We reflect the creativity of God

Summary: The speaker emphasizes the creativity of God and how every human being reflects that creativity in some way. He also highlights how God has blessed his people with every spiritual gift, including musical, literary, scientific, educational, organizational, leadership, and supernatural gifts. However, many people fail to develop these gifts because they do not believe in themselves or receive affirmation from others. The speaker encourages people to fan into flame the gift of God within them, just as the Apostle Paul advised Timothy in 2 Timothy 1:6. He believes that the community has great potential to do great things for the glory of God, especially young people who have the potential to become doctors, lawyers, musicians, academics, governors, and politicians. The important thing is to believe in the spark of God within each person and undertake the journey of developing that gift to its full potential.

The author emphasizes the importance of developing the gifts that God has given us. He gives examples of people who have worked hard to develop their gifts, such as Billy Graham. He encourages readers to invest time and effort into their passions and talents, and to believe in their potential to achieve great things for the glory of God. The author also reminds readers that God has given us a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline, and that we should not be afraid to pursue our dreams and use our gifts to bless others.

I pray for God to raise up exemplary men and women in our church who bless the community. I declare His anointing and prosperity over this town in all areas of life. I thank God for the challenge to fan the fire of the gift of God within us, a fire that gives heat and life and melts everything cold and dead within us. I bless my brothers in the name of Jesus and pray for them to go in God's peace and be blessed.

The things that we have been preaching these Sundays about the gifts of the Holy Spirit, the life filled with the Holy Spirit, moving in the power and the anointing of the Holy Spirit. I believe that God has wanted to give us a graphic illustration of that through this moment.

We have a God who, his intention has been to bless his church with all the nutrients, all the skills, all the resources that the church needs to enrich its life and to undertake the different tasks that the Lord has entrusted to him until he comes.

My wife told me while we were sitting here for a little while, that when they were playing the first number with the musical group she, if I interpret her words correctly, had a kind of vision of the Lord moving over the waters saying, 'Let there be light, let there be the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the trees of the earth.' And it is no coincidence that this music provoked this type of vision because we have an eminently creative God, that is the essence of God's nature.

God is a creator God. He is the first creator of the universe. God is a novel writer and each one of us is the protagonist of one of God's novels. God is a writer of poems and our lives are living poems that are lived in the presence of the Lord. God is a writer of songs and melodies.

The philosophers of the Middle Ages thought that the planets revolving around their orbits and the suns that bind them to their attraction evoke music and have called it 'the music of the spheres', the hum of the planets.

If one could listen with supernatural ears to those planets circling the sun, at thousands of miles per hour, they emit a sound that glorifies the Lord. God is an eminently musical being. If we can conceive melodies and play them and compose melodies, it is because God put that melody in our hearts and in our spirit, because he wanted us, made in his image and likeness, to reflect his creativity.

And God is a God who creates life and that is why he has placed in us the capacity to procreate life also in a lesser way, obviously, but in any case it is an imitation of his capacity to create life. God has put in us scientific gifts to order the world that he has given us, he has put in us the scientific capacity to scrutinize the secrets that he has codified within nature. And he rejoices when his children decipher the riddles that he has put into nature and above all when his children give glory to the Lord for those discoveries.

Recently, in the last few days, science is celebrating one of the great triumphs of scientific advancement of the 21st century. New ways of creating cells, stem cells, have been discovered, which can assume certain shapes and in the not too distant future, in about 5, 7, 8 years, and marvelous things are already being done, these cells will be able to recreate tissues and heal destroyed organs and create new skin, and new nerves and new muscles and part of, I imagine, the human brain and other things, and diseases can be healed through the grafting of healthy cells that will then regenerate and restore tissues damaged and undone. This promises to revolutionize humanity.

Man is eminently creative because he has the essence of a creative God within him. We reflect the creativity of God. And within each one of us the creativity of God moves, what happens many times is that many of us, for reasons of circumstances in life and so many other things that kill our creativity, or do not allow us to get in touch with our creativity, or prevent us from developing our creativity to the level that God wants that creativity to take place. But every human being, I believe, is born with an endowment from God, with a touch, with an impression of the divine spirit, and every human being can potentially become great and powerful things.

