Summary: God has sealed us with his Spirit, guaranteeing our inheritance in Christ. We often focus on what we lack instead of realizing we are already complete in Christ. The spiritual seal speaks of our belonging to Christ and our inheritance. It is also a symbol of legitimacy and authority. As children of God, we must show the seal of God in our daily lives and be transparent in our spirituality to impact others. We are sealed by God with his Spirit, a reason for joy and commitment, and a principle of gratitude for who we are in Christ.

God stamped his stamp of grace in the lives of his children, he sealed us forever. The influence of his divine nature permeated our human condition and when we were dead in life, he poured out his Spirit complete with a transfusion of blessings to renew us with a new life, guarantee of our inheritance in Christ . "And the one who prepared us for this very thing is God, who gave us the Spirit as a guarantee" (2 Cor 5.5).

There are not many occasions when we meditate on what we have, but on what we supposedly lack. We beg for blessings and do not realize that we are already complete. Fears beset us, misfocused expectations of the world creep through the gaps we leave open. Stress shakes us. Inner peace seems like an elusive goal. The spouse who adulterated his partner, the son who leaves home to enjoy other freedoms without religious commitments, the father who has already lost hope that God will smile on him for once; low wages and life overwhelmed by day-to-day struggles, little self-esteem. Spiritual dryness due to little faith. Rivers of living water that the heart has stopped pumping. "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said: 'From the depths of his being will flow rivers of living water.'" (John 7:38)

-Sir, where are you? -

-I am in you, by your side as always. How can you see me if you don't look for me, if you don't call me? Don't you feel my Spirit? Could it be that you have been digging your own cisterns that do not hold water because they are cracked? (Jeremiah 2.13)

By faith in Jesus Christ God has sealed us with his Spirit. The spiritual seal speaks of our belonging to Christ. We are His property. We have been divinely chosen by God in His Son, the sole mediator of His spiritual blessings. It was his will. Only such blessings are assured through an essential relationship with Christ to distinguish us from the rest of the world by stamping on our hearts the noble seal of the Holy Spirit. Do we believe it? The seal is not only a symbol of belonging, but of legitimacy and authority. It speaks to us of inheritance for the day when God perfects the good work that began in us, it speaks of security and fullness, of the Father's zeal for us, his children.

Are you showing the seal of God in your daily life? The doctor's prescriptions are not valid if they are not stamped. You cannot appear at a pharmacy with a prescription if you do not have the signature and personal seal of the doctor or the institution that endorses it. It is the same with the children of God. The world doesn't give us credit if we don't show it the Spirit who has renewed our minds and transformed us. It is not a question of appearing Christian, but of being one. A life of fullness in Christ must be legitimate, transparent, showing the power of the Spirit in what we say and do, and impacting others.

Spirituality can be an unreliable condition for those who see and judge us on a daily basis. We are "scrutinized" almost permanently by those we want to impact. Remember it from the time you get up until you go to bed: you are sealed by God with his Spirit, a reason for joy and commitment, a principle of gratitude for who we are now in Christ, sure of life forever.

God bless you!
