Summary: This article explores the many women in the Bible who were mothers and played important roles in fulfilling God's purposes. From Sarah and Rachel to Mary and the Samaritan woman, these women were not perfect, but they served God faithfully and were valuable and unforgettable. The article reminds us that no matter how imperfect we are, if we fulfill the purpose for which God created us, we are perfect in His eyes.

Mother's Day is coming, as my father used to say 'created to sell more', because that day everyone in the world remembers the being that they should remember and respect on a daily basis. And they give gifts, even those that the rest of the year only give away suffering and worries. In one day, some want to erase all the abandonment to which they submit their mother and this is not something contemporary, our Lord Jesus had to draw attention to the issue (Mark 7: 9-12 )

God has inspired me to take a biblical journey and it has been gratifying to see how special we were to God even in the sad times when we were worth nothing to men.

Sara in her old age was a mother by the mercy of God. (Genesis 21)

The city of Abel was saved by an anonymous woman who with her cunning convinced the inhabitants to hand over the head of Sheba son of Bicri, (2 Samuel 20)

A maid was in charge of giving the information to Jonathan and Ahimaz so that they could pass it on to King David. Another woman saved their lives when they were discovered covering the well where she put them 2 Sm 17.17-20

The widow of Sarepta quenched the prophet Elijah's thirst and hunger (1 Kings 17: 10-11) and a Shunamite woman welcomed him into her home (2 Kings 4: 8)

Jehoshabet, daughter of King Joram, saved the life of Joash son of Ahaziah. (2 Chron 22.11-12)

There is so much to say about Esther that I invite you to read the book, you will meet a woman who, in addition to being beautiful, was of great intelligence and measure, this saved an entire town from being annihilated.

The old Elizabeth, submitted to the will of God, brought into the world the man who prepared the way of the Lord and of whom he himself said: “Among those born of women there has not risen another greater than John the Baptist” (Mat 11.11 )

The young Mary, humbled herself before God to fulfill the promise.

A courageous and determined woman suffering from hemorrhages dared to touch the hem of Jesus' robe and then came trembling with fear and threw herself at his feet, confessing the whole truth. But her faith was so great that she was instantly healed (Luke 8: 40-56; Matthew 9: 18-26; Mark 5: 22-43)

A Canaanite woman accepted crumbs like a dog and from that very moment her daughter was healthy. (Matthew 15.22-28; Mark 7: 24-30)

By pouring perfume on the body of Jesus, another woman was despised, but He praised her devotion and said: “I assure you that in any part of the world where this Gospel is preached, it will also be told, in memory of this woman, what she He did ”(Mt 26: 2-16; Mark 14: 1-9; Luke 22: 1-6)

Pilate's wife alerted him to prevent the unjust crucifixion of Jesus

Matthew 27.19

Jesus traveled through towns and villages accompanied by some women who had been healed and others who helped him with their own resources. (Luke 8.1-3)

The stooped woman praised and glorified God when Christ healed her (Lk 13.10-17)

The widow offered everything she had because she knew for whom she was doing it (Luke 20: 47-21.4; Mark. 12: 41-44)

It was a woman to whom Jesus first appeared and it was also the person through whom the disciples learned that Christ was alive (Jn 20.11-18; Mark 16.9-11)

Dorcas, a seamstress, known as Tabitha, abounded in good deeds and alms (Acts 9.36-43)

Lydia, from Thyatira, opened her heart to Paul's message and invited the brothers to stay at her home. (Done 16.13-15

Damaris also joined Paul and believed (Acts 17:34)

There are also many women who did wrong in the eyes of God, but for some reason God wanted the memory to be reflected in the Bible, perhaps as a reminder so that we do not follow their examples. Among them we find Eve, Lot's Wife, Delilah, Bathsheba, Jezebel, Ahab's wife, Job's wife, Herodias's daughter, Sapphira.

Women, mothers, they were not perfect, but they had something in common, they served to fulfill God's purposes and that made them valuable and unforgettable.

No matter how imperfect you are, if you fulfill the purpose for which God created you, you are perfect in his eyes.
