Summary: The speaker is sharing a message from the Book of Joel, emphasizing that God has good purposes for the church and wants to raise it up in the city. The passage speaks of God doing great things and restoring what has been lost. The speaker leads the congregation in a time of spiritual warfare and asks for God's anointing to fill the people. The main message is that God wants His people to be a Pentecostal people, filled with the Holy Spirit and moving in the gifts of the Spirit. The two key elements that God wants to make central in the believer's life are wine and oil, which represent God's anointing and provision.
The speaker talks about two elements that God wants to make central in our lives: oil and wine. These two elements defeat the devil and allow us to live a victorious life in Christ. The speaker believes that God wants us to move into the supernatural realm and experience the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The anointing is a spiritual fuel that enables us to understand spiritual things and live an effective life. The speaker encourages us to ask God to pour out spiritual understanding on our lives and to baptize us with His Spirit. The anointing seals us to the Kingdom of God and keeps us tied to Him even in trials and difficulties.
The article encourages readers to seek the anointing of the Holy Spirit in order to live a powerful Christian life and overcome the challenges of the world. The author emphasizes that living in the anointing requires a life of dedication and surrender to the Lord, and that it is not a normal or comfortable way of living. However, the anointing brings victory, miracles, and effectiveness in serving the Lord. The author urges readers to pray for the anointing and pay the price for it, and to raise up churches and families that are filled with the anointing of God.
The anointing of God leads to the joy of the Lord, which is a weapon of spiritual warfare for believers. Many Christians lack the joy of the Lord because they serve God in the flesh, without the power of the Holy Spirit. Cultivating the joy of the Lord requires a program of continuous search and cultivation. When Christians exemplify a joyful and victorious life, they become contagious and attract others to Christ. By cultivating the joy of the Lord, believers can defeat the powers of the devil without having to attack him directly.
Instead of constantly attacking Satan, focus on cultivating joy and the anointing of God in your life. This will generate God's power and defeat evil without you having to fight. Come forward and pray for the Holy Spirit to work in your life. Cry out to God and ask for His anointing. Dr. Roberto Miranda preached this message on December 31, 2005 at León de Judá Congregation.
Turn with me to the Book of Joel. I want to share with you some thoughts that God has placed in my heart over the last few weeks and I want to plant this in your spirit as a seed of faith and trust in the Lord.
I believe that God has this word for us as a church, as God's people. At the beginning of this year, 2006, we see that God has good purposes for us, that God wants to raise up this town and make it more effective every day in the midst of this city. God wants to fulfill what He has said that we are salt of the earth, we are light of the world, we are an active presence. We are not in the city simply to decorate or to be one more element, but the word of the Lord says that we are going to be the head of the nations, we are going to be the heads of the cities where we are. He says that our descendants are going to build the fallen walls, they are going to raise the ruins that have remained for many years and that is the word that God has for the Lion of Judah congregation tonight and this year and God wants to strengthen your life and that you be part of that miracle that He wants to carry out here, in this city.
In the Book of Joel, in Chapter 2 beginning with verse 21, follow with me this word. The Lord says there: "earth do not fear, be glad and rejoice because the Lord will do great things". Say with me 'Jehovah will do great things' 'Jehovah will do great things' 'Jehovah will do great things'. Amen. Let that promise sink into your spirit.
It says “animals of the field, do not fear, for the pastures of the desert will turn green, for the trees will bear their fruit, the fig tree and the vine will bear their fruit. You also, sons of Zion, rejoice and rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has given you the first rain in its season and will bring down on you early and latter rain as at the beginning. The threshing floors will be filled with wheat and the presses will overflow with wine and oil.
Let's all repeat 'wine and oil', two key elements that I want you to draw your attention to tonight. Says the word ".... and I will restore to you the years that the caterpillar, the salmon, the revolt and the locust ate, my great army that I sent against you. You will eat your fill and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has done wonders for you. Never again will my people be ashamed. And you will know that I am in the midst of Israel and that I am Jehovah your God, and there is no other and my people will never be ashamed. And after this I will pour out my spirit on all flesh and your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams and your young men will see visions and also on the servants and on the handmaids I will pour out my spirit in those days and I will give prodigies in heaven and in earth, blood, fire and columns of smoke. The sun will turn into darkness and the moon into blood, before the great and dreadful day of the Lord comes, and everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved, for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be salvation, as the Lord has said and among the remnant whom He will have called.”
Brethren, stand up for a moment. I want you to be aware tonight that you are not here for a mere social event, I know that almost everyone is here, but if we are not clear on that, I want us to take a moment to recognize that. You are not just good, because it is the end of the year and as a religious custom you come to the church to say goodbye to the year. We are not here automatically, simply carrying out a religious social mission. We are here each one of us because we are people of faith, people who believe that God speaks to his people, people who are alive in the spirit. I ask you in the name of Jesus to ask the Lord that if you don't feel this way right now, that he fan the fire of his gift that is in you because Christ is in you tonight.
