Summary: In this sermon, the preacher discusses the importance of the anointing of the Holy Spirit in the Christian life. He uses the story of Saul in the Old Testament to illustrate how even imperfect people can receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The preacher emphasizes the importance of using symbols and external actions in the Pentecostal tradition to access the depths of the spirit world. He encourages believers to live a life filled with the Holy Spirit and not be ignorant of the mysteries and subtleties of this spiritual dimension.
The anointing of the Holy Spirit is necessary for believers to fulfill difficult tasks beyond their own abilities. Praise and worship are important for the anointing to flow, but believers also need to actively seek and fan the flames of the anointing in their lives. The anointing opens up a supernatural dimension for believers, enabling them to perform extraordinary and supernatural works. Understanding the gifts of the Holy Spirit is also important for believers to grow and manifest these gifts.
The baptism of the Holy Spirit adds a dimension of potentiality to your life, allowing the gifts of God to manifest within you. However, it is up to you to cultivate and use these gifts. The Holy Spirit changes the wiring of your soul and spirit, leading to a passion and fire for the Lord, authority in speaking, and an ability to carry out tasks. When you receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit, you must believe and act on it in faith, doing whatever comes to your hand. Start small and do the best job possible, and God will give you more anointing. Fan the fire of the gift of God in you, and believe that God is with you, making you the majority wherever you are. Saul's heart was changed by the Spirit of God, and he prophesied among the prophets, leading people to marvel at the change in him.
The passage discusses the story of Saul and how he was anointed by God and prophesied with the prophets. The speaker emphasizes the importance of having the anointing of God in one's life and how it can lead to great things. They urge listeners to seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit and to be filled with the power of God. The speaker encourages individuals to take responsibility for their own anointing and to seek it out for themselves and their families. They end by asking the Lord for a fresh anointing and for the Holy Spirit to baptize them.
You know that this is a small series, within a larger series that I have called "doctrinal sermons" or "orthodox sermons" where I am going through different key doctrines of the Christian life for those who visit us and those who have not been lately here with us.
This is a series of sermons where I talk about the nuts and bolts of faith and Christian theology. And evidently one of the most important things is the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Because we have said that this is what maintains a vital spiritual life. What makes it possible for us not to fall, in light of what we have talked about the importance of works and grace, that we do not fall into rigidity, legalism, self-righteousness and the mechanical character that sometimes results when the anointing of the Holy Spirit is not lubricating.
Brothers, God bless you. I know you have to go preach elsewhere, may the Lord's grace be with you, thank you for visiting us and your blessing on your ministry, thank you brothers.
We have talked about the importance of oil, of the anointing of the spirit to, so to speak, lubricate the Christian life and keep us fresh, vital, joyful, fluid in the spirit, discerning the will of God according to the moment, according to the occasion and being… receiving wisdom from God for the challenges and the struggles of life.
And so we've been…we preached two sermons, because this Holy Spirit thing is something pretty vast as you can see. Honestly, I could spend several weeks talking only about the filling of the Holy Spirit and I could never exhaust all the deep dimensions.
And I want to, after that I will possibly go into the ministry of deliverance and spiritual warfare because that is part of a very important spiritual dimension. But we're going to talk like this about the filling of the Holy Spirit and I want to refer you now to the old testament.
Look, first of Samuel… (yes sister, if you tell me about the cards for visitors, if you visit us, please fill out the cards, visitors raise your hand for a moment, I know a sister Here you raised your hand who visits us and someone else so that we can give you a card and we can receive your name and... look over here there is another brother who also needs... and over here another one and God bless you. We are glad to have you with us)
First Samuel, chapter 9, let's go to chapter 9, first and then we're going to go to 10. First Samuel, chapter 9, here we see something, it's an event in the life of Saul, look at something, the doctrine of the baptism of the Holy Spirit is not something that is born in the book of Acts, we already saw for example that in the book... in the gospel according to Saint Luke, there is already teaching about the baptism of the Holy Spirit. John tells the people that he baptizes with water but that someone is coming who will baptize with fire and with the Holy Spirit. We see Jesus baptized in a sense, in the Holy Spirit during his baptism when the spirit descends on him in the form of a dove. We see him return, says Luke, filled with the Holy Spirit from his temptation in the desert, and we see the promise that the Holy Spirit would come upon the disciples when the Lord ascended.
But you know what? the doctrine of the baptism of the Holy Spirit is already established even in the old testament. The only difference we see is that, in the old testament, God's anointing to train a man or woman for a supernatural work that he entrusts to them is reserved for the prophets, for the kings and for the priests.
