Genesis 2:10 • Revelation 22:1-2
My soul felt dry, a barren land, I built a wall with anxious hand. Tried to hold what little grace I found, Fearing drought on thirsty ground. A reservoir, I thought was wise, To keep my fragile, small supplies. But stagnant waters, dark and deep, Are not the promises I keep.
Oh, the river flows from Eden's heart, A crystal stream, a brand new start! From the Throne of God, it rushes down, Healing every parched-up town. No more hoarding, no more fear, The living water's fresh and clear! Let it rush, let it rise, let it bloom, Washing away all doubt and gloom!
He said, "From within, a living spring!" Not to just consume, but to bring. A channel open, free to share, Pouring out His love and care. The more we give, the more we grow, A vibrant, ever-fresh outflow. My cup's not empty, it overflows, Wherever His pure current goes.
From Genesis to Revelation's call, A river runs to bless us all. The tree of life on either side, With fruit and leaves for all mankind. No finite well, no fading stream, An endless, glorious, living dream. So open wide your hand, your heart, And let His boundless grace impart!
No more tanks, no need to save, Just ride the glory of His wave! Flowing free, forever bright, Bathed in endless, living light. Yeah, the river flows... from God above... An ocean of His endless love!