Let's take a moment to cry out to the Lord. Raise your voice now, raise your voice. We are going to shake the spirit tonight before bringing the word of the Lord, because this is a strong word for us. And I would like no one to stay tonight without crying out to the Lord for a moment. Let's raise our voices to the Lord. Begin to move your spirit, let's see, let's hear that fire of the spirit of God. We are going to arouse and lift the spirit tonight. Cry out to God. Ask the holy spirit to fill you. Those young men up there. I want you to also take action, put yourself in the spirit. We are not looking around, get in the spirit and we are going to cry out to the Lord tonight, that we are a people that are here because we believe that the holy spirit wants to speak to us. I want everyone to pay attention to what we are doing right now, we are doing spiritual warfare. Raise your voice to the Lord.
Father we adore you, we bless you. Holy Spirit fill your people, Lord. Hallelujah!. We adore you, Father. Let's cry out to the Lord, brothers. We are going to cry out to the Lord, we are going to raise the presence of God in this place. Thank you Jesus, your people praise you, Lord. Your people are filled with You. We open our mouths, Father, and we drink pitchers of spiritual waters, Lord, tonight. We proclaim you King and Lord in this city. The year 2006, Father, we proclaim that it is a year of miracles, it is a year of blessing, it is a year of war, it is a year of anointing for your people, Father. We adore you. Let that praise be heard from the people of God. Let's see, don't get tired of raising your prayer to the Lord. Raise your prayer to God. Believe that God hears the prayer of a passionate people for Him. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you Jesus. We adore you, we adore you. Raise that spiritual temperature now. Raise that spiritual temperature. We bless you, Lord.
You don't have to be an expert, a veteran of the things of God. This may be the first night you come here. God wants to hear your prayer. Thank you Jesus. Flow Lord in our midst tonight. Father, we rebuke, we rebuke spiritual mediocrity. We rebuke spiritual passivity, Lord. We rebuke simply living in neutral and ask, oh God, that you put your direction in us, Father, that you be the driving force of our lives. Holy Spirit we claim your anointing tonight, Lord. As your people, Father, we are not here simply for adornment, Father, we are here because we yearn for more of You. We adore you, Lord. Lift up your spirit, Father, tonight in our midst. Oh Jehovah dig deep in us, dig deep in us. Fill us, fill us, fill us, more and more. We want more of you, Lord. We want more of your glory. We want more of your anointing, Father. Exalt yourself Lord in the midst of your people. Flow Lord. Flow Lord, don't get tired of crying out to the Lord. Don't get tired of raising your voice to the Lord. We need to bless this city of Boston, brothers. We need to tear down principalities and powers. We have to put to flight the powers of the devil who want to take over this city and this nation. We need to stand in the gap and cry out to the Lord and say, 'Devil, you're not going to possess this city. This city we reclaimed for Christ in the year 2006. In this city we declare that things will happen in Jesus' name, that the hosts of hell will be driven away and driven back in Jesus' name. Oh Lord and we will see your fire, and we will see your signs, and we will see your prodigies, Father, and they will talk about what happened in this city. And they will come from many nations, they will come with their firewood extinguished and cold to catch the fire that will be in this city. Hallelujah! And they will come here to learn, to take your word, take your teaching, take your prophetic anointing to other places.
We declare that this city of Boston will be a place of revival, Lord. It will be called an exemplary city, O God. It will again be called the foundation city, Hallelujah! It will again be called a well that God has opened for the water that once flowed to flow. Oh holy, holy, holy. And the people of God stand in the gap and tell you: Satan, you will not pass through this place. We defeat you in the name of Jesus.
And Father, we claim in the name of Christ, a powerful family, a people filled with the holy spirit, a people who know how to make war for their God. Oh saint, we renew our mind, Lord, in you. We renew our spirit in you tonight. Father, we rebuke the spirit of mediocrity. We rebuke the religious spirit. Sir, we rebuke the ritualistic spirit. We rebuke the mediocre spirit, Lord, tonight. O Jehovah. We rebuke the absent mind, Father, of your things. And we declare your fire, Lord, in this city of Boston. We declare that the airs are cleared, they are open for your anointing to go and for the praises and the cry of the people of God to rise.
Father, we declare that the children will put the demons to flight. We declare that the elderly will be renewed and that they will dream dreams for your glory, Lord. That indifferent young people, Father, are going to be calcined by God and burned by the ardor of the fire of your passion, Father. Hallelujah! We claim an understood people, Lord. We adore you, Lord. We declare, we declare your fire on the city of Boston, rain fire on the city of Boston, Lord. Oh we adore you God. We bless you, Lord. Oh, you are mighty God. You renew the family, Father, tonight. You renew the fire of your people, Father. Oh Lord help us to see you God in your glory, to see you sitting on your throne, Father. Let's see those old people, Lord, who adore you and say: holy, holy, holy, holy, holy, holy.
You are Jehovah of hosts. You are the warrior god. Oh Father, you are the God who keeps his promises. You are the God who has never been defeated and will never be defeated, Father. We praise and bless you, Lord. God's anointing descends. God's anointing descends on the city of Boston. Anointing of God clarifies the understanding, Lord. We rebuke tonight, Father, spiritual blindness. We rebuke tonight the artificial burdens that the devil places on the shoulders of your children, Lord. We rebuke, Father, the blinded eyes and we wash them with eye salve of the spirit, Lord. Hallelujah!
