lord Jesus Christ said, no one can plunder a strong man's house unless he first binds him. And only after he has been tied up can he plunder his house. Satan is occupying, the strong man of this country and of this world is called Satan and he needs a powerful church, a church full of God's wisdom, a church with God's strategy, a church anointed with the Holy Spirit that can take away souls like this stooped woman.

Please the Lord, brothers, that we understand this. God wants to raise up an apostolic church. I'm going to ask the musicians to come here please. God wants to raise up an apostolic church. God wants to raise up a church filled with the Holy Spirit. At this time in history things are going to get worse and worse. They are not going to get better, we are going to need the power of God more than ever. Men are going to be more and more mistreated by the enemy, there are going to be more spiritual struggles, there are going to be more needs than ever, there are going to be more diseases than ever and only a people that knows how to make war in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ may be effective.

And I ask that the Lord raise up apostolic men and women, anointed men and women, men and women who know the word of God, men and women who walk in holiness and who walk according to the commandments of the Lord , so that God can do the work he wants to do in our lives.

I pray to the Lord that our church can reach that height, that it can reach that power, that there are no bent over women, or bent over men in our congregation being oppressed by the devil, that there is always a vision an X-ray that can see what's behind it and go right to the heart of the need, a church capable of signs, wonders, miracles and that is longing and hungry for more of God's power in our lives.

Brothers, would you like to be part of this new army that God is raising up? Amen. I want to be part of that church. We do not want a program church, we do not want a routine church, we do not want a show church, we do not want even a superficial church that is only after miracles, jumping from one place to another, we want a sober church, a mature church , a church anchored in the power and word of God, a church of works, power and mercy, a church that exemplifies the character of Jesus. And we have to be glued to Christ, glued to Christ, glued to him as he says.

It is only in this way that we are going to receive what we need. I want to challenge you in the name of the Lord this afternoon to make a pact again that you are not going to be a mediocre Christian, when you see the opportunity to study the word of the Lord, we always have discipleship courses and programs here for our children, for adults, for young people. I encourage you to register for those teachings, they are so necessary. You cannot have power without knowing the word of the Lord.

When there are times for prayer, brothers, look, on Sunday I was tired, very tired like Jericó in this case, and we had this service at 6 in the afternoon and the truth is that I tell you, I wasn't so happy to have to start service at 6, but guess what? When it was over at about half past eight I felt as if the power of God had completely descended on me, I was so glad to be there at that time of prayer. It was Mother's Day, I know for many of you to go home and come back again but we have to make a vow to want to seek more of the Lord's anointing. There is a price to pay. We cannot only live on Sunday. Sunday is fine, and I want Sundays to always come, but there are other occasions that you can seek the power of God in your life and in your own home too, take time to pray, take time to bless your house, take time to tie the strong man who wants to get into that house and wreak havoc on it. And tell the devil, you are not going to pass through here because my family is covered with the blood of Jesus.

That image occurs to me right now, brothers, and I believe that the Lord puts it in my heart. Do you remember when God sent the angel of death in Egypt to kill all the firstborn, what did he tell the Jews to do? That they take a lamb, a symbol of the immolated lamb that was going to be Christ Jesus and that they paint the lintel of their house, that is, the door of their house with the blood of the lamb. And when the angel of death passed through the neighborhoods there in those neighborhoods lived Jews and Egyptians, people who knew of the power of God and people who were completely ignorant of the power of God. When the angel of death passed by to kill the firstborn, if he saw blood on the doorpost, he would pass by and that family would be released.

We have to write the blood of Jesus on our doors, but not write it as a talisman, write it as a prayer, write it with statements of power, write it with praise, paint the blood of the lamb of God with a life attract the presence of the Holy Spirit. Our family needs healing, there is a lot of fighting today, there is a lot of oppression in the homes, there is an enemy who wants to kill, steal and destroy and who says, this world belongs to me, this neighborhood belongs to me, this building belongs to me. it belongs to me, this family belongs to me and you have to have power and wisdom to tell you, liars, this family belongs to Jesus Christ property of the Kingdom of God.

How are we going to obtain that power, brothers? It is through a search for the power of God. God's power is not acquired by inertia, it is not acquired simply by accident, we must seek it, we must cry out to the Lord, we must pay the price, we must fast, pray, worship, read the word, congregate, we have to be The times are no longer for playing church, the times are serious. These are bad times and we must strengthen ourselves and we must establish the presence of the Holy Spirit in our churches, jobs, neighborhoods, buildings, schools.

When you go to school, your workplace, say here enter the Kingdom of God with me and I bless this place, and I place it under the authority of the Kingdom of God. if we did that in our neighborhoods, brothers, if in each street there was someone crying out and saying, Lord, I give this street to the Kingdom of God and I order that the order of God enter this street. And if there is disorder, if there is shouting, if there is a fight, little by little that street is going to be ordered and it is going to be taking the order of the Kingdom of God. Because, brothers, we have the power, the devil does not have the power. The power is held by the church of Jesus Christ, all power has been given to the church, brothers.

We are going to fill ourselves with that power of God, we are going to cry out to the Lord, we are going to ask the Lord to descend upon our lives. Oh in the name of Jesus. Let us not waste the anointing that God has placed on us.

Tell the devil right now, you are not going to get away with it in my life, that problem that I am fighting, I am going to defeat it in the name of Jesus, no more depression, that disease will be healed in the name of Christ, that economic lack will be replaced with provision from God, that depression will go away, that anxiety will submit to God's order, those fears, those doubts, those sins are subject to the word of the Lord, to the power of God. I submit that hesitation to the word, to the authority of the Lord.

We are going to cry out, we are going to use that power that is in our lives. Take a moment there and be filled with the spirit of the Lord again, say to the Holy Ghost, I receive you, I receive your power, I receive your anointing, I receive your filling, double portion of the Holy Spirit this afternoon for your people, Lord in the name of Jesus, fill, fill your children now with the power of God. Renew minds, Lord, open understanding, Father, remove the veil.

Lord take away the veil of ignorance and misunderstanding and make us whole, give us your power.

Give us your power, Lord, make us a powerful people, make us a people filled with the Holy Spirit. Pour out your anointing now, Father, that we leave here refreshed, that we leave here with our batteries full of the power of God, that we leave here with new strength, oh God, new encouragement, new joy. Oh Lord, may the wind of your spirit carry away all the evil of the enemy, all the ravens that the devil tries to bring into our lives, we rebuke them and drive them out this afternoon, and we are filled with the Holy Spirit.

I receive a fresh spirit from the Lord this afternoon, freshness from the Lord, the breeze of the Lord blows over your life, brother, sister, new strength, new vision, renewal of the power of God. Hallelujah! Glory to the name of the Lord.
