Summary: Interruptions are unexpected events that can change our plans. In the Bible, we see examples of people facing interruptions and responding in different ways. When faced with interruptions, we should not blame God, but trust in His plan and remember that all things work together for good. Our help is in the loving hands of God, who made us with a divine purpose.

The word 'interruption' means the suspension or interruption of the course of succession of events or of the casual nexus that determines them. It is vitally important to ask ourselves what would be our attitude when what we do not expect happens? And we are suddenly faced with a completely opposite situation.

Paul and Silas leave for Macedonia in order to help a Macedonian man whom Paul saw in a vision, begging him to help him. Assuming that God was calling them to preach the gospel to them. They embark on their missionary journey with the purpose of announcing the words of the kingdom.

The verses Acts 16: 16-23 tell us about the interruption that befell them in their journey. Quite possibly this was not in their plans, but verses 28 through 32 give us a clear revelation of the outcome of that Interruption. Not only the jailer was saved, but he and all those who were in his house had the privilege of hearing the word of the Lord.

In the book of Daniel we also read of another surprising Interruption. But with a wonderful result that revealed the glory of the true God showing his Sovereignty, Power and Exaltation.

From Abel (in the book of Genesis) to John in Revelation we read of men and women in the Bible who were surprised with great Interruptions. Which cost many their own lives.

Faced with these Interruptions that life presents in unexpected moments and places, let's ask ourselves what our attitude would be:

a) Complain about God?

b) Blame him for the situation?

c) To think that he abandoned us?

d) Have we committed a sin and now we are punished?

e) Would we lose the desire to pray?

f) Or would we quote that very timely and well-known verse from Romans 8:28 “And we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good”?

Before the difficult situations of life our help is in the loving hands of our God, he made us with a divine purpose. May the Lord help us to live each day under the protection of his ineffable grace, remembering frequently that he cares for us.
