Summary: As children of God, we are in a continuous battle between the call of the world and the call of God. We must understand that the world is not going to love us, and we must not love the world. The world is where Satan reigns with his sinful values, rebellious to the Word of the Lord. When we enter the ways of the Lord, we have to say goodbye to the world and be in continuous enmity with it. We do not get attached to material things, we do not allow ourselves to be controlled by the opinion or thinking of others, we do not love money or passionate or sensual things. Ultimately, our loyalty is not with the world, and our love is not fixed in the world. Our priorities and our money are invested in things that benefit the Kingdom of God and promote the causes of the Kingdom of God. We have to be continuously vigilant when the world wants to mold us, renewing ourselves with the Word of the Lord, communion with the saints, gathering together, continually meditating on the things of the Spirit, and listening to good Christian music. Our ultimate goal is to reach the Kingdom of God with victory.
In the life of each child of God there is a continuous battle between the call of the world and the call of God to submit to Him and live a life of holiness and in accordance with the values of the Kingdom of God. This battle goes on continuously. We must understand that this world is not going to love us and we must not love this world because there is a fight to the death between these two poles of human existence.
The Bible says that he who loves the world cannot be a friend of God, and is more an enemy of God, it says: "Do not love the world or the things that are in the world because the world passes and its desires; but those who they do the Will of God they remain forever "but the world is the place where Satan reigns with his sinful values, rebellious to the Word of the Lord.
When we enter the ways of the Lord we have to understand that we have to say goodbye to the world, we must be in continuous enmity with the world. That does not mean that we cannot love our fellow man, quite the contrary. We must project a life of sympathy, grace, goodness, mercy towards others, joy, positivity but we must also know that we are strangers and pilgrims as the Word says, we are passing through and participate in the world to the extent that we can and should and have to participate but our loyalty is not with the world, our love is not fixed in the world.
We do not get attached to material things, we do not allow ourselves to be controlled by the opinion or thinking of others, we do not let what others say control our decisions or the values to which we hold ourselves or the things to which we give them priorities; We do not love money, we do not love passionate or sensual things, we prefer the things of God over the things of the world, our priorities and our money are invested in things that benefit the Kingdom of God and that promote the causes of the Kingdom of God, our time, our energy, our talents.
Everything belongs to God and this world is simply something that we trade with him out of necessity but we are in passing so to speak and our ultimate goal is to reach the Kingdom of God with victory.
Any Christian who loves the world, any Christian who projects attachment to the things of the world, a career or whatever, the things that characterize the world has to understand that it is not in affinity with the values of the Kingdom of God and has to seek that sense of consecration to the things of eternity.
I believe that a carnal, banal, vain Christian is a living contradiction. We children of God have to keep turning away more and more from the claims of the world and looking more and more towards the things of God in order to truly please the Lord.
So we have to be continuously vigilant when the world wants to mold us and that is a continuous indoctrination that occurs. Continuously the world is going to try to imprison us in its vision and in its way of seeing things and we have to be in perpetual vigilance, renewing ourselves with the Word of the Lord, of communion with the saints, of gathering together, of continually meditating on the things of the Spirit, listen to good Christian music.
We can be culturally advanced people, we can be well-educated people and all the rest, but we hold all those things lightly in our hands because we know that our loyalty is not there and that ultimately as the Word says all these things are going to perish. The world passes and its desires, its struggles, its anxieties, its false loyalties, but the one who does the Will of the Lord remains forever.
The world is deceitful and fleeting without being obsessive about it but we retain that conviction in our mind as a subconscious presence in all the things we do and we are always trying to resist the influence of the world, that is the attitude of a true child of God. , a true woman of God mature and convinced of how things are in eternity. God bless you, we will continue our study in our next meditation.