Those three characters had to be anointed and commissioned with oil as a way to train them for their supernatural tasks. The king had to lead a great nation, the prophet had to flow in the prophetic gift in God's revelation, and the priest had to continually officiate in the presence of God and with the wisdom of God to bless and advise and solve problems in the nation. life of the people of Israel.
They were very, very serious tasks, and for that they needed the anointing of the Holy Spirit, that's why they were anointed with oil.
Now, when the Holy Spirit falls on the disciples in the upper room, on the day of Pentecost, here is a sign that the anointing of the Holy Spirit is no longer for a very limited select group of people. , but it is for whom? for everyone.
It is for those who are far away (thank you my sister) and for those who are near, as the apostle Peter says in his first great sermon.
Now the ministry of the Holy Spirit becomes universal for everyone who believes, everyone who receives it, everyone who asks for it, the anointing of the Holy Spirit is there.
But let's see how the Holy Spirit manifests itself, like baptism... what difference does the baptism of the Holy Spirit make in the life of an individual?
But for me, one of the… one of the… one of the characters that most clearly reflects this is Saul. Look at this, it's interesting, because in the life of Saul I see many of the subtleties and the complexity of the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the importance of the baptism of the Holy Spirit in the life of every believer.
Remember my purpose in speaking of this. It is to mark our spiritual sensitivity, yours, yours, yours, that of each one of those who are here. With that conviction that I need something other than simply a religious life with Christ, to receive Christ as my Lord or to come to church on Sundays. I need to live a life of intimate and personal relationship and continuous with the Holy Spirit.
That is what is called a Pentecostal life. Not Pentecostal in the sense of a denomination but in the sense of what the word of God says about the gifts of the Holy Spirit. God wants you to be a man, a Pentecostal woman and that you live hungry and thirsty for the anointing of God and that you know the dynamics and the secrets and the mysteries of a life filled with the Holy Spirit, that we are not ignorant of it's.
In First Corinthians, chapter 12, verse 1, the apostle Paul says: "My brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant about the gifts" in the original Greek the word that is translated into Spanish "gifts" ” is rather pneumatic which means “of things”, uses the neuter a plural grammatical form, “spiritual things” pneumatic, “…I don't want you to be ignorant about spiritual things…” God wants us to be understood as we read in Ephesians, chapter 5.
So many people are misunderstood about the mysteries and about the subtleties of a life filled with the Holy Spirit, how one can live a life of vitality, a life that has victory over evil, a life that can effectively witness for God, a life that allows us to be healed of the inevitable distortions of life's experiences, a life that allows us to understand God's word, a life that allows us to defeat the darts of fire of the Evil One and his whisper, that you do not okay, you don't have, you can't, you don't deserve and all those destructive things... they made you, they hurt you, they didn't give you and that we continually live with those things that impoverish our lives and that kill our creativity and vitality.
We have here SaĂşl, in chapters 9 and 10, an extremely imperfect man, few characters as dramatic as SaĂşl, worthy of a novel, very much with internal conflicts, finally leading him to neurosis and contamination demonic included. A man who has good wishes on the one hand but on the other hand has serious character flaws that lead to failure. And in the end, you know that Saul did not end well. He had to be replaced by David, a man after God's own heart.
Incredibly, however, God chooses him to be king of Israel and anoints him with the baptism of the Holy Spirit. And there is a first truth and that is that God's anointing is for imperfect people like you and me. You don't have to be perfect to receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit, you know? Say glory to God, thank you Lord.
Saul is a very imperfect man and yet he receives the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Look, look where the drama begins, chapter 9, we are going to start the middle, “in medias res” as the scholars of literature say, in the middle of things.
God tells Samuel that he is going to show him who is going to be the first king of Israel, Samuel is God's prophet, right? In Israel. And God tells him: I'm going to show you, you're going to see it and you're going to know who it's going to be.
Look at 9:15, First Samuel... First Samuel 9:15 says, "...and one day before Saul came, the Lord had revealed a day before Saul came, the Lord had revealed in the ear of Samuel saying: Tomorrow at this time I will send to you a man from the land of Benjamin whom you will anoint as prince over my people Israel and he will save my people from the hands of the Philistines because I have looked at my people because their cry has come to me" and after Samuel saw Saul, Jehovah said to him: "Behold, this is the man I told you about, he will rule my people..."