We adore you, Lord, and we bless you tonight. We give you grace, Father, for your renewing power in our midst. Thank my Lord. Thank the Lord. Thank God. Thank the Lord. Because his presence is with us, remember that. Hallelujah!. God has called us to be a warrior people. God called us to be a people that is always on fire in the spirit, brothers. Remember that. God has not called you simply to be a church, to be a religion. I ask that the Lord unify our people in this year 2006, so that we are all in the same spirit, the same unity of spirit, brothers, a Pentecostal people. Amen. Everyone say 'Pentecostal' 'Pentecostal'. A people filled with the holy spirit, a people that moves in the gifts of the spirit, a people of authority, brothers. This is what God wants. God is tired of spiritual lukewarmness, listen to me. God is tired, we must all be tired of spiritual lukewarmness. God wants us to be on fire for him. That we love him above all things. That's the word of the Lord tonight. Take a seat, but take a seat only physically, in your spirit and in your mind, stay standing listening to the word of the Lord.
Brothers, God has told me that this is a year in which He is going to make two elements dwell and dwell among us. There are two elements that God wants us to make central in our lives. These are the two things that should base the walk of the believer. A few weeks ago we had a time of vigil here in the church, and at the beginning of the service the Lord put in my heart and in my mind two elements that in reality, we talked about them, we have meditated on them but I had never seen them in unity, so side by side, in the way that God wants those two elements to move in our midst.
Those two elements are the anointing of God and the joy of God. And God put me, through two symbols that came to my mind before beginning that waking time, and it was.... I asked Meche to bring me vessels from home where we could put oil and wine. And those two elements, I have been thinking about them throughout these weeks. The oil and the wine represent the oil, the anointing of God and the wine represents the joy of God. And these are two elements that God wants to dwell in our hearts and in our lives and that we fill our lives with these two things.
These are the two things, brothers, that defeat the devil. These are the two things that allow us to live in the victorious life that Christ has called us to live. And if you look in a concordance like I did recently, you're going to see this mutual company that makes oil and wine. Several times in the Bible oil and wine are mentioned together, as two elements that are key to our walk.
If you look right here in Joel, Chapter 2, you're going to see, there's a promise to God's people in these verses, and there in verse 22 at the end it says “...the trees they will bear their fruit, the fig tree and the vine will bear their fruit.” And you can begin to see there that combination in the fig tree and in the vine of the fig tree that produces the oil and the vine that produces the wine and that..... there is here in the Bible like that consonance, that continuous repetition of those two elements that have a physical function, but also have a spiritual function because there is something in those two elements that are intrinsically linked that are part of the believer's life. If you look in Psalm 104, in verse 14 it says that 'God produces hay for the beasts and grass for man's service, drawing bread from the earth, and it says that He also produces wine, which makes the soul happy. heart of man, I am in verse 15, the wine that gladdens the heart of man and the oil that makes the face shine. The wine that gladdens the heart and the oil that shines the face.
If you go to the Gospel according to Saint Luke, in Chapter 10, in the famous parable of the good Samaritan, that comes up again. You will remember that when the Samaritan takes this man who has been wounded and beaten by robbers, which are symbols of all those negative elements in our lives, which rob us of our strength, which rob us of our blessing, they take us off the path that we carry. These thieves are a symbol of the demonic element in our lives, satanic, demonic evil, which brings disease into our lives, which brings poverty, which brings decay, which brings depression, which brings anxiety, which brings emotional and mental ties that are continually affecting us. remembering those negative elements of our life from the past and that keep us tied up and victimized. And the parable says that when the Samaritan took this man to the inn and before that he says ".... who approached saw this man, was moved to mercy and approaching bandaged his wounds, (that is what the Lord Jesus Christ does , that is what God does in our lives, when we enter the Gospel, the Lord rescues us, draws near to us, bandages our wounds), he says... pouring oil and wine on them.” These two elements are there continuously, I imagine that the oil, in this case of wounds, represented something that softens, something that lubricates, something that numbs perhaps, and that brings a bit of rest to pain due to its ability simply to warm and to soften; and wine is somewhat caustic, which because of its alcohol content, I imagine, purely physically speaking, heals and kills infections and kills germs, and kills polluting things.
So these two elements wine and oil, like in the healing of wounds, make a very beautiful complementary combination, one softens and calms and lubricates and the other penetrates deeply and burns and burns and with its heat destroys negative things. And I think that's a good example of what the anointing of God combined with the joy of God does in our lives.
Brothers, we are called, as God's people, to move to the supernatural realm, in the realm of the mysteries of the spirit. God doesn't want us to be people just consuming information. I see many Christians who come to church and always remain stuck at the same spiritual level and do not progress, they always remain children, and you see it year after year, the same religious attitude, the same spiritual quagmire, because they have not entered that supernatural dimension where the mysteries of God have the opportunity to manifest themselves in our lives. And we have to be a wise people and understood in the things of the spirit. And these things of anointing and joy for me are spiritual elements that cannot be understood if we do not dwell in that dimension of the spirit, otherwise they will simply be beautiful metaphors, they will simply be poetic images that we will use from time to time in praise and in prayer. preaching, but they will not apply in our lives until we adopt a supernatural mentality. Say amen, even if you don't understand what I'm saying.
