Summary: Unlike telecommunications in Cuba, heavenly communications are always available to us. When we pray to God, the Holy Spirit raises our prayers before the throne of grace, and Christ intercedes on our behalf. God cannot refuse to give us his infinite mercy, as he showed us through his son's sacrifice on the cross. Our God has a strange way of communication, but it's a secure line that never suffers congestion. As we approach the end of the year, let's not hesitate to reach out to God in prayer.
In Cuba, the company that deals with telecommunications is named ETECSA. It happens that on days of different celebrations, communications are hampered and a voice record is heard in the earpiece that says: "Please wait a few minutes, there is congestion on the lines".
Heavenly communications don't have that problem, lines with God are always available.
When we cry out to God through prayer, whether in intercession or by repentance, the Holy Spirit takes these prayers and raises them before the throne of God's grace, Christ receives them and intercedes before the Father as a good advocate, stating in our defense his His sacrifice on the cross of Calvary.
In the face of this defense, God cannot refuse to give us his infinite mercy, the same mercy that he showed us by coming to live among us, dealing with our spiritual miseries and guiding us to the path of Holiness, enlightening us with his words and examples.
So much greatness and majesty embodied in a simple defenseless baby protected by two mere mortals that I am sure that at times they felt desperation for not knowing what to do with so much treasure in their hands and such responsibility on their shoulders.
The Salvador child who divided history into two eras and changed the world in three years. What a strange way of communication our God has! But they are secure lines that never suffer congestion but increase their frequency every day so that more beings can reach him and have a personal and unique relationship.
One year ends. What are you waiting to make the call? God is always reachable, dial now.