Then a dialogue between Saul and Saul begins. Samuel that does not fit now when coming. What interests me is the moment of Samuel's anointing, let's go to chapter 10 now, 10:6, chapter 10, verse 6 then says: “…Samuel took a vial of oil like a container of oil, he poured it on his head and kissed him…”.
Look here, an external symbolic act that suggests the spiritual. That is why it is so important, brothers, that we, as Pentecostal people, are not afraid to use idols, raise our hands, stand up, kneel, take a deep breath, glorify the Lord, dance. These are all things that are part of a life filled with the Holy Spirit because many times external actions lead to internal effects, say glory to the Lord.
There is a mysterious relationship between the external and the internal, that happens with magic, with everything, human beings understand that. The most remote tribes in the Amazon or in Africa or wherever, understand that there is a relationship between the internal and the external. External actions lead to internal effects, so they use formulas, gestures, symbols and stuff. Only modern rationalist 21st century evangelicals believe that such things are not necessary and we try to remove the symbols from the church. With Protestantism, the reforms were thrown... everything was thrown out the windows.
Very good things also that Christianity had from its early years. And we lost the symbols, lots of things. Our churches are often deserted and the Puritans here in New England and in Europe tried to extirpate all symbols, including music they banished for a time. What a terrible scandal because no... it had to be very simple and the Puritan sanctuaries and in Europe in other Christian denominations too, music was banished, color was banished, symbols were banished because there was ignorance and it still is in many places the importance of symbolic movement.
If you want to be a Pentecostal-minded person learn to respect the symbols and use the symbols in your life. Breathe when you want to receive the Holy Spirit in your life, a filling, raise your hands, use different things.
The other day I did something crazy that later my wife saw it and said: “what is this here?” I took a little bit of flour, I took a little bit of wine that I asked a neighbor to bring me because not…(And I took a little bit of Goya green oil because if it is Goya it has to be good. And I took those three things and I took I poured into a small vessel, the flour that symbolizes for me the word of God, the bread of the word of God; I took wine and poured it, because for me wine is a sign of the joy of the Lord. Wine is what makes the heart happy of the man; and I took the oil that symbolizes the anointing of the Lord and I took those three things and it smelled better than I thought and it looked very beautiful too... it was a pretty good merlot, they say that around there, right? (laughs ) and I took those things and mixed them together.
And look here is a chandelier that my wife's brother gave him that he made; he's a sculptor and he made a most beautiful chandelier and there were candles there , and I lit the candles, the Pope would be happy with me brothers I assure you that he seemed a true Catholic at that moment. And I put it on a table, I I knelt there and prayed to the Lord and celebrated those symbols in my life and asked the Lord to refresh the value and power of those symbols in my spirit in my life and in my church. And it was a great blessing, what's wrong with that? On the contrary, it is a blessing.
I believe a lot, more and more in the power of symbols in the Christian life, we must use symbols... we have to be a people that is not afraid of these... the external leads to the internal many times . Ask any psychologist about it. There is something about moving and these things and physical actions that lead to a greater entrance, a greater access to the spirit world.
And many times you have to start with the external because it is what we have closest to being able to reach the depths of the spirit, remember that.
I would like to have more time to develop that point but at least receive it there as a deposit and one day perhaps we will have more time.
Then Samuel poured a vial of oil on Saul's head and kissed him. How interesting, why did she kiss him? I don't know, was it perhaps a sign of God's approval for this man? The endorsement of the kingdom of God on this man?, affirmation perhaps? Expression of affection for this man who was a very insecure man? A fatherly blessing? Lots of things there.
He anointed him and kissed him and said, “The Lord has not anointed you to be prince over his people Israel. Today, after you have left me, you will find two men next to Rachel's tomb, in the territory of Benjamin in Celsa, who will tell you... he had actually lost some donkeys and that is why he goes to the prophet to help him find, “…the donkeys that you went looking for have been found, your father has stopped worrying about the donkeys and is grieving for you saying, what shall I do about my son? and as soon as you continue further on from there and you reach the insignia of tabor, three men will come out to meet you”.
Look at that, three men who go up to God in Bethel (Bethel was a very powerful place where God had previously manifested himself to the patriarchs) in Bethel one carrying three kids, another three loaves of bread and the third a vessel of wine, sacrifice. The sacrifice of God, the wine, the oil, these are symbols, signs of the power of God.