Brothers, God wants you to begin to ask Him to pour out spiritual understanding on your life, that you begin to move in that spiritual realm where He can make possible the understanding of these mysteries to which I am referring to tonight. Because God's anointing ultimately has no explanation. The anointing of God there is no way that you, theologically or rationally, can explain to someone what the anointing is. The anointing of God is something that comes directly from God and that fills and touches your life. It is a spiritual fuel, it is spiritual gasoline, that you open your inner being, open your mind, open your spiritual mouth and that fullness of the Holy Spirit descends on your life. It is like oil, that is why I think it is compared to oil, in the sense that it is applied to you, it is applied to your life and it penetrates the pores of your life, it opens the pores of your life, and enter the power of God in you. And what you couldn't do before, what you couldn't understand before, what you couldn't process before, now you can do it, because God's anointing has entered your life and has enabled you to process things. and the mysteries of God. And that is what God wants you to have in your life.
That is why when the Lord Jesus Christ spoke to his disciples in the Book of Acts, and told them not to move from Jerusalem until they were filled with the holy spirit, until they receive the anointing of God. Because until then they were just ordinary men, to a certain extent, who were moving only in their own strength. They had the knowledge that Christ had given them, they had the experiences that He had given them, they had done certain spiritual exercises, but they still lacked that element that could ignite everything they had received and that could communicate life and the capacity for them to act. about it. That is the anointing that you need and that I need for our life.
Many of us enter the Gospel and we think that simply being evangelical, that simply coming to church, that simply making spiritual and religious motions, that in some way it is like it is going to have a effect on our lives and it will transform us. At most what that can do is make a reform, and it can help you because you are going to learn certain principles that if applied if it gives results. But, brothers, God wants to take you to another level of life and to another level of effectiveness where you can receive something different, something that accelerates your growth process. And that is the anointing of the Lord. It is the power of the holy spirit that fills your life. It is that search that you need.
That is why I understand how it is possible..... sometimes evangelicals say well, I received Christ and I have Jesus, and the Bible says that if I have Christ and I have the holy spirit and therefore I no longer need to search for anything else. Well, that sounds very nice, but that's not what the Bible says I have and that's not what I see throughout all of Scripture. I see that there is an experience that is called receiving Christ as Lord and savior, which makes us saved and certainly makes us accepted before the Father, but I believe that the Bible over and over again tells us that we have to go a little further where we enter into an intimacy with God and where God begins to empower us and God begins to fill us with his anointing and with his spirit. And then that activates the truths that we are receiving. That gives body to the experiences that we are having in our life. And that requires an additional experience, that is why it is very clear, one without making judgments, let's say excessive, there is something that the person who has that experience of the holy spirit has, it is not that they are perfect, rather I would say that there is Sometimes, brothers, there are people who have the anointing of God and are much more imperfect in their character and in their dealings with others than those who do not have the anointing. However, in those people, who have that touch of the holy spirit, there is a conviction, there is a passion, there is an effectiveness at a certain level of life that one can identify that presence of the spirit of God in them.
Now, the important thing is that God wants us to use that spirit to break character imperfections, to ask the Lord to give us the fruit of the holy spirit, to enter another level of effectiveness also in our human relationships. and other things, but it is important, brothers, that we ask the Lord 'Father, send that anointing of your spirit on my life.'
And God wants the Lion of Judah in this year 2006 to move more deeply into that filling of the holy spirit, in that anointing of the holy spirit. If you have not received that touch of the holy spirit, I want to encourage you to search and tonight, at the end of this time, I am going to ask those who want us to pray for you tonight. We are going to pray that you receive a touch of the holy spirit. Amen. We are going to ask the Lord to baptize us with his spirit because that anointing is something wonderful, that anointing is something that we need.
Look how the Evangelist John talks about the anointing. Turn to First John in verse 20 of Chapter 2, it says here in verse 20 “…but you have the anointing of the holy one and you know all things”. You have the anointing of the saint and you know all things. One of the things that the presence of God's anointing does in our life is precisely that we understand spiritual things, we understand matters of the spirit, to a level that once we have that seal of the holy spirit, brothers, it is impossible that they come to give us, as they say, a pig in a poke. That is a seal that the person who has the anointing of God has, no matter how many imperfections they have, no matter how many mishaps they experience in life, there is a bond that ties them to the Kingdom of God and they cannot get out because they have already had an experience. real with the holy spirit and that seals you, that burns in your mind and in your heart and even if you try to get out of that, that experience of the presence of God in your life, and that you know that Jesus Christ is Lord , that Jesus Christ is the son of God, that there is nothing outside of the Kingdom of God, that will sustain you and trials will come into your life, and difficulties will come, temptations will come, falls will come, but You are going to know that you know that Jesus Christ is your Lord and is your God and that is going to keep you glued to the Kingdom of God.
That is why we have to ask the Lord “Father, allow me to have that anointing and that my children have that experience of the fire of the holy spirit, because when that fire of the Lord falls in the life of a young person, As an adult, brothers, that person is already irrevocably tied to the Kingdom of God and that person is going to know that he has been sealed with the seal of the holy spirit. And that is something mysterious, brothers, that has no explanation. That is not reached through a learning process, that is simply something that descends on your life. It is a mystery of God, but you and I need it.
