Summary: Father's love is crucial for a child's development and parents have a responsibility to guide and build their homes based on the perfect model of God. The Great Commission should begin at home and parents should provide not only physical but also spiritual provision for their children. The role of the father is irreplaceable and his teaching should be based on his own life and a relationship with the supreme Father. Parents must also correct and educate their children and provide for their households. The legacy of wisdom for life can only be found in a relationship with God and parents should teach their children to treasure what is true and permanent.

We have just celebrated Father's Day and above all we must honor our heavenly Father who gives us so much love, his efforts are constant and he expects nothing in return because his love is free, tax-free.

I really like the way the Great Commission appears in Lucas. He conveys that Christ said that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. (Luke 24.47-48)

As I pondered this, one of the things that came to my mind is the extent to which parents have understood what this means. We know that not all of us live in Jerusalem, but Christ in his immense wisdom wanted us to notice that we all have a Jerusalem and it does not always have to be located in Israel, I think it is very close to us.

Our home is our Jerusalem and this leads to an inescapable responsibility especially on the part of parents who have been placed by God as head and guide of the home (1 Corinthians 11:13 and Ephesians 5:23).

An elderly Pastor said that "the most tender doctrine of the scriptures is the doctrine of Divine Fatherhood", this is irrefutable and that is why parents should be guided and built on the basis of the perfect model that is God, if at least they could not achieve being equal to Him, they will have a visible testimony to show their children, of love, respect and responsibility.

Father's love is essential for the proper development of a child's personality. For a long time mothers have had to cover this area in their upbringing in a vain attempt to make up for absences, but the role of the father is irreplaceable, the teaching of a father begins to show itself through his own life and is part of love. that his children should receive from him. The father who loves his children is concerned about leaving him a legacy of wisdom for life that can only be found in a relationship with the supreme Father. things that your eyes have seen, nor depart from your heart all the days of your life; rather, you will teach them to your children, and to your children's children. " (Deuteronomy 4.9)

Throughout the world there are many parents, even Christians who strive to inflate their heads of knowledge, and then go out into the streets and speak to others about the word of God, but this only remains at the level of the cerebral cortex without descending to the heart. . It is true that we must win lives for the kingdom of God, but this Great Commission must begin with our home, if not, how can we preach to others when our Jerusalem is turned upside down? How can we preach a gospel that we do not live?

Parents, God has placed you as the authority to correct and educate his family, the father who does not correct his children makes them bastards, because what father who loves his son sees him falling down a cliff and does not despair to stop the fall even if in the attempt receives injuries?

It is also the responsibility of parents to provide "because if someone does not provide for his own, and especially for his household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever" (1 Timothy 5.8) and the provision is not only in species; This is important but spiritual provision is essential. It is of no use for children to have food to fill their bellies if spiritual food does not nourish their souls. About this the Lord says: “Do not lay up treasures for yourselves on earth, where moths and rust corrupt, and where thieves break into and steal; but lay up treasures for yourselves in heaven, where neither moth nor rust corrupt, and where thieves neither mine nor steal ”Mat 6.19-20

Teach your children to treasure what is true and permanent because it is what they will take with them and bequeath to their children when they leave, because we will all have to appear before the throne of God one day. Meanwhile, show your children how to live holy, in purity and righteousness, so that they and their children and all generations until the coming of Christ, can be beneficiaries of our lifestyle today.
