Summary: Pastor Paul Taylor speaks about the need for Christians to change their way of thinking and understand their purpose in life. He emphasizes the importance of aligning oneself with God and understanding that doing what one was created to do is also doing God's work. He shares a testimony of how God healed a baby in the womb through prayer and speaking to the baby. He challenges the audience to view Monday mornings as an opportunity to do God's work in their workplaces and occupations. He wants to release an army of God who will go out under the anointing of the Holy Spirit to do what they've always been doing, but with a different perspective.
The speaker encourages his audience to change their thinking about the work of God. He believes that everyone was created with a purpose, and doing what you were created to do is worship. He wants to release an army of God to impact the seven mountains of influence in society, which include areas like business, education, and media. He believes that the problems of the world are opportunities for believers to make a difference and bring heaven to earth. The speaker shares examples of his ministry, which includes teaching ethics in the business world and teaching life skills in public schools. He encourages his audience to talk to people about their problems and meet their needs. He challenges the idea that work is a curse and emphasizes that we are created for a purpose.
This passage talks about how we were created in God's image and were created to rule and work, not just to go to heaven. God is waiting for us to fulfill our purpose and desires, and when we listen to Him, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. We have the power to think as God thinks and be a living being, not just a human being. Our work is our worship and we were created to change the climate and culture of the world. The earth was cursed but Jesus broke the curse and our supply is connected to the land. Creation is waiting for us to fulfill our purpose as children of God.
The speaker believes that creation is waiting for the revealing of the sons of God, which includes the congregation. They believe that the congregation is anointed by God to do His work and to not just be mere workers. The speaker prays for the congregation to receive a fresh vision, revelation, and anointing to fulfill God's calling on their lives. The congregation is encouraged to go in the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit and to expect great things from themselves.

I now have the privilege of introducing Pastor Paul Taylor, Reverend Paul Taylor, he is a friend of many years and a passionate man of God. Passionate about the Gospel, radically committed. He is a man radically committed to the Kingdom of God.
You know that one of our values as a church is to produce people who are radically committed to the Kingdom of God, and he represents that as a pastor, passionate about seeing the Kingdom of Jesus Christ established in the city and in the structures of this nation, of this society. He has paid a price for that through the years, but he is a man of integrity who lives what he preaches and represents that supernatural mentality that we have been talking about these days, that mentality that moves in the zone of the spirit and who knows those dimensions of the spirit. I respect him a lot, he is a personal friend, as I said.
This morning he is going to be talking to us about precisely how to penetrate those structures with the values and principles of the Gospel. I'm going to be translating it for him so that this flows as smoothly as possible. Pray for me so that the Lord gives me understanding and also pray for our brother Paul so that God will use him greatly. Give a mighty welcome to Paul.
What a blessing it is to be here today. I want you to turn to the person next to you and say 'I am part of a great church. Do you believe that this morning? And now I want you to say, 'I am a great church. And I'm hoping that I can convey that mentality of being the church of Christ to you this morning because there are too many Christians who attend a big church and therefore Sunday is the best day of the whole week.
But I want you to know through Jesus Christ that Monday can be the best day of the whole week. Amen. The Lord did not die on the cross for Sunday. He died on the cross for Monday through the same Saturday as well.
It was a few years ago that I came here and spoke to you, we laid hands on your pastor and anointed him as an Apostle to this city and this region. And God has blessed him mightily. Amen.
This is truly a great church and it has given you not only a great leader but also great leaders: Pastor Gregory, Samuel and some of the others here. Wonderful men and women of God. But today I am here for you. God has placed a call on my life to raise up an army of people, a people that seek his face, but after seeking his face, they go out to earth as a great army of God. I believe that many people are waiting for this great army to arrive. You know what? It's here this morning, in this place. I just told you, you heard me, that you are here in this place this morning. Amen.
