Summary: The Holy Spirit comes into our lives in powerful and visible ways, and believers should live a dynamic, active life filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit falls upon a believer, it manifests in visible ways, such as prophecy or speaking in tongues. This activation of the Holy Spirit within us is the source of our power and authority as witnesses for Christ. We should seek this activation and manifestation of the Holy Spirit's power in our lives, and not be content with a generic presence of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit can use ordinary people in powerful ways when His power is activated within them.

By knowing the ways in which the Holy Spirit comes into our lives we can then cooperate, and as we work in sync with the nature of the Holy Spirit, then God will be able to use us to a greater extent.

We saw in our last messages how God actually honored the prophet Samuel's promise that once Saul was filled with the Holy Spirit certain things would happen in his life, and how the prophet Samuel encourages Saul to then undertake what he wants. come to hand, and we talk about how this is a symbol of what every believer should do in their own life: live a dynamic, entrepreneurial life of faith, believing that the Holy Spirit resides within us and that he will honor us in all what we undertake.

So after that moment when Samuel promises this to Saul, the Bible says that is exactly what happened. It says in chapter 10 of First Samuel that: "It happened then that when Saul turned his back to turn away from Samuel, God changed his heart." In other words, the Holy Spirit changed his mind, changed his attitude, we could almost say changed Saul's personality and installed in him that great potentiality of God.

"And certainly" it says that when they reached the hill where Samuel had told him he would meet these men "here is the company of the prophets who came to meet him, and the Spirit of God came upon him with power, and prophesied among them . " The Spirit of God came upon Saul with power.

Doesn't that sound very familiar to you? because that is exactly what the Bible tells us that happened in the life of that other company of men and women that we find in the Book of Acts, where the Lord Jesus Christ told them: "Stay in Jerusalem and wait there until it comes over. you the power of the Holy Spirit. "

And we see that in the Book of Acts over and over again we are told of that Holy Spirit coming with power, that is, in strong and very visible ways that draw people's attention, that create noise, spectacular situations as we see in the first chapter of the Book of Acts.

When the Holy Spirit comes on the life of a believer or a community, that explosion with power will always be accompanied, with visible manifestations, with works that express the power and dynamism of God. In fact, that word that we translate power, the power of the Holy Spirit is that word that is dunamis, where the word dynamite comes from, which means something explosive, something powerful.

I think that the life of the children of God filled with the Holy Spirit is a dynamic life, it is an active life. It is not a passive and quiet life, and only peaceful but it is a life of actions, of great manifestations of the Power of God.

If our life is dull and sad, and passive, then it is an indication of something worrisome, because where the Spirit of the Lord is, says that chorus, there is freedom, there is freedom of action, there are movements that indicate that the Spirit is present. That is why the Lord says that: "Those who believe in Me, rivers of living water will flow from within." It is not simply a peaceful little lake there and still but it is a dynamic presence, water that leaps into eternal life. The joy of the Lord is present, there is power that manifests itself in our lives.

That is why we have to seek precisely that move, that presence, that activation of the Holy Spirit within us and it is because that Spirit is the source of the power of the children of God, it is the source of the authority with which we are going to testify. . If that Spirit of God is not moving in us with power, if it has not been activated then it is an indication of a fault that we have to correct.

That is why we cannot simply be content with saying: no, well, I already received Christ as my Lord and Savior once, and the Bible already says that the Holy Spirit is in me because Christ is in me. I believe that Christians should live restlessly for a visible, powerful, dynamic, intense manifestation of that Power of God that resides in us.

I think that the difference between a Christian who simply has the Holy Spirit within him in a generic form, and a Christian who is filled with the Holy Spirit, baptized in the Holy Spirit, lies in the fact that the believer who has the power of the Holy Spirit within him, who has been baptized, who has had that Pentecostal experience, is a person who is characterized by fire, is characterized by encouragement, is characterized by dynamism, enthusiasm, expressiveness, joy, authority, daring and effectiveness in things of the Spirit.

For us to be true witnesses we have to be enthusiastic people. The world is looking for happy people, enthusiastic, active, enterprising people who exemplify that effusiveness of the Spirit of God, that joy that comes as a result of the Presence of the Holy Spirit. And that is why the Bible speaks again and again of the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a fall with the power of the Spirit of God on a believer or a community of believers.

That is why in the Book of Pentecost we see that when the Holy Spirit falls it comes like a mighty wind and it is like it caught the attention of the entire community in Jerusalem, and the people ran to see what was happening in that place, it was like that there was an explosion that drew the attention of the entire city and people ran to see what is happening here? And we see that those disciples filled with the Holy Spirit, like Saul, are prophesying. In this case they were speaking in tongues, languages recognizable by the different nationalities that were gathered at that time in Jerusalem to celebrate the Feast of Pentecost.

And they heard these disciples speaking, they themselves I imagine, the disciples themselves were kind of surprised and amazed at the things they were saying, because the Holy Spirit had fallen with power and had neutralized, one could almost say, their nervous system and had taken control of them, and they were simply expressing this energy that was within them. And so it is with Saul who cannot resist beginning to prophesy.

We are not clearly told what he was saying at the time, if he was speaking in another language or if he was simply glorifying God with great enthusiasm and authority and power. The fact is that the same thing that these men filled with the Holy Spirit that was that company of prophets did, Saul now begins to do the same things. And this in fact, surprises the people who are around who see this common and ordinary man, he seems known in his community because his family was known, and he was simply a mere layman, and at the moment they see him doing the same things that they do. these mighty men of God, prophets.

The Bible says they said: "Saul also prophesying?" and it says that a Proverb was created in Israel that said: "Is Saul still prophesying among the prophets?" as if to say: What a strange thing! an ordinary man also doing the same things anointed people do.

And that's what happens. When the Holy Spirit comes into our life, the barriers between the evangelists, and the prophets, and the apostles, and the pastors, and then ordinary people, the general people of God, then also come to express the same works of power expressed by the quotation marks "professionals" of religion. That is the important thing.

When the Holy Spirit falls upon us with power, it doesn't matter that we are not very highly educated or trained, God is going to use us in very powerful ways because His Power has been installed and activated within us. That is why my beloved brothers, let us always seek the manifestation and activation of the Power of God that is in us because that power wants to manifest itself in a very powerful way in our lives. God bless you and until our next meditation.