The Lion of Judah is going to reach his spiritual destination in this city, as has been prophesied so many times, and glory to God that we have developed a certain level of ministry in this city, but God wants something qualitatively superior. It's a jump like in the Star Trek movies that the ship is at moments like that and poof... it disappears because it went into workdrive, as they say in English. That is the difference. You may be traveling very fast in things of the spirit, but when the filling of the holy spirit becomes a reality in your life, you enter another speed and can pass into another dimension in an instant. That puts you in communication with the Lord. It does not make you, as I tell you, perfect, nor does it make you a theologian but it gives you spiritual teeth and nails, it allows you to have weight in the area of the spirit, it can make you aggressive and militant and convinced and when you speak there will be a mysterious authority in your word, there will be joy when you testify of the Lord, there will be a passion for God. God wants us to develop a need for God's oil.
My brother, I ask you in the name of Jesus, do not be proud, do not be resistant, but hold on to that spiritual doctrine that has been going on for centuries and centuries and centuries of the people of God, you have to look for that anointing, there is We need to develop a passion for the anointing so that the Lord can do the work He wants in our lives. There are ties in your life, there are problems in your life, there are difficulties in your life that will only be subdued when you have the anointing of God running within you. And you are going to discover, brother, that spiritual walking, walking the Christian journey becomes much easier, more bearable, when you move in the anointing of the Lord. What took you a lot of effort, what took you so much work, what seemed resistant to your efforts and your prayers, God is going to show you that it is going to fall in an instant, that it is going to be knocked down in a moment and that your you will be able to move easily in things of the spirit.
When the Apostles received the baptism of the holy spirit, we see that those men and women who were cowed and who immediately doubted the Christ they had seen do miracles and great things because they were not moving in the anointing of the spirit holy. That is to say, they saw things, they still participated in them, but they did so as mere witnesses, who were simply looking at themselves in a movie but were not part of the process itself. But when the anointing of the holy spirit came upon them, the Bible says that in a moment Peter, the Peter who had denied Jesus three times in fear, stood before a crowd and in an instant thousands of people believed in Jesus Christ. Why? ? Because it was the before and after of that spiritual experience. We cannot undertake the life of the spirit, brothers, until we make sure that we have that anointing from God, that is why I encourage you in the name of the Lord, I tell you as the word of the Lord says, wake up you who are sleeping and Christ will enlighten you. I want to be very direct, brothers. We need, once and for all, for the Lord to break the womb so that the spiritual baby that God wants to come out of our lives can come out. May that spider web be broken that prevents us from bearing fruit to the life of God in our lives.
Brothers, we live in dangerous times, we live in times in which you cannot live as you do in times of peace. We are in times that, as the Bible says, God is going to have to shorten times because otherwise, not even the select ones would survive the temptations that are going to come. Do you know that the word of God says that? That the times are going to have to be shortened because the demonic power to deceive, to clothe, to bind is going to be so great that if the people of God were exposed to that type of temptation for too long, they would possibly fall. That is a mystery to me. But the Lord Jesus Christ said it, a theologian is not saying it, a secular person, the word of the Lord says it. One of the things that I clearly understand why it is so important that the people of God in this time be a militant and fierce in spirit, and aggressive in spirit, is because we are not living in common times, understand me.
I would say that spiritual mediocrity would happen, possibly, in another time where there were not the conflicts and dangers that exist in this time. But when you watch television and when you walk the streets and when you see the things that are happening at the level of government, the arts, education, the increasing secularization of man, all the powerful force of the devil to send images fiery and full of colors and sounds and mysterious vibrations to our psyche and our spirit, the person who is not clear, the person who is not superabundant in the filling of the holy spirit, is going to be overwhelmed by the demonic power that is unleashing at this time.
There will be times when churches could possibly afford to preach the Gospel in a lukewarm way and, as I said, not challenge anyone, not confront, as there are so many churches still here in the city of Boston who do not dare to preach the full Gospel, because they do not want to scandalize the people who come, but, brothers, in this time that we are living, that is not possible. If it had been possible in another time, I don't know, but I know one thing, that in this time the Church of Jesus Christ has to be more militant than ever, it has to be clearer than ever and it has to be more filled with the Holy Spirit than ever before. never. And if you want your life to have the effectiveness that God wants you to have, if you want your children to be able to remain and that you be able to communicate sound doctrine to your children, and that your children have their minds and spirits open so that can survive that evil wave that the devil has poured out on earth and that God has allowed him to pour out, the only way is going to be, filling you, father or mother, with the holy spirit and making sure that your children have that experience of the spirit holy too and living in the anointing of God, the fullness of God. That overabundant fullness that allows you then to be a powerful witness of the Gospel. May you live, brother, from victory to victory. Hallelujah!
That's why we have to say to him 'Father, send your anointing to my life. I don't understand what the anointing is, I don't know why, but your word says it and I want it', and then you pay the price for that anointing to become a reality in your life, because you have to pay a price. You have to live like a priest, a priestess of the Lord, you have to abstain from certain things, brothers. You have to live like an athlete of the spirit, you have to return to the time of the Nazarites. The Nazarites are simply a symbol of a life devoted to the Lord. The Nazarites did not cut their hair, they did not drink wine, they were deeply consecrated to the Lord, perhaps these things were not necessary for the common citizen, but the Nazarite was committed to a life of dedication to his God and that was where his power, you know?
