God size answer

Despite his stumbling blocks (what leader doesn't?), Joshua was a man of prayer who trusted the Lord's promises. I imagine Josué in the middle of the battles at a time when the sword of the adversary came upon him remembering the voice of the Lord encouraging him in a supernatural way: "Remember, I will not abandon you. This is my promise to the end. Just be brave and continue striving ".

No one is born a leader. The leader is made. There may be skills and attractions that point to certain leadership aptitudes, but it is character that defines leadership centered on the will of God. The church needs both men of charisma and men of character, but preferably the latter because they are the best candidates to lead others. Why? Because they give great importance to humility, because they know how to depend absolutely on the power of God for him to do His work of redemption and salvation. Joshua knew that the victories he left behind and the conquests of enemy territories by the sword were not a product of his obedient leadership, but of depending on the power of God.

The Amorites fled in terror from the Lord's army, but divine intervention was necessary for total victory to be consummated. And Joshua cried out to God asking for what seemed impossible in the presence of all Israel: “Sun, stand still in Gibeon, and your moon, in the Valley of Aijalon (Joshua 10.12). Immediately came God's answer: “And the sun stood still, and the moon stood still…” (Joshua 10.13a). The Lord was fighting for His people, so any miracle can happen. And this is a message for the church of Jesus Christ and very especially for the intercessors; for men and women of prayer.

Joshua, repentant of his fault in making an alliance with the Gibeonites without consulting him, now prayed confidently in the midst of combat, crying out for divine action to achieve victory. A hail shower struck the enemy and darkened the day and lengthened the night. The most powerful army of the 5 kings in the entire territory was lying on the battlefield because God was fighting for his people. Israel would not forget that day. The church that prays is like a Gilgal of miracles. The leader who prays for the supernatural and extraordinary with humility and faith receives God-sized answers… if his faith puts Jesus at the center, if he cries out for God's will to be propitious. I have seen it on more than one occasion. You are not?

God hears the prayer that is born from a humbled heart and that trusts in his power to do the impossible for his children, removes fears to advance and grow in spiritual maturation without losing perspective of the goal that is Christ, our hope. ; he confuses those who try to remove the foundations founded on the Rock and finally, takes justice from their hand with portentous acts to destroy everything that prevents the advance of his Kingdom. For the love of his bride, the church, He can hold the sun at its zenith and the moon at the top of the mountain. But beware!; It is not about the one who prays, it is not about prayer, but about Jesus, the will of God. He is always faithful, the finisher of faith. Everything is a matter of faith.

Each day in Christ is a new opportunity to glorify God and worship the one who lives forever. Worship the Lord in the midst of your battles. Seek him Church, because he does not stop fighting for a moment on your behalf!