The important thing is that we believe in the spark of God that is within each one of us. Now, what I just said applies to all humanity, but it applies above all to the church of Jesus Christ. If you are a member of God's people, I want you to know that in a very special way you carry the endowment of God's power within you. You have the gift of God within you. You have an ability to do things that is not possible for the natural man and everything depends on you believing this and receiving it in your heart and then living at the level of that creativity that God has placed in you.

In the epistle to the Ephesians, the Apostle Paul says the following: “....blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. ..”

Notice that Paul is speaking in the preterite, past tense saying that God blessed us with every spiritual blessing. God when he proffered the creation of his church along with the creation of his church declared gifts and blessings that began to circulate through the air where his church ran. And every time a person enters the realm of the Kingdom of God the blessing of God, divine energy runs through that person and that person receives the power and potentiality to do great things in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

How many believe that? At least say amen even if you don't believe it. God has blessed us with everything, everyone say 'everything', every spiritual blessing. That means, brothers, that here among us there are musical gifts, there are literary gifts, there are scientific gifts, there are educational gifts, there are organizational gifts, there are leadership gifts, there are supernatural gifts, such as gifts of healing, of prophecy, of spirit liberation. , discernment, faith, miracles, healings. These gifts are because God blessed us with every spiritual blessing.

Oh, if God's people would dare to believe that and live in that faith and in that belief, but unfortunately what the Lord said to me there while I was trying to put together what happened here with the word that I wanted to preach that I completely changed. I told myself, talk to them about the importance of developing the gifts that I have placed in them.

And actually, the key passage for this process is found in Second Timothy, Chapter 1, verse 6, where the Apostle Paul tells Timothy:

“... For this reason I advise you to fan the fire of the gift of God that is in you by the imposition of my hands, because God has not given us a spirit of cowardice but of power, love and self-control. ..”

The Apostle Paul is writing to Timothy, a young shepherd, a servant of the Lord. Timothy is already in the ways of God. Timothy is already being used by the Lord, but the Apostle Paul writes to this pastor, to this minister and says, 'Timothy, I advise you to fan into fire the gift of God that is in you.'

Look at the first thing there: Timothy had the gift of God within him, just as you have the gift of God within you. And Timothy, however, needed to stir up that gift that was within him. Timothy needed to focus on that gift and develop it to a higher level.

God has placed a gift in your life. God has placed an endowment of power in your life and many of us do not develop those gifts, as I said before, because they never made us think that we had anything of importance within us. Unfortunately, perhaps our parents were so involved in their work and so lacking in their lives, that they never had the time or the wisdom to make us believe that we had something worth developing within us.

I am glad that these brothers, Delmi MartĂnez, is a woman who believes in the gifts of God and her two children are in that group that went down there and she has always wanted, with her husband, to cultivate the gift of music in his children, because he believes that God has given him that gift and they have a great curiosity for music.

And it's great that these parents are invested in their children and have the diligence to tell me, 'Pastor, we can bring the children down here and pray for them.' That can tax something in the hearts of those children. That can be a prophetic act through which God's blessing is released within them.

Adlan said that someone gave him a piano when he was 3 years old. How will that person feel if they are still alive watching Adlan play like that? Could that person have imagined that this little piano was going to become a piano one day and that it was going to travel the countries of the world enriching and blessing the church and building up the people of God? But this person was moved to give that.

Brother, never spare a chance to bless someone with a word of affirmation, with an investment in their lives, with a gift. To the children, brothers, instead of giving them revolvers and monsters over there, we are going to give them books in the name of the Lord, amen, we are going to give them musical instruments in the name of the Lord, amen. Instead of giving them little games that hypnotize them and kill their creativity because they don't use their brains, we are going to give them a computer program, we are going to buy them a computer.

Brothers, many of us are there saving money so that one day this or that, and our children are languishing many times and we are not giving them the things they can receive to develop their intellects and their spirits, and their emotions. We have to invest in those things, brothers. I prefer at any moment to invest a dollar in the education of my daughters than in anything else on this earth because I am not going to be waiting for the day I die to leave them an inheritance, who knows what will become of that inheritance from here to there If I can now bless them by educating them, taking them to a museum, teaching them how to eat in a restaurant, how to go to a symphony music hall, or to a place even if they get bored, but I want to expose them to those energies and get them used to them, because one He doesn't know how from there the gift of God can be activated, how there in that place how the gift that Adlan had touched with that little piano and a giant woke up.