Samson, God told him, 'you are never going to cut your hair', it was not so much whether he cut his hair or not, but God had put that as a sign in his life, as a sign to turn away and God's anointing requires us to live abnormal lives. you know what? God has told me 'you, don't expect to live a normal life'. I have already resigned myself to the fact that I am not going to live my life normally, brothers, and the child of God, the person who serves the Lord, has to get used to the idea that you have to say goodbye to normality. . Maybe people, out there in the world, can live, maybe there are others that God allows. But I believe that the person who wants to live in the anointing of God has to live an abnormal life, a life of surrender to the Lord, a life where people see you and understand that there is something abnormal in your life. You have to live as a symbol, you have to live as a question before others, so that people look at you and say: 'there is something strange about that person'.
You know what kills us, brothers, in the Christian life, that desire to be normal. That desire to entertain ourselves as other people entertain themselves, that desire to experience the comfort that other people have, that desire to sleep the same number of hours that people sleep who have nothing else to do, just work, eat, have fun. and that's it. But the people of God live with other values, do you understand? We are vessels that want to contain the anointing of the saint and that anointing needs a vessel that is the best, the purest possible, the most consecrated. We have to pay the price of the anointing. We have to be people who get up a little earlier to seek the face of the Lord, do you understand?
Brothers, that is not easy. I tell you, as the Apostle Paul says, I die every day, every time I have to get up in the morning and sit down to seek the anointing of God in my life, but do you know what? in the presence of God, I forget all the sleep I had before getting up. And that prepares me, that formats your mind and prepares it to live your day in the spirit. Many of us get up, put the radio in at once and start doing this and that and running from here to there, and from there to here, we all get in the car running to go to work and we don't stop for a minute. moment to store the anointing of God in our lives.
You can't live like this, brothers, we have to live. You have to pay the price. You cannot live a normal life. You will live a normal life when you reach the Kingdom of God there in eternity. Then all the pleasures and rest that you didn't give yourself here you can give yourself up there in the Lord, in eternity. The vacations that you did not take here, you are going to take ten thousand years of vacations and you can travel through the galaxies and visit all the places you want, but here on earth, you are called to be a Nazarite, a person delivered, a person who has an appetite for God's anointing.
Brother, wake up. You are not called to live a normal life. God has called you to be an abnormal in Christ Jesus, powerful, full of the holy spirit, victorious, full of the joy of the Lord. Hallelujah!, understanding the things that men in nature do not understand. There is a price to pay. There is a price to pay. God does not want middle class people in the Kingdom of God, God wants workers. God wants people who work, God wants people with fire in their eyes, brothers, delivered to the Lord, head and foot, immersed in the Lord's water. You don't belong to yourself anymore, I'm so sorry, those times are over. God doesn't want you living an ordinary life. God wants you being used by the Lord, passionate about the Lord. God wants you storing the anointing to distribute it each day. God wants you beheading demons and instilling fear in the hosts of the devil.
When God has a people filled with the holy spirit, filled with the anointing of God, things are going to happen. You are going to discover that your life is going to march in a different way, miracles are going to happen in your life. You will not have to be there watching the longed for on television, but they will happen in your life and you will be the protagonist of those miracles, because the anointing of God will be running in your life, the holy spirit will to be running
We have to ask the Lord, 'Father, help us raise up a church, churches, families, filled with the anointing of God because that anointing is what makes the difference.'
Verse 27 of First John says “... but the anointing that you received from Him remains in you and you do not need anyone to teach you. Just as the anointing itself teaches you all things, if it is true and not a lie, as it has taught you, remain in Him."
It says that the anointing you received remains in you and you do not need anyone to teach you. When you have the anointing of God, you don't have to live an artificial life through someone else. There are many people who depend on the pastor, depend on the family member who brought them to church or are depending on the church, and if something happens in the church that is not pretty, it collapses. If someone looked at them badly, they already lost the joy of the Lord. If the pastor said something and they think they were being thrown at them, they already want to leave the Gospel and doubt their salvation and need to go from place to place to get something, so they can give them something and they live from preacher to preacher, like that they are looking for something artificial to teach them, to give them. And the Lord says "no, it is my anointing that has to be inside you and that will make it so that you do not need others to be giving, teaching artificially. I think it is good to go, receive, and listen, but even better is that you have an authentic experience with the fullness of God in your life. then the rest will simply be small ornaments and accessories and touches that God is going to put in your life, but the essence of your experience with God will already be yours. And that anointing of God will remain in your life, brothers. So when you can live in that anointing, which is doing things in your life, the joy of the Lord becomes possible.
See when the oil is flowing in your life, then that oil leads to wine, that anointing leads to the joy of the Lord. Because? Do you know what takes the joy out of life? Do you know what makes us live in anxiety and fear? It is the lack of anointing. It is the lack of the power of the holy spirit. Because? Because we are like Marta, anxious and anguished. We are serving the Lord, but we are doing it in the flesh. We are serving the Lord but we are doing it with human force, we are doing it with emotional force, we are doing it by an act of the will, we are doing it lucidly, because something tells us 'you have to do this'. We are moral people, we are ethical people who do things out of duty and because we have to do this, we have to do that, I have to go to church, I have to serve, I have to tithe, and we suffer with everything we do and not we are in the joy of the Lord, because we are tired, we are worn out, we are nervous. We are like a machine that no longer has oil and that is simply working from the reserve and the metal is colliding with the metal because there are no lubricants. And such a person, brothers, cannot experience the joy of the Lord.