….After they have greeted you, they will give you two loaves, which you will take from their hands. After this you will arrive at the hill of God where the Philistine garrison is and when you enter the city there you will find a company of prophets coming down from the high place and before them psaltery, tambourine, flute and harp and they prophesying…..”
Let's stop there… another great lesson about the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The presence, the filling, the baptism, the anointing, the power of the Holy Spirit are associated with diversified and intense praise.
Many people believe that the only instrument that came down from heaven commissioned by God is the pipe organ and anything else is from the devil. Obviously the Bible does not think so. We must praise the Lord with a tambourine and dance, with a flute, praise him with this, praise him with that, he says praise him with this, only a person ignorant of the mysteries of God and the word of God can put aside the importance of worship and praise.
When you want to raise the spirit of God in your life, praise him even if you don't feel it. That's why we sing the chorus this morning, I raise my hands even though I don't have the strength.
There is a little chorus that says less elegant but says the same thing: praise God when things go well for you, that's good, right? But if you praise him among your brokenness, that holy Christ glorifies himself within you, right? If you praise him among your brokenness, the power of God flows within you
There is nothing that glorifies God more than when we praise him when we cannot. When we are at zero, there is no more gasoline and everything is over and even so we put out a little smoke there to praise the Lord. And God glorifies himself in that sacrifice of praise.
There is something when you are tired and loaded, when you start to praise the Lord, first perhaps what comes out is a little voice, but then it starts to get stronger and when he comes to see... not even Pavarotti … may God have him in his grace. In fact if you don't know, Pavarotti died recently. But the anointing of God flows when… something has to be done… look here is another matter about… another mystery of the anointing of the Holy Spirit and it is what I call the mechanical aspects of the anointing of God.
I would like to explain that so that it is not so subtle, but the idea is that people believe that the anointing of God is something that simply… God takes your little mouth and moves it and your little heart and gives it to you. It makes you feel hot and your hands are raised as if you were a puppet and you don't have to do anything, God does everything. That is a lie and that is a violation of what I believe to be the word of the Lord. We must strive so that the anointing of God that is already in us flows properly.
That is why the apostle Paul tells Timothy: I advise you to fan the fire of the gift of God that is in you through the imposition of my hands. The anointing of God was already in him but he needed to fan it, blow it out.
There is a mystery that we... there are things that we have to do and if we don't do them, God is going to sit idly by, manganzĂłn, when are you going to do them? Didn't I tell you to do them? Don't expect me to do it because you already know what you have to do. How many times do I want God to have more mercy on me but he says: have I already reminded you, how many times? He smacks me on the head and I wish he would make my life easier. He tells me: no, you are a church teacher and you have to practice what you preach.
There are things that if you don't do them, God won't do them. And people believe, for example: well, speaking in tongues and the Lord... a little angel is going to come, he's going to get into my little mouth and he's going to move my tongue, that's not the case. Sometimes it may be so.
And God can release the anointing in a way… you know? Spontaneous, irresistible but in many cases you will have to exercise by faith. Start walking in faith and open your mouth and listen in spirit to what God is saying to you and repeat even though your wife laughs at you for the rest of the day.
But you have to start and you have to verbalize and in that the gifts begin to flow. You have to exercise it, if they don't exercise, they remain truncated, they remain unrealized.
There is a part that you have to do to live a life full of God's anointing, you have to strive and you have to seek God's anointing, you have to fan the fire of God, your You have to praise the Lord, you have to read the word, you have to give the Lord firewood so that the fire falls on the firewood.
And you don't see that Elijah added wood first because the fire of God wanted to fall, but if there was no wood, what was he going to burn? Tell me. We used to say: no, I want God to create the firewood too. That is not so, you have to put the firewood, God puts the fire, say amen.
You don't see that when God says to Abraham: "Give me your son", Abraham, the poor man has to take a donkey and fill it with firewood and poor Abraham went with his donkey and his son to sacrifice it to God, not even the firewood was given by the Lord, how uncourteous.
Sometimes we have to put the wood so that the fire of God descends on our lives, remember that. If there is no word of God in you, if there are no actions of God in you, if there is no company of anointed people in you, if there is no praise in you, if there are no prophetic declarations in you and in faith of the promises of God, do not expect that God is going to move powerfully within your life. Say: “Ouch, it hurt!!” It is so, there is a part that you have to do, always remember that.
And here we see that these prophets who represent the anointing of God, the filling of the Holy Spirit, the power of a community filled with the Holy Spirit are... have the instruments, there was no need to say: does anyone have there a flute or ..? Of course, 40 tambourines at once went on the air. Because the anointing of God was there, they were people flowing in the Holy Spirit.
