Recently, a new believer asked me with great concern, Why had her life turned into a family chaos if she had accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior of her life? The reason is that the rest of his family is not a believer and every decision made by a member of a family has repercussions on the rest of the family. These repercussions do not always have to be negative, no However, they can generate, to some extent, anxiety, irritability or distrust in some of its members.
The fear of the unknown or the known in a distorted way, makes the human being reject situations that he does not feel capable of handling due to the lack of previous experiences and the changes that a person experiences that allows God to enter his life, always provoke fear in those around him. To this is added that the passion that this generates is such that we want everyone to feel the same, but we must bear in mind that our family has not made the same decision.
The first impression that people receive regarding Christianity is ours, if we are very insistent we can attack in some way those who are not yet ready to receive the gospel and even cause total rejection of God, even the same person who just recently If you have started a life in Christ, you may be discouraged when others do not follow it.
It is good to understand that God has a personal relationship with each subject and a time for each thing, it is not in our hands to decide for Him. To pressure someone to accept Christ is to run the risk that they do so by letting themselves be carried away by their emotions and not out of true conviction. Each person must have a personal experience with Christ; do not force others to live yours.
The new believer must work in the relationship with God so that it strengthens and matures spiritually. Daily reading of the Bible and prayer will allow you to exercise patience, love, self-control, faith and will transmit the peace of God to others. Pray asking God to prepare the hearts of those around you to receive it. Remember that only He is the one who does the work in man through the Holy Spirit.
Strengthen your family relationship with mutual respect, this will prepare the right ground to sow the seed of the Gospel. When you win a life for Christ, it is normal for there to be all kinds of opposition, since you have entered a war against spiritual armies of evil; that is why our weapons must also be spiritual. We should not think that our human arguments are going to be the best, nor that things are going to turn out as we want when we want them. We must learn to wait with faith for God to act according to his will in the lives of our loved ones.
