Summary: The Christmas season has become a time of consumerism and materialism, with people buying household appliances and decorations to feel the "Christmas spirit". However, for those who carry Christ in their hearts, Christmas is about love, mercy, reconciliation, and being reunited with the humanized God. While some focus on lighting up their homes, Christians bring the light of the world to those in need. Rather than repair old dolls and compose plaster cribs, we should compose the crib of our hearts and let Christ continue to be born in us every day. We should renounce the worldly things that offer nothing eternal and seek the abundant life that Christ offers, eating the bread of his body which is the church and drinking the wine that reminds us of his sacrifice. We should go out into the world to look for the spiritually ill and seize the kingdom, making each day our Christmas.

Since the end of November, all over the world Christmas sales begin. Cuba does not escape from this, the mentality of consumerism has caught up with us and immersed in this sea of lights and ornaments we diluted ourselves a little and began to dream. The "sales" of household appliances appear and even with the ridiculous salaries of our country, there are people who have managed to save, during the year, even years, some money to buy the "necessary" and of this way they believe they have the “Christmas spirit”.

Others do not even reach it through these things, they live in a world where God was expelled and several generations ignored him for a long time, today they see it as something non-existent and they move in life like zombies leaving what they call "luck" , dragging them or placing their hopes on immobile and lifeless objects.

Those of us who carry Christ as a seal in our minds and hearts, live another type of Christmas where the trees, balls and colored lights have been replaced by love and mercy, by times of meditation and reconciliation with Him.

Christmas brings us to a manger of reunions with the humanized God, the God of glory, the only intercessor between God and men in the crises of life, as the word of God tells us in 1 John 2.1 “My little children, these things I write to you so that you do not sin; and if anyone has sinned, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous, ”the corner stone to which we cling in the tornadoes of our spirit. "... being the main corner stone Jesus Christ himself" Eph 2.20

While some are striving to light colored lights, we bring the light of the world to the dispossessed, the marginalized, the poor, orphans, the sick, the prisoners, the list of those in need would be endless, but that is why we were called, to continue the work. that He began when His feet traversed the earth, his earth. What is the use of having so much light inside if darkness prevails outside.

In this time in which many repair old and peeling dolls to compose a plaster crib, we have to compose the crib of our heart so that our child continues to be born, but not on a date limited to a certain time of the year, but every day, when we open our eyes to a new morning, let it be a Christmas in our hearts and the passion that this imprints will make us fulfill the purpose for which He came into the world, renouncing to be the King that He was, humbled to the utmost, in a stable, between smelly manure and animals.

But this was not in vain, it was the purpose for us to understand that we too would have to renounce the things that the world offers, tempting like the shop windows at Christmas, but that offer nothing eternal Life, Living Water, Salvation.

This Christmas let us seek the abundant life that He gives us, let us eat the bread of his body which is the church, let us drink the wine that reminds us of his sacrifice and let us go out into the world to look for the spiritually ill.

Seize the kingdom, only the brave do. Make each day your Christmas.