And so I want you to stand up right now. As I stood here worshiping, the Lord commanded me to pray for you and to pray for a mentality, a way of thinking that often tells us, well, I'm Hispanic and I'm in a different, strange, and usually a different nation. we feel so powerless, what can I do for God?
And so this morning we want to break that kind of thinking. I'm here to tell you that you can make a difference, but you have to think differently. They must have confidence in God's call on their lives. You must understand what you were created for, why God created you, and the purpose for which you were born into this world.
How many of you think you have a purpose in this life? God does not create anything without a purpose. Before you were born God already had thoughts about you, and he knew why he had to create you. But the sad thing is that there are many believers who do not know what their purpose in life is.
Let's pray right now. Are you believing with me, brothers? Young people, do you believe what I am saying? Let's break despair and hopelessness this morning. We're going to break discouragement this morning. And I don't care what the world looks like out there, I know what the word of God declares.
But you have to believe it. So change your thinking. Let's pray in the name of Jesus, we take authority this morning. And we come against all thought, all our way of thinking. Father, this people that you have gathered, people from different nations that you have brought to America for such a time as this, in the name of Jesus, break from them every thought of unimportance, every thought that suggests they are not here. height, every thought that says they can't make a difference, whether it's because their language impedes them, or because of their education or because of their profession or occupation, whatever the impediment in the name of Jesus, this morning we break these thoughts and we detach from them. And by the power of the blood of Christ Jesus I call you to enter your destiny, I call you to listen, I call you to see, and I call you to understand this morning so that you may become all that you have created you to be. and I declare that they are to fulfill their destiny from here on out in the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Glory to the Lord. Give the Lord a big round of applause. Hallelujah! We receive your word, Lord.
Have a seat, my brothers. I do not take those words lightly. Perhaps you took it lightly, but I believe that there is an army of God in this place and that we can change this world for Jesus but it is going to take more than just prayer. Many of you know that for years I have been part of a national prayer movement. There is nothing greater that we can do than pray to the Lord. but not only my prayers, but also my actions and my obedience to what God dictates or commands me to do is what makes the difference.
The Lord not only prayed but in John 5:19 also declares that he only did those things that he saw his Father do and heard his Father declare. Are my friends with me? It is time not only to pray but also to listen and obey what God is saying. You and God make up the majority.
I thank you so much for your pastor for what God has changed me, transitioned me to do. A lot of what I'm doing now has a lot to do with what your pastor stands for. I have realized after many years in the national prayer movement, and by the way I just came from Colorado Springs in the state of Colorado with some of the most well known national prophets and for the last three years I have been going through a transition which has not been comfortable at all. And to be honest it's been hell.
Has anyone gone through that transition? Amen. And when I went to that meeting, that session in Colorado Springs, one of the things I discovered is that I was not alone in that painful transition process, but that God is transferring his church to another level. How many know when you gave your life to Jesus Christ you said, I will walk with God. Amen. And that means you have to go where God goes.
He doesn't go where you go, but you go where God goes. Now right? Amen. That requires a change in our American way of thinking. Somehow we are always thinking like God is going to do what I want him to do, and when I want him to do it. But when one truly finds God, things often get very uncomfortable. And I see some nodding heads out there.
I want you to know that American Christianity has brought us to a place that is often a place of dysfunction in the body of Christ because we tell people, for example, 'come to Jesus and he He will take care of solving all your problems'. How many know that this is only half the truth at best? We have distorted Matthew 6:33 which states, there it does not say that God will meet all our needs and then we can go seek the Kingdom of God. Amen. There it says rather, seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and all other things will be added to you. Amen.
I'm saying these things this morning to set the context, the foundation, for what I want to share with you. Because, you see, I grew up in a military home. My father never once asked me if I felt like doing something, he simply told me, today you are going to cut the grass. He never asked me, do you feel like cutting the grass this morning? I do not come this morning as the good shepherd, I come as the lion of the tribe of Judah. And in this conference where I was, that's just what they said about something that's rising up this morning, that spirit, the lion of the tribe of Judah.
