Summary: When God puts a vision or project in our hearts, not everyone will understand it, and we must be careful who we share it with. We need allies and cooperation, but also a private dimension where we share with those who truly believe in God's power. Miracles often involve a process, and God loves processes. We must have faith and patience to see them unfold gradually. God works supernaturally through nature, human processes, and interventions. We should not limit God or put obstacles to His blessings because of our narrow vision. We need persistent and ambitious faith in the long term.
When God puts something in their heart, not everyone will understand the vision that God has given, or the project that God has put in their heart and if you share it with inadequate people of little faith, what they will do is that They will kill the dream of God in your life. We have to be very careful with whom we share the great dreams and the great miraculous visions that we have in our hearts.
People can help us to a certain extent and they are necessary, we have to look for allies and the cooperation of others but we also have to have a private dimension, a dimension where we close ourselves with people who are truly living our drama and who believe in God. powerful that we believe in, and use them to strengthen our faith, to pray with us, to encourage us in the vision that God has given us. Because when we spend time trying to convince those who do not believe in the legitimacy or validity of our views, we often waste time and what we do is we waste precious opportunities to focus our energy on what really matters.
There is another thing about this miracle and that is that there is a lot of process involved in it. It takes time, it takes effort, you have to look for pots everywhere, you have to transport them and bring them home.
And then he says that Elisha says to the woman: "Lock yourself up and your children and pour into all the jars, and when one is full, put it aside." Verse 5 of Second Kings 4 says that: "The woman left, closed the door, shutting herself in and her children, and they brought her the vessels, and she poured the oil."
Do you see what there is like? Scripture in this case takes time to describe the whole process, everything that involves because God loves processes. Many times miracles are not going to happen in a sudden way, God is going to take time. Sometimes the physical healing that we are asking the Lord for is going to come through a process, even God can use even doctors or He can use gradual healing, or He can use partial healing.
Many times the miracles that the Lord Jesus Christ did such as the case of the blind man who smeared mud with dirt and saliva, and when the first application the blind man said that the Lord asked him: well, what do you see? and he said: well I see men who move as if they were trees, and he saw that he needed another round of the miracle, and then he prayed for him again, and then the man saw clearly. Sometimes the Lord's miracles are like this, they are gradual, they are gradual and we have to have the faith to keep looking, keep asking until God does His work completely.
God is a God of miracles and sometimes His vision is long-term. When the Lord entered the Hebrews in the Promised Land they had to fight many battles. We see there in the Books of Exodus and Joshua how long it took to cleanse Canaan of the enemy tribes and God did not totally remove them either. God sometimes killed the beasts little by little, he was removing them little by little as the Jews were occupying the place because God also had his strategy that he wanted, or rather he did not remove the enemy tribes completely so that the land would not be depopulated. and it was filled by wild beasts, it was taking them out little by little, they were winning battles little by little because God has His plans.
I say that God works supernaturally many times naturally through nature, through human processes, through interventions. Look at how God has worked through centuries and centuries to carry out His saving plan using history, using men, using nations, using political and economic events to carry out His process.
The children of God who are intelligent and discerning understand that many times God's processes are long, they are complex, they are even tedious. Imagine this woman every time a pot was brought to her she had to pour oil, she had to have the patience to believe God and she had to follow instructions too, she had to be obedient, the prophet of God gave her very clear instructions. Go, find pots, bring them in, lock yourself up, then pour the oil one by one, all of this had to be part of a process.
Even the number of pots she brought determined the magnitude of the miracle. How interesting this isn't it? that when the pots were all filled with oil, the miraculous flow of oil ceased. I imagine that if this woman had understood how limited God's miracle was to the number of pots she could get, I think she would have gone to other countries to find borrowed pots to have more oil.
How many times do we limit God, by the way, because our vision is narrow? God wants to bless us in great and extraordinary ways and our vision is narrow, and so God sticks to the scope and breadth of our vision. Let's not put obstacles to God, let's not limit God because of our lack of faith, let's conceive great things and when God tells us: Go, look, go with everything you have, put all the wood you can into all the fire that God has to ignite in your life because perhaps God wants to do something absolutely extraordinary far beyond what you dare to think.
This woman received her miracle through her diligence, her obedience and her patience as well as seeing this unfold little by little, likewise we also need that kind of persistent and ambitious faith, and in the long term. God bless you, until our next meditation.