And many times we can be used by God in that way, to give someone something, to give them a word of affirmation, to pray for them, to develop the gift of God that is in them. If you see a young man out there crestfallen and discouraged, don't see a failure, see something of God that is being wasted and go and put your hand on that young man, encourage him, encourage him, bless him and if possible, pray for him and prophetically declare the development of the gift of God in his life. Believe in the power of God in you to develop those gifts, brothers.

God endows his people. When God calls a people and when God makes a pact with that people, it is because God wants to bless them, it is not possible to have an intimate relationship with God and not be enriched and impregnated with the life and power of God.

When God called Abraham, he said, 'Abraham, in you all the nations of the earth will be blessed.' And when God read the inheritance and his covenant to the Jewish people when they were just entering the land of Canaan, he told them 'I am going to make you head and not tail, you are going to borrow and you are not going to borrow. None of the diseases of Egypt will fall on you. There will be no sterile womb in you, there will be material abundance in your lives, and I will bless you as long as you remain attached to me, I will bless you...'

And brothers, I want to tell you that As your pastor, every time I look over you and preach about you, I see the great potential that this community has to do great things for the glory of the Lord, to break the devil's chains on our city, to bless the city, to Create young people filled with the Holy Spirit.

I see those young people up there and I see the potential, I see the great potential of God in your lives, young people. I see the goodness of God in your life. I see winners. I see young men and women that have the potential to do mighty, wonderful, powerful things for the glory of God. I see doctors, I see lawyers, I see musicians. I see all kinds of different things, doctors of philosophy, academics, governors of cities in estates and politicians who have positive influence over the life of society. I see that in you, I see the potential of God in you. It all depends on whether you can believe God and undertake the journey of the search for the full manifestation of the gifting of God in your life.

When I see the gift of God reflected in the people of God, I see an embryo, I see something that God has put there, its life, its potentiality, and then that person is supposed to believe that the God's potential is in him or her and then he launches himself to develop that gift that is in him.

Do not ask yourself if you have a gift, rather ask yourself how I can develop the gift of God that is in me. Since I was a child I have been possessed by a sense of the gift of God in my life and it is a shadow that has haunted me through the years, and I have wanted as much as possible to develop the gift of God in me. If I had not believed that, God would not have taken me, I believe, out of the poverty of the Dominican Republic to allow me to study in the best universities. And I say that to the glory of the Lord, but God put that burden to develop the gift.

I always saw myself studying, I always saw myself developing my academic gift, my intellectual gift, and to the glory of the Lord, God has taken me to the best universities: Harvard, Princeton, Andover, without paying a penny. Because? Because God is pleased to take the small, the fragile, the weak, the insignificant of the world and put it in high places for the glory of his name. I give glory to the Lord for that.

And when I see these musicians developing their gift here, they are Latinos who could be taking drugs on some corner or impregnating a young girl, or hurting someone, or killing someone with a bullet to the head, but they are glorifying the name of the Lord, worshiping the name of the Lord. That is what God wants, brothers, and that is what God wants for your life. That is what God wants for your family.

When God called the Hebrew people, He endowed them with every spiritual blessing, and although the Hebrew people have turned away from God by rejecting the Messiah that God has sent, nevertheless the blessing that God declared to their father , Abraham, persecutes them, has persecuted them throughout history and although that people has been trampled on, vilified, persecuted, mercilessly killed, that people, wherever they arrive, God places them at the head. At once, bankers, university professors, writers, intellectuals, and musicians appear.

Israel has produced more renowned men and women than any other country in the history of the world. That little town, persecuted and harassed wherever they have gone, why? Because God's blessing is upon them.

Now, brothers, I have something better to tell you, you are the chosen people of God, also the church of Jesus Christ and the new covenant of God is much more excellent than the first covenant, says the Lord's word. So you also have every right in the universe to expect that the blessing of God, the creativity of God, the excellence, the glory, the beauty, the harmony, the intelligence, the wisdom of God will manifest in your lives, in their generations, in their youth.