And God tells me to convey this call to you. Do you know, brothers, what is going to destroy Satan in this city and in this nation? When believers cultivate the joy of the Lord as a firearm against the devil. When the anointing of God fills our lives, that anointing is going to open another pipe, which is called the joy of the Lord, and what does the word say? That the joy of the Lord is what?, our strength. It has become so and so clear to me, as never before, brothers, that the joy of the Lord is a weapon of spiritual warfare for the believer, but only when you have received the anointing of God can you enter into the joy of God.
Now I am going to ask you to raise your hand, but I can tell you, brothers, that here as in all the other churches, there are many people who have to enter into that dimension of the joy of the Lord .
Oh brother we need, we need to understand what the joy of God is. If we had that joy from the Lord, depression could not have a foothold in our lives. It could maybe come a little while, but you know what? That when it falls into the wine of the Lord it is immediately dissolved. Perhaps for an instant a negative thought may come into your life but immediately the joy of the Lord burns it, destroys it, because that joy is flowing within you. That is why the Lord Jesus Christ said: 'those who believe in me, those who receive me, rivers of living water will flow from their interior'.
Brother, I have to ask you, does that joy, that river of living water, actually run in your life? the Apostle Paul says that piety is a great thing accompanied by what? , of contentment, why? Why does he say that? Because there are many people, including in our church, who have mercy, but they do not have contentment. We don't have pity, which means that we have good feelings, we have healthy desires to serve God, we want to be people who behave well, we want to go to church and honor God with our material goods, but what? do you know brothers? We are like the Pharisees, in this sense, that we have the letter, we have the external experience, but we do not have the essence that allows that warmth of God to move in our lives, that the joy of the Lord is there.
Brothers, I can tell you in a categorical way that God is saying to the Lion of Judah 'my people, I want to bless you and I want you to live in my joy'.
Brother, stand up for a moment and listen to what I want to tell you in the name of the Lord. God is telling you clearly and I want to prophesy to your life tonight, I want to prophesy to your life tonight. Stand up and receive this word from the Lord. The Lord tells you 'I want you to move in my joy. I don't want you to live from the plate from hand to mouth. I don't want you to live eating teaspoons of my good. I want you to open your mouth, that you receive food directly until it is overflowing. I want to bless you. I don't want you to live your life as a beggar. I don't want you to live your life like a wretch. I don't want you to live your life always running next to the abyss, fearing that at any moment if you don't care, you're going to fall. I have not called you to live simply in the minimum. I have called you to live to the fullest, says the Lord 'I have called you so that you drink my water by pitchers. My joy I do not give it by measure, no matter how much joy you receive, mine will not run out, it will not diminish. I have joy for you. I want to bless you. I want to fill you with my good. Oh I want to bless you in your family life. I want to bless your children', the Lord tells you. I want you to move in my sufficiency. I want you to stop looking behind your back thinking that the devil is behind you, that at any moment he is going to trip you. My calling is to bless you. My call is for you to live in sufficiencies, says the Lord. I love you, says the Lord, and I am happy with you and I want you to celebrate, that you celebrate the fact that you belong to my family. I have adopted you, you did not deserve it, you did not earn it, but I extended my grace to you, I extended my scepter to you and told you 'find grace in me, not because you deserved it but because it pleased me, he gave me the desire to extend my scepter of grace to you, so receive my grace, move in my grace, move in my joy, fill yourself with my joy. Celebrate, sing a new song. Raise your voices, learn to use my joy as a spiritual weapon. Learn to use my joy as a projectile that you direct the devil himself to hell. Learn to celebrate by faith what I have given, that joy is in you but I require that you move it, that you make it jump within you, that you confess it by faith even if you don't feel it, that you raise song even if you don't feel the desire to raise song, that you praise me even if you do not feel the desire to praise me, that you declare victory even if you do not feel that victory is in your life. Hallelujah!
Brothers, that is what God wants for you. Use the joy of the Lord. Cultivate the joy of the Lord. Ask the Lord to make joy a water in which you can swim.
In Isaiah 54, the Lord tells his people 'rejoice, oh barren, the one who did not give birth, raise song and shout for joy, the one who was never in labor, for there are more sons of the forsaken than those of the married, the LORD hath said.
Brethren, look who God is speaking to here. He is speaking to a barren woman, a helpless woman. In the Old Testament and in the Jewish world a barren woman was considered to be a person who was in disgrace in a sense. A barren woman felt ashamed because there was this idea that the only thing that justified a woman's life was to give birth to children and be the mother of children. And to that symbol of sterility God directs his call and says: 'look, raise a song, shout for joy'. Notice that he is not telling that woman after she has given birth, but is telling her while she is still in her barrenness.