You see the change, the transition that is taking place is that we no longer have to be begging God to do something, but God is calling the church to stand up, to stand up, affirm itself, to declare things and shout so that things are prophetically established. Do you understand the difference that I am referring to? That is what the word of the Lord says. It says, talk to things and it will be established.
We recently had a similar experience. A grandmother from our church, her daughter was pregnant, the mother's baby was in an inappropriate, dangerous position, it could not come out normally and the doctor told the mother that if that baby is not corrected in its position we are going to have to operate it emergency This mother is not a believer but she immediately called the grandmother who is in our church and said, 'Grandma, this is what the doctor said but I don't want an operation.' So the grandmother who is in our church said, let's pray. So she distributed the petition through the entire congregation and we went inside to pray.
And while my wife was praying asking the Lord, God said these words to her, 'Why are you asking me? He told her, talk to the baby, talk to the baby. So we spoke to the baby, we said 'change your position in the name of Jesus. And the next day early in the morning the mother went to see the doctor and you can imagine the rest of the story.
I'm talking about taking your authority in Christ Jesus. We have to understand this unity that we have with the spirit of God so that it is not just us speaking, but God speaking through us. amen
Now, keep that thought soaking in there. I'm here to talk to you about something this morning. For the past several years your pastor has challenged me. We realized that we were fighting gay marriage and that we were fighting a battle for which we were clearly not prepared. And the reason was because we are very good at going to church but we are not very good at being church. Amen. And that means tomorrow Monday morning you're still supposed to be in church.
Didn't the word of the Lord say that God will never leave you or forsake you? And that means that that wonderful anointing that you feel right now will be with you tomorrow morning as well. How many like Monday mornings? Most people dread going to work on Monday morning. That, brothers, has to change. That sense of expectation you feel coming to church on Sunday morning should be the same expectation you have going to work Monday morning. So I want this morning to try to change the way you look at things. I want to challenge your way of thinking, I want to challenge your theology.
So several years ago, I met with a group of believers who believed we could change the region. I believe we can change Boston but it's not just going to happen from this pulpit, it has to happen as you go to your place of work and occupation. Throughout the Scriptures we see God using people whom he has strategically placed for his purposes, for his divinely determined times. The key is what your pastor has been talking about, that's called alignment. That means becoming one with God.
You see, if I am in alignment with God, that means that wherever I am, the Lord is also there. not only is he there but he is also doing what I am doing, he is in alignment with me, there is a unity because what I am doing is what he is doing. I want you to believe tomorrow when you go to work that you are doing God's business, that you are doing God's work, that Pastor Roberto is not the only one doing God's work.
Do they understand the change that has to take place in their way of thinking? For centuries we have taught and I myself have taught that it is the man of God who is doing the work of God. and that's right to a point, but when you do what you were created to do, you are also doing God's work. How many of you know that not everyone was created to be behind a pulpit preaching? Wouldn't it be truly horrible if we were the only ones doing God's work in the world? That would be awful. That God created you to do something he didn't want you to do. If we can understand this this morning I want to release an army of God this morning. I'm here to anoint God's army this morning believing that you're going to go out under the anointing of the Holy Spirit to do what you've always been doing on Mondays, but start to look at it in a different way.
The word of God says as a man thinks, so is he. The way of thinking is very important. You are not just going to work, you are going to minister, when you work you are going to do what God wants you to do, you are going to do what God has equipped you to do, you are going to do what God has gifted you to make.
How many carpenters do we have here this morning? You know what? Pastor Roberto cannot do carpentry, he was not called to do that but you were called to do that. and you were called to do carpentry for the glory of God. I am speaking the truth, brothers.
The first people in Scripture we see being specifically anointed are carpenters and craftsmen. They were anointed to build the temple, the tabernacle of God. So this morning I want to help you change your way of thinking.