But many times what happened to Timoteo happens to us, we are like those loving little boys, those babies who are so attached to their mother that they do not develop the ability to move. You see that their muscles are like chubby, they are that way because they don't like to move. Mom sometimes has to push them to start walking because they are so close, so snuggled up to mom that they don't want to make an effort.

And many of us are like that. We enter the ways of the Lord, we love the Lord, we are happy to be in the family of God, but we are not developing our gifts, we are not making an effort to fan the fire of the gift of God that is already in us. That's why I rejoice when I see brothers than when I walk here through the church halls, during weeknights, and I see brothers learning English. Glory amen, that's why there's one or two there studying English, or at least they appreciate what they're studying.

Why, brothers? Because I see those people developing the gift of God that is in them. Don't think that because God put a gift in you that gift is just going to unfold like magic. When God puts his gift in your life, there is a part that you have to do. The gift of God is a potentiality, but if God developed the gifts independently of us, he would create parasites, he would create useless people. The gift of God is developed by cooperating with the Holy Spirit.

The first thing you have to do when you believe that God has placed a gift and you have to believe it if you are a child of God, you have to say, 'Father, ...I have and now I am going to add firewood so that this fire is big and powerful, I'm going to study.'

Do you think Billy Graham was a great evangelist overnight? I have told you, reading his autobiography, what he said: 'the first time he went to preach, they invited him to preach and he took about 5 sermons, just in case he lacked the time he could so less have access to another. He says that in 20 minutes he preached the 5 sermons he had and still had time to spare. But Billy Graham persisted, Billy Graham went to study. He studied at Whitton College, he studied in seminary, wherever he could preach, he preached even in the woods, all by himself there preaching to the trees and the birds to develop his gift. And little by little that gift developed until one day everything fell into place and a very famous and very rich man, Hearst, who owned many of the big newspapers here in the United States at that time, said, 'We're going to push to Billy Graham'. And overnight it became a great evangelistic power and the rest is history. The ministry of Billy Graham was launched, a ministry that covered and has covered the nations, because God has his time for everything.

When God endows a person, he then puts him to develop his gift and God expects you to fan the fire of God's gift that is already in you. That's why many of us haven't gotten to where we need to get. Sometimes we think that God unilaterally develops the gift in the person. No, the gifts have to work through study, through meditation, through fasting, through prayer, through exercising faith.

Many people, for example, have a prophetic gift within them, but many times God speaks to them and they feel something, a strong impression, but they cringe and do not declare it because they are shy or because they are lazy , or because they have other situations in their lives. And do you know what happens? When you do not develop the gift of God that is in you, you contrite the Holy Spirit, the gift dries up, the gift goes out. And God says, 'well, stubborn, I'm going to wait until daylight dawns and you start to believe that what I give is real in your life.

To whom much is given, much is asked, brothers. God expects us to work the gifts and take steps of faith. Nobody learns to walk overnight. One begins hesitating, staggering, hitting each other, making a fool of himself. People laugh at babies, very cute and all, but we adults like to do that. Then we cringe, we dare not.

How many men I often see in church do not open their mouths to sing? Unfortunately they do not dare to sing. It's not because they don't have a voice, it's because when they were children they were taught, men don't sing, that's for women. Understands? That has to be closed, it has to be rough, it has to be manly, etc, etc. So, there are many men who were raised not singing. That is interesting, just as they were not taught that they could cry, because crying was a thing for women. Their artistic ability to appreciate a good poem, a love song, express tenderness, feel fear, feel pain, and express what they felt was killed. They were not tuned into that dimension of their emotional life. So, all that potential to enrich your children, to bless your children with a word of blessing, or a kiss, or a word of affirmation, or expressing fear when they felt it, or admitting doubt when they felt it, all of that was extinguished in their lives. And when they arrive at church, and they enter the church and they are asked to sing and they think, 'if I start singing my wife is going to laugh at me, she has never seen me sing, or my children', and then they they remain silent, closed.

And the life of God wants to sprout from them. Who knows how many rich tenors and baritones there are in the congregation and we are not daring in the name of the Lord to release that song that has been wanting to leave our spirit for 40, 30 years. Dare in the name of Jesus.

