Summary: It's important to recognize and name our limitations and struggles instead of ignoring them. Specificity is key in approaching life situations and faith doesn't negate the need to do our part. Asking God for wisdom can help us understand ourselves and our context, leading to a life of purpose and clarity. The resources of heaven will come to our advantage as we take ourselves seriously and live from victory to victory.
I prefer to recognize my giants. It is more profitable for me in the long run to become painfully aware of my limitations, my personal struggles, the conflicting circumstances in my life. I have to name my giants, give them first and last names.
It is important that we understand clearly what we are experiencing, that we do not live thinking of little birds in the air, like the ostrich, with our heads in the sand, thinking that if we ignore the problem, we will not have to confront it. realistic people, not to obsess over problems, but to know specifically how to tackle them.
Many people are living an artificial life, without much relation to the reality that they truly inhabit. They disguise their flaws, blame others; they ignore financial problems until they are hit over the head with a bat. There is the poor woman telling her husband, "Look, pay the electricity bill, we are already two months behind." And he answers, totally unconcerned: "Don't worry, we still have a lot of time." And a day comes when he tries to turn on the light, and ... nothing happens. Not! Look lucidly at your situation; be specific in defining your problems. Specificity is key in the Christian life. Being specific when approaching life situations is one of the most powerful principles for success.
Faith does not negate the need to do our part before presenting our problems to the Lord. At times, God will want us to lucidly analyze the situation we are experiencing, the elements that have brought us to the point of crisis, the defects of our personality that continually bring us to the brink of disaster, before miraculously intervening on our behalf.
Sometimes he will want us to deplete the natural resources at our disposal first, before supernaturally intervening. In the story of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes, for example, he first sends the disciples to explore the crowd and discover what resources they have (five loaves and two fishes) before taking them in their hands and miraculously multiplying them.
God is glorified in the man or woman who recognizes their responsibility to live a sober and upright life, walking with a firm and sure step, doing their part instead of leaving everything to God.
Ask God for wisdom to understand yourself and the context in which you move. Ask him to enlighten you to know yourself and the people with whom you interact every day. Ask him for a lucid look, illuminated by his Word and the Holy Spirit, to see things exactly as they are, instead of fooling yourself by disguising them or giving them the wrong name.
If you begin to take yourself seriously, as God takes you, and you set out to live a life of purpose and clarity, the resources of heaven will come to your advantage, and you will receive the wisdom you need to live from victory to victory.