A few years ago you will be able to read it here on the slide, by the way I am here representing a ministry called Fishgate or Puerta del Pescado, Ministry of the Fish Gate. That fish gate is mentioned in the book of Neemiah as one of the gates in the walls of Jerusalem where all the workers, the laborers, gathered and where the commerce of the city of Jerusalem took place. And I still pastor a church but I'm also trying to model for my people, my people, that you can go out into the world and make a difference. So I want to show you some other areas of this ministry that I'm involved in.
And I also want you to say this with me, the problems of the world are my opportunity. Let's say it again. The problems of the world are my opportunity. You see, if you are rubbing your hands because the world is getting darker and more terrible you have to change your thinking because you were created to be the solution to someone's problem. I could preach on this but I'm not going to do it this morning.
10 years ago, maybe 15 years ago a man named Bill Bright, the founder of Campus Crusade and another man named Lorren Cunningham had lunch together and unknown to both of them the night before each man had had a dream, each of those two men and in that dream they saw 7 mountains, 7 mountains. And those 7 mountains or mountains represented the mind shapers, that is, the mind shapers, or what we could also call those who influence our culture, each one of those mountains. And God spoke to each of them through this dream and told them, unless the church manages to influence those 7 mountains of influence in society there will never be a lasting revival on earth.
How many know that Christ said do business until I come? He didn't say hang in there tooth and nail until I come back, he said I have called you to dominance. I have called you to hold the world. I have called you to be more than conquerors. I have called you to be conquerors. I have called you to be victorious. But most of the church is crying, oh Lord Jesus come quickly and take us out of this world. I want you to know, I am not here this morning to help you go to heaven. I am here for you to bring heaven to earth.
Isn't that what Christ asked his disciples to pray for? Your Kingdom come, your will be done, where? On earth as it is done in heaven. How is that going to happen if we all go to heaven? It will only happen when you start thinking in a different way. When you know that you are filled with the Holy Spirit and when you know that you walk under the anointing of God, long after you leave this building, that you have the authority, wherever your feet may tread. Amen. Wherever you walk the word of God says, you will possess the land. Amen
the next day Bill Bright and Lorren Cunningham met for lunch, they began to share this same dream that he had had. They had both had the same dream and were absolutely overwhelmed, surprised. These 7 mentality shapers, those areas here are in front of you, note that of those 7 only one is religion. We have done a pretty good job in the religious area, however even in that area we have our struggles. But for years the church has ceded the arts and entertainment to the world, for years the church has ceded the world of business and government, the media and education has ceded to the world. We have taken the words of the New Testament that tells us, come out among them and separate yourselves and do not touch anything that is dirty or unclean.
We have interpreted that to mean that we should not touch any of those areas of the secular world and culture. And that mentality has to be broken. If that way of thinking does not change, we will never be able to impact our society and we will never become the church, that bride of Christ that he comes to look for in his second coming. The Lord comes looking for a church, brothers, without spot or wrinkles, a victorious church, a winning church, not a church that is there waving a little white flag asking for peace and asking the Lord to take it out of the world.
But brothers, I believe that you are God's army and you are continually hearing it from your pastor and your leaders. What has to change in order to become God's people for this specific time, so many of us believers have come together to say, hey, let's look at what the world's problems are and try to figure it out. solve these problems in the world.
We created a company called Generational Solutions because we believe we can impact all ages for the Kingdom of God. We started with a company called ROI International, it is a company that enters corporate America, business companies, etc., it teaches teachings on ethics and leadership, particularly ethics.
How many know that the business world needs teaching about ethics and moral behavior? How many know that the same government is forcing many companies to receive training in the area of ethics and morality in business? The government is commanding us, and forcing them to teach them about the area of ethics.
