Summary: God chose Israel as a nation to bless the world and Christians are the branches grafted onto the olive tree of God. Jesus added to the Shema, commanding to love God and love one's neighbor. It is important for Christians to intercede for peace in Israel and Jerusalem without prejudice. Israel has not lost all blessing and God's plan for them is irrevocable. The Shema brings new winds of God's mercy for Jews and Gentiles. The promise of the Most High to the patriarch still stands.

God grew a special olive tree by choosing a nation to bless the world and all the families on earth. Christians are the branches that God supernaturally grafted onto the trunk of his natural olive tree. Christ is the graft, because faith has more credit in heaven than the efforts that men make in the earth to earn salvation. Even in times as difficult as today, where the manipulation of the truth corrupts the true facts, the Gentiles (non-Jews) redeemed by the blood of the Messiah, we feed on the sap that flows from the roots of the olive tree of God that is the people of Israel.

The Shema (Deut. 6. 4-5) that Moses taught to the Israelites was Jesus' response to the religious who tendentiously provoked him to give them his opinion on the most important commandment. To the Shema said from the lips of Moses, Jesus added a second project in the form of a commandment so that loving God in such a way would have repercussions on the human heart in favor of those around us. ‘Jesus replied:“ The most important is: ‘Listen, Israel; the Lord our God, the Lord is one; and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength. '"The second is this:' You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 'There is no other commandment greater than these. " (Mr 12.29-31).

It is urgent that the people of God in Christ begin to intercede for peace in Israel and Jerusalem, without prejudice and with objectivity. Balak (Numbers 22), King of Moab, desperately sought Balaam to stumble Israel and curse him. Balak said to Balaam, 'Look, the people who came out of Egypt cover the surface of the earth; come now, curse them; maybe I can fight them and drive them out. '”(Nm 22.11). God's warning was not long in coming: ‘And God said to Balaam:“ Do not go with them; you shall not curse the people, because they are blessed. " (Nm 22.12).

And already in full sanity Balaam himself lamented before the enemy King of Israel: “How can I curse whom God has not cursed? How can I condemn whom the Lord has not condemned? (Nm 23.8). This is a warning to the Balaks these days who never took notes in history class. Beware, people of God, branch grafted to the olive tree of the Lord! Things will not always be like this. The people of Israel will be re-grafted again and will be saved "..." The redeemer will come from Zion and will turn away wickedness from Jacob. And this will be my covenant with them when I forgive their sins. " (Ro 11.26-27).

There is a certain tendency among God's people to think that Israel has lost all blessing because of their unbelief in not recognizing Jesus Christ, the Messiah; and that the church is substitute and worthy of the promises that God has prepared for Israel. It is a pulpit error because everything will be consummated in God's time and it is up to the church to pray for peace between Israelites and Ishmaelites. God has the power to turn the unbelief of His people into saving faith in His Anointed One.

Although there is opposition to the gospel and even arrogance and indifference for the salvation of the Gentiles, God's plan is irrevocable and the promises of the Kingdom will be fulfilled by the work of the Holy Spirit. God has never stopped loving Israel, it belongs to him by perpetual covenant, just as the church will always be the sheep of his pasture until the rapture. The Shema (listen ... oh Israel ...) today brings new winds of God's mercy for his people, Jews and Gentiles of the new Israel that rests on the cross of Christ. It is a cry of hope for all humanity. Remember the promise of the Most High to the patriarch: “I will bless those who bless you, And whoever curses you I will curse. In you all the families of the earth will be blessed. " (Gen 12.3).

God bless you!