And I have learned, brothers, that when one is going through droughts and when one feels small, and when one feels that one is living an ineffective life, it is when one has to raise a song to the Lord by faith and declare the joy of the Lord and fill your life with praise and adoration and seek God and come to church and give to the Lord and serve others. Do not wait until you are full of joy and that everything goes well in life to start serving and living an abundant life in the Lord. Live mechanically by faith, outwardly and in faith, the life of joy, and joy will be a reality within you. Because when you move by faith in joy, you will be prophesying to the outside and saying "I believe that the joy that the Lord has declared is a reality in me", and you are going to see how the numb and clogged pipes are uncovered and it begins to flow the joy of the Lord in your life.
I propose a life program for you this year, for the rest of your life. Cultivate the joy of the Lord. Understand that the joy of the Lord is a spiritual concept, as I was saying. Just as you can't understand what the anointing does, so you can't understand what the joy does either, but joy is almost a substance that you can touch. It is a spiritual weapon that God has given, that is why the coming of Christ into the world is always associated with joy and happiness.
In Isaiah 9 you see that it says that the people who walked in darkness saw a great light. He says that those who were in sadness, God calls them to give voices of joy, of joy. When Christ comes into the world the angels, there is light, there is song, because the darkness flees and the joy of the Lord comes, hope comes to humanity. It is not possible for us to live in chains, depressed and sad because Christ has already set us free. So we have to understand this and see the joy of the Lord as something physical almost and say 'I want that. I am going to move in joy. I am going to do in my life a search and a continuous cultivation of the joy of the Lord. I learned that years ago. I have, sometimes those clouds would come over my mind and sometimes that depression comes at night and when things are physically dark out there, like a mist comes over us that covers our lives and we get that nostalgia and that melancholy and I proposed very early, especially since I entered the ministry. I said 'I can't live in the ministry, living with that fog in my life. I am going to cultivate the joy of the Lord and I have made a program in my life. I cannot allow anything for a long time to take away the joy of the Lord. That joy is not a physical matter, it is not that one is always laughing out loud, it is something that is inside of you, it is a dwelling in the presence of God and you know that everything is fine because God is with you and that if he is not good at the moment, it will be good in two minutes or three minutes. That is the joy that God wants for us, you know? And when the world sees that joy in us, when the world sees that abundant life in you, the world will want that and will ask you, how come you manage to live that way? And you are going to become a contagious person. Why don't more people believe in the Lord Jesus Christ? Because Christians do not exemplify that victorious life, that joyful life of the Lord. And joy, when we cultivate joy, brothers, that will be a prophetic action that will make the powers of the devil flee in our lives. When we raise a song to the Lord, that will rot the yoke, that will scare away those birds of ill omen that want to fly over our heads continuously. We won't have to be chasing the devil.
Many of us are continually attacking Satan and praying against this and against that and against that. That's good, but it has its moment. God tells me 'look, forget about attacking evil and exalt good in your lives. Be sure to be filled with my joy, and when my joy is abounding in you, the devil will simply destroy himself. The hosts of hell are going to be defeated. They themselves are going to defeat each other because the joy in you is going to generate my power, and it is going to generate my anointing, and all other things are going to be destroyed without you having to fire a single shot. Cultivate the joy of the Lord. Cultivate the anointing of God in your life.
I ask the Lord that this year that all those who work in this church, the leaders, the musicians, the worshipers, be filled with the spirit of God, be filled with the anointing of God, be filled of the joy of the Lord. When that joy is moving in our lives, brothers, we are going to see great things. Our leadership is going to be different. What cost you so much work, God will do it in a moment. God is going to raise the terrible stones to be able to establish his temple, as the word says, with acclamations of grace, grace to her. What seems like a terribly difficult task is going to be relatively easy because what is going to lift the weight is going to be the anointing of God in your life.
We're going to stand up and we're going to ask the Lord to make that word come alive within you tonight. I want us to make a pact in the Lord, I want to invite you to come forward here, especially those who feel they need that anointing of God in their lives, that filling of the Holy Spirit, that touch of the Holy Spirit in your life. Come here because we want you, we want to pray with you tonight. We want to invoke I don't know how the weather is, but you're going to excuse me if something doesn't fit into what we had on the program, but you understand that what the Lord wants has to happen tonight, brothers. Have a good time here, because God wants to do a work here in your life. go well forward and give space to others. I want all of us to get, get aggressive tonight, get aggressive in spirit. Feel that there is a lion within you that is roaring within you. Amen. Visualize spiritual aggressiveness. Come here. Let's come over here, let's make a little mess tonight. Oh glory, glorify the Lord. I feel the presence of God. Give glory to God. Hallelujah! Because God is here and get, get to act now in the spirit. Let's see, the Lord is going to direct you, don't worry if you don't have experience, the anointing of the saint will direct what you have to say to the Lord tonight, but start asking the holy spirit to do a work in your life. tell the Lord 'I'm dying for your anointing. I need your anointing. I want more from you. I want you to break the ties. I want you to melt the web. I want you to tear down the walls in my life. Oh glory to the Lord. Let your mouth move, let your mouth move. It is not time to be pious or mystical, but it is time to be harsh in things of the spirit. Cry out to the Lord. Cry out to the Lord. Cry out to the Lord. The Lord says 'open your mouth and I will fill it', he does not mean only with words, but with my anointing. Oh we need you, Father. We need you, Lord. Cry, cry, cry, cry out to the Lord. Oh, Father I need you. I want more of you Lord.
