Summary: Have you ever wondered who you are? In the Gospels, Jesus repeatedly declares "I am" and defines his identity as the bread of life, the light of the world, the door of the sheep, and more. Through his sacrifice, we are made legitimate children of God and heirs of his riches. As such, we are guides for others to find the way, the truth, and the life. So when someone asks who you are, remember that you are God's property and show it to the world with your life.

I really enjoyed my son's childhood, we were playmates, but above all, we were passionate about watching cartoons. We laughed and cried and some of these dialogues have remained in our minds. One of them is used by me when I want to alert him to beware of the temptations that the world offers him and it is in the film 'The Lion King', when Mufasa says to Simba: -'Remember who you are '. Have you ever wondered who you are?

When we review the Gospels we realize that it is important for the people around us to know who we are. During his ministry on earth Our Lord and King was questioned multiple times about this and the "I am" are repeated countless times:

John 6.48 I am the bread of life.

John 8.12 I am the light of the world

John 8.18 I am the one who testifies of myself

John 8.23 ... I am from above

John 10.7… I am the door of the sheep

John 11:25… I am the resurrection and the life…

John 10.11 I am the good shepherd ...

John 14.11… I am in the Father, and the Father in me;

John 15.1 I am the true vine.

Christ is all this and more, he is the only one who brings Salvation, who died for us and who rose again so that we could also have a death in victory and a resurrection to a new life.

Through his life and sacrifice we are made legitimate children of God, "a chosen race, a holy nation." We are heirs of all his riches in glory, set apart for him, servants of God most high to proclaim his greatness and snatch souls from the agonizing suffering of hopeless death.

We are not the way, the truth or the life, but we are the guides for others to find it.

Next time someone asks you who are you? Just remember where you come from and where you are going and then you can say: - “I am a God's property, with all that that implies, I have an owner and He gave me a name, I am the apple of his eye ”.

But more important than this, show it to the world with your life.