I'm telling you something, the problems of this world are going to work out for us in the end, they're going to work out for us, and some of you are going to make a lot of money actually doing this kind of teaching. Do you understand what I am telling you? The change in the money that the world withholds and that is going to enter the church is going to come through a change in the way of seeing things. How many know that you don't have to go into the secular world and always be quoting John 3:16? That you don't have to be telling people, oh I'm such a Reverend, that you don't have to always be talking in obscure Christian terms.
Do you know what that kind of Christian language is? It's the language we speak while we're here within the 4 walls of the church, but to the people out there, the people don't know what we're talking about, they don't understand that language.
God is saying, hey, be real, be normal. Don't talk to people in terms of Scripture, with obscure words that they don't understand, talk to them in a way that they can understand your language. And we also made another company called Los ABC de la vida. the public schools are calling us to go to the schools and teach their students about the facts of life because a lot of young people, do you know how big problems there are in school systems? Our young people are not prepared for life when they graduate from school.
Listen, we have to be gentle as doves but cunning as serpents. So even in the public schools they are forcing those youngsters who are being suspended from school not to be able to go home because the schools can't come to the house and teach them while they are suspended at home. And we are here saying, oh God please change the world. And God is telling us, open your eyes to see the problems that are everywhere and start to stand up and do the work of the ministry, but one has to go.
I think those are the words Jesus, go, go, where? To the world. Go to the world where the problems are where Jesus is needed there, so we are going to those places and we are teaching these people principles of the Kingdom that are found in the Bible, we never use the name of God, we never use the name of Jesus and yet after the class ends a student named José, a young Hispanic man who was in trouble came to our teacher, what's the difference what's so different with you? And now it's about something completely different. So then the teacher begins to share with Joseph about the love of God and Joseph right there bowed his head and gave his life to Jesus Christ.
And that's just the beginning of what God is beginning to do. I feel so encouraged about what God is getting ready to do. Our desire is to start this in each community to train pastors so that they can go to schools and teach this type of material, establish relationships with these children and young people, and this will be the way that I see that we can increase the Kingdom of God.
I'm encouraging you and I haven't even fully started preaching yet, if you just start talking to the people around you, the reason we don't need to... is because a lot of Sometimes we don't talk to people who have these problems, if one were talking to people who have problems one would find out what the problems are and then one could find out if it is possible to meet those needs or not.
I talk to my school superintendent all the time, I go out to my town's police chief all the time, and I talk to my community leaders all the time. They have problems. You see, the big problem with the church is that we haven't run into the problems before. We are here in the temple doing our thing, having a great time in our services, and I told them, I have not come here today as the good shepherd but I have come as the Lion of Judah so maybe you feel a little uncomfortable . This is the only way we are going to see the Kingdom of God as it is in heaven manifested on earth. You carry that power within you because the Kingdom of God, where is the Kingdom of God? It is within us.
This is our vision, the Puerta del Pescado ministry and all I want is to help change the way you think. So this morning we're looking at the theology of work. How many have thought many times that work is the curse? Be honest. Thanks thanks. There are some hands of honest people. We have always thought that work is the curse. And I want you to know that work is not a curse. I want you to know that from the beginning God who created you, you were born as a result of what God had deposited in you. That is already deposited in you. You were created by a word. You were created, I mean, by a word and you know that God uttered it, uttered it in order to exist. According to Psalm 139, verse 16 I believe, David says God knew my essence before I was even created.
Look, I am filled with joy when I think about it because what I am in God has very little to do with where I was born, it has very little to do with whether I am rich or poor, it has very little to do with little to do with me being black or yellow or red or whatever. Do you understand me this morning? It has to do with the fact that I was created before the foundation of the world. And he has created me for a purpose. And when I do what God created me to do that is true worship. Let me say it again, when creatures do what they were created to do, that constitutes true worship.
