Legacy

Deuteronomy 6:6-7 • Ephesians 6:4

The city lights are stealing all the hours The modern world runs fast and demands our soul But here within these walls, a garden flowers And tending to your heart is my highest goal It’s not a job for when I have the spare time Or something I can choose to do halfway It is a mountain that we have to climb Invested in the moments of the day

So when we sit together in the house And when we walk along the dusty road When the morning sun begins to rise And when the evening stars begin to glow I will teach you diligently, I will speak His name A mission of a lifetime, not a moment’s game To plant the truth inside you, deep and strong This is where the legacy belongs

We have to steal the moments from the noise Create a space where we can truly see To know your friends, your struggles, and your joys And show you what a life of faith can be I won't provoke your spirit into wrath But nurture you with discipline and grace We’re walking on a consecrated path Seeking the reflection of the Father's face

God is the model, the Father above Who teaches us how to correct and to love I’m just a vessel, imperfect and small Trying to answer this holy call To shape a spirit, humble and kind Leaving the distractions of the world behind

Every week, every month, every year I’ll be right here Pouring out my life, so you can see The God who loves you, lives in me When you lie down... When you rise up... Upon your heart.
