Beyond Our Sight

1 Kings 19:10 • Romans 11:4

The altars torn, the prophets gone, a weary cry, I feel alone The plans we made, now turned to dust, a heavy sigh, a broken trust Today feels endless, gray and bleak, no path I see, no words to speak My limited sight, it holds me fast, believing this despair will last

But troubles fade, like morning dew, a hidden path, a vision new Though I see one, Your eyes see more, seven thousand waiting at Your door What can't be now, may bloom in time, Your perfect grace, a future sublime Hold to the faith, hold to the hope, beyond the limits of our scope

I wish for rest, beneath the shade, by worries deep, I'm now afraid My heart's confined, to what I know, unable to let true hope grow Perhaps You smile, from heaven's height, as I fight battles in the night You whisper softly, "Wait and see, My power's more than you can be."

We cannot glimpse beyond this day, our human eyes, they blur the way But You declare, "I am the Lord, My counsel stands, My truth adored!" What's "impossible" to our weak sight, is just a flicker in Your light So lift your head, let fears take flight, and walk by faith into the light

And troubles fade, like morning dew, a hidden path, a vision new Though I see one, Your eyes see more, seven thousand waiting at Your door What can't be now, may bloom in time, Your perfect grace, a future sublime Hold to the faith, hold to the hope, beyond the limits of our scope

So let us cling to hope, my friend, for every dark night has an end What cannot be today, you'll find, can surely bloom with time and mind God's hidden plan, His faithful hand, across the sky, across the land Just wait and see... His promise be... just wait and see...