Do you think worship is only given at 9 am on Sundays? Let me tell you, I am doing what I was created to do right now. I'm worshiping the Lord, and when you go to work tomorrow and you know you're doing what God created you to do, I don't care if it's hammering nails. That is worship before God. and people then start to look and say, there is something different about that person. When you do what you do is incredible, there is an anointing that is placed on your life. They may not know what it means, but that is what they are going to be saying, they are going to say, there is something different about that person.
Are you with me this morning? So you were created by a word from God, you were not created just to die, you were created for a purpose. Amen.
Here are some Scriptures for you, God said, let us make man in our image and likeness, that they may rule over all the earth. Also Ephesians 2:10 says that we are his work. Do you believe that?
I am the handiwork of God made in a wonderful and terrible way created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared beforehand for us to walk in.
Go back and look at Genesis 2, God said, let us make man in our image and likeness. You look like him, turn to your partner and say, I look like God. that will stop you when you feel bad about your appearance.
Now, let's understand, we are not talking about our physical appearance, we are talking about the spirit of God that dwells within us. I look like God. Because when one begins to think in that way one begins to be filled with spirit and energy. I believe that the Creator of the universe pronounced me into existence and created me for his purposes, you can tell me what you want, it makes no difference. I am telling you that many of you have been told, you cannot do that, but God says, yes you can. And it is important that you begin to listen to God. He is the one who created you to do it. Stop listening to those who tell you, no way, you can't do it, it's not going to happen. I'm telling you yes, it's going to happen. But you have to believe it.
And here it says, God said let's make it in our image. Let them rule, tell your neighbor that they rule. You were created to rule. You were created to be the head, not the tail. You were called to live, you were called to lend to another, not for you to borrow. This is the word of God. We have to change our way of thinking.
It says here we have what is the history of man in the day that the Lord created the heavens and the earth before there were plants in the fields, before there were herbs in the fields because the Lord he had not yet caused it to rain on the earth and there was no man to till the earth.
So we see here that there is no land, there is no rain, there are no plants, there is no man, in other words there was no work, nothing is happening and God is waiting for you. God is waiting for you. I want you to know that God is still waiting for you. When I declared to the Lord, Lord, change the position of the baby, God told me, no, I am waiting for you. I am telling you today that many of the prayers that you are uttering, the reason why God is not answering them is because God is waiting for you.
That changes everything. I am giving you today the power to go and realize your dreams. Where do you think those dreams come from? They came from God. and you were created to rule and you're waiting on God and God is saying, hey, what are you waiting for? Do it.
Oh, at least there's someone saying amen in there. And then the Lord formed man, he formed him from the earth but that is not what you are. You were created before dust. Don't we thank the Lord for that? This is not who I am. Thank God I'm not just meat. I have the mind of Christ. I have said, I have the mind of Christ, if you are in Christ Jesus today you do not have the mind that man says you have, but you have the mind of Christ. You have the power to think as God thinks.
Some might think, well, that's proud to say that you think like God thinks and you know what? what is proud is to think merely like a man. I have said that it is proud to think merely as a man. You were not created to think like a man. I am speaking before the fall in Eden. How many of you understand that the blood of Jesus, you know what? Christ didn't do that just so I could go to heaven.
Second Corinthians, Chapter 5, what does it say there? He says, I have been reconciled, who? With God. I have been brought back to God. Amen.
You see, brothers, North American Christianity is always declaring this, asking simply that the Lord take us to heaven. The Lord did not simply die so that you would go to heaven, He died on the cross so that you could enter into a new relationship with your heavenly Father, so that you could be one with God again, so that you would have unity with God.
You see, that prefix re means to do it again, it means to return to the unity with God that we had before. When I was created in God I was not created merely as a human being I was created, God breathed into our nostrils and uttered the breath of life and then man became what? A human being? No, it became a living thing, a living thing, a living thing.
When you convert to Christ that human part, we are talking about the flesh, the body and I think we know that this is maintained but the living part, God makes us a living being again so that we can walk naturally and supernaturally on earth, so that those things that men think are impossible are not impossible with God, so that we can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens us.