Worship is a propitious place, praise is necessary for the anointing of God to flow in the life of the believer. Worship has to be, and it has to be diversified with different instruments, with expressions of the joy and power of the Lord.
Then in front of it, verse 5: “…psaltery, tambourine, flute and harp and they prophesying…” then look here what it says: “…then the spirit of the Lord will come upon you with power…” . There is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Hundreds and hundreds of years before it fell on the disciples in the upper room.
It is the same anointing, the same process on a specific man, a man who does not have the skill, does not have the strength and needs a special anointing to carry it out, that is you, that is me, you are Saul, I am Saul in a sense because God has asked us to go into all the world, preach the gospel, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of Jesus Christ. And one sees this mass of people who are rebellious humanity and resistant to the word of the Lord and so confident in themselves. And he says: how am I going to do that? How is the church going to do that? It is like when the…
The Lord says to the disciples: “…give him something to eat…”, they say what? That we feed 5000 people? Where do we have the money and if we had the money, already all the market basket??? they are closed in the neighborhood where are we going to get the food? And the Lord tells them: ok, well look what is among you, and there comes a little boy with 5 loaves, all moldy and damp from the day and two fish that surely smelled... you know, and he says: well, this it's all we have. And the Lord says, "That's enough." He lifted them up, the power of God fell, the loaves and fish multiplied and everyone ate and there were 12 baskets of loaves and fish left over.
I think those fish tasted heavenly, if they had any germs they were gone immediately because when the Lord gives and the power of God is there, the impossible becomes possible. There is nothing difficult about the anointing of God.
Whenever limited human beings are asked to do serious and difficult things beyond their gifts and potentials, the anointing of the Holy Spirit is needed there. That is why it is the anointing of the Holy Spirit, that is why the Lord told them: do not leave Jerusalem until you have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and then you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and in all the earth.
God changed a group of cowards into powerful and anointed people that neither Benimi, because they had the power, the anointing of the Holy Spirit in their lives. And the same Peter, who before was frightened by a single maid who told him: you are one of them and even cursed so that they would believe that he was not from Jesus, there he stands before 5,000 people or before many more, not even 3,000 after 5,000 They convert to the Lord without any fear, they stand in the Sanhedrin, and he tells him not to preach in the name of Jesus anymore and he says it is necessary that I obey before God and before you.
Because he had the anointing, the filling of the Holy Spirit. There is a difference, do you understand? That's… that's why Saul is going to have to do something extraordinary that he doesn't have the power to do. Many people say: I have too many ties to enter... to be one of those evangelicals, I don't know how to sing, I do this and that, I have so many problems, it's that you don't need power, you need the power of the Spirit Holy, you are not the person who is going to do those things, the power of God in you is going to do it.
Don't try to live the Christian life by force because you will never be able to. Focus on filling yourself and keeping your glass filled with the anointing of the Holy Spirit, that is what is necessary. That is your task. God's task then is to do the works through the power of God in you.
That is why it is so important to talk about the anointing of the Holy Spirit when we talk about the importance of works and behavior and ethical life because it is the only thing that can enable us to do it if I am not asking them to do the impossible.
Then Saul needed the power of God to fall on him, then the spirit of God will come upon you with power and you will prophesy with them.
One of the things that happens when you receive the power of the Holy Spirit is, a supernatural dimension opens up for your life. You receive another... another department, God puts another additional drawer in you called the miracles of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. It is what enables you so that God can do extraordinary and supernatural works in your life. The power of the Holy Spirit in you. In other words, you are going to prophesy like them too.
Next we are going to talk about the gifts of the Holy Spirit, what are those gifts? How do they manifest? How are they grown? What are you doing? Who are they for? these things you have to understand.
Then notice, even in the Old Testament there is that same association of the anointing and baptism of the Holy Spirit with the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Both.
What the baptism of the Holy Spirit does is that it adds a dimension of potentiality to your life. Where now it is possible for the gifts of God to manifest within you. It's like a computer that only has a certain amount of memory and can only process a limited number of operations, but if you want to process today's complex graphics and all the very, very expensive operations in terms of memory and capacity that they require today Nowadays, computer operations need more memory or a more powerful, more powerful chip, and that same computer will continue to be the same, but the expert removes the box and sticks another component that gives more power to that same computer. computer, then put the box back on. It looks like the same computer but it is not the same computer. Now it can process more powerful things, it can render richer images, it can process more complex things, more complex operations, it can hold more charge without blowing its brains out, because it has more potential.
