God and creation

Can you live without faith? Of course yes! In fact, many people declare themselves atheists or agnostics. Atheists deny the existence of God, but agnostics declare that knowledge of the divine is inaccessible to human understanding, as well as everything that transcends the individual's own experience. Christians respect the law others to believe or not believe, as well as to support the philosophical position that pleases them the most, but the Bible not only teaches that God exists, but that he can be known by human beings and they can relate to Him.

In the letter to the Hebrews we are taught: "God having spoken many times and in many ways in former times to the fathers through the prophets, in these last days he has spoken through the Son" (Hebrews 1: 2). God has always tried to communicate with human beings and He has done so in many ways. Another biblical passage teaches that nature itself also speaks of God.

"For the invisible things of God, his eternal power and deity have become clearly visible from the creation of the world, being understood through the things made" (Romans 1:18). It is certainly a bit difficult to contemplate the wonder of creation and the exuberant beauty of the universe without believing in an intelligent and supreme being who created all things.

Many people have been motivated to seek God by contemplating a sunrise, a twilight, a beautiful landscape or a sky full of stars. Those who live in the countryside or far from the big cities can see a fascinating spectacle every night just by looking at the starry sky. The immensity of the sky speaks to us of God, makes us feel small and in need of Him. It is impossible to look into space and not feel that there is an immense being that transcends us and that possesses infinite power.

The great wonder is that this immense being loves us. That is why the Bible says that now he has spoken to us through the Son, referring to Jesus. If creation urges us to seek God, the person of Jesus Christ conquers our hearts, because there is no one like him. Jesus Christ is the supreme revelation of God. He came so that we could all know the Father. That is why he taught his disciples: "No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14: 6). We can all know and relate to God through Jesus Christ.

Contemplating creation we can marvel at the greatness of God. Knowing Jesus Christ we fall in love with God, by his infinite mercy, grace and greatness.
