Summary: As non-Christians, we carry a burden from the world that is not easy to let go of. When we finally accept Christ, we may realize the price we have paid for delaying. We may have missed out on years of living a life transformed by Christ, and those around us may have doubts about our faith. However, we should give thanks for a God who erases our past and renews us with his word of justice. Delay may have a price, but it also allows us to show the world the power of God in a renewed life.
Those of us who were not born into a Christian home bring a burden from the world that is not always difficult for us to let go of, we do not always arrive young or even single, we are not always people who live alone, many of us are members of a family, which, numerous or not, he has lived with us the consequences of living a life without Christ. When He enters our life, we begin to be transformed and the passion that we feel in our hearts overflows in such a way that we want it to become a flood whose strength drags everyone around us, however, it is in those moments that we begin to realize the price we are going to pay for the delay.
And then we try to convince ourselves that the time is God's and if we did not get to his feet sooner it was because God's will did not allow it. But ... is it really so?
It comes to mind when a person 5 years ago told us that Christ loved us and that He could transform our lives, we also remember that we thought: And who said that I want them to change anything in my life? And then we realize that countless times, countless people, countless times, spoke to us about a God, a messiah, a Holy Spirit, a salvation and an eternal life.
But we thought we didn't need any of that, we didn't want any more commitments, we were so busy with what we had that we didn't realize what we were missing! What we lacked, and we finally have it, but what else do we have?
A world around that is lost and that does not believe in us because they have known your previous life and that even though the years go by they have an incredible historical memory, how are they going to believe in what we preach? AaaaH! The price of delay, do we suffer for this? Yes, of course we suffer, as a mother who sees a child lost in sin will not suffer, knowing with all certainty that the salvation of her soul is in danger and that in that eternal life that awaits her, she will not be found again. with the.
Will not a wife suffer who is living as her husband does not walk by her hand along a path that she knows will unite them for a lifetime with an unchanging love, a love that will withstand all storms because they are united by a cord of three folds ? Him, God and her. The list of sufferings would be endless.
We give thanks for having a God who has such a bad memory, a God who when we receive him in our hearts erases all our previous life and cleanses us so that we can be renewed with his word of justice. A God who loves us so much, so much, that he sacrifices himself for us and that has incredible patience to get up every time we stumble and wallow in the mud again. A God who promises and fulfills us. A God who died for us with open arms on a cross, waiting for you to come and take refuge in his chest.
Yes, delay has a price, but its charm is that you can show the world, as a consequence of it, the power of God in a renewed life. A life that reflects Christ like a mirror. The unquenchable light that came to this world to give you salvation. Don't wait any longer, haggle and lower the price.