Now the person operating that computer may be limited to Mickey Mouse cartoons and just doing text, that's all, and not using the full capacity of it. But there is a potentiality already within that computer, if necessary that computer can now move into a more powerful dimension. How many say amen? Do you understand what I'm saying?
May the Holy Spirit descend on you and put a much more powerful chip into your life. Now you can operate at a higher level of capacity and complexity. Now, however, it's going to be up to you whether you operate at that level or not.
Many people believe that when the Holy Spirit falls and baptizes you, you become Superman or Superwoman overnight. It is not so easily. Everything depends on what you do now with that potentiality of God that is within you. It will depend on what you do, and if you cultivate, if you remain filled with the Holy Spirit, if you add wisdom to your faith as the word says. That's a start.
For me the baptism of the Holy Spirit is like when you get the dial tone on your phone. Now you can make calls but you have to pick up, pick up the phone on the dial, if you don't give... if you don't dial the phone is there, its potential is there but you are not using it, you have to use it, you have to learn how to use the phone, you have what… see? That is the mystery, I believe that many times in the Pentecostal world, they are very simplistic about the baptism of the Holy Spirit and we only stay but the Holy Spirit serves and that this and that, glory to God and we move and this but people stay the same, just as ignorant, just as tied up, just as poor, just as sinful, there are no changes, one says: wow, but if he is filled with the Holy Spirit, what has happened? Why doesn't this community reflect that? Because there is a lack of teaching on how to use it, there is a lack of wisdom, there is a lack of complexity, and that is what I tell you. Do not expect me to be simply foolish, because with the Lord's help I am going to resist that spirit, it is more complex than you think about the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Then he says before them, psalter and “…..then the spirit will come upon you with power and you will prophesy with them and you will be changed into another man, you will be changed into another man, you will be changed into another woman ….”, the Holy Spirit changes the wiring to the individual. The cabling, I believe that celebrating like this changes it and it changes the cabling of the soul and of illusions and of the spirit. Go? The computer changes, see?
I have seen people who when they receive the filling of the Holy Spirit and start working on it and work in that fullness, there are tremendous changes in their lives, ties are broken, they are broken, there is a passion, there is a fire for the Lord, there is an enthusiasm for the things of God, there is an authority when they speak differently, there is a conviction in the things they say, there is a certainty that they are saved by the blood of Jesus, those are the things that He does the baptism of the Holy Spirit. There is an ability to carry out the tasks that the Lord wants you to carry out, there are changes...
I like the word "you will be moved" there is one... there is a chorus that says that word, I don't know if you remember it, how does it say… if someone remembers it, let me know in mute, eh…
And I think that this word ……. We are going to look for it there, if you can look it up, Gonzalo, Iris and we are going to sing it later. But there is a move, a change of address we can say. Before you lived in the direction of failure, I can't, I shouldn't, I don't feel, now you go in the direction of I can do everything in Christ who strengthens me, I am saved by faith, God loves me, I can, I I must, I want, there is a change of address in one sense, they changed your address, they changed you. The computer on the outside is just as unattractive but now on the inside it is a paragon of virtues. Glory to the Lord. It's just a joke, so you can laugh (laughs).
“…..And you will be changed into another man and when these signs have happened to you, do whatever comes to your hand because God is with you, hallelujah.”
And when these things have happened to you, do what comes to your hand because God is with you, here you have another great mystery of the anointing of the Holy Spirit, remember this. Take your earplugs out now for a little while. It is important, when one receives the anointing of the Holy Spirit, this is a matter of faith, this is a matter of faith, you asked, you raised your hands, you knelt before the Lord, you did what you had to do, now believe.
The Lord is coming over your life. The Lord is there, so walk in faith, and believe that you have what you need and start acting on what you have received by faith. Believe it by faith. Many people receive and believe that they do not have... and they are waiting for someone to come with a message directly from heaven and to be told: yes, you received so now go ahead, this is by faith, you have to believe, I have it, I am, I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I have the power of God in me.