This is what Christ died on the cross for, not just so you can say a prayer and then go to heaven while living miserably here on earth. They understand? Do you know how many Christian people live in a miserable way on earth? You live miserably on earth, you go to church simply out of duty and some of you here today are here out of duty, the same thing every Sunday, but that's not why we come to church. We come to church to unite with the body, to hear words of life, words of life, because, you see, each one of us does not live by the bread we eat but we live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Adam and Eve did not live only from the things they ate from the Garden of Eden but they lived by listening to God.
And that's why it's important that you have a personal relationship with God. you cannot live on the words of your pastor, you have to hear God directly, personally. Because when you hear God, when you hear God, I remember for example, I grew up in church and at the age of ten in a little Baptist church I went to the altar and prayed the sinner's prayer and I knew immediately that I was leaving. to heaven but it wasn't until I was 22 years old that I had a true encounter with God and God spoke to me and those words changed my life and I went from a human being to a living being. And I've never been the same again.
People would say to me, what's wrong with you? And even in the church they began to say, what's wrong with you, what problems do you have? They told me, but you used to love baseball, you were normal, you liked the things in the world, so they told me when one listens to the word of God, when he begins to speak to our lives, all other things pale, lose importance , but God then gives us the desires of our hearts.
My wife and I were dating for six years. We had the American dream, to have your own house, we saved every penny and just before we got married we bought our first house: $47,000 that house cost us. My dad thought, he will never be able to pay in 1979. We got married in June 1980. And it was precisely in those moments when I had my encounter with God.
We did everything possible to build that house. We were so happy as a newly married couple and a couple of years later, first child turns out, second child after that, but that encounter with God changed me. Everything that seemed very important to me then began to change. After 5 years of living in that house, I sold the house and went to do what God had called me to do. And like a good wife, my wife followed me, but she had never discovered this, for her to give up that house, you know, that instinct of the nest, of that place that is yours, it was very difficult for her. and I don't know why I'm sharing that with you this morning, so for 20 years we stayed in church-owned homes, parsonages, but there was always that place there in my wife's heart that said we don't have a home of our own. own.
There came a time when the church told us, they have to go. So at that time we had four children. And I said to the Lord, God, I obeyed you, where am I going to go? And God gave me a place to go. And I'm saying these things to share something specific: Thursday night I finally signed papers on a new house, a house of our own. God gives you the desires of your heart. Not only did I sign papers for a house of my own, I bought it for zero dollars.
I'm telling you, if you do what God has called you to do, all other things will be added to you. It says, the mind, it says that man is man formed, the garden is planted, the work is established by God, and the work then is supposed to be a cooperation with God. Note that sin is not being talked about at any time, there is no curse, the work is creative and of course the work that the work is not a result of the Fall but rather is God's purpose for creation, for your life.
Do you know how many people in America want to retire? Do you know how many die young? Listen, it is not God's wish for you to retire and just do nothing, vegetating. My work is my worship and if you find what God called you to do, you don't work anymore. Let me say it again, if you find out what God called you to do when he formed you before the foundation of the world, you will never work another day in your life.
and that's why I don't go to work saying, oh my God I have to go to work again. I am going to worship God with my work. There are 3 words for work: one is the word abad which means to cultivate the land, abodad the land and shamar which means to maintain, take care of the land. There are three words that are to serve, to cultivate, as in the sense of developing a culture or changing the climate of a culture. How many know that you were created to be a thermostat, not a thermometer? A thermometer simply records the temperature outside. That's what many of us have been doing in our culture for a long time. Just confirming how bad the culture is. And we don't know what we are going to do with our youth, for example.
You're just there, saying what they already know. One was created to be a thermostat. The thermostat has the power to change the temperature, to change the weather.
