Summary: The anointing of God can be transferred from one person to another through the laying on of hands or other means within certain parameters. This is seen in the story of Moses and the 70 elders, as well as in the Catholic Church's tradition of the transfer of the apostolic anointing through the imposition of hands. This transfer can be used to bless others with healing, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and prophetic words that unleash the gifts of God. However, it must be done within the parameters set by God and with discernment. Paul advises Timothy to enliven the gift within him through the laying on of hands, but warns against using this gift lightly. It is a powerful and special gift that must be used wisely.

The anointing of God that is on a man or woman anointed by the Holy Spirit can be transferred through the laying on of hands or through some other way from one person to another within certain parameters.

We see for example in the Book of Numbers, in the case of the life of Moses, where in the 11th chapter of Numbers we see this important moment, verse 16: "Then the Lord said to Moses: Gather me seventy men of the elders of Israel that you you know that they are elders of the people, and their leaders, and bring them to the door of the tabernacle of meeting, and wait there with you. And I will come down, and speak with you there, and take of the spirit that is in you, and put in them, they will carry the people's burden with you, and you will not carry it alone. "

We see in this interesting passage the beginning of a teaching that I think is very important among the people of God who consider themselves Pentecostal, and it is this idea that the gifts, the anointing of God can be transferred to other people. Not in a mechanical or careless way but at times when God is moving in a mighty way, or moving mightily in an individual's life, this kind of transaction, so to speak, is very possible.

In this case we see that God is calling Moses to decentralize his ministry a bit and bring others to help him in his performance of his work of judging the people, of giving advice, of making important judicial decisions, of governing the nation of Israel found in the desert. And God says to him: Bring me seventy men who are leaders of the people and I am going to take from your anointing, the anointing that I have put in you of government, of wisdom, of direction, of strategy and I am going to take that anointing, and I am going to put it, I am going to transfer it to their lives so that they can also be useful to you in the development of your ministry.

What an interesting thing. We see that here is a principle that leaders and Pastors can use in our ministry. God does not want Lone Rangers, He wants men and women to share the burden, but this has to be done in an orderly way. And the people with whom we work must have our vision, they must embody our values that we as main leaders embody in our lives.

And many times we have to pray about the lives of these individuals, impart to them the anointing and the Presence of God so that they too can have the same capacity or a capacity similar to ours, and can flow in the way that we flow. .

We see these principles of anointing transfer in many aspects of the Christian life in our time. For example, in the Catholic Church through the centuries there has been this idea that the apostolic anointing is transferred by the imposition of the hands of the bishops, or the Pope, this is like an archaeological remnant so to speak, of an idea that is here and in other passages of Scripture, as presented, that the anointing of God as an energy that runs from the anointed individual to the other person, if that person is truly authorized by God, and this is a resource that we must use in many ways in our lives and in our ministries to bless others.

Here is the principle of laying on hands for example in services when for example we pray for people to be healed, to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The idea is that those who are anointed by the Lord, who have had that Pentecostal experience, can pray for souls and lives that are prepared to receive it, that have faith in their hearts, that there is some basic level of holiness and openness to the Lord. Mister.

And on many occasions we can bless other people with a prophetic Word that unleashes the gift of God in them, with a greater anointing that we impart to their lives, with a "spiritual vitamin" so to speak that we can transfer into their lives simply by laying on of hands. and praying for a blessing that may come into their lives.

This idea of the laying on of hands, of the transfer of the blessing of God, the anointing of God, unleashing new ministries in others, giving prophetic Word that unleashes the gift of God who does not even know that he has a hidden gift, this is a very powerful resource that we must ask the Lord every day to help us use more and more.

This is what also occurs in the lives of Elijah and Elisha. When Elijah is going to be taken by God, Elisha tells him the following, he says here: "When they had passed, Elijah said to Elisha" this is in Second Kings chapter 2 verse 9, "Elisha said: ask what you want me to do for you before I am taken from you. " Elisha was like a disciple of Elijah.

"And Elisha said: I beg you that a double portion of your spirit be upon me. He said to him: you have asked a difficult thing. If you see me when I am taken away from you it will be so, but if not, no." And the fact is that this was the case in Elisha's life, Elisha could see Elijah being taken by God and received a double portion, that is, a very powerful measure of the Spirit, the power, the anointing, the gifts, the type of ministry. that Elijah had, and then we see that Elisha in his ministry reflected many of the attributes and gifts that were in Elijah, also his own temperament and character.

That is to say that there is a very interesting mystery here, right? We can transfer the anointing of God by anointing others but it is not something we can do like that when we feel like it and how we feel like it, this has to work within the parameters that God has established. That's why Elijah says: if you can see me, and I believe that the fact that God allowed Elisha to see Elijah being taken was like a sign of God's approval.

Jesus also says that when we go to a house for example, we declare: Peace of God be, the shalom of God be on this house, and if those who are there in that house dwell there, they are worthy to receive the blessing, that blessing will rest about them.

Then there is this idea that, well: if it is the Will of God and if it is the propitious moment, and we have correctly discerned, as we lay hands, bless, impart anointing, declare God's blessing, that blessing will manifest itself in life. of that person. And therefore it represents a resource that we must learn to use more and more, asking the Lord to give us faith and to help us to put the gift of God in us to run.

A last instance is in the life of Paul and Timothy where we have already alluded to the fact that Paul says to Timothy: "I advise you to enliven the gift that is in you through the laying on of my hands" this idea of laying on of hands , but Paul also says that we do not lay hands lightly; in other words, there are people who are always laying on hands and praying for others, etc., and then it seems that the gift of God becomes something cheap and common, and common. This must be something very sublime, very serious that we take as something very powerful and very special. When God gives us the freedom to do so, we must use this gift of God, and many times I have seen in my own life when I have prayed for certain individuals, the gift of God has been unleashed in them in a very powerful way, and these individuals They have never been the same again because God has certainly released His anointing on their life.

So let us use this gift of God and entrust our lives to the Lord so that God can use us in a very wise way and with a solid aim in this dimension of the Christian life. May the Lord bless you and until our next message.
