Summary: Seeking God is not just about religious practices and tasks, but about having faith and seeking Him in intimacy. It's not possible to seek God without faith. Only in Jesus can we find forgiveness and become God's people with clean hands and a pure heart. Christians must continue to seek God passionately and in every aspect of their lives. God rewards those who sincerely seek Him with faith.

He who sincerely seeks God finds him and this is also valid for those who do not believe. Religion seeks God from the perspective of behavior, doing and undertaking tasks to please God, seek his approval and with them his blessings. But he looks for the one who waits in his intimacy, the one who is consumed with an interior fire in his whole being, body and soul and allows himself to be "filled" by the Spirit, in obedience, dependent on his control and sovereignty. Seeking God is, first of all, an act of faith and faith is the oxygen of those who love the Lord, persevere and abide in him.

I know people who say they are seeking God but at the same time admit not having faith. That's impossible. I dare to affirm that God does not care about this type of search that does not submit to his dependence; blessings are wanted, but not subjection. "The LORD is good to those who depend on him, to those who seek him" (Lm 3.25)

Seeking God is not a simple exercise in spirituality, it is something more than prostrating or exhibiting oneself on Sunday in an attitude of supposed adoration, it is not going from vigil to vigil or attending all marriage meetings. The Lord wants much more than that. David told the Lord that only those with clean hands and a pure heart… will receive his blessing and have a correct relationship with their savior (Ps 24. 3-6). Only in Christ do we find forgiveness of sins, only in him do we become God's people. He who seeks God with faith finds him, but only in his son Jesus do we find him, because only in him is there salvation. Clean hands means having been renewed in the Spirit to do good and cast off bad. Pure heart is to recognize that God, through Jesus Christ, has removed the heart of stone and in its place has put a heart of flesh. The prophet Ezekiel foresaw the times of redemption and the renewal of our spirit, now I live by the grace of God: “I will give you a new heart, and I will infuse you with a new spirit; I will take away that heart of stone that you now have, and I will give you a heart of flesh "(Ez 36.26)

Are you looking for God? There is only one way to find it today. He wants to introduce you to Jesus; through him you will know him. “… And the Word was God” (Jn 1.1). But Christians, too, must not cease in our constant search for God. Sometimes it is difficult, because it feels that the hands are not so clean and the heart is not as pure as God would like, but he knows everything. Still, he knows when to undeservedly honor us with his grace and blessing. "Seek the LORD and his strength, seek him continually" (1 Chron 16.11). If you feel like you've already found it, don't be fooled; you must continue to seek him desperately, passionately. We have not reached the goal, we are not in heaven yet.

As God blesses us for his grace and goodness, his search is our goal today; rediscover him, in the act of serving him and others, in the example we give to our children, in the sacrificial love we profess for our spouse, in the detachment towards our brothers of faith. Prayer? Yes, as if the outpouring of the soul was life. Hear his voice in word and in the circumstances in which it is audible? Well of course. But God wants our whole being.

Continually seeking God should be the goal and blessings by his grace will surely come. Pay attention to this beautiful promise from the lips of God: “… without faith it is impossible to please God. Anyone who wishes to draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him ”(Acts 11.6)

God bless your Word!