When you go to work tomorrow by your mere presence, because you don't go to work alone, see, when you show up to work, God also shows up there, you are going to change the climate of the culture instead of work. That's the only way Boston is going to be changed. Some of you have been praying for your workplace, the only way for you to change your workplace is that word aboda, which means to work, serve, adore, this word is used in the original Hebrew to talk about worship.
So in other parts of Scripture that word that is used for worship is also used for the same word for work. Are you understanding what I am saying?
Shamar another word to be like a guard to put, surveillance and that is what God has put us to do. He says, from every tree in the garden you will be able to eat, there is provision but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you will not eat. That produced lack. So the word says that God cursed the ground, cursed the ground, he didn't curse you, he cursed the ground.
Jesus broke the curse, he removed the curse. How many believe in transformation? Have any of you seen the transformation videos? How many believe that Boston can be transformed? How do you think that is going to happen? That is going to happen through you and me, not just our prayers, we have to infiltrate those same mountains because when we do that we break the curse that is on the earth.
So your supply is connected to your land. The earth was cursed, the curse was broken when Christ died on the cross and salvation came. When you were saved, your supply was also saved. Do you understand what I'm saying? That means that God can take his 5 loaves and two fish and feed a whole crowd. One and one does not mean two in the mind of God. Do you believe that? Especially when one is living in obedience to the Lord, that is called tithing. If one is putting up with God what is God's, then he is not obligated to honor his word. But he is a wonderful God, sometimes he blesses us when we are not giving him what belongs to him. What a beautiful God we serve.
It says here that the expectation of the creation that is looking forward to is the revealing of the sons of God. Do you know what creation awaits? Creation is waiting for you. How many know that you are a child of God? I have to finish because I could go on all the time. You are a child of the living God.
The book of Hebrews says that the Lord is not ashamed to call us brothers. Did you hear that? The Lord is not ashamed to call us brothers. It's time to get up, let's stand up, brothers. It says here that creation was subject to suffering, suffering so why do we go through the problems we have. Why does the world have so many problems? God has subjected creation to vanity. because? For us to turn our hearts towards him. That is why darkness is our greatest ally, what is happening right now in the world. You understand? That if you are praying for that person who does not know Christ and you are asking God to remove your problem from that person, it is possible that you are even working against God's purposes by trying to bring those people to Christ. Do you understand this? That God allows people many times to have problems so that they can say, I need God, because creation itself will be set free. Can we say amen? From the chain of corruption to glorious freedom so that you can understand what you are in Christ Jesus.
I'm going to end here. I know that I have talked a long time but I want to pray for you this morning. I came here once many years ago to anoint your pastor and I want to anoint you this morning, I want to anoint you as men and women of God. I want to declare over this congregation that you are the army of God and that you are anointed to do what God has called you to do and that from this day forward you are not going to go to work just like a mere worker, but they go to work to be God's anointed.
Do you believe that this morning? Come on, raise your hands this morning if you believe that. Keep your hands up right now let's pray. I am going to pray for an anointing on their lives. I did not come here by mere coincidence but I was sent by God, I came with a message so that God's people would be freed. And I came because you are so special, so special to him.
So right now Lord, Father, in the name of Jesus and in the power and anointing that you have given me I declare in the name of Jesus over your people, that they are to come out as workers created in Christ Jesus for a time like this and that even now, Lord, they will know that they are in that place for a purpose and that it may not be a comfortable place for them, but you called Joseph to go to the kingdom of pharaoh to be the answer to your word.
And Daniel entered Babylon, Esther on the throne of ..... Father you have located this people for a time like this and now Father, breathe, blow your Holy Spirit, blow your anointing on them and that they receive right now a fresh vision, a fresh revelation, a fresh anointing to do the work that you have called them to do. And we ask these things in the name of your Son Jesus Christ and everyone says amen.
Glory to God. Amen. Amen. I am expecting great things from you. To whom much is given, much is required, but I say, go in the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit. You can do it, I say, you can do it. Confirm that with your neighbor and say so, you can do it. God bless you.