Then start new things in your life, dare to tell someone about Christ, take a discipleship class to learn more about the Christian life, pray a little longer, read the word believing that now that God is going to speak to you through it more clearly than before, go to church to receive and believe that you are going to receive in the name of Jesus more than you received before, praise the Lord believing that God is going to give you an ability to sing, before you sang out of tune, now you believe that God is going to give you the voice of an opera singer and praise the Lord, do not wait to hear yourself if you do not believe that God is going to give you, take an English class, ask him a raise to the boss, ask for a better... a better position at work, dare to do things you didn't do before, dare to believe that God can bless you beyond what you thought he could bless you before, believe now that there is a life of prosperity for you, start expecting good things and not bad things, begin to declare that your children are going to be blessed and that they are going to enter into the knowledge of the Lord and believe it. And don't look around you at what's happening, but believe that the computer has changed direction and that there are things going... then move like you already have it and believe that you already have it, confess that you have it and live like that you have it and you will discover that if you have it.
Well, when you look back you will see that your life began to change the moment you began to walk in faith and do whatever came to hand.
There are many people that God puts things in their hand and says: I can't and then God says: well, if you think you can't then that's fine because certainly you can't but I can with you and in you, I can
How many times do you tell a person to do something and they say I can't, I don't know how to do it, I've never done it? Then die in the movie, that's your problem, not God's, you have to dare in the name of the Lord. And when you dare to believe in faith that you have it, God is going to give you what you need to do it.
This is the problem with many people, God says: I want to give you a better job, I want you to learn English, I want you to buy that house, I want you to have a better one… a better car, but when they tell him: look what they gave you by hand, give your tithe, oh I can't because I have to pay this, I have to do the other, well that's fine, if you want to live flattened that's your problem, I I already told you what you have to do.
Believe, do what comes to hand, God always asks people in the Bible what is in your hand? When he tells Moses to go and talk to Pharaoh and tell him to let my people out, Moses tells him but... who am I? I am a stutterer and that this and that and he says what do you have at hand? A stick, well, throw that stick to the ground and it becomes a snake, pick it up and it becomes a stick again. Put your hand in your side, when you put it in and take it out full of leprosy, put it in again, heal.
With those two signs, go and tell Pharaoh to let my people out, what do you have at hand? He tells the disciples, what do you have among yourselves? go and see and there they find 5 loaves and 2 fish, it is enough, give it to me and with that they feed the whole crowd.
What do you have on hand? do what comes to hand, dare, start small. Many people want God to take them to Africa to preach to the millions of Africans so that they can be saved. And there is a person in his own building dying of need of God and they do not speak to him and God tells him: when you preach to her, perhaps I will send you to Africa.
What do you have on hand? Dare to testify with what you have at hand, around you in your daily life there are things that God wants to use to begin to exercise the gift of God that is within you.
The word of God always says: "... deer and faithful in a little you have been faithful and in much I will repay...". Start with what you have at hand, exercise that and God will give you more and more and more anointing. The power of God will flow in you more but you have to start small, minimal, anonymous and then do the best job possible at that and then God puts you to do more.
Church is full of people you give them assignments and they make a mess and expect you to give them more. Get right what you have there first and then come over and let's talk later.
Do what comes to your hand, when God places his anointing on you start living like you have it and believe you have it and exercise it and then you will receive more and more and more.
I advise you to fan the fire of the gift of God that is in you and so that gift will grow more and more, say glory to God, that they receive that word in their lives. Because God is with you, if God is with us, who can be against us? More powerful than he who is in you than he who is in the world says the word of the Lord, if God is with me I am the majority wherever I am, if God is with me I can say to a mountain move from there, go to the bottom of the sea and he will have to do it because God said so, that is God's call for the life of the believer.
We finished verse 9, “…. Then it happened that when he turned his back to get away from Samuel, God changed his heart and all these things happened that day. And when they got there, to the hill, behold, the company of the prophets came to meet him and the spirit of God came upon him with power and he prophesied among them and it came to pass that when all who knew him before saw that he prophesied with the prophets , the people said to each other: what has happened to the son of Assisi?… Saul also among the prophets? and someone from there answered saying: who is their father? For this reason it became a proverb, Saul also among the prophets and he rose up from prophesying and came to the high place," to the glory of the Lord. I'll end there for now
God promises things and if you do your part, those things will come to pass, if God says: if you ask, you will receive. You have to ask and believe that you are going to receive and when you do… look, God is going to do things that people are going to say: but isn't this the son of Doña Maria over there who didn't even open his mouth to say amen? ? now look at him as he is, full of the Holy Spirit, prophesying, speaking in tongues, dunking, doing great things for God, that's because when God is in you those things happen and then you can reach the high place, the high place where the presence is of God, to the high place where you can see the panorama that is before you, you can see further and deeper than what the ordinary human being sees because God is with you and you can prophesy like any other prophet because God is within of you.
