Summary: The poem reflects on the wonder and sacrifice of Jesus' birth as a baby, born to a young girl and a mortal man. It describes the uncertainty and danger surrounding his birth, and the immense responsibility of caring for the most valuable creation. The poem thanks Jesus for his sacrifice and dedication to guiding us, and for giving his life to give us life. It concludes by thanking the "Ancient of days" for coming to us as a baby.

Baby, how much load on your small and weak shoulders, all the fullness of the deity in such a small creature. Baby, you were a tiny seed growing in the adolescent womb of a girl, something unexpected and with a perspective of danger, who would understand that a young girl who had not yet been deflowered could have conceived? How to explain who your Father was?

Poor Mary and Joseph, two mere mortals with the mission of caring for and protecting an invaluable treasure, the most valuable of all creation. The pain of the tortuous path through the birth canal in order to go out into the world that you created yourself, but it had to happen this way for your body to experience the miracle of being born.

There is no sweeter sensation than looking at a child while they sleep. What thoughts would pass through your mother's mind when she looked at you in a peaceful sleep?

How much uncertainty about your future! The information was not very extensive, "El Salvador del Mundo", what would be the price to achieve it? She couldn't measure the magnitude of the event, but you could, you knew it and yet you didn't give up, you didn't regret it.

Your body grew, strengthened in spirit and stature and you became a beautiful man in whose eyes all peace and mercy were reflected. Your hands were dedicated to comfort, heal, support. That same body that was massacred by those who did not recognize you and who still do not know you, because they did not know, they could not know. The hands that healed many were pierced with nails in an unsuccessful attempt to restrain you.

Today we thank you, baby, thank you for not having imported your own being, thank you for all your sacrifice in facing your destiny, you were a unique, eternal and therefore valid gift. Thank you for being born in subhuman conditions to live among us as one more, for having dedicated your life to guiding us and having given yourself to death just to give us life.

Thank you Ancient of days, for coming to us as a Baby.
