Summary: The Bible warns that there will be a day of judgment when we will all have to account for our lives before God. Although this news is terrifying, God has provided a way for us to be prepared for this judgment through faith in Jesus Christ. By repenting and seeking forgiveness, we can receive the gift of eternal life and face the judgment with confidence.

When the Bible says that God commands all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30), it does so for a reason that some people don't like to hear. The Bible adds that God has established a day in which he will judge the world with justice (Acts 17:31).

Many do not want to hear of God's judgment, but the Bible speaks clearly of it. Someday, we will all stand before God to account for our lives. Paul in his letter to the Romans warns us that we will all appear before the judgment seat of Christ (Romans 14:10).

About this judgment, which some call the final judgment, there are different interpretations and scholars have not agreed on what the events that will precede it will be like, but what they all agree on is that we will have to appear before it. Because it is necessary that we all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one receives according to what he has done while he was in the body, be it good or bad (2 Corinthians 5:12).

Have you not thought that one day you will have to appear before the creator to give reasons for your conduct while you were on earth? Since God knows everything and knows hearts, we will not be able to present excuses or justifications before him. The news that there is a judgment is terrifying because all humans know that there is no righteous man on earth who does good and never sins (Ecclesiastes 7:20).

However, God has provided a means for us to be prepared to face that judgment without fear of being condemned by our creator. In the Gospel of John we find these words speaking of Jesus Christ: Because God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world may be saved through him (John 3:17). The good news is that God does not want to condemn us on the day of judgment. By faith in Christ our sins have been forgiven and we can present ourselves before his presence without fear and with the assurance of receiving the gift of eternal life in heavenly homes.

Jesus Christ died on the cross of Calvary and took all our sins upon himself. We just need to repent and beg God for forgiveness. As we receive it and experience God's grace in our lives, the fear of death and final judgment disappears forever.

God bless you!