I don't necessarily have more anointing than yours, maybe I work a little more in the little bit that God has given me, but you have the same potential that I have, you can do great things, you can walk among the prophets also as Saul walked, because all that is needed is the anointing of God in your life, when there is this anointing, God does the impossible, things happen in your life.
Stand up in the name of Jesus, receive that word, hopefully you can hear it again and that is the ethics, that is the ethos, on which I live, on which the word of the Lord and on which God wants you to live in your life. That is the mentality that God wants for you, not a flattened evangelical mentality, it is a mentality of power, it is a military mentality, it is a warrior mentality that God wants, it is an energy mentality, it is an aggressive mentality in the name of the Sir, it is an appetizing mentality for the things of God.
Young people, receive that word in the name of Jesus and to all those who are... who are going to come too, a youth filled with the Holy Spirit that is what can... to rot the yoke that is killing our youth in America. It is the anointing of the Holy Spirit, the power of God filling lives, that is what can change your life too, that is what is going to change America and the world, that is what is going to evangelize the world when the power of God come down and can't wait for the moment you see that power of God. Because that is what is going to destroy the illegitimate yoke of the devil over humanity and at least it is going to give a little respite before the Desired of all nations comes.
We have to ask the Lord to break the curse that weighs on this nation and on the western world and that times of refreshment come on the nations and on society and we first have to fill ourselves with the power of the Spirit Holy, we have to receive ourselves to be able to give to others, we have to ask the Lord for a new... a fresh visitation of the Spirit in our lives, we have to be Pentecostal people, we have to stop playing evangelicals.
The Lord already abhors the lukewarmness of the church of the odyssey, he says: I want them to be cold or hot, decide, but I don't want lukewarm people, they make me nauseous. Churches that have, like the odyssey, a lot of apparatus but there is no anointing from God and perhaps we even have the L of the odyssey because there is a little bit of that, and God wants to break with that once and for all. And that refers to you, I can't… I can't carry your load, you have to carry it, God save me from wanting to carry your load, I can't even carry mine except with the help of the Lord.
You have… you are responsible for your anointing, you are responsible for your spoils, you are responsible for the level of grace you receive, not me. You have to look for your own oil, your own manna, you have to take your can in the morning and go to the desert to look for your manna and pick it up and bring it home, you have to do it for yourself and your family.
Man of God, God wants you to fill yourself with anointing so that you can cover your wife and children, cry for them effectively, keep the devil out of your house who wants to destroy you.
Woman of God, God wants you to be full of authority and power.
Young man, God wants you to be able to function in your school and be an example and an inspiration to others.
Church, God wants you to reflect the life of the kingdom of God so that others see your life and say: I want that life, we are not going to do it unless it is filled with the Holy Spirit.
That is why we are going to ask the Lord for a fresh anointing this morning.
We've been doing this week, ask the Lord to baptize you with the Holy Spirit, raise your hands and ask the spirit of God to baptize you, new freshness, anointing from on high. Lord fill me my first Father, start with me Lord. Ohh, anoint us Spirit of God, send your oil Lord, send your fresh anointing now, send it Lord, send it, send it, desperately ask the Lord to do something in your life, ask the Lord to drench you with his oil, saturate you with his oil, order it today, order it tomorrow, order it tonight before you go to bed.
Come Holy Spirit, anoint me, anoint me, anoint me, by myself I cannot live what you call me to live Father, I need your fresh anointing, ohh spirit of God, for my marriage, for my marriage I need anointing, for my finances I need anointing, for my work I need anointing, for my human relationships I need anointing, for my emotional life I need anointing, Spirit of God send it, fan the fire of the gift of God, send your spirit, baptize us Lord, baptize us with your spirit, tell him baptize me with your spirit.
If you don't have that baptism of the Holy Ghost at some point I'm going to talk more about that and how it's received and how it flows into it, on the gifts of the spirit, the supernatural gifts of the Holy Ghost but we need that, without that I cannot... I don't want to live, without that change in the computer I don't want to live.
So receive in the name of Jesus, say: I am Pentecostal, why? Because you are looking for what the disciples received on the day of Pentecost, you have that same anointing of God in your life, we want it Lord, we desire it, we desire it, we ardently ask for it, thank you Lord, receive it, say: I have it , I have it in the name of Jesus, I am going to move in it, I am going to move in it, I am going to ask for more and more, I am going to look for that anointing in my life. Ohh we adore you Lord we bless you thank you.
