Summary: Problems are a normal part of life, but God's grace is sufficient to give us encouragement in the face of difficulties. The Holy Spirit can transform negative feelings and bring them to submission to Christ. The most serious problem that paralyzes the Christian is the ignorance of their own identity in Christ. We need to focus on divine perspectives rather than human problems. God has wonderful plans for His people and cares about how we feel and behave. Focusing on problems causes fear and anguish, but trusting in God's love removes all anguish and helps us deal with problems in His way.

Let the one who says he has no problems cast the first stone. Problems are normal and everyday, they are part of life, they accompany us everywhere; to work, home ... even to church. God's sovereignty encompasses all these problems and his grace is sufficient to give us encouragement in the face of any difficulties. God says "Do not fear, because I am with you; do not be discouraged, because I am your God" (Isaiah 41.10a).

However, fear, worries, guilt, anguish, among others, are always thieves of spiritual well-being and the joy of the Lord. The Holy Spirit that dwells within the Christian is responsible, if he allows it, to transform negative feelings and bring them to the submission of Christ to make us better and remain in him. The Lord says: "I dwell on high and holy, and also with the contrite and humble in spirit, to quicken the spirit of the humble and to quicken the heart of the contrite" (Isaiah 57.15). It is that God is never wrong. By putting into the mouth of Jesus Christ the inevitable reality that there would be afflictions and anguish in the world, whether we like it or not, he knew in advance that with the test he would give us the way out (1 Cor 10.13); that with weeping joy will be affirmed; that problems abate, but he leads us by his hand. “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and if the rivers will not overwhelm you. When you go through the fire, you will not be burned, nor will the flame burn in you. (Isaiah 43.2)

Personally I believe that the most serious problem that paralyzes the Christian is the ignorance of his own identity in Christ and sometimes allowing the interference of the old and ancient "I" who was a slave to sin, that is, the falls, the penalties, the guilt , the errors that identified us as spiritually dead. The whole problem is that we do not know enough about a divine reason that we should put as a seal on the forehead: the old man (woman) that he was, was crucified on the cross, we died with Christ and we will live with him (Ro 6.6-8 ). God circumcised the human heart as well as the mind of the Christian by the power of his Spirit. You just have to believe it. We are kept in God with Christ, but we must remember something essential to live: our mind must be focused on divine perspectives and not on human problems. God explains it best when he says: Concentrate your attention on things above, not on things on the earth, for you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. (Col 3.2-3).

The Lord has wonderful plans for His people. Let us not doubt it. The future is your redemptive vision for humanity, not ours. We are part of his plan despite our weaknesses. He is greater than any problem, be it of the mind, or of the body, or of the spirit. God cares about how we feel and the ways we behave accordingly. One of the reasons why he bequeathed his Word to us is to provide us with paths of justice and thus walk confidently in the process of spiritual maturity. There is a better way to live and think. Focusing on problems will cause fear and anguish that are avoidable if we reorient ourselves on the compass coordinates of His mind and the blessing of His care.

There was a time - in my adolescence - when I lived absorbed and distracted, introspective and distant. I was able to understand the true causes exactly when Christ rescued me from those darkness that plunged me into a then inexplicable delirium and a sick melancholy. It was the way to attract attention to alleviate my self-pity, it was the search for pressing affections that I did not have in my home because they were bad times and the parents prioritized the provision for the stomach and did not pay much attention to the need for love for their children . Christ began the good work in me some years ago and, as if his grace were little, he gave me a partner who practices psychiatry with a Christian perspective to take care of me in health.

The conviction that he loves us will remove all anguish, help us deal with problems in his way and not our way, and will preserve us for his glory. He has promised wellness plans for his children; Believe it or not, he beat the world. Hallelujah!

God bless your Word!
