The thief and the door

When God builds doors, He makes them without locks. He doesn't bother to design them with doorknobs so that no one would ever close them after He opened them. He gave us Jesus, who is our master key, to make our way through this world so full of closed doors. And as the world has not estimated the vocation of Jesus to walk a step ahead of us to clearing the way, the Father gave him the authority to reveal himself to us as Door and Way. Ah, this dreamy world of strange ways to find its doors! “Truly I say to you, whoever does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. (John 10.1).

The thief gets the job because of his shortcomings or because of his selfishness. He longs to have what others have, or to have more with the least effort without sparing the consequences of his evil for the victims of his misdeeds. He is ruthless and cruel. To the carpenter who modeled His doors, God gave the keys to His house and gave him the office of major craftsman and luminary of the stars and, in His perfect will, He made it the Door of entry and exit.