Perhaps at first you will have a little voice, perhaps even a rooster will come out from time to time, but little by little your voice will be affirmed, your hearing will develop , your soul will gradually open up and you will be able to sing the melodies to the Lord as well, and that will heal you of many things and will put you in contact with a part of your spirit that needs to be released. But you have to develop the gift of God that is in you.

Young people, you want to achieve in life, you want to achieve great things. Don't think it's going to happen automatically. You have to invest, you have to work hard, you have to peel your eyelashes, you have to study several hours a day. Very few people can simply study for half an hour and go to school the next day and know everything. You have to work hard. You have to be systematic. You have to be persistent. You have to be disciplined, you have to specialize in small things. One must believe that a small habit persistently developed day after day after day creates big things over time.

But it's all a matter of effort. The Lord said to Joshua, 'Look, I am commanding you to strive and be brave, do not fear or dismay because I will be with you wherever you go.....'

Wherever I look in the word, I see God telling his people, 'be strong'. One of my favorite passages is in the book of Ecclesiastes where God tells the people of God, I would say, cast your bread into the waters because after many days it will return to you. Deal to 7 and 8, don't be scarce.

God invites us to dare to do great things. I recently gifted a subscription to Time Magazine to each of my two daughters. I had to invest about 30, 40 dollars in each of those subscriptions, but what I am doing at that moment, I am sowing in their future and I am making a prophetic gesture. I am believing that it can do something in your life and can enrich them. I know that they get annoyed with me because I am very insistent many times that they do their jobs and other things. But that is my calling, because I know that this is how the gifts of God develop.

God wants to create warriors. God wants to create strong and courageous men and women who believe and say, 'I have the gift of God within me and now I am going to launch myself to fully develop it and bring glory to the Lord.'

Brothers, if God has put in you any study curiosity, of whatever, some intellectual hunger, some artistic hunger, get to work on it. Lots of people want to play the piano but that requires every day you sit for half an hour, an hour there tapping your fingers and getting frustrated and getting over it, until finally the melodies that God wants them to come out inside of you begin to come out. But you have to believe in it, you have to say, 'I have God's blessing in me and now I am looking for it in the name of Jesus and God is going to develop it in my life.'

They I leave then with that word of the Apostle Paul, "....for which I advise you to fan the fire of the gift of God that is in you because God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and dominion own…”

May the Lord bless us, brothers. We are going to be a strong people. Let's stand up and let's give glory to the Lord. I want you to believe right now and tell yourself, God has placed a gift in my life. God has placed an endowment of power. I believe it, I receive it, I have it. Confess it in the name of the Lord and get to work on it, get to develop it, get to pursue what God has declared about your life. Believe in the name of Jesus what you have comes from him, what you have is not from man.

That restlessness that is inside you is not carnal, it is divine, it is spiritual. God wants to bless you. God wants to use you to bless the nations. God wants this community to be a community filled with the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit. God wants us to be enriched and prosperous and to believe that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is moving within us on this day.

Father, in the name of Jesus we reject all doubt, all inertia, all laziness that can be in us, Lord, and we believe that you have called us to scale great heights and do great things for glory and honor of your name And Father, we put aside the spirit of cowardice, of timidity, of being conservative and we dress ourselves in the habit of the warrior and we launch ourselves to seek our blessing in life.

I ask that you raise up men and women, Lord, exemplary in our church, people who bless the community and Father, I declare your anointing, your prosperity over this town in all areas of the life. Your shalom, Lord, which enriches and does not impoverish. Thank you, Father, that this word, Lord, this challenge of your Holy Spirit that advises us to fan the fire of the gift of God, because you have set fire, Father, is a burning fire, it is a fire that gives heat, it is a fire that gives Life is fire that melts everything cold and dead within us, it is fire that puts passion in the voice and faith in the mind and heart to do great things.

We received that fire, Lord. I commit myself, Father, with this church to develop your gift until it shines and covers, Lord, this entire region. I bless this town. Thank you for what we have received today. Thank you for what we have celebrated, Lord. And we are going from here to live victorious lives, Father, to be your chosen people, Lord, to be a people of power, an admirable people for the glory of the name of Jesus who is admirable in his name we pray these things and the people of God says: Amen and amen.

I bless you in the name of Jesus my brothers. Go with the peace of God. Be blessed.
